[1v1] Teacher vs. Student [Levi/Xiu] Fin

The petite ghoul had gone from a whopping hit to a mild blow in a short time despite the will to go on, it seemed. Levi held her breath at the swiping hit, bracing for the impact.

Then, as if set off by it, a growl sounded from her midsection in protest. There was a silent pause before the tatzel broke out into a laugh. Xiu, ya sure gotta' spirit fer gettin' tha job done. I like that 'bout 'ya. But 'nother thing ta know is when ta fight n' when ta' heal. There's no use lookin' fer trouble if ya'know ya'ain't got all yer legs ta'stand on, eh? Wise words ... or at least she thought so. If hunger was going to play a factor in this fight, it was best to get some food into her belly so she was literally at her fullest potential.

Standing straight, the tatzel ghoul placed her hands on her hips, a wide smile spread across her face. It had been a good day of training for them both. Hungry?

Withdrawing her hand, the baku got ready to dodge or defend when she suddenly heard a growling noise coming from Levi. What was--ah! Wide-eyed, she cocked her head to the side and listened to the tatzel's words intently, brows furrowing in thought. So...there was a time to fight and a time to rest was what she was saying, right? And right now, since they were both clearly getting tired, it was time for a break.

Xiu blinked up in surprise at the question, looking thoughtful for a moment before shaking her head. "I think that I'm oka--" Groooowl. At once, the ghoul's cheeks flushed a deep red and she clutched her arms around her stomach. She was silent for a few seconds, and when she spoke again, her voice had a sheepish tone to it. "W-well, maybe just...just a little!" Actually, she was pretty hungry to be honest. Getting something to eat would be nice! But first...

"Jiejie! Can you hold out your hand for a second?" She held her own hand out to Levi, palm up, and indicated that the tatzel should do the same.

The chuckles continued when Levi got an earful of Xiu's tummy grumbles. This was definitely the time for a break. The baku was just about to dismiss the apparent hunger she too was obviously feeling, but had such a strong will ...

If there was ever a fitting example of what Levi would've wanted in a younger sister, Xiu was it. She would have no objections bringing her home to her folks and imagining how well receipted the baku would be by her Ma and Pa. Though if any smart mouthed boils tried to so much as look at her the wrong way gosh jackin' darnit she'd have them strung from a tree in no time.

The tatzel was delighted to have such a ghoul to spar with in the school, at the very least. Truthfully, the baku wasn't the only one learning in their exchanges. Levi too gained new insight every time they met; it made her proud to watch the steady growth of the ghoul as they went.

Doing as Xiu asked, Levi held out a hand with a puzzled expression. But there were no questions asked. Sure.

Xiu suddenly seemed a little embarrassed as Levi did as she had requested. She stared at the outstretched hand for a moment before slipping her hand into her obi, searching for...something? She pouted a couple of times as the object slipped past her fingers, but after fishing around for a little while, she finally managed to grasp the elusive little item. With a sheepish smile, she pulled it out and dropped it in the middle of the tatzel's hand.

The baku wasn't sure what to say, but hopefully the pin--as small as it was--said it all. There were a lot of people in Amityville that Xiu cared about, but Levi was one of the few who she not only admired, but trusted and adored. And after all that the tatzel had done for her...well, it only made sense for Xiu to return the favour, right?

When she finally worked up the courage to speak, it was accompanied with a little tailwag. "W-well! Let's go eat, shall we?"

The tatzel was fast with moves, but always a bit slower on the logic end. She hadn't the foggiest of what Xiu was looking for and nearly asked when the ghoul finally pulled out an item. The pin dropped into her hand and not a word was spoken. Truthfully, this was just how Levi liked it; saying something right now might have been met with a sort of awkwardness she just wasn't used to.

Her tail, however, betrayed her cool demeanor; it swayed side to side, curling and uncurling excitedly. All Levi did was smile, placing the pin into her pocket while grasping onto one of Xiu's hands with the other.

Pulling her hand back out from her pocket, Xiu would find a small orange pin placed in her hand; both of Levi's hand slid away and were tucked behind her back. Again, nothing was said, but the smile did get a bit brighter.

Turning towards the door, Levi's tail met with Xiu's for a moment in a hold before releasing it like a small hug. Yew got'it, screecheart.
