Molly had called her brother and told him what happened. He wasn't happy but he knew he couldn't talk the teacher out of it. Molly walked to the detention room and saw a few kids there. She sat down near the door and pulled out a manga and started to read it to pass the time.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is....

Kari sauntered into the detention room with an air of confidence that one got only from repeated detentions. "Honey, I'm home!" She announced playfully to the people already there. Then, ignoring them, she went straight to the back row, far left corner. Plopping down she pulled out a set of tarot cards and began shuffling them. Carefully she laid them out, humming thoughtfully to herself.

The teacher came in shortly after, "alright, just sit down and shut up, and we can get on with our lives." he said, sitting down at the desk. After ten minutes, he stood, "I'm going to go get coffee...no one do anything." he said, leaving.

Jake looked up from his sketch, looking around the room at everyone who had gotten detention. It was an odd bunch. Molly was a new girl, Lily was a princess, Kari was a weirdo, and Sam and her brother...well he never talked to them. His concentration was broken as the lights started flickering.

Lily glanced toward Kari as she entered the room, glad for the distraction of a loud voice, and her eyes sparkled with interest at the Tarot deck. She had no talent for telling the future, but if the other girl did, she'd be interested. Capping the red paint and shaking her left hand to dry her first coat of polish, she stood and sauntered over to the back of the room to the left.

"Have any talent for the cards?" She asked, honestly curious. She'd always wanted to know her future, what with how she'd lived so far. She'd had readings done before, but no one ever got her right. (edit here) She rolled her eyes as the teacher walked in, shrugged, and plopped into a nearby seat, knowing he'd be gone sooner or later. She was right, as the man left very quickly.

She had just turned to speak once again to the odd card girl when the lights flickered. She shivered, despite being far enough away from the air vents, and cursed the schools awkward energy depletion.

Slipping in as the teacher entered, Elie instantly took the seat beside his sister, praying it had not been noticed he was late. He tapped his for the ten minutes the teacher had been there. The chalk board was where his attention was. His sister's, he noticed, was on the window. It seemed like forever until the teacher left, but it was worth the wait.
Plopping his feet on the desk, he grinned at his sister as she rolled her eyes in annoyance of the dirt splattered onto the desk from his boots.

"Imbecile" Samantha muttered as she turned in her seat so her knees were pointing in the direction of the window, away from her brother. As the lights started flickering, she felt her whole body tense up with the sudden change in temperature that followed behind it. Even for the dated school it was peculiar for both the thermostat and lighting to become faulty at the exact same moment. Eyes scanning the others, she realized exactly how anti-social she was when the fact she never spoke to any of them came into her mind. She didn't even remember any of their names correctly.

Molly looked up when the lights flickered and she tilted her head. She then got up and stood on her desk to check if the bulb was loose.

Jake looked over at Molly, giving her a odd look. "You know the Janitor is just going to fix it later anyways." he said, "You might just make it-" before he could finish his warning, he was cut off by a loud scream, that of which ended abrubtly, from down the hall. He sat in his desk for a few moments, before opening the door and peering his head out. He couldn't see anyone..but he did notice a small flow of blood coming from around the corner of the hallway.

Molly jumped down and rushed out too. She saw the blood and shivered. "S-Someone is hurt." she said and looked at Jake. "We have to help them." she said.

Lily turned away from Kari and toward the door, eyes blank, and then stood. She walked slowly, as though confused, and then recoiled at the sight of the hallway. She'd caught sight of the blood dribbling slowly past the corner. "That scream..." She shook her head, as if frightened. "What could have made someone scream... No one would attack a school after hours..." No one ever attacks Brooks Hollow.

Jake didn't respond to either of them. Instead, he walked down the hallway, avoidng stepping on the blood. He peered around the corner, and saw their detention teacher on the floor, his shirt drenched in blood. "Oh...what..." He grew pale, and backed away. He then look around nervously, trying to find some sort of attacker. It was never good, if you coudln't see a murderer.

Lily, despite her obvious preferance toward not nearing the blood on the ground, would rather be out in the open than be stuck in a small detention room. She'd seen Jake's face, however, and refused to look past the corner, where the blood came from. She didn't see anyone else in the hallway. How could this be happening? She was a bit more pale than usual, a stark contrast to the tan she'd so lovingly kept, and the goosebumps on her arms showed how she'd been effected by what was going on.

Molly was scared and took out her phone. She texted her brother about what was going on. She then walked over to Jake and she looked around the corner. Her face went pale too and she started to cry. "W-What's going on?" she whispered.

Kari jumped at the sound of the scream, pulling her out of her trance-like state. She hastily put her cards away, and moved out into the hallway. She padded up towards Jake, peering around the corner. Frowning, she moved closer to the teacher, crouching down to examine the wound. "What a weird wound......." She muttered, then looked around. What could have caused it? Kari seemed oddly calm compared to the others.

"I don't know about the rest of you....but I say we get the hell out of here and call 911 from somewhere safe." Jake said, backing up. He darted to the nearest door, which was only a few feet away. He slammed up against it, and the door stayed put. He backed away, rubbing his face. "oooowwww" All the doors leading to outside were locked completly, and would not budge. Same with the windows.
