"Just watch", he said smugly to his guardian, planning his plan of attack. Of course, compulsion to do it always came before choosiness. After all, it had nearly been two days since last he had his fill. In the palace, it was no problem as most ladies would even throw themselves at his feet. And there was a not-too-bad-looking young girl in the vicinity though he did not really see her face due to his being a little far away. "Whoa whoa whoa. Don't touch her. She's with me", Veo said, stepping towards the armed group with his hands held up although his face was hidden by the shade of his hood.

"And who are you supposed to be?", one of the patrol called out.

"Demon prince. Veo Volente", he said simply as the others lit up with shock. Before any of them had moved though, he had already taken the head of patrol's sword and killed everyone in one fell swoop before they could call out the others at the nearby encampment. Veo dropped the sword, muttering, "Useless piece of junk". It was not at all to his taste. The blade was blunt and the hilt, plain. He got a lick of blood that was on his thumb but spat it out immediately. The blood of human soldiers -- almost always tainted with alcohol. He shook his head and focused his attention towards the girl, hoping to play hero for a bit and have a little fun. "And who might you be?", he asked, not recognizing her at first, looking over her features. He probably would soon though since he had memorized each line and curve of that beautiful face, drawn from that single memory he had of her. But for the purposes of keeping this conversation going, he did not... yet.

Akalia/Amelia watched as a hooded figure came to her rescue and after a moment the patrol was split open and laying on the ground. She recoiled at the disgust of the bodies below her. He didn't even seem to try. Then she realized what he had said... "Did you say you were the demon prince? Veo Volente?" She asked trying to sound incompetent. But she didn't want to be recognized, even by a precocious spoiled brat as what she had heard the prince was.

She tilted her head in a type of bow so as to show her 'respect' as a commoner. Which is what she was trying to seem. "What have I done to earn such a privilege so as to be rescued by such a skilled prince?" She asked her head still bowed.

Veo lifted his hood and caught her in a tantalizing gaze. His slightly disheveled ebony hair swayed in the wind and his icy blue eyes shone brighter as a self-confident smirk graced his lips. He walked over towards Akalia and placed a hand on her cheek. "Worry not. You can show your gratitude by sleeping with me", he said teasingly. That was when he got a good look at her, pulling his hand away from her face. "You", he said simply, his eyes twinkling. Is this the 'prize'? Who knew she'd be this easy to find. "Lucrecia", he nodded to his guardian, implying to keep watch in case the girl tried to run away. He returned his gaze towards the girl, holding her by the wrist to make sure she did not suddenly run away.

Akalia blushed slightly when he touched her cheek. She wasn't used to such... intimacy. At his suggestion her blush deepened. Narrowing her eyes very slightly, she looked up at the charming smile. Worst mistake ever. She could tell that he recognized her by the you. He also had ahold of her wrist. Her eyes seemed to narrow as she glared at him. She tried to just pull her hand away. But that failed.

"Since it would seem that you know who I am, I suggest you let me go." She said quietly still glaring. She let her cloak move slightly and her wings made an appearance. They were white like fresh snow. She was warning him. Her wings were hidden by the cloak so it would be difficult for her to use them

Lucrecia flashed Veo a smile at his signal, a subtle indication in response that his unspoken order was clearly understood. She began to subtly focus more and more of her magic into her hands, ready to conjur up barriers or whatever else that might be necessary to help Veo achieve his goal. She looked just as relaxed and disinterested as ever, but it was all merely an act. The less prepared she looked, the more caught off guard her 'prey' would be when she decided to attack - or do whatever else she decided to do at that given time. The only time that she gave any indication that she cared what happened either way was when she said to the girl, "He just saved your hide, sweetheart. You're not in a position to 'suggest' anything, let alone make threats." Lucrecia privately wondered to herself about the quality of this girl's raising since she was being so clearly rude as to threaten anyone who would kill on her behalf - especially when that person was Veo himself. Then again, most of the people Lucrecia knew were pretty rude too - so it wasn't like she could fault her all that much for it.

"Whoa. Not so fast. There's no need to rush. Besides... I'm a prince. You're a princess. Both in disguise. How about we get to know each other a little? How about we have some fun?", Veo suggested playfully. He trusted Lucrecia to have his back so he felt playing a little wouldn't be all too bad. On one hand, he glanced over to a dark, lush forest nearby. Plenty of privacy and he had plenty of desire. On the other, it would be more satisfying to take her back to the Demon Kingdom first. Without a second thought, he opted for the latter as he already missed home. The unfamiliarity and weakness strewn across the human kingdom displeased him. He wanted to kill so many cripples and children and anyone that would die easily at his hands but alas, he could not, for it would compromise this clandestine mission. "Now, we can do it the hard way", Veo said with poise though his eyes glinted once more at the prospect of the innuendo but continued nonetheless, "Or we can do it the easy way. Your choice"

â™  Robert Bissette â™

Robert watched the flap that the prince exited close for a moment before looking back down at the map. He could do better than this. The strategies made sense, but they weren't the best that he could do and, if asked (Though no one would dare to even insinuate he wasn't up to par within earshot of him without getting sent on a suicide mission.), he would point to the prince as the reason for it. His years in training had even etched into his subconscious that the prince took priority over all things as a member of the royal family – how could he not be distracted when the boy was literally right there without a guardian in the middle of a war? If there was so much as a scratch on the child, it would be a dishonor on Robert's reputation.

He sent a glance at the knights he had accompany him in the map room, a pair of men he decided to be worthy enough to be considered his 'best soldiers', Their skills, though, were put more to use at following the prince and making sure he didn't get into harm's way. They left to do just that without any further motions, exiting to follow the prince and leaving Robert to contemplate the war.

It had already gotten out. Annabelle wanted to hide her face and curl up into a little ball every time she heard the whispers of the mysterious note found on the king's throne that morning. The man was mad – furious, even. The staff all had said they had never seen the man's face so red when he first read it and Annabelle just knew it was absolute truth. The king had started a war over his precious daughter – he loved her dearly and anything that could possibly threaten her was hated more than anything one could conjure up. Annabelle was dead and she felt like crying with every flap of her wings as she hurried on through the kingdom towards the border.

There were search missions all throughout the kingdom to try to retrieve the princess – the fastest, most swiftest of men and women trying to track her down.. If the princess was in the kingdom, she would already have been found. There was no point continuing a search there and she absolutely needed to find the princess even if it meant crossing into enemy territory alone. She hesitated if only because of that as she reached the border, lowering herself to the ground slowly. Flying in the human lands at this time was like hanging a giant blinking neon target around her neck. She would have to walk. She frowned and folded her wings, tugging out the cloak she had taken along to better hide them from sight. She still looked horribly suspicious, but it was better than nothing.

She took a breath and stepped across, keeping her eyes on the surroundings as she tried to head towards the closest town they were occupying. Hopefully the princess had been stopped at a nearby camp of their own people and not been caught by something more sinister.

James frowned as he thought about the information he got so far. About a quarter of the cavalry weren't up to snot at the moment. They were either wounded to where they couldn't fight, or extremely ill. And they barely had ten archers with any skill available to go out into battle. Hopefully the numbers will get better as I keep going. He thought to himself when he heard shouting. He turned to see a man running full speed to where he was.

It looked like someone who was supposed to be on guard at the outskirts of the camp. He brought news that while he was out patrolling, he saw a human girl out in the distance with two other people. And there were dead bodies of a patrol. It looked like the two other people were trying to take the girl.

"Sounds like we don't have much time to lose. Hurry up lets to try to save her." James told the people closest to him as he took off. Thankfully he didn't have time to take off his sword when he entered the camp. He might need it if the people trying to take the girl put up a fight.

((Oh no it's perfectly fine. I hope I didn't make you wait to long >.< ))

Akalia glared at the demon behind the prince. It wasn't normally in her to glare and threaten. But she did not exactly 'want' or 'need' to be taken anywhere right now. She wasn't in the mood. She had come for one reason and when she looked back, she almost fell to her knees at the sight of the man she had been looking for seemed to coming towards their direction. Of course there was a good distance and she only noticed the sun gleaming off the purple hair. She looked back at the demons and sighed slightly.

"What do I need to do in order for you to leave me be..." She asked trying to chill out her tone. She didn't have time or the energy to be mad all of a sudden.

{If I need to edit, let me know.}

Lucrecia easilly spotted the humans in the distance, taking this as an easy sign that she and Veo did not have as much time as they had originally thought. With a single, smooth upward motion with her right arm, a lengthy wall of rock and earth rose from the ground and blocked their path. She knew that this would only delay their arrival, not outright prevent it, as the humans would certainly know the forest's layout better than she or her prince ever would. Part of her had considered just letting the humans come, as she had no doubts that she and Veo could easilly take them on. However, she was certain that getting into a fight with these humans also meant a long enough distraction for Akalia to make her escape. "We're running out of time. Unless you're just looking for a quickie in the dirt, I suggest we high-tail it out of here with the feather-brained honey before any unwanted distractions get in the way."

"Will do", Veo said with a smirk towards his guardian. The lady knew her stuff and acted without hesitation. The prince was more amused with her than all his previous guardians combined. He picked up the princess and rested her on his arms, moving along quickly. "I'm not going to hurt you but if you squirm, she will", he said in an amused and almost endearing way. "Lucrecia, open a portal for me, will you? There's a transport stone in my pocket if you need one. As you can see, my hands are full", he said towards his guardian, intent on being back to home, sweet home.

James couldn't help but snarl when a wall appeared in front of him. "Of course they wouldn't be human. That would just be too easy." He grumbled to himself as he looked to both sides. Chances were that they were both the same distance so in that respect it didn't matter, but he did know that the forest on the right side was a lot easier to navigate than the left side. "Hurry men. We gotta get there before we lose them." He ordered as he took off to go around the wall.

Lucrecia was tempted to tease Veo with her hand and subtly promise naughty things she shouldn't, but they didn't have the time. A pity, really. She grabbed the stone rather unceremoneously from Veo's pocket and immediately began crafting a temporary portal back to the demonic homeland. With her talent and experience, it didn't take her long at all to complete the spell. As the portal would likely close immediately after she would use it, along with the fact that it's easier to guard Veo from behind in this scenario, she made sure to step away from the portal and to almost dramatically motion for the other two to enter. "After you, I insist."
PostPosted: Thu Feb 07, 2013 5:17 am

And this is why Veo hadn't shagged Lucrecia before. The exploitation of these little gestures would often be the doorway to kinky behavior. Veo always said to himself not to trouble himself with less-than-passionate women when there were literally hoards that would throw themselves at his feet. Marrying the loveliest of them was merely a bonus to him. Hopefully, such a bonus would be worth the trouble it would take. As the portal opened, he heard the clattering of feet drawing close. The humans had gotten around the wall after all. His face hardened for a moment but returned to its innately classy and haughty look. "I expect it of you", he said casually, declaring the kind of behavior he wanted of his subjects. He took gallant steps towards the portal, content to return to home, sweet home.

((OOC: XD I laugh. Thank you, Anime~ ))

{Glad to know you enjoyed it, thank you. XD}

Lucrecia rolled her eyes at Veo's haughty response when he wasn't looking, expecting nothing less of the Prince. She felt somewhat bitter about Akalia being given special attention, but Lucrecia felt that she had no real right to be. So she would never dare admit such thoughts. If asked, she would easilly admit that she didn't see what Veo sees in her. He normally didn't like girls that weren't crazy about him. Just seeing how the angel responded to his advances told the demoness that she wasn't going to be very cooperative beyond the minimum that kept her alive - even then an escape attempt or ten wasn't implausible. This made Lucrecia certain that this was nothing more than a glorified one-night stand for Veo, and once the whole 'marriage' thing happened or was about to happen he would get bored of her. (Whether he would keep her around just because or slay her to make room for an official trophy wife remains to be seen.) The lady guardian couldn't care less about most of Veo's one night stands, as she had plenty of her own when he wasn't with her, but it didn't stop the negative feelings she felt about this one. Sometimes she hated not being a heartless succubus like her mother raised her to be. It was so damn inconvenient. Still bothered by her own thoughts and newly surfacing worries that she'd undoubtedly try to repress later, she followed after her Prince - the portal lingering for several moments after her entrance before starting to close.
