Half drug by the female, he followed her till they reached the lake's bank. Setting his basket of cloth down on dry land, he scanned about for a relatively smooth stone. There in a sandy patch, he found one. Stooping over, he set the little companion he'd had hidden amongst his hair on the basket before stepping closer to the water. Drawing back his arm, he launched the stone sending it flinging to the water. As it caught the surface, it skipped a good five times before sinking beneath the surface.

Violet blinked as the lake stood before them. When Pavos skipped the rock, she was impressed, but she felt she could do better. "Yous up for a lil' freindly, uh, you know? Contest?" She want over to the edge of the forest and returned with a small collection of skippping rocks, her own stache. She picked on up and tossed it in her hand a little bit. Then, with a small flick of the wrist, she sent it halfway down the large lake. It glided smoothly, hopping across, then sank. She grunted with satisfaction.

Pavos chuckled lightly. "A contest hmm? What's the wager then?" He wasn't about to say yes or no to anything till he knew the stakes. if it was indeed friendly the steaks wouldn't be too harsh.
He found another stone and flicked it skipping it six times as he waited to hear the steaks. "Mind you my cloth won't be bet upon." He stated just to make sure they didn't become ransomed.

Violet thought this over. "Depends. Whatcha got?" She chuckled. "Yous win, I get to be dunked in da' water. You's get da special honor of that. If I win, you getta pick your poison," she grunted and skipped another rock, which bounced eight times across, then gracefully sank.

Pavos tried not to show the look of shock at the choice of word used, failing. Shaking his head, he looked at the water. "I think a dunk would suit us both... Even Steven." He said with a nervous chuckle and nod.

He caught the rock and drawing back his arm, he eyed the water's surface, rolling the rock in his fingers. Satisfied with what he'd seen, he let loose his arm the rock bouncing about ten times before sinking beneath the surface. "Wow... I don't think I've ever skipped it that many times." His voice held amazement as he spoke, watching the water a little longer.

She eyed him approvingly, "Oka', so how do wes determine who win's, and when?" She tossed another rock across the lake, letting it skip about evenly with his, and watching it fall.

"I don't know... maybe when one of us fails to out do or match the other?" He'd never really been competitive in that way, but looking at the water he wasn't sure he wanted to be the one put in the drink either.

Picking up another rock, he lobbed it out, skipping it the same amount of times as he had before. The thing then sank into the water. "This might take us a while." He stated with a small chuckle.

She grabbed one and flicked it, then it skipped about twelve times. She threw her arms up, "Wooh! Top that!" She laughed.

His brow furrowed some. How was he going to top that toss? Sucking in a slow breath and letting it out, he picked up another stone and rotated it in his paw a few times as he stalked the bank some. Finally he let loose his arm and rock. The rock skimmed the top of the water, skipping thirteen times before sinking.
He stood there stunned, just watching the water in shock. "I don't think I could do that again in a million years..." He said in amazement.

She rubs her temples with her eyes closed an breathes deeply. Frustrated at the great throw, she picks up what she thinks to be a slightly perfect rock and throw it up catching it in her other hand. "That was a good throw, yes?" She chuckles at her self and eyes her rock carefully. She stands as if she were going to pitch a baseball but instead she pulls her arm forward and flicks it, sending the rock on a skipping flurry of splashes and clicks. She covers her eyes as her brows furrow, and she looks at the sinking rock. "Did yous see how far it went? I's can't tell. There was too much waters." She kicks the dirt in frustration. "Ugh!" she yells.
