Kyt & Green Rath - Dodging

Kyt was glad to see that they hadn't been the only two that had missed. Feeling a bit more confident now she nudged Rath to change course. They would do better this time. Rath easily banked and brought them back around for the next pass of the 'thread', eyeing it with careful wariness. Kyt kept watch directly above and a slight shift in her weight warned the green before the words came to mind. Above! Rath changed course abruptly, and despite trying to appear competent and serious in front of her wing, Kyt let out a small delighted laugh at the sudden movement. There was nothing she loved in this world more than the feeling of flight.

As everyone made their second pass, it seemed some of the nerves were starting to wear away from some of the riders as all of the Hurricane riders successfully dodged yet only Lucayr and Tikth managed a successful flame for Tornado wing, granted it was a direct hit. Takarath reminded his, "You're right of course. We still have to practice as a wing as well, get used to working together." V'kenti was at least pleased to see that everyone was taking it seriously, in exception to the small green rider who seemed to be enjoying some acrobatics. The pair was still young though, so he allowed them their small bit of excitement. It would be A'dras who would deal with it in any case.

Takarath relayed instructions to a few of the riders. He paused for a moment before continuing,

V'kenti allowed A'dras to take care of his riders though Takarath did make a comment to Gareth, It was a compliment of course, one that the wing earned for all their successful dodges.

As the wings came around for their next pass, V'kenti gave instructions for the next round.

Ashlyn and Gyafrith- Dodging

A smile was now on Ashlyn's face, they had managed to dodge without too much trouble. Not only that, it seemed that those of their Wing who were here all did as well. She looked Kyt when she heard the laugh, quietly shaking her head at the girl, knowing A'dras would remind her of conduct later. For now, she listened as they were told they would be dodging again, okay, she could handle that. Taking a deep breath, she waited and then got ready to direct Gyafrith.

Let's see if we can do as good as last round, Ashlyn Mine,he thought to her.

Flaming - /PACH CRIES INTO THE DICE

Gwyndolin. You've barely had any experience for a turn. Remember others have been riding for far, far longer. We'll catch up. You'll see. Neiveth offered gentle encouragement to her rider as his frustration nudged up against her. They had barely been considered old enough to ride at 16 when Neiveth had been mature enough to join a wing and well.....

There had been little practice to get oriented with their last wing before Threadfall had actually began.

Again. he agreed and Neiveth trilled adoringly at her chosen. Her perfect chosen, even if she did have to remind him to pick up his chin and not be so hard on himself. He was young, after all. Perhaps the youngest in the wing. V'kenti would understand, perhaps.

Even if the pair were still, really, really bad at aiming at anything. Nerves? Maybe. Inexperience? Very much.

It seemed this pass was no easier for everyone than a few of the previous ones. V'kenti began to wonder if perhaps he was doing something wrong or if maybe they were all just out of practice, which internally he scolded himself for. They were High Reaches riders, they should be performing better than they were. At least, he told himself as a small amount of consolation, it wasn't actual threadfall. He watched as Yffengeth, who had been previously the MVD (most valuable dragon) for his wing take a direct hit while Gyafrith took a graze. None of his wingriders were successful with their flames. The small positive was that Lestenna's aim was true this round and was the only successful rider, besides the few who successfully dodged. Takarath broadcasted the roles for the next round so everyone could prepare for pass.

Only rolling 1 dice to make each wing have done each roll twice! So Tornado will automatically dodge and Hurricane will automatically flame!

1st 1d20 decides rolls:
Odds = Tornado dodges
Evens = Hurricane dodges
2nd 1d20 decides number to dodge/flame!

Dodging - Can't touch this

There was a certain bubble of frustration Neiveth could feel building in her rider's chest and the green thrummed at him. She knew it wasn't that he was doing bad that was striking him, but perhaps.....

G'lin. G'lin's mind immediately snapped to the moment, unused to hearing his single love in life (or so she was hoping it to be) use his Rider name instead of his birth given one. My eyes are for what is in front of my face, yours are for what is above us. Guide me. Takarath's instructions (or rather, V'kenti's) put them back to dodging, but perhaps Neiveth was right; they were two sets of eyes that didn't need to over-focus on one thing.

The light haired boy turned his attention upwards to start scanning above. Pull in your wings and fall back. he instructed and the green obliged as the 'thread' fell past them, leaving her completely unmarked. Sometimes she just needed to point her boy in the right direction, that was all.

Ashlyn and Gyafrith- Flaming

Ashlyn had winced when she saw the thread had grazed Gyafrith's tail. Her blue dragon assured her it was fine, for her not to worry. She gently stroked the side of his neck, she was so happy she had him to quell any fears she had. He always knew the right words to calm her down and help her think about things in a different way. She mentally thanked him, before noticing they were not the only members of their wing that had trouble during the round. Actually, seeing it was Yffengeth surprised her and drove home again that it could happen to anyone. Then it seemed once everyone was done, they were given their new assignments. So Hurricane was back to flaming again, okay, hopefully they could do better.

Do not worry, Ashlyn Mine, we will give it our best. Alright, let'd get ready,the blue soothed. Rider and dragon both prepared themselves, then waited for thread fall.
