Walking onto the dance floor, staff in hand and glowing with her usual fire magic, she was surprised when the lights above turned red. This was new... and weird...

She looked upon the birds... she could roast them all in an instant. Opening her maw, she let lose a torrent of flames. Her fire ignited willingly, sweeping over the dance floor and scattering the birds easily.

Now this was the kind of response she could get used to!

Result: 25-50: You find some sort of blade that looks like a key. This just angers the first gnome even more. Best leave it there.

It took a while for her to shake off the effects of the previous game, but once the ghoul had her wits about her, she found herself at the haystack, listening to the gnomes prattle on once more while Sludge's sour looks shifted between the fighting gnomes and the pile before them.

Sifting through the hay once more, it wasn't long before her hands fell upon something round.yanking it out, she realized it was the key-shaped blade once more. Quickly stowing it back into the pile before the first gnome sees the results of her search, she shoots Sludge a look of apology and decides to just try again later.

Taking aim once more, Kari nailed the first shot. So far so good... or not, as she missed the second, third, and fourth zombie toys as they popped up...

No!, This would not turn out like yesterday! Sweeping the mallet across the entire panel, the reaper clipped the fifth toy while completely ripping the new one from its position in the hole.

Kari felt a bit sheepish as she accepted the statue, but they assured her that it wasn't the first zombie doll they've had to replace for one reason or another.

Kari stared at the set of arrows she had received... what the jack was this about? Two were bent at odd angles, and the third one looked to be held together with some kind of glue!

Trying out of the bent ones first, she wasn't surprised to find that they didn't fly straight, just barely clipping the outer edges of the target stand.

Trying to adjust for the angle of the arrow, the ghoul was shocked to say the least when she landed the middle ring. Maybe she could pull this off after all...

Taking the last arrow, she weighed her odds of the broken stick of an arrow making it to the target, much less hitting it. Her conclusion didn't sit well...

Eyeing the glued section, she channeled a bit of flame into the glue, hoping to solidify the bond a bit. When she felt satisfied with the results, she notched the arrow, pulled back, and let if fly....

Straight to the center of the target. Kari nearly did a double take, in disbelief of her good fortune! She had made double the points required to win! That idea had worked so much better than she had anticipated! The reaper was beaming as she walked away with another statue in hand.

Still feeling confident from her previous wins, Kari lit up the dance floor. The orange haze that fell over the ground managed to obscure the path of her flame until it was right on top of one to the birds, singeing its feathers and prompting it to take flight.

She felt like she could dance with how well things were going for her! She might have even done it if it weren't for the weird looks the masked individual was giving her as they handed her a statue.

Result: 50-75: You find a wooden stick. ("Thats a magic wand, and it belongs to a wizard-" "WRONG. STORY" ).

Alas, all good things must come to an end. Her journey to the haystack was met with more arguing, her explorations uncovering another stick, more yelling, and more dirty looks from Sludge as she retreated.

Oh well, at least it was fun while it lasted.

Time to test out her reflexes once more. Kari got into position as the game started up. Her first hit landed, while the second zombie managed to elude her. Third was another hit, with the fourth being another miss. Trying for another sweep, she managed to get two dolls lined up just right for the fifth and sixth hits, securing her another win and a gold dragon.

This round at least gave her decent arrows. A definite improvement from the previous attempt. Testing out the first one, she was pleased to find that it landed in the middle section of the target. So far, so good.

Her second shot actually had her cheering out when she nailed the outer ring, gaining her enough points for the win without using up her last turn. All things considered, she was doing really good!

And now it was time to swat away some birds. Opting to swing at them rather than burn them, she approached one, her confidence turning to horror as the familiar blue light and the sluggish sensation eased over her.

Determined to power through it, she swung as hard as she could. Luckily, it seemed the bird wasn't paying attention until the very last second, when it took flight to avoid her attack. Shuffling off the dance floor, Kari accepted the gold statue once feeling seeped back into her.

Was the ghoul really surprised to hear the gnomes fighting still? Not really. Was she still perplexed as to why Sludge didn't just go into the haystack to look for the ring themselves? Definitely. Did Kari still wade through the pile of straw in an attempt to find the tiny piece of jewelry? Absolutely.

Had she once again managed to only find a strange blade, which begged the question of its placement in a pile of hay in the first place and prompted another round of arguments? She sure as jack did.

Hoping to have as much success as her last round, the reaper took her place before the game area. Raising the mallet, she just barely caught a glimpse of a mischievous smile on the gnome's face before the game started.

All at once, the first and second zombie toys came and went. What the absolute jack?! The game was going way faster than normal. Trying to compensate for the speed, Kari just barely managed to whack the third toy as it was descending.

The next two managed to evade her, but the last toy was close enough that she was able to sweep over and hit it, allowing her to skirt by with a win. The gnome looked none too happy to give out a gold dragon. Kari just hoped this wouldn't become a thing...

Were the gnomes running low on statues? Did they have to resort to rigging their games to make them harder to win? Kari contemplated these questions as she stared at the broken arrows she had been given with only a shrug from the gnome in question.

Luckily, her trick for fixing the arrows last time seemed to work once more as she notched her first repaired arrow and managed the middle ring of the target.
