The Book of Prophecies Chapter One (Accepting/Open)

"I'm Jace." He introduced happily and turned back to the direction he was walking. "Well, we better keep moving, don't want the people trying to hire us dying of old age now do we?" He said and started walking again.

Raphaella snickered. "'Course. Wouldn't want that, now, would we?"

A little longer and the two reached another couple, a woman who seemed like she was a mage of sorts and a man who seemed like he was the kind of guy to whisper sweet nothings while he stabbed you in the back. "Let me guess, summons from old people?" Jace asked when he spotted the two.

"I'm not drunk enough for this...", Vivian grumbles to herself, already being able to tell the man is a flirt. She looks back at the man speaking, "Unfortunately, and the old geezers still haven't come out to explain what they...", she trails off as she catches sight of the bear. "Either I'm drunker than I thought, or there's a bear following that girl."

Rodon conceded his flirted when the mage like woman addressed the two new adventures, a young girl being followed by a bear, and a young man who appeared to be a swordsman of some kind. "Apparently the old ones were really in a tizzy. So much so, that they would hire anyone." The rogue then lifted his hood slightly to make sure that what he was seeing was actually true. "And what the bloody hell are you doing with a bear following you, young lady?" Rodon asked crassly, a little frightened by the fact that fully grown bear was following a young girl! All that aside, the rogue had the peculiar feeling that no more unexpected adventures would be showing up. Whoever everyone was, they seemed to follow a certain type of role. Rodon himself, was a rogue was with sneaking skills; the swordsman was probably a fighter of some kind, trained in the arts of fighting; the woman reeked of alcohol was a mage who could control the elements; and finally, the girl with the bear must have something of a druid. "What a lovely motley crew the old farts have assembled." Rodon turned to face the empty cave. "Now all they need to do is show up."

Raphaella could see that the two people they'd just come upon were frightened by her companion and laughed merrily. "Oh, don't worry about Dov. He won't hurt you unless he feels you're threatening me. Isn't that right, brother?" she added, both in human words and the ursine language, patting the bear's side. "Yeah, where are these so-called 'wise men'?" she asked, looking around.

The mage eyes the bear warily, "If you say so..." She turns her attention on the giant door that the Wise Men were supposedly behind. "Should we knock?"

Drawing closer to the door, Rodon, inspected the hinges. "The hinges on the outside. Must be so they can escape easier." He muttered before grasping the handles. "Knocking is for when you want someone to know." Rodon said with a smirk before pulling on the handles of the big iron doors. "Time to meet the old ones."

"It's also for people with manners.", a voice booms through the cave as a blast of energy knocks Rodon away from the door.

Raphaella covered her mouth with a hand to hide a snicker. "Smooth move, slick," she muttered amusedly.

Rodon was sent flying by the massive force of unknown energy. The rogue was able to gracefully recover, but at the same time, felt embarrassed for even getting hit. It was unfair. How was he suppose to avoid something he couldn't see coming. "Cheeky old bastards."

Whoever was speaking just laughs at the rogue before cutting himself off with a yelp. "Oi, why'd ya hit me!"

"Just open the damn door already so we can tell them what to do.", a new voice grumbles.

Alright, alright..."

The door slides open and two old men step out. One is tall, wearing blue robes and has a bit of a Dumbledore look to him, and the other is a short dwarfish looking man with graying red hair.
