Chapter 1
The Boy with Fire Skin two days after shes been dispatched Elly finally reached the rendevouz point of where she will meet up with her first party member. it was a hot muggy day, with the sounds of insects buzzing by her or even mosquitos every now and then.

Elly was sweating like crazy as she was nearing the rendezvous point swatting away the bugs. "Ugh it's so hot out here." she said with a sigh as she used her water magic to cool herself down. "It looks like I'm hear this town out in the middle of the boondocks too, it's about time too."

there was a sign that pointed intot he forest that said To Manaryll forest and Talu village Enter at your own risk then right next to it was a sign that said To the mage from Loren city, please remain here if I haven't arrived yet,

Elly looked at the note, "Enter at your own risk? Are they afraid of scaring people off with how far in the middle of nowhere this town is?" Looks at the signature on the note, "Hmmmm Berner..." suddenly her image of the warrior with a pitchfork and a torch in a wheelchair appeared in her mind again as she shuttered from the though.

just then from int he forest was a giant behemoth's roar that shook the ground and blew the leaves on the trees.. it sounded nearby as well

Elly sighs, "That sounds reassuring." She then flicks her wrists and fireballs appear in her hands. "Well time to test my magic out on this creature."

jsut then a boy pops out "jeez never though I get to grab a snack before I go... Mm?" he looked at Elly and blinked "Hey there traveler

The fireballs go away on Elly's hands. "I take it you aren't what made that roar. I'm Elizabeth Marille, most people just call me Elly though. And you are?"

it then looked like he just recieved an epiphany "Oh! right! Your the wizard girl I'm suppose to join with, my names Berner " he gave a grin and a thumbs up. physically appearances seemed to betray Elly's assumptions... if anything he kinda looks like a good looking guy you'd see formt he city, and he didn't have a country accent to his voice. the only that credited him as a bumpkin was the nadic traveling clothes he wore. she could see two swords on both sides of his waist as well as gun each sword sheathe.. liek they were custom made for his weapons of choice

"You don't... really match my image of what I thought you'd look like, I guess that isn't a bad thing really. I hope the letter your town received at least told you what kind of mission I'm going on. I'd hate to have to waste time and tell you... and more importantly delay my mission... " she then said under her breath, " and my three million gold reward."

Berner walked out dragging behind a large heavy piece of meat that was 5 times his sizes then lifted it over his shoulder and casually walked up to her then right when he was right infront of her looking like we was going to get serious.... "I forgot what it was" he gave a goofy nervous grin "it had sumthin to do with crsytals or sumtihn and purple ocean or sumtihn like that"

Elly sighed heavily, "I won't get into details, but... I need to figure out what is causing the instability of the sacred mana crystals, and investigate this band of raiders called the Black Ocean." She looked at Berner kind of annoyed.

he smiled as he blasted the meat with fire and started chowing down on it "mm sounds like fun, I like mystery solving. I'm in!" as he ate bugs seem to be buzzing around and landing on Elly, but when she caught a glimpse of Berner, she saw sudden tiny spontaneous flames appearing on his body and dissappearing. there was nothign like this in any book of fire magic this much she was sure, on closer inspection she noticed the weirdest strangest thing she ever saw, the bugs that landed on him bursted into flames and disintegration... come to think of it, its no wonder he wasn't swatting flies or anything.

Elly stared at Berner shocked, "Ummm may I ask you a question? I know you use fire and everything... but... why do those bugs just burst into flames. I've never seen anything like that in my long time at school." She started to observe the situation with his skin.

he stopped eating and looked at her "hm?"... he looked down and swallowed his food "I dunno..... always been like that... anything that would annoy me that touch me would catch on fire..." he said so casually like its in everyday life as he finished his food and chucked the giant bone into the forest "Alright! that snack should hold me for abit" he smiled at her.
