There are billions and billions of stars!Username: Lady_Katsaya Who are you entering with? Sora Link to the RP you're using: None Prompt response: Sora sighed, wings trailing through the water as he made his way along the beach. The clouds were blocking the sky, the moon peeking past every so often. Looking up he watched it before seeing the clouds begin to clear. The sea lit up as stars glowed brightly from the heavens, Sora almost certain he saw something flying past. Retreating to the sand, he laid his head down and watch the stars till he fell asleep, dreaming of home... of a place to belong.

There are billions and billions of stars!Username: Summer Raaven Who are you entering with? Pax Link to the RP you're using: n/a Prompt response: "Hurry up, we're going to be late!!" A large figure burst through the trees as she dove left and right, left and right, weaving her way through the thicket of the forest and into the clearing. It was nightfall, finally, and the mare had all but forgotten where she needed to be the following morning....if she didn't leave now, she'd never make it on time -- and last time she was late well...let's just say there was a reason she was held to such high expectations this time around. Always two steps behind everyone else, Pax knew that this could very well be the final straw. Her clumsy hooves and her wayward attitude was always getting her into trouble, and if she was late for this, there was no going back!! Certainly her employer would never want her back...she didn't even know if she'd want herself back, all things considered. A frown found its way onto her face as she ran through the night; she didn't have time to stop and think about it, but her mind wandered to the dark places of the what-ifs and could-be's.
She'd be out of a job and down on her luck, again.
"Slow down, Pax! Alls your doing is picking carrots for the harvest anyway, you can do that anywhere!!" Came a voice from behind her, Penny, her familiar looked to be clinging on Pax's mane for dear life as she ran, and an exasperated sigh escaped her. "It's not like you HAVE to impress Loleki's family, he loves you regardless!!"
"Yes but I'm a mess, if I prove to them I can do something right, I'll feel better about myself," the mare replied, but slowed down anyway. The night sky was less than perfectly clear, and so the star that she used to guide her way through the night had suddenly....disappeared. She blinked. Did stars usually disappear, or was she just losing it due to the stress of trying to be something she wasn't? Probably the latter. It had taken her days to find something she was capable of doing without screwing up, and then the day before she was supposed to report for duty, she went off on an adventure!! Ugh, honestly....sometimes, even she was sick of herself. She frowned again, remembering how she had told herself not to wander too far away from the harvest, and now....now she found herself at least a half a day's worth of travel away. Careless, that's what she was. Careless to the bone.
"If they don't accept you for you, they don't deserve you," Penny, the ever so faithful bunny chirped beside her, happy to be going at a pace that was a little more reasonable. She was a stand-in for Mahiri -- Pax's mother -- when Mahiri wasn't there. They shared the same motherly affection and worry for Pax, so no matter what she always felt at home.
"Shhhh, I think I'm lost....," the mare zipped her head in a different direction, hoping to find that star again -- somewhere, someplace. Maybe she was going in the wrong direction? Oh goodness she hoped not. A sigh. She was utterly hopeless. Didn't Loleki teach her anything about star-reading? Psh, she was probably kicking rocks or something when he was explaining, her mind halfway across the universe. She was screwed.
Just follow the brightest star in the sky, came her mother's voice in her head, and she smiled. Alright mom, and with that, Pax located what she thought was the brightest star in the sky at that very moment, turned direction, and headed off into the night...all but remembering her current path.

Username: ~Latonia de la Courtel~ Who are you entering with? Sunisra Link to the RP you're using: N/A Prompt response: Sunisra fluttered and folded her wings to her back, glancing around at her new surroundings with interest. The adventure to this new land had been long and winding, fraught with much excitement and danger. It was a sort of sorrow to see it end, but she would be glad to greet her family. She had missed them, in her solitary travels.. And even after, when she wandered with only one companion to accompany her. "One adventure ends and another begins. Don't you agree, Brother?" She murmured, glancing up at the sky that sprawled above them. "The stars are different here, but welcoming. I think we can be happy. Come then, let us find our family."

There are billions and billions of stars!Username: DarkenWoodWolf Who are you entering with? Aleatoric Link to the RP you're using: n/a Prompt response: Aleatoric looked at his sister, folding his wings down as well, following her example. He would not be sorry for this journey to end, as long as as his sister was safe, as long as they were with the right side of their family. He tossed his head, long curls tumbling down over his shoulder. Alea didn't have much care for the stars, since they were so far away and had little effect on their lives, save one that seemed to call to him, to maybe call him home? But he just nodded his to his sister and let her take the lead, now. Honestly, he didn't know how to find his family now. The star had only lead this far, now they had to actually look.

The Doctor (Sorry, it's the only image I have of him right now) Link to the RP you're using: N/A Prompt response: Does anyone in your herd have a connection to space or stars? Do any of your sorts like to wander, and perhaps get lost in the process?
"Do I have a connection to the stars?" The stallion peered up at the glittered expanse above him. "Weeeeell... ye could say that I have! There are some who tell of stories of people who came from such twinkling lights up there. Some of them good, some of them bad, but non have ever been a match for me. Though I would never condone violence against them. Nah, I prefer t' use me head." He chuckles once before turning towards the horizon. "If there is one thing I enjoy more than any it is exploring new places an' meeting new people. Ye never can tell who ye gonna meet, but I ken promise ye, it'll always be something memorable!"

There are billions and billions of stars!Username: Summer Raaven Who are you entering with? Happiness Link to the RP you're using: n/a Prompt response: The sky was never really her friend. Try as she may, the clouds never answered her prayers; the stars never showed her the way.
The journey through life was a difficult one, no matter who or what you were, and to admit that meant that you were truly grown up -- truly ready to face whatever else life threw at you, whether it was fair or not. She learned, at a much older age than most, that the journey was nothing like one could ever expect and it never ended, even when the destination had been reached. All her life she searched both inward and outward for her true self, and she was still struggling to discover what that meant. Her brother had his multitude of children, and his happy ending with his beautiful mate, and yet she still had.....nothing. Happiness wasn't jealous -- oh no, never jealous -- but she did wonder what kind of journey she'd still have to take in order to understand. She did wonder how much longer it would take before the universe told her story.
Ever since foalhood, she traveled. Her mother's herd were pretty nomadic at first, and so the young filly grew up not really knowing a home except for the vast array of ground beneath her feet. Once the herd finally did settle, Happiness was restless. Her first few months were spent moving, and to stay in one place felt abnormal. She'd complain to her mother almost every night, begging for a chance to leave, but her mother wouldn't allow it, and Happiness was the perfect daughter, so she always stayed. Eventually she grew to resent her mother, and when she died, Happiness took off without a second thought. She'd pray to be led to the brother she never knew, or to someone who could give her the life she never had, and relied on the heavens and the stars to help her.
The journey took years. Years she hadn't been willing to give, but gave all the same -- years she should have spent doing something else, but thought the end goal was worth all the time it took to get there. In the end, she reflected, of course it was -- she couldn't imagine a life away from Bliss anymore -- but in the moment, she hated it. She hated having to rely on the heavens and the stars for something she couldn't really explain -- how was that supposed to work? She believed in the all-powerful, she believed in hope, of course she did, but there were times where she felt she couldn't possibly believe anymore. Hope began to die, faith began to die. The stars weren't telling her anything, the heavens weren't answering anything.
In the end, however, they did. Happiness knew now that it had all been leading up to the moment she finally did find Bliss, and she realized she had come out of the experience a stronger mare. She had grown lonely in those years of searching for something she didn't know was out there, but now her heart was full of the joy she once felt. Her journey wasn't over, it was far, far from over, and she was rather excited to see where it went.
So long as she didn't have to follow any more stars.

There are billions and billions of stars!Username: dawns_aura Who are you entering with?Nephilim “Keeper of the Stars” Link to the RP you're using: n/a Prompt response: Adventure... Well, that was what his life had been from the moment he was born. Not that he truly looked at it that way, of course, but in the end that was what it had all boiled down to. Adventure growing up and learning and becoming.
But, the biggest and most rewarding adventure he'd had to date, was the finding of his heart, his star, his Anahi. More even when this adventure left him blessed with two little stars as well. His pride and joy. His sons.
And while he would never be an overly vocal and expressive father, he loved his heart and little stars fiercely. And he thanked whatever power that might be for them. They were his light from the darkness that guided him from the dark place the adventure that had been his life thus far and showed him that life was something worth living.

There are billions and billions of stars!Username: dawns_aura Who are you entering with? Rhaella Link to the RP you're using: n/a Prompt response: Life was hard.
This was the first thing Rhaella learned when she popped from her basket. A lesson that was reinforced daily, if not multiple times daily, as the kalona who watched over her – fattening her up until she would make more than a mouthful, as she would say if she was having a good day, or just constantly berating her and breaking her down one word at a time, until she had no sense of self-worth, of identity, anything. She wasn't a being, she was merely a shell, a plaything to the whims of another... whatever her mistress wanted at any given moment.
But she wasn't her mistress anymore. It was on a clear night, when the sky was so bright with stars it was almost magical... a night she had not seen the like of since, that she managed to escape. That she had finally decided enough was enough, and it was time for her to live and not just exist.
She didn't know much, nor did she have any ideas of the passage of time, or much about life when she came upon a kind stallion. One who was patient and helped her learn to be herself, to find who she was, and eventually a helped her to find the family she never even knew that she had. Family she had learned to love, even though at times they were … overwhelming to say the least.
Life was hard, but at times it was wonderful. Other times it was heartbreaking and one would have to fight with all their might to make it through to another day when things might start to look up. It was hard and full of trials, but there was also hope, and love, and she wouldn't have it any other way.

There are billions and billions of stars!Username: Zaikt. Who are you entering with? [ Sokol. ] Link to the RP you're using: Prompt! Prompt response: Those with no destination in mind were hardly lost.
He'd wandered for so long now, either on foot or by wing--it brought him no closer to what he sought, but the constant movement had become second nature to him by now. Sokol never stayed still for long, a quiet shadow flitting out of sight as soon as he'd been glimpsed; under cover of night, however, he was almost indistinguishable, save for the white wisps that followed him like loyal subjects. The darkness was his element, and the star-speckles that covered him mirrored the sky above as true as any reflection.
When the skies overhead had begun to grow brighter with each passing night, Sokol had initially been concerned--he was far more used to long winter nights with their stifling darkness, and the open air of Kawani lands still was something of a shock to him. But these new stars had become comforting after a while, and seeing them flare to life more fervently than ever before had brought him a soft feeling of peace. It was a sign of better things to come, a glimmer of hope that he afforded himself just this once.
And so he spreads his wings each night, dancing as close to the light as he can for as long as it shines. The cold air at this altitude calms his mind, and he flies until his chest burns and his lungs feel as though they're filled with ice--but he's breathed in stardust, and that's enough. The sun is rising in the distance, a slumbering giant rearing its head over the horizon; Sokol is content to land and watch, tucking his wings to his sides and curling up under the shade of a tree far older and wiser than he is. The night will come again, as will the stars. It's the constant he relies on the most, and he's at peace waiting for it.

There are billions and billions of stars!Username: Tara de Draiocht Who are you entering with? Atlantis Link to the RP you're using: n/a Prompt response: "Our herd," Atlantis looked towards her lifemate Stargate. "Mostly focuses on the concept of stars, the unknown, and other ancient findings. We are travelers who enjoy exploring the unknown and we look to the stars for assistance; Both for physical direction and mental guidance. The process of it can be quite exciting and frustrating at times. In fact our origin is a bit unknown as you can tell from my form-" Atlantis gestures to her star spattered body. "-the stars clearly chose me." At least that is what she liked to think and yet she had yet to see another like herself. Stargate had liked to joke he had trouble finding her at night because she blended so beautifully. " I was told by those who found me.... that I was birthed in a ring of rune symbolized stones and I in the center of said stones during the one of the starriest nights to date. The first being Stargate's birth who also ironically was birthed in a ring of stones that had runes on them in another location. The stars hold so much wisdom and the amount of time they have existed... it truly is fascinating. It is a shame they cannot verbalize like we can." Atlantis looked upward and watched as a shooting star tore against the blackness. “There are certain patterns in the sky that help orientate our clan to particular locations; especially if we travel at night. The only time we had trouble was during a stormy night… The sky had been so dark and lacking of light… there had been no shelter that we could see for miles. Truly frightening until by some freak occurrence the storm gave way and the stars were present again.” Atlantis thinks back to that moment and shudders at the strangeness.

Briathos Link to the RP you're using: N/A Prompt response: Briathos stared up into the night sky from her perch atop the outcropping of rocks. It was a clear night and she could see the lights in the heavens stretched out before her for miles. She almost couldn’t bring herself to blink. What if they vanished for good once she closed her eyes? Never before had Bri seen such a beautiful night sky. She always seemed to find herself in the dark of the forest on the cloudless nights. She would have to return to the trees eventually but until that moment she wanted to savor this night. This night she could share with no one and nothing but the stars.
