Shady-chan K i m z y That's the problem. They tried that, but he went to areas that he wasn't supposed to be at. He then got arrested for extreme child porno. Yes, I read this- but why are they even letting him use the Internet? confused Child sex offenders are often banned from it for this reason here. Perhaps they thought he wouldn't do anything bad again (as if).

K i m z y I believe that prisoners that commit a murder should rot in prison and never be allowed out. That right there is justice because the murderer will either die by a fellow prisoner or die of old age. I know! It's sick. Rapists definitely do need bigger sentences.
With murder sentences, I'm kind of iffy on that. I honestly believe that people can change. It's not immediate and takes a lot of hard work, but it happens. Rapists, murderers, whatever. I think if the prison has rehab programs and that they prove themselves worthy - good behavior, noticeable change via the rehab, etc. - then they can be let go after given a decision from the court. They can be put on probation after release, and if they prove themselves worthy, they can go on with life. I'm very iffy on the death sentence- I mean, if they rape and kill little boys, a lifetime in prison is going to keep them from being around little boys. There's no point in killing them then. However, if they don't have a certain target and are just dangerous to the population, like terrorists, then hell yes they can be executed. I also don't see the point of execution if the murderer was under the influence of drugs of any kind or was pychologically disturbed, whether they knew it was wrong or not. And of course, it's illegal to execute people with a certain IQ- which Texas obviously broke recently. stare That's partially why I think having drugs be illegal is stupid. I mean, alcohol is extremely dangerous, whereas pot has never killed anyone- I can see why heroin, etc is illegal, but c'mon...

I rather see the murderers rot in prison than a quick death.
Perhaps they could change. However, I will say that some will change and the rest will kill again.
