Zel was glad for the brief respite - and having gathered his wits about him he charged at the other boil and slashed at him again with his claws.

As Zel came back on what seemed to be a second wind, Zaire threw his hands up, gaining a few claw marks of course but also being in distance now to attempt a knee to the other boil.

Zel grunted feeling the knee jam him right in the diaphragm. With his wind knocked out he couldn't really get in another hit at Zaire.

Feeling the connection of the knee he followed through and pushed a fist out towards the other boils chin. Aiming to catch him square, as he jumped back for a little distance.

The chin shot sent him reeling back and he had to take a moment to shake his head out of it. He was really winded now and each blow felt a lot harder than it actually was. He panted weakly and tried to get back into the match.

If the panted breaths didn't prove it, the sweat rolling down to drop from his chin did. He was tired, exhausted really but the grin that was frozen on his face and glow to blue eyes said he was determined. Charging Zel he swiped at him with tail and growled.

He was being buffeted around by the other boils attacks and he was at he mercy of some sort of break in the tide.

Just keep hitting, just keep hitting, chanting had picked up in his fatigued mind. And with it Zaire left lose several punches, though most took the air around Zel.

Pulling himself up by the proverbial bootstraps, he hauled off and threw a hard right cross at the other boil's jaw - he didnt' care if it landed, he just needed to shift momentum if he could.

Zaire stumbled back as the hit knocked his jaw to the side with a loud pop. Nearly thinking it out of place he took the moment to adjust and give a few bites at the air before growling in delight, "nice one.."

"Thanks," He managed to sputter out but he wasn't able to follow up, as his next swing completely found nothing but air.

Zaire managed to evade the next swing, bringing his leg up he aimed a kick square for Zel's chest. Following through with the motion then jumping back to clutch his knees and inhale greedily. Jack damn this was by far better than his workouts in his dorm. A glance up to Zel was given, it was half hopeful that the last hit had managed to knock him down, and half hopeful he still stood because it was a good spar.

The kick to the chest caused the Cornugon to see red for a moment, and his world spun. Falling onto his back, he just lay there for a minute, trying to gather his thoughts and figure out if anything was broken. Mainly his wings cause he'd landed on them pretty hard. Grunting he slowly stood and worked them out then raised a hand.

"I'm done." The world was still spinning so he limped over to the other boil, draped an arm over his shoulder and pointed. "Get me to the creepiteria and food is on me."

He didn't wait for an answer, but leaned all his weight into the other boil and took a shaky step for the door.
