Ohhhh! What delightful reactions! Candace's heart raced with excitement. This was it. What she'd been preparing for. This was it. She couldn't fail now. She was already breaking so many rules on the requirements of taking in a weapon candidate. But Caelius had kidnapped six students against their will! What was one more? She'd get her to cooperate.

"If you don't mind my asking, who's going to help you?" Candace asked in the voice she had used when speaking to Mitsu as 'Kane'. "My friends! Shun," She pointed at Shun, a sweet smile on her lips. "Hel!" She then pointed to Hel, smirking a moment before finally turning to Mot. "And Mo--oh." Candace's eyes widened and her smile fell, though she didn't look scared, she looked curious.

What was he pointing at her. It was a gun.

...A small gun compared to what she was used to. "Is this...is this a gun?" Candace blinked, stepping closer to trace a finger along the barrel. "Cute. It's so little." She chuckled, stepping even closer with a sardonic smile, a hand grasping the gun tightly. "I think you should be less concerned about me and pay more attention to what's around you." Lavender eyes turned up toward the ceiling where she saw the glow of Jerry's torch. Perfect.

Candace stepped away from Mot, not wanting to get caught in the impending blast from Jerry. "Awww, Mitsu! Don't beat yourself up! It was very noble of you to want to help someone you thought was in need. I admire that in you." The chain jingled as she stepped down from the throne's platform.

As though just waiting for the queue, there suddenly came a flicker of green light from the rafters before a loud, ear-splitting bark ripped through the room. Jerry aimed to just knock the pistol-packing reaper back away from Candace as well as lay a warning.

His brain felt fuzzy, but he knew where he was, what he was doing. It wasn't dissociation, and yet here in battle, practically shooting the creatures like fish in a barrel, he felt in control, at peace. This was something he could do right.

Well this was just great. Shun gripped onto his daggers more tightly as Candace flaunted about and taunted them.

"Now is not the time Mitsu. But we are going to need to have a talk after this," he murmured lowly. Hadn't they been warned against this so many times? He loved her, but she really was too trusting unfortunately. He was going to need to try and do something of that once they were done with this mess.

The Reaper watched where she looked around, and noticed a faint glow somewhere in the ceiling. Still, he wasn't sure if that was it. Perhaps they needed to take the initiative here.

Glancing from Hel to Mot, he looked back at the Hunter that had exposed herself. Could they take her out before whatever team she had make their move?

"Kill her." he ordered before rushing at the hunter. As he moved in close, he slashed out twice, one blade aiming for her thigh while the other right for the throat.

Hel was watching her raven, fingers tightening on her weapon as it circled and circled and finally landed. Bingo. Her nostrils flared as that sickeningly familiar white coat appeared and decided to mock her on top of it. ********. It was a set up.

“Chin up, Mitsu.” The reaper uttered lowly. “We have business to take care of now. Lamenting can come later.” Hel’s lips pulled back into a sneer as Candace started to address them by name and even stepped dangerously close to Mot. She snarled again. “Mot get over here.”

As Shun made the order though, the reaper was on it. “With pleasure.” Hel lunged at the female Hunter, and swiped her spear at her, clipping her. It was good to say she was suddenly distracted by the blast that had struck Mot, turning her head towards the grim. "Mot!"

There it was! Jerry's shot! Candace ducked out of the way of it, but unfortunately it left her open for Shun to go straight at her. She bit back a cry of pain as he slashed at her thigh, quickly checking downt o make sure he hadn't hit her artery or anything like that. Good, it was somewhat superficial. She wasn't going to bleed to death in a matter of seconds. "Kill me?" She laughed, raising an arm to stop the dagger blade from hitting her throat. "Ah ah ah~." Candace scolded him, hopping back on her good leg. Her rings glowed, summoning Atropos. She was different from how Shun and Mitsu would remember her; the boot was no longer at just her ankle, it went over her knees. It covered all the vital areas except for her thighs, and the knees had a third blade addition. She had gotten a power upgrade with her promotion.

She raised her knee, about to strike Shun's side with the blade there until Hel came by and knocked her away. She grazed him, cursing under her breath. "What a protective little bird you are." She hissed, eyes turning to Hel and narrowing. "Oh, wait. Birds have wings."

Suddenly, Candace was mobbed and Jerry never took his eyes off of Roar's cross-spines. There, that had to be Shun. He had seen the eye-patched reaper before, always serious, deceptively dangerous. His aim twitched over, readjusted. He was Candace's cover, no one would get close if he could help it.

The blast ripped through the air again, yellow at the center from the added heat of the torch in the bazooka's mouth.

The reaper sneered at Candace’s retort, and had one of her own. She spat right at the Hunter. “Birds are fragile little creatures that break and bend—“ She retorted, “I am ******** iron maiden.” A torture device, very fitting, she thought.

That blast came and struck Shun though, and still furious from when it had got Mot, the reaper immediately whirled around, eyeing the rafters for their ‘sniper’. She caught sight of energy wisps from something up above, in addition to what could have been ruins, and the ghoul let out a battle cry as she raised her weapon in one hand and primed her stance as she pulled her arm back. “Come down here and fight me face to face you Jacking coward!” She screamed, and threw her spear at the hunter.

As Candace prevented his dagger from reaching her throat, he stared hard at her, glancing down for just a moment to see the blood running down her thigh. It didn't take long to see her bring her weapon out, which was a bit different from what it had been before. With Hel's help, he managed to shift back to prevent getting hit too hard with the blade on her knee.

Though she laughed and taunted, he had nothing to say to her. Not right now. As far as he was concerned, it was a waste of his breath to be really talking to her.

Hissing as the one up top took a shot at him. With a grunt, he staggered to the side and watched as Hel went to shift gears. While the Valkyrie went after the bazooka man, he kept his focus on Candace. She was the one behind this after all, was she not? With a hard stare, he went after her once again, aiming a slash for her mid section before jumping back, prepared to move out of the way quickly. He was watching her carefully, as well as listening for anything that might be coming his way from elsewhere.

Jerry was about to make another shot at the ninja-like Reaper when he dimly heard a voice. Before he could process the words, there was movement out of the corner of his eye as the spear sent him flying as it slammed through his shoulder.

He thanked Roar's fear shield in a frantic buzz of internal prayer, his long lanky legs scrambling over the side of the rafter. The speared shoulder screamed as he clung on, and he willed his brain to remember fear shield and he hefted the Bazooka up with his free-swinging hand, pulling the trigger with a yelp.

The force of the blast sent him swinging back up again, landing on his back on the beam with a groan. Get the spear out, then figure out his next shot and- wait. Jerry wasn't the only one groaning as the soft wood under him creaked menacingly.

Shun's words struck her hard, Mitsu's ears wilting at the sides of her head. Yes, she supposed she deserved a talking to after this. Foolish didn't even begin to describe. He had just been so nice and he had even played ball with her. How could someone like that be a Hunter? And...and what had he done with Meela? That question brought on a new sickening fear that she tried to swallow. She didn't want to think about it.

At least Hel's words got through to her if Shun's command didn't. They didn't have time for her to stand there and sulk. And then there was Candace, her words so sweetly commending her for being kind. When Mitsu finally drew her hands away from her face her eyes were hard with anger staring Candace down with every bit of fury her tiny body could muster into a stare. "Y..you." Her voice dripped with anger that she normally didn't have. While yes, she had messed up and messed up big she wasn't about to let this Hunter win.

The battle had started before Mitsu even realized, a blaze of fire shooting off near Mot and Candace. That was all it took for there to be a blur of motion. Shun had taken action and Candace wasn't far behind. Mitsu couldn't let her friends be attacked, not for something she had done. She wanted to muster her FEAR to defend her friends but the possibility that it would fail held her back. She had never tried anything like it before. Instead she moved out into the fray hoping to give them a different target.

At Hel's declaration that she was an iron maiden Candace smiled sweetly. "Ah, but are you truly a maiden, sweetheart?" Her eyes darted toward Mot as she said this. Candace didn't know their situation but she would damn well say just about anything to rile her up, it was just a matter of figuring out what 'crazy b***h ex-girlfriend's' trigger was.

You are awful. Atropos chuckled. Candace simply grinned.

Candace was about to go after Shun again until she heard the threatening groans from up above. Was the roof collapsing?! She stopped, eyes wide and turned up toward the ceiling. No. It was still up...for now. "Be careful!" She called out to Jerry, frowning. They were going to get attacked but she'd rather they not get hurt by the room if it could be helped.

Candace gasped and jumped back when she felt a blade connect with her side, a hand pressing against the bleeding wound. "My new coat. You b*****d." She whined, lips pouting as if her coat really was her biggest concern here. She reached down and opened a pouch strapped to her thigh, taking out a pair of runic gloves. They simply protected her hands and joins better, nothing more. She was quick to put them on, eyes narrowing at Shun. "You're lucky I have spare coats." She ran toward him then, sidestepping around him and turning on the ball of her foot while lifting her other leg. She aimed a kick right at the back of Shun's thighs, managing to hit him but--the hell? Did he predict her move or something?!

Two hunters have revealed themselves! But are they alone? Is it really only two hunters against four third year students?

This Haunted House battle will be working slightly differently from the typical Haunted House PVP.
- This battle is a 4vs4 battle! Four Students, four Hunters! There is also no need to roll for initiative! Usual PVP rules apply, let your target react to you before targeting them again, but you may target someone else in the meantime.
- Runic Weapons and Learned Abilities are okay!
- There will be 12 hour rounds. Meaning every 12 hours Inu-Mitsu or Eight will be posting a progression post to keep things moving along!
- When the battle begins, you get two attacks per round! However, no one's HP may go under 0! Once a player hits 0hp they may no longer roll nor can they be attacked! No dissipation, no killing. You can still post, just no dice rolling.
- Hunters: Once Mitsu's HP reaches 10 or below please target someone else!
- Please quote your target!

From the back corner, a dark shadowed space behind the massive rubble pile, came a brief flare of light.

As much as Bix wanted to stick Hel in the a** with a few arrows, strategy prevailed: Take them down as quickly as possible. Shun was the killer, Shun was the boyfriend. Shun seemed to be one of the most formidable and was also targetting Candace.

Bix fired a a few arrows from his shadowy corner, the red energy ammo flaring with extra fire damage from his torch. He ran, attempting to be as quick on his feet as he could, for the next shadowy corner.

Candace was curious how her Suns got these really lame torches.

Mot tried his best to hide his anger, hide the fact Candace's jab at the size of his weapon may have insulted him. Griping would only feed her sick game, even if this gun was bigger than his last 3.

Suddenly a shot from the ceiling had Mot staggering backward into the thrones. A lot went on as he tried to gather his senses again. The others had Candace, Mot needed to use his advantage as a long ranger to get anyone no one else could reach.

He saw many lights go off. Were there more out there?

Mot cursed and lifted his aim to the roof. He cocked back the fore-end pump and fired a shot at the semi hidden Bazooka wielder.
