Belladonna tugged urgently at her sister's arm. Tears quivered on the edge of her eyes as well. "Come on!" she hissed. "We gotta go! We've gotta get outta here, Layla!" She kept tugging and pulled her twin back the way they'd come.

Layla felt the tug of her sister but just couldn't move her feet as if they were cemented to the ground. The girl turned her head and they locked eyes. That's when Layla's adrenaline kicked in and she ran out of the alley with her sister's hand interlocked with her own and didn't stop until they were in front of the school. Layla, who was used to running, sat against the wall of the school and panted heavily.

Belladonna doubled over, panting just as heavily as her sister. "What...the hell," she gasped between breaths. "What...just happened? Did we...just witness...a murder?"

Layla pushed her head between both her knees and had to think rationally about the situation they were in. They did, in fact, witness a murder. The other thing that her sister didn't know was...the murderer saw her. She stood up and looked at Belladonna, "Yes. What we just witnessed was a murder. Are we going to discuss this right now? Probably not a good idea. Let's just go to class and deal with this later, please." Layla using pleading eyes and hoped her sister would agree.

[Like you hired the girl?]

Belladonna nodded, finally catching her breath. "Yeah. Let's get to class. Prof's probably gonna be pissed." She was about to start toward the lecture hall door when her cell phone went off, her Greenday ringtone startling her. "Yeah?" she answered, flipping the phone open and trying for a nonchalant tone. "Uh huh. Really? Now?...I thought it was tomorrow!...They changed it?Seriously?! Fine! I'm outside the school. Just send Jim over with the car." She snapped her cell closed and sighed. "Sorry, Lucky. Looks like that Elle shoot was changed to today. Take notes for me? I'll try to be back in time for English."

Layla waited patiently for her sister to get off the phone. When she did the next sentence wasn't one Layla wanted to hear. "Right now? But...but..okay. I'll make sure to take down everything you need." She replied like a beaten animal, knowing that her sister's modeling career was very important. Layla walked into school and went to the second class of the day since they missed PE, but she couldn't concentrate enough to take down her notes let alone Bebe's.

Belladonna knew Layla wouldn't be able to concentrate enough to take notes for her, but it had become routine that when she had a photoshoot, Belladonna would ask her sister to take notes for her. To be honest, Belladonna was having trouble concentrating on her work. Not that the photographer cared. Distracted appeared to be the look they were going for with this shoot. Although she'd promised to try to get back for English, Belladonna was too distracted and exhausted to go to school and instead asked her driver, Jim, to take her home. Then she flopped onto the couch and let out the shocked tears she'd been holding in all day, burying her face in a throw pillow.

Lunchtime was hard because Bebe wasn't there, but she managed on her own. Layla ordered the usual and sat down to eat, listening to some of her sport mates talk about recent upcoming stars. After school she had sports training and then a band practice later, but she wasn't up to going to either. Layla already relayed the message to her band mates and next was what to do about the sports training. The final bell rang of the day and it was obvious her sister went straight home from the shoot. Whatever, Layla could survive on her own.

It was false, she was terrified out of her mind and just wanted to get home. She dashed past the sports field and realized in the rush of that morning she didn't drive to school. Great. The walk would at least clear her head and maybe allow her some time to think about things.

[Oh. Well it was supposed to be someone at their school that was in a bunch of stuff...but I don't care. And you can come in soon!]

Suddenly shots rang out as someone started shooting at Layla, likely the same person she and her sister had seen on their way to school.
