Roveth thankfully just grew out a metallic wing made of what looked like swords, before covering his own head and body from the incoming shots, though he had actually looked annoyed by Blaze's antics as he growled out lightly "Blaze... you have three seconds before i send you flying RIGHT OUT of Digi-Quartz!" he called out, apparently now pissed off, if the raw darkness aura radiating from him and his Xros Loader were any indication at this point. Grimmon of course used it's Black Blast to blow away any shots from himself, and also turning to look at Blaze menacingly, glowing as if ready to use Chrono Destroyer on his a** if he didn't leave now.

Dracmon from within Roveth's Xros Loader shuddered at the fact that someone did something stupid like that, before shaking his head. ~baka... you should never piss Aniki off!~ he thought.

Astamon, having just recovered from defending himself against the laser blasts fired at him by Grimmon, immediately rushed to Ryouma to carry him out of the way when Blaze and Tankdramon suddenly rolled onto the scene to make trouble for everyone. Phantom Yashamon quickly fell out of his Digi Xros state, reverting back to just regular old Yashamon, to do the same for Ren while Airu was lifted out of harm's way by simply holding onto Opossumon as the two of them were carried upward by Opossumon's ever present balloons.

Meanwhile, Zenjirou and Venusmon were safely behind Atlur Ballistamon while the bullets from Tankdramon's assault were simply deflected off of his sturdy golden digizoid armor. The sudden arrival of Blaze on his Tankdramon caused Venusmon to think that maybe the situation was becoming out of hand and that she might be forced to intervene shortly.

"Are you crazy?!" Tagiru exclaimed between panting breaths after somehow managing to narrowly avoid being hit by the rapid-fire barrage of bullets that had riddled the ground with holes at his feet. "You could have killed me with an attack like that!"

Suffice to say, no one there was happy to see Blaze now that he had gotten their attention with that ridiculous stunt. Astamon set Ryouma back down once it was safe to return to ground level again and Yashamon did the same with Ren before reverting back into Dracmon. Airu decided to use Blaze's little diversion to her advantage by escaping elsewhere with Opossumon. It wasn't like she'd had any real interest in Venusmon to begin with and in the sorry state they were in now Ren and Ryouma weren't going to be of any help to her in securing one of those Pucchiemonz. As such, she didn't see a problem with leaving the boys to their own devices. And besides, with how angry that Roveth guy seemed as she was leaving, Airu really didn't want to be there if a real fight were to break out.

"Well now, that was a noisy little diversion," Ryouma seemed to be the only one who wasn't seething at Blaze's overly dramatic flashy entrance. He had no real inclination to get involved with Blaze or his Tankdramon beyond that point as it was readily apparent to him that Roveth was the one who really wanted to take a stab at them. All Ryouma had to do was wait around on the sidelines to watch the spectacle unfold in front of him.

Of course, neither Ren nor Tagiru were inclined to simply hand Blaze over to Roveth because they both wanted to pay him back themselves. For the moment it looked like the situation was promising to become very interesting.

*~*~*~*~*

"At this rate it could take forever for us to hunt those Pucchiemonz individually," Crystal noted once the Fan Beemonz had reported back with the relative positions of just a small handful of the target digimon. "But then, we don't really have to hunt them all one at a time if we just go ahead and target them all at once."

"It's possible that such a maneuver would be successful," Wisemon agreed from inside of Taiki's Xros Loader.

"But how exactly do we pull it off?" Taiki wondered.

"Digi Xros myself, the Starmonz, and your Monitamonz with Crystal's Fan Beemonz into an upgraded Cannon Beemon," Wisemon advised. "That will provide us with sufficient power and targeting capabilities."

"Alright then," Taiki nodded thoughtfully. "Let's go for it!"

"Well, if you're up for using a Double Xros, then that's fine with me," Crystal responded before looking to the Fan Beemonz that had already reported back. "Let's assemble the rest of the Fan Beemonz."

"88 Call!" The Fan Beemonz reddened their antennae to summon the rest of Crystal's swarm to the area.

"And I'll loan you my Monitamonz," Taiki transferred the aforementioned digimon over to Crystal's Xros Loader.

"Let's get started then," Crystal grinned as she called back all but the nine Fan Beemonz necessary to produce a single Cannon Beemon.

"Starmonz, Wisemon," Taiki started things off.

"Fan Beemonz, Monitamonz," Crystal added.

"Double Xros!" they finished as they stood back to back and brought their two Xros Loaders together.

"Wise Hi-Vision Cannon Beemon + Meteor Cannon!" declared the digimon that resulted from their combination. Cannon Beemon had taken on the jet black coloration of Hi-Vision Monitamon while the huge container that it normally carried on top of it had been replaced by a massive television monitor depicting Wisemon on the screen. Meanwhile, its stinger cannon had been enhanced and modified by the inclusion of the Starmonz.

*~*~*~*~*

"Wait, did they just--?" Akari trailed off as she saw the result of Taiki and Crystal's Double Xros.

Yuu, meanwhile, was completely speechless.

*~*~*~*~*

Wise Hi-Vision Cannon Beemon wouldn't go unnoticed for long. It was, after all, a hundred foot mechanized bee with a humongous stinger cannon and a gigantic television monitor on top of it. The huge shadow that it cast beneath it would have immediately given it away, but if that didn't do the trick the noise from the attack that followed would most certainly attract some attention to it.

"Nitro Meteor Cannon!" Wise Hi-Vision Cannon Beemon declared as it shot out a heavily concentrated destructive blast from its modified stinger cannon. The single blast exploded outward to become a multitude of precision scatter shots locked onto each and every Pucchiemon within range. Namely, all of them.

"Digimon Capture, Complete!" The success of Crystal's hunting technique was then broadcast live for all to see on the humongous television monitor that adorned Wise Hi-Vision Cannon Beemon's back.

*~*~*~*~*

"What the?!" Tagiru's attention was drawn away from Blaze, Ren, and Roveth by the explosion. "Did Taiki and Crystal-san really just do that?"

"No way," Ren was completely awestruck by what he saw. "You've got to be kidding me."

Even Ryouma seemed somewhat surprised by that demonstration of power.

"Zenjirou, shall we wrap things up here as well?" Venusmon suggested as she then loaded herself into his Xros Loader without the slightest provocation.

"Eh?! Are you sure about this Venusmon?!" Zenjirou was understandably surprised by Venusmon's decision.

"I was planning on this from the beginning," Venusmon assured him.

"Okay then," Zenjirou spoke with more confidence and struck a dramatic pose with his Xros Loader. "Let's show these guys how it's done. Atlur Ballistamon, Venusmon, Digi Xros!"

"Venus Ballistamon" declared the resulting digimon, having retained Venusmon's sexy figure while adorned with Atlur Ballistamon's beetle-like golden digizoid armor. Venus Ballistamon was sure to turn a few heads.

Roveth had blinked when he looked at the shadow, and his anger was all but gone as he raised both eyebrows before whistling at Crystal's overkill capturing from the screen, smirking lightly, while his aura faded a bit, and idly tilted his head" hmmm... that was a bit over the top, something i'd see my baka Hikari do." he chuckled and lightly looked to the Digi-Xros of ballistamon and Venusmon, before blinking, and getting a -definate- nosebleed from both nostrils, though he hadn't forgotten he was going to beat the bat-snot out of Blaze just yet, he was just healthilly distracted by female body and male hormones.
PostPosted: Fri Apr 06, 2012 1:18 am
Blaze was visibly deflated by the show. It was obvious, he had... cannon envy.
"Awww, she stole all my thunder. Return Tankdramon. Reload, Sealsdramon!"

"That wasn't the best way to go about things, was it?" the cybernetic reptile quipped.

"Shush you. You think I'm just going to ride heavy artillery and not shoot it?"

"Right, that would be beyond your capabilities. Enough banter, you have a mission?"

"Just need to keep what's inside of me inside. Bonus points if they're in the same condition they're in right now."

"Bodyguard detail? Fine, but I get vacation time after this."

"Shore leave and time and a half, or I book it."

"Deal."

Note to self, ask Nene for a copy of this. I'm missing all the ogling.

There's no way they managed to hunt all of the Pucchiemonz with just that one attack, Airu thought as Opossumon finally lowered her onto one of the neighboring streets. There had to still be at least some of them left. She had seen the broadcast for herself and, yet, she still couldn't really believe it.

"Come on Opossumon," she gestured for her partner to follow her as they went off in search of any remaining Pucchiemonz. Airu was going to have a major bone to pick with Taiki and Crystal if there really weren't any left for them to hunt.

*~*~*~*~*

"I dunno," Zenjirou glanced up at Wise Hi-Vision Cannon Beemon with a slight shrug. "That seemed pretty much par for the course as far as Taiki and Crystal-san are concerned. Actually, that combination is a little more subtle than some of the things they could have pulled off in the digital world without all the limitations that have been placed on the Xros Loaders."

"That was awesome!" Tagiru continued to stare in awe right up until Wise Hi-Vision Cannon Beemon broke back down into its constituent digimon so they could return to the appropriate Xros Loader.

Perhaps it was a mistake to try to get Taiki-san and Crystal-san together, Ryouma thought to himself. There was a strong likelihood that these were not his own thoughts. However, he was profoundly unaware of any foreign influence that might have generated them in his stead.

Ren was glad his fight wasn't with either of them. Blaze was looking like a much, much easier target by comparison. At least, he would have if not for the fact that Ren was struggling to avert his gaze from Venus Ballistamon. He was also still kind of ticked off at Roveth, but now that jerked seemed to be losing interest in him in favor of venting his frustration on Blaze. And to be perfectly honest, Ren didn't find Venus Ballistamon nearly as attractive as just plain old Venusmon.

"Hold it," Ren eventually spoke up as he diverted his attention back to Roveth. "I'm not just going to let you have your way this time."

He defiantly held up his Xros Loader. "Reload, Chimeramon!"

Dracmon was drawn back inside of Ren's gray Xros Loader as the large composite monster then materialized in front of him in Dracmon's place. In the next instant, Chimeramon was already taking a swipe at Grimmon with his Hybrid Arms.

"Eh?!" Tagiru stared gaping at Chimeramon. "What the heck kind of a digimon is that supposed to be?"

"Does it really matter Tagiru?" Gumdramon looked up at his partner with a determined expression. True, they had failed to hunt a single Pucchiemon and even Venusmon had been taken off the table, but Gumdramon still had some fight left in him. "We still can't just let these guys have all the fun, can we?"

"That goes without saying," Tagiru looked like he had definitely caught hold of his second wind. "Besides, we still owe that guy Blaze for shooting at us with that Tankdramon. Gumdramon Chou-Shinka!"

"Chou-Shinka! Arresterdramon!" his partner declared as he assumed his evolved form once again. While Ren's Chimeramon went after Grimmon, Arresterdramon took it upon himself to go after Blaze and his Sealsdramon by charging at the cybernetic reptile head-on while throwing a flurry of high speed punches.

"This isn't looking too good," Zenjirou sighed dramatically.

*~*~*~*~*

"Oh yeah, we've still got it!" Crystal seemed remarkably pleased by the successful hunt as she returned Taiki's Monitamonz to his Xros Loader.

"Just like old times," Taiki grinned back at her. The victory high lasted just a little while longer before they both were reduced to blushing and had to look away from each other to regain their composure.

"Anyway," Crystal started again after the slight pause in conversation. "That broadcast will have gotten everyone's attention so it might be a good idea for us to make ourselves scarce before anyone decides to come looking for us."

She also made a mental note that she was going to have to recruit some Monitamonz for herself to take further advantage of the rallying possibilities of being able to generate such a massive transmission platform. She also realized that by having the Pucchiemonz she might be able to negotiate a truce with Airu by utilizing them as a bargaining chip. Crystal didn't really care who kept them so long as they weren't causing trouble.

"Since we've taken care of the Pucchiemonz, there's nothing wrong with us returning to human world," Taiki agreed. "Time Shift!"

In the next instant, they were both gone from Digi Quartz.

*~*~*~*~*

"Do you think maybe we should follow them?" Yuu cast a quick glance at Akari before looking back to the spot where Taiki and Crystal had just departed from.

"It looks like they're somehow managing on their own," Akari replied with an obvious note of surprise. "I still can't imagine how this finally happened, but this could be a good change for them."

"Then maybe we should tail them anyway just to make sure that nobody else tries to interfere with them," Yuu suggested. For one thing, he sorely doubted that the other hunters he was acquainted with would just let them off the hook after witnessing that large scale assault and the accompanying broadcast. Sure, most of them would probably be smart enough not to want to mess with Taiki or Crystal, let alone both of them together, but then there were undoubtedly a few who couldn't take a hint.

granted, Grimmon was more than capable of handling itself when it came to Astamon, in the case of Chimeramon showing up, it pretty much got slammed by the hyper arms right into Roveth, knocking them both tumbling a few feet away before Roveth appeared from the dust, currently 'sitting' with his head, and his feet dangling over his upper body as he twitched an eyebrow "oh... kay. you -really- want to get my attention? BIG. MISTAKE." he said, as he suddenly pushed off on his hands as he sprouted a pair of black wings in mid air as he brought out his Xros Loader, which look -disturbingly- similar to a Darkness loader as he held it out "return, Grimmon!" he called out, before rolling the wheel at a high speed before slamming his thumb on the button before calling out "Reload, Dracmon!" with that, his favored partner as they both began to glow with purple auras as their energy grew "Roveth... Dracmon... SHINKA!" they both called out as they were enveloped into orbs of energy, before showing up a few moments later in their Adult forms, though they seemed to be filtering their energies together readying for something else "Sangloupmon! Shikimon!" of course, the energy continued to flow as they began to spin around each other "Sangloupmon! Shikimon! Jogress Shinka!" the two orbs finally launched dowards into a spiral, combining just before hitting the ground as a new form, humanoid like Shikimon had appeared, but yet something was -very- wrong with the aura, it was strangely similar to Vamdemon in the fact it was vampiric in nature as two orange eyes opened underneath the brim of the odd hat the digimon wore "Hellsingmon... the No Life King.. has awakened." he said, as he grinned lightly.

Centralized Break, Scene Change Hatsudo!

Shiro of course just blinked when he saw the two head back to the real world, immediately shrugging before flicking his own Xros Loader out to a bit of a swipe "Time Shift!" he called out, following back to the real world, and to get something to eat, and keep an eye on crystal and Taiki in his own 'friendly concern way.

Arresterdramon halted in his tracks at the sight of Roveth suddenly evolving himself into a digimon and then somehow managing to combine with Sangloupmon to become yet another new digimon through a process that was completely unknown to him, although he could tell from what he saw that it must have been somehow different from Digi Xrossing. Naturally, both he and Tagiru became completely awestruck by the spectacle. So much so that they temporarily forgot about Blaze and Sealsdramon as well as the extremely weird composite digimon Ren had brought out of his Xros Loader beforehand.

"Oh man, that was totally awesome!" Tagiru became completely psyched. "I want to try it!" And then he started fiddling with his Xros Loader to no effect.

Sure, Ren was surprised. In fact, he was actually taken a little aback by the fact that the guy who kept screwing with him had just transformed into a digimon before merging with Chimeramon's opponent. However, his surprise didn't last long as the sight hadn't excited him the way it had Tagiru and his partner. He didn't know how it worked and he didn't especially care because the only thing that mattered to him was that he finally had an excuse to kick Roveth's a** directly.

"Chimeramon, attack!" he instructed the frightful looking digimon.

Ryouma was definitely going to sit this one out, although he had witnessed something incredible just by sticking around on the sidelines so he certainly wasn't at all disappointed.

"Heat Viper!" Chimeramon prepared to exhale an enormous blast of green fire onto Hellsingmon, but was disrupted before he could get it out by a sudden blow to the back of the head involving a massive heart-shaped energy field surrounding Venus Ballistamon's golden fist.

"LOVE YOU Bunker!" Venus Ballistamon announced once the assault had been completed. The hellish green fire that escaped from Chimeramon's jaws was redirected harmlessly into the ground.

"The atmosphere is way too tense around here," Zenjirou commented once Venus Ballistamon had handled Chimeramon. "You guys really need to just chill out."

"I couldn't agree more," Venus Ballistamon spoke in a strange combination of Venusmon and Ballistamon's voices. "Plasma Therapy!" The large tusk on the back of Venus Ballistamon's golden armor generated a radiant, pink-colored electric field to flood the surrounding area with feelings of happiness and peaceful intentions that no one, human or digimon, could possibly resist. Naturally, the emotional transference was only a temporary solution, but it would at least last long enough for Zenjirou to get away with Venusmon so they wouldn't have to witness any further violence.

In the aftermath, Arresterdramon reverted back to Gumdramon and returned to Tagiru's Xros Loader no longer interested in picking a fight with Blaze and Sealsdramon for the moment. Astamon and Chimeramon similarly returned to their respective partner's Xros Loaders.

"Oh well, it was getting boring anyway," Ren muttered to himself as he went on his way, not really recalling why he had been so eager to fight in the first place.

Ryouma slipped off quietly without a word to anyone.

"Oh man, I'm starving," Tagiru had managed to work up quite an appetite with all that fighting and running around in Digi Quartz. Perhaps Blaze would find it easier to negotiate with him about those reservations to Digitamamon's restaurant now that Tagiru had become aware of just how hungry he was.

*~*~*~*~*

Meanwhile, back in the human world, Crystal and Taiki were still deciding what they ought to do next.

"We should probably grab a bite to eat so you don't get burned out," Crystal had suggested almost immediately. "I mean, from what I understand, using Double Xros is really exhausting for you, right?"

"It depends," Taiki answered with a shrug. "Right now I feel fine." Of course, that could have been because he wasn't presently working himself ragged by practicing for some upcoming sporting event he had been asked to help out with recently either. "But you know, we can still eat if you're hungry."

"Maybe just a little," Crystal responded with a slight blush.

"Anyone would be after running up a building at that speed," Zapmon remarked from inside of Crystal's Xros Loader.

"Shh!" Crystal quickly shushed her partner. "We're back in the human world now so you've got to keep quiet while you're in there."

"Sorry," Zapmon apologized loudly. She was obviously trying to draw attention to them both on purpose.

"Wait," Crystal sniffed suddenly. "Hold that thought." She sniffed again. A familiar aroma wafted through the air, although only she could smell it as the scent wasn't actually a product of the material plane. "Talk about perfect timing!" she grabbed Taiki by the arm and started leading him out into the middle of a nearby intersection. "Come on, this way we can enjoy a quick bite while we'll also be dropping completely off the radar."

Taiki blushed at first, but he quickly realized that Crystal wasn't really being forward once they stepped out into the intersection and the surrounding area suddenly became tinted dark purple as a dense fog started to roll all around them. In fact, the only distinctive object amidst this otherwise monotonous scenery was what appeared at first glance to be a perfectly ordinary noodle cart. It ceased seeming ordinary when Crystal guided him inside and they were greeted by the Kitsune shopkeeper.

"You're not... a digimon, are you?" Taiki stared dumbly at the humanoid fox.

"Not at all," the Kitsune assured him. "I'm just a regular Kitsune."

"Okay then," Taiki could live with that. He turned to Crystal. "Mind telling me where we are?"

"Exactly where we were," Crystal explained. "Except that we're now in the world of spirits that exists side by side with our everyday reality. The others won't be able to follow us here, except maybe Shiro and Roveth, who also have a significant amount of spiritual power, although the wards might make entry difficult for Roveth."

"But then how did I get here?" Taiki was baffled because he didn't have any measurable amount of spiritual power that he was aware of.

"You're here because I brought you here," Crystal answered automatically. "It's really as simple as that. Oh, and the digimon are more than welcome to eat here since they're well regarded among nature spirits. And I know Shoutmon isn't going to want to miss out on the Kitsune Oden."

"It's probably the only food better than pizza," Zapmon chimed in.

*~*~*~*~*

Yuu and Akari watched as Crystal and Taiki seemed to vanish once they reached the intersection.

"Do you think they might have gone back into Digi Quartz to throw us off their trail?" Akari suggested.

"I guess it might be possible," Yuu wasn't convinced that was the case though. He hadn't seen either of them open up a path into Digi Quartz. He still held up his Xros Loader though. "Let's find out. Time Shift!"

However, when they emerged in Digi Quartz, there was still no sign of Taiki or Crystal.

It was kinda hard to think. Blaze wasn't even sure why he was here anymore. Then Tagiru said something about being hungry, and it just clicked. "Oh yeah! Tagiru, I know this great place that just opened up. My treat!"

A growling could be heard from Blaze's Xros Loader, and then Omekamon emerged, just finishing drawing sleepy eyes and a drooling mouth.

"You'd do that for me? Thanks, you're a great guy Blaze!" shouted Tagiru as he clapped Blaze on the back. Then, showing a willpower that defies logic, Tagiru—all fired up about eating—grabbed Blaze's hand and dashed off, shouting, "Come on Gumdramon, keep up!"

Hellsingmon was more than ready to shoot down the attacks himself, but once things got cancelled out, and Plasma Therapy went into play, the No Life King just blinked, and shrugged lightly, he saw no reason to continue if the other's didn't, and just started wavering, before splitting back into Roveth and Sangloupmon, lightly the boy yawned as he looked about to the people leaving, and idly looked to Dracmon who had just disappeared into his Xros Loader, before simply turning and walking off a bit, before jumping as he formed a pair of shades from tracing energies, and landed on the suddenly barreling by Behemoth (it missed people though.) and simply rode off in quiet somber, thinking of probably hitting the Ogremon's Digi-men place and all, given he was a bit hungry himself.

Centralized break, Scene Change hatsudo!

Shiro had idly landed on a nearby roof near where the other two had disappeared to, frowning a bit when he saw no sign of them ~now where could they have...?~ he thought, before thinking a bit to himself, though the smell hit his senses, he was diverted in thought as he sniffed the air a bit "huh.. kitsune..?" he mumbled, before looking in the direction towards where he was finding the smell, before heading off to it, more his own stomach was annoying him with slight rumbles, and at least could get a bite to eat.

Tagiru maintained an admirable pace up until the point that he finally realized he had absolutely no idea where the restaurant Blaze had tipped him off about was located and finally skidded to a stop. Fortunately, he hadn't been careless enough to accidentally leave Blaze behind when he'd run off like that so there was still a chance to set things right.

"Maybe I should let you lead the way," Tagiru turned to Blaze with a slight sweatdrop.

*~*~*~*~*

Zenjirou started to relax once he had traveled a safe distance from where all of the fighting had been about to take place before Venusmon's little intervention had disrupted, or at least delayed, the inevitable. He was still a little surprised that after Ren and Tagiru had both declared their desire to obtain Venusmon for themselves, or at least prevent the other from being able to obtain her, Venusmon had ultimately joined up with him instead. He hadn't given any thought to hunting her himself because it seemed entirely unnecessary. However, now that she had aligned herself with him, Zenjirou still wasn't off the hook.

"I still want to see the rest of the adorable humans I met in the digital world," Venusmon reminded him. "Although..." she kind of trailed off with a knowing smile that was displayed on the screen of Zenjirou's Xros Loader. "I think we should probably wait until later to meet up with Taiki and Crystal because we wouldn't want to disturb them on their first date, now would we?"

Zenjirou didn't stop to question how Venusmon could have possibly known that the two of them were on a date. In his experience, Venusmon just had an innate knowledge of such things.

"It shouldn't be too hard to find Akari-chan since she's still somewhere here in Tokyo, but Nene-chan is far away in Hong Kong and Kiriha will be almost impossible to find unless he's there with her," Zenjirou listed off the rest of the people he assumed Venusmon wanted to track down.

"Then I guess we'd better hitch a ride on a Trailmon if we want to make good time," Venusmon suggested.

"Sure," Zenjirou agreed. "Why not?" It was as good a reason as any to go pay a visit to Nene at any rate.

*~*~*~*~*

Yuu and Akari were just about to head back to the human world when Airu suddenly blocked their path.

"Hold it," she held up her Xros Loader menacingly. "Where exactly do you think you're going?"

Yuu sighed and shook his head. "You go on ahead," he said to Akari. "I'll handle this and try to catch up with you as soon as I can."

Akari nodded. "Time Shift!" And then she was gone.

Yuu returned his attention to Airu. "Now really isn't the best time for this."

"You know where to find Taiki-san and Crystal-san, don't you?" Airu quickly demanded.

"Well," Yuu chuckled nervously. "We were tailing them to make sure no one else would bother them, but we lost sight of them a moment ago so I have no idea where they are right now."

"Then you're going to help me look for them," Airu declared. "They owe me for stealing all those Pucchiemonz from me!"

A drop of sweat rolled down Yuu's cheek. "Is that really what this is all about?"

*~*~*~*~*

Naturally, it didn't take any real effort for Taiki to adjust to his new surroundings since he was accustomed to being suddenly transplanted into other worlds on a somewhat regular basis. The transition had caught him by surprise, but the Oden Cart was no more strange to him than being in the digital world or Digi Quartz. Well, the management was a little more polite, but that was about it. And, sure enough, the Kitsune Oden was a huge hit with the digimon as could be attested by the fact that Shoutmon was sitting on a stool next to Zapmon practically inhaling the stuff. And no wonder too, because it was really, really good.

"So how did you find out about this place anyway?" Taiki had to ask. Simply by being here, he had realized just how little he knew about Crystal's everyday life apart from what little she had mentioned about her origins and the time she spent with him in the digital world. He had known vaguely of her involvement with the world of spirits because of her dual nature as a hanyou, but he had never given it any real thought until he had just now been swept up in it for himself. Living in the traditionally unseen world must have been fascinating.

"Honestly, I just kind of bumped into the cart one day while I was wandering through the town and the smell suddenly hit me," Crystal admitted. "I didn't have any real cause to seek out such things in this era so it kind of took me by surprise."

"Thanks to her association with the digimon, she's become one of our best customers," noted the Kitsune owner of the cart. "Although, I must say, this is the first time she's brought along one of her human friends. It's a real pleasure because we don't get too many human customers. For the most part, you humans can't even see our shop."

"I see," Taiki couldn't help smiling and helped himself to another bowl of the delicious Kitsune Oden.

"And it looks like we have another customer," the Kitsune owner remarked when Shiro also entered the spiritual domain occupied by the Oden cart.

Shiro had naturally looked around the purple fog induced area, but he was used to such things, given as Crystal had mentioned, he -was- spiritually inclined, hell, he was part demon like Crystal, only less so.. or almsot as much, he never knew the difference anyway, to him, he was still Shiro, as he walked under the flaps and such, looking about, and immediately seeing Crystal and Taiki he sweatdropped ~jeez! i wasn't even trying to look for them!~ he thought, while smiling "yo." he said with a lazy wave while moving to a seat somewhere nearby so he could order some food, of course, with Guilmon popping out so he could have food too, despite the stern 'no pigging out'.

For a little while it seemed that Ren had forgotten the whole reason he had been wandering aimlessly through Digi Quartz all day when it suddenly hit him that he had been looking to hunt the green colored Pucchiemon and, after having failed at that, had set his sights on Venusmon. Somehow, he had failed to hunt Venusmon as well. And, in both instances, wasn't the one responsible for messing up his hunt that Roveth guy? Ren had no idea why he would have even considered letting that guy off the hook for a minute, but whatever it was that had brought on that sense of benevolence was gone now.

Of course, before he could pay him back, Ren would have to track Roveth down and that might take awhile. Especially with Roveth racing around on Behemoth.

*~*~*~*~*

"Hey Shiro," Crystal greeted him. He didn't look like he was there to spy on her and Taiki so she gave him the benefit of the doubt. Besides, it was hard to resist the scent of Kitsune Oden so she figured Shiro must have been led here by his nose the same way she had been.

"It looks like you had the same idea Crystal did," noted Taiki.

"Well, it's tough to pass up the Kitsune Oden cart when it's actually in the neighborhood," Zapmon explained.

"Speaking of which," Crystal turned to the owner. "I don't suppose you've dropped in on Watanuki recently so you might be able to tell us how he's doing, have you?"

"He remains well," the owner assured her. "I know my little one has been periodically sneaking some dishes to the shop in exchange for some of Watanuki's homemade snacks."

The young kitsune's tail bristled in alarm as he poked his head around the side of the Oden cart blushing in embarrassment at having been found out like that, not that he didn't expect it. Naturally, the only reason the young kitsune had shown himself was because he had sensed Shiro's arrival and couldn't contain his admiration for him.

"I should pay him a visit sometime," Crystal decided before helping herself to some more food.

Taiki couldn't help but notice how being in this environment, Crystal seemed much more confident than she would have been in a similarly sized crowd of humans. It was really more that she didn't seem to feel the need to mask what she was thinking or feeling. The atmosphere felt more relaxed too. He supposed that maybe, like with the digimon, Crystal must have felt more comfortable around spirits than she did around people. Of course, that just made him curious to know why she felt that way. After all, he actually liked it when she wasn't putting on that antisocial facade to avoid drawing attention to herself. It wasn't very convincing to begin with and only seemed to stress her out. Right now, while she was only being herself, she seemed a whole lot cuter.

Cue blushing.

Zapmon caught sight of it and grinned knowingly. Now we're getting somewhere!

Shiro had managed to chuckle a bit when he saw the blushing and all, but he mentioned nothing on it while deciding to speak up as he smiled "eh, i was actually taking a break from hunting after i saw your work with the Pucchiemonz catching, and as i walked out of the Time Shift portal i caught a whiff of the food and well.. here i am." he said, rubbing the back of his head, most of it was true enough thankfully, he -was- hunting digimon in general until Sangloupmon roped him into keeping an eye on the loverly couple. granted, Shiro did notice the smaller Kitsune that had adoration for him, though he flopped one ear to the side curiously ~huh.. first time i've had someone look up to me.~ he thought to himself while ordering his and Guilmon's food.

Said Guilmon was currently waiting happily while waving his tail as he smiled "this place is pretty cool, being hidden like it is!"

Gabumon spoke up from the Xros Loader, obviously eye-rolling if the sarcasm wasn't dripping freely as it was "it's run by Kitsune, SPIRIT FOXES for a reason Guilmon, and i doubt that reason is because they have cute fluffy tails and ears."

Shiro just sweatdropped as he pulled out his Xros Loader, and dropped in a regenerating can of Digi-Noir inside "would you stop with the sarcasm, Gabumon?"

much chuckles were going on in the Xros Loader, mainly from the spirits and Tactimon, given they knew how exasperated Shiro could get with his Digimon bickering in their own ways.

Roveth just yawned as he drove along, idly adjusting his shades while coming to a slow down at the Ogremon's Digi-men place, though he did frown as he stopped on his bike, he had remembered that he had to punt blaze for the stupidity he did with Tankmon, but he wasn't really pissed off at him, so he'll probably tone it down to a few pranks he could think of as he sat there rubbing his chin, before shrugging, and getting up off the bike and heading inside to get a bowl for himself and Dracmon.

"Actually, this place isn't really hidden at all," Crystal pointed out. "In fact, anyone can enter so long as they're willing to see and acknowledge the world of spirits, but most people nowadays aren't attuned to it so they're blinded by their own ignorance and so places like this tend to go completely unnoticed."

"It seems to be the same way with Digi Quartz," noted Zapmon. "Even most of the people who have been kidnapped by the digimon tend to forget all about the experience once they've been set free. Similarly, any investigation into the recent disappearances tends to be called off the instant the victims are returned safely."

"Most humans tend to overlook what they cannot comprehend," the owner of the Kitsune Oden cart offered by way of explanation. "And even those who do sometimes glimpse into this other world will most likely brush it off as some sort of delusion."

"That's too bad," Taiki spoke up. "They're missing out."

"That's true," Crystal gave him a thoughtful smile as she leaned back on her stool. "I can't really blame them, though. After all, there was a time when even I still felt that way, not that it was easy for me to ignore. Actually, my first response to waking up in the digital world was to think I must have still been dreaming."

"At least you weren't screaming," noted Zapmon. "That's the more typical response to meeting a digimon for the first time."

Crystal snorted. "You were still Psycmon at the time. You couldn't have scared me if you tried."

It took some searching, but there was definitely no mistaking that motorcycle just outside the Ogremon's Digi-men shop. Ren immediately recognized it as Behemoth and that meant Roveth was probably there inside the restaurant. As such, he decided to wait outside to plot an ambush once Roveth decided to leave.

Gabumon of course spoke up from the Xros Loader at the current Topic "Shiro actually pinched himself before fainting when he and i first met." he said, chuckling lightly, and earning giggles/chuckles from within the Xros Loader.

Shiro of course went mildly red in embarrassment "Gabumon! did you have to say that!?!" of course this led to even mroe chuckles, and a sighing Shiro, before putting his head down on the table while his ears flopped there too "just my luck..." he mumbled.

Guilmon was hapilly chowing down on food, so he paid it no mind given he was hungry, and the food was -very- good indeed.

Roveth of course was eating with Dracmon with their customary two bowls of Ramen a piece, also commenting that the ramen was quite good and that the Ogremon's have done well in making such good noodles and broth. Dracmon of course looked outside as if pondering, before looking to Roveth "ne, Aniki... do you think that ren guy might come after us for that whole mess in stealing his captures?"

Roveth looked to his partner before smirking "i wouldn't be surprised if he's lyign in wait to ambush us outside the restraunt by now." he said, continuing to calmly eat while closing an eye lightly" ahh.. good stuff.." he then finished off the bowl as did Dracmon, and the two of them headed outside, but not before Roveth pulled out a pair of sunglasses to adorn his usual look.
