Ah. there we go. Shik wasn't a fan of losing his crystal charge, but . . . well, there were sacrifices in war. He nabbed a few of the nettles and slid them in the pouch at his belt as others came forward. Excellent, more fodder!

"Don't get testy," he smirked at Shaheen, waving away her dust with a light movement of his wings. "We still have more things to play with, don't worry. Mind you, you ought to save your rocks for their heads next time."

Yes, there was another enemy, but Fai was famine. Fai was going to get himself some loot, ok. And being the excellent famine that he was, he made it out rather well.

It was down!

Had she really done anything to hurt it herself? She wasn't certain. She still wasn't positive the beast hadn't been laughing at her, but did it really matter? The thing was down. That was what mattered. They could move on to no doubt bigger and more terrifying things than whatever that had been. Nkosazana didn't know how to deal with Insanity. It was big. It was frightening. It was something that she had so little experience with, unlike some of her fellow horsemen who seemed to battle it every day and--

She was freezing up. This was stupid. Nkosazana shook her head and straightened herself out. No use to anyone if she was having a panic attack about the unknown--and tripping over things. Ow. Rubbing her arm sheepishly, she bent over and picked up the item she had managed to trip over. This looked like it might be useful. She had no idea what it was, really, but it went into the dufflebag over her shoulder along with two nettles she found on the ground.

Wait, they were getting ahead of her. Sealing her dufflebag, she scurried off after the others.

It was probably a good thing that Thera released that pleasant "bomb" of Distortion and Fear. It washed over the out-of-breath (and out of fighting shape) Nkosazana, making her feel a lot better than she had. Rejuvenated, she readjusted, ready to keep flailing at the enemy ... or fighting. That was what she needed to do. Summoning her weapon readily again, she stared forward.

But the famine boil wasn't finished. He found a nice little stash of distortion fragments, scooped up a handful, and slipped them into his pouch. THEN he was ready to head into battle.

Towards the back, of course. He liked being in the back of the battle. So much more peaceful than being in the front.

Shaheen smirked back towards Shik before picking her way among more of the remains, stooping down once more when her eyes caught sight of something else that looked like it could be fairly useful, and placing it in her pouch as well. Hmmmmmm, yes, she was fairly certain something useful could be made from these!

Straightening up and moving back towards him, she lifted her dagger to tap against his chest before speaking. "Maybe when we're finished here, we can play something else." Was that a bit of an evil glint in her eye? Though despite what might have been a hidden innuendo in her words, Shik would have been foolish to assume Shaheen meant anything besides something violent.

It didn't seem like there was really going to be much time to come to any conclusions anyways as Thera had them falling back into rank and moving on, herding them along further out into the land until they came upon another titan.

It was time to go to battle again, and Shaheen was more then ready, especially after a Fear boost was sent to restore her shield and recharge her distortion shard.

The titan fell in no time. She cocked her head as she watched the other horsemen purify the creature, and then items seemed to tumble out, left behind as the titan disappeared. While the others picked up interesting items, it seemed to rain fragments for her. Jay grew confused as she stared at the shards covering her hand. S-So many…Would she be able to use them all?!

Kiwi glanced down as something almost seemed to skitter past his leg.

Oh ... how curious. His fingers wrapped around a small grey mass that oozed with a fine grey mist. A piece of ... core, from this titan?? ...

He pocketed it inside his satchel, turning just as their next foe rose from the nether.

This one seemed strong. But he was ready.

Eitri arrived a little late to the party - the titan falling before he even had a chance to land a hit. His nose crinkled a little and he scuffed a foot on the ground, the hand carrying his sickle dropping to his side. He was a little disappointed he wasn't there to lend a hand, however he was more than happy to lend a hand in looting. Hey, he was a smith. Who else better to have the materials than he?[

So he dug around, pulled out something that looked broken but perhaps still useful and shoved it into the satchel on his side. Then he waited for everyone else to initiate.

Yves could only look on while gaping like a goldfish as both Shaheen and Shikora along with the other Horsemen went on to despatch then purify the Defense Class Insanity Titan with relative ease. So that was how it was supposed to be done. Go figure. He made a mental note of his own observations, pausing to pick up a handful of distortion fragments along with some nettles before trying to close the distance between himself and the other two War Horsemen.

It had been quite awhile since he last saw much lest spoke to both of them at length just like the good old days, but he supposed that he could at least draw some solace in the fact that the both of them were very much alive and spared from what happened to those who didn't quite make it. He still wasn't quite sure how he should feel about all that really. Even at this particular point in time...

It seemed that Yves would have to postpone his plans to do some catching up with Shaheen and Shikora for now with Thera's call for them all to fall back into formation, which sat well with him sort of considering his awkward nature whenever it came to socializing. Although he was fairly well acquainted with both War Horsemen to the point of being comfortable in his interactions with them, it still had been awhile after all.

The battlefield was proving to be a much better distraction for him at the moment and one that he ought to focus entirely on, especially with the voices that were trying to overwhelm them on top of the arrival of yet another Insanity Titan. This one was much larger, a humanoid figure that towered over them all as he gave it his full attention which it likely deserved as well.

Grasping firmly onto his blade, it struck him then that he wasn't as worn out as he might have been given the treacherous terrain and their earlier battling with the other Insanity Titan. There wasn't really any time to go over in his mind the mechanics behind the how or when it happened though, his lips pulling back in a snarl as he charged alongside the others to engage their latest adversary.

Mmur fished around a little while longer, coming up with a handful of fragments that glowed an eerie silvery gray. He glanced between these new items and the weird thing he had picked up moments ago. There was no way he could carry these things as he was now and still be effective in battle. He scanned the area quickly, grabbing a loose scrap of cloth off of the ground before jogging after the group.

He caught up with his comrades soon enough, the fragments and core he had scavenged bouncing against his bony hip as he ran. Mmur had crafted a makeshift bag to hold them, but that hadn't stopped the things from jingling around. He felt another titan shake the earth as it arose, and as Thera's wave of healing washed over him and soothed his bumps and bruises, he ran into the fray to get some more.

With a whooping laugh, Mmur summoned his whip and hopped toward their foe, slashing it viciously and getting struck in return. The titan flung him back through the air, the horseman landing with a grunt of surprise.
