Zenskar was really starting to hate the sight of gathered Valkyrie priestesses. This was going to be the third time he'd let them beat on him, and he was starting to fear that he wasn't going to make it - that Synthia didn't want him and Sybil to be mates.

Sadly, the third time was not the charm. However, upon the fourth try, Synthia saw their determination to be enough to give her blessing, and the couple prevailed against the gathering of priestesses. The first male and valk mated couple within the tribe existed. Sybil received some teases from her fellow priestesses for having to go through four attempts to win, but was otherwise treated the same as before. Zenskar was now treated as a blessed male, someone who had Synthia's approval, and thus was put above the males who had not been -- but was still a male. Life moved on.
