He was glad he had his particular peculiarity, as he had gathered what she said before she said it, so he could wrack his brains trying to remember what he knew of "Mechana." Of course he had a database on every known hero, but he didn't study them all regularly. However, as soon as she mentioned being classified as a "villain sympathizer," he could place her. "Ah yes, I recall a Mechana now. A tech-based hero who got in trouble after admonishing a supposed hero who had just brutally murdered a child. Or at least that is how I heard the story. I can see why you would have your doubts. When supposed heroes can get away with murder, and those that bring them to justice are vilified, it is hard to trust the system at all." This was absolutely perfect. If he could just continue to convince her that heroes were bad and the Exiles good, they would have a formidable weapon next time an altercation arose. To think, the great Zara Valentini would be lending her aid to people she had locked away before. The thought was too delectable. "What do you mean by "people like you?" People with clarity of vision? who aren't obsessed with fame and glory? people with morals? Many outside the realm of heroes are starting to see the inconsistencies. They are starting to see this the way you do." He smiled brightly, encouragingly. He wanted her to continue the way she was thinking, to buck the system, and she was in a damn good place to do it as well. "And just think, you can be at the forefront of this change. You have the ears of the students, tell them what is wrong and what they can do about it. Isn't that one of the principal perks of being in the education field, to help shape the future for the better?"

First Time▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅ In full honesty, Zara was pretty sure that he'd probably wouldn't remember, but it seemed as if once she said the key words: "villain sympathizer", Jasper finally knew who the hero was. However, she wasn't expecting him to actually be on her side. It was really a nice feeling to finally have someone who wouldn't perceive her as the public had. Once he started mentioning her and her position at the academy, the woman only chuckled slightly. If only if it were that easy. " That's easier said than done. I mean, they're teenagers. They won't listen well, especially this one student... but I'll try my best. I'll just have to see what this new school year brings. " Zara let out a light sigh before she finished up her meal and her wine. Once the two were finished with dinner, the bill was paid, and it was finally time to go their separate ways for the night. However, before she headed towards her car, the woman rummaged through her purse, grabbing a small business card and presented it to Jasper. " Thanks for dinner. Here~ Just give me a call or a text if you want to hang out again. Next time it's my treat, too! " With that said, she gave the man a little wave and headed home. The festival was on the way, so she had to prepare everything for her booth!

Watching Stahl and hearing what he had to say, Laelia gave a smile. Laelia couldn't help but show a puzzled expression on her face, as she sat at the unoccupied table, the buisiness of the city would sure be something for Laelia to get used to, but she had faith that she would get along fine. Laelia took great pride in perfection and even neatened up her hair as they waited to be served, As Stahl revealed his peculiarity Laelia clapped her hands excitedly to find it a rather interesting skill to behold or in this case exhibit."OOh how fascinating, a rather defensive peculiarity you have going on -- " She would pause at the thud of the menu falling to the table, not out of fear from his peculiarity , but at the fact of the sudden thud of the robust menu, a hand would reach through the particle mist in a curious fascination before moving her hand away as he reformed his limb and would chuckle softly,
"--Okay i guess it is my turn to show you exactly what I can do, it is no secret though in comparison I doubt it is as impressive though a valuable peculiarity in times of crisis" The vines binding Laelia's hair would unravel themselves as she called them to her as they wrapped around her arm a flower budding in her palm like a beautiful white lotus, the petals creating a rather pearly secretion.
"I am a healer I can summon plants to heal and to protect-- oh-oh no do forgive me for I fear I have forgotten something..I am meant to be at the academy setting up my booth, I am meant to be selling flowers at the big welcoming festival... do you think it would be okay to get a doggy bag to take with me?.. you know a take away?"
For the first time in their meeting Laelia seemed agitated as if she was overthinking, perhaps it was due to the fact she was hungry or the fact she had allowed herself to be tardy.

Stahl smiled sheepishly as Laelia passed her hand through the mist that was once his own. He couldn't feel it, but it was still an odd throught. Did that technically count as her hand being in his? Either way, it was a good thing their hands were nowhere near as his reformed...that would be something worthy of freaking out over. Hearing her downplay her own peculiarity, the male couldn't help but shake his head in disagreement. "The fact that it's likely to be different is impressive enough." He reassured. He wondered just how unique his power was...whether or not there'd be someone, maybe even attending the Academy, that could do something similar. He had been told that each person's peculiarity was different, but was that just a general observation? Before getting himself too tied up by the thought, he put his focus back on Laelia. His gaze caught movement from her hair, eyes widening slightly as they found the vines move to her arm. He stared at the flower for a moment, as the green thumb of his family, his attention was definitely caught. What sort of flower was that? How did it grow? Could it live independantly from the violet-haired woman in front of him? Stahl had many questions, however they would have to wait whilst his new friend started to explain what she could do. That, however, would also have to wait it seemed, Laelia cutting herself off with a reminder of her tasks for the day. The festival! In his previously overwhelmed state over the city they were now in, he had completely forgotten that it was today. "Oh! Y-yeah, I think so?" He said, totally unsure whether or not this particular cafe actually did allow that. Luckily, it seemed, an approaching waiter gave quick confirmation, Stahl letting out a small breath of relief. "Alright, better actually see what's available then." He said light-heartedly, grabbing the menu once more and quickly skimming over the choices...not so much eager just for himself, but so he wouldn't end up making Laelia even later for her booth.

He could see the relief wash over her face as he came out in support of her. Was probably a rare occurrence, what with the hero-centric nature of current society. She didn't seem as convinced that she could change any opinions, but he had faith in her. "They may not listen well to adults and the mainstream, but most youths seem fascinated with the counter-culture. And they will probably listen more attentively if you come across as one of them, not their superior. Or at least that is what I recall from when I was that age. Still, with your determination, I imagine you will be able to change a few opinions for the better." He let her ponder such matters as they finished up their meal and the wine. He was sorry to see the wine go, but it was for a worthy cause, and hopefully soon his investment would be returned sevenfold. Once they were done and ready to leave, he escorted her outside and to her car. Before she got in to leave, she gave him her phone number. "Were it not gauche, I would call you as soon as I got home. But I believe you have a festival to attend tomorrow, and I shan't interrupt your preparations. Maybe after the festival, then? And I am not too much of a gentleman to refuse your request. If you wish to sponsor, I will in no way complain."

Terra blinked in response to his words as she began to explain to her some of his interest. She did like to read to a certain exstent... she wasn't much of a bookworm but it did confirm she was probably aiming more for this guy being one anyways. What caught her attention was the fact that he liked exploring! So she liked to do that lot to Adventures into the wild were something they could both get alot with at and she was determined to see if they could use that similiarty to hang out more often. She heard the waiter talking to them as he approached and she turned to him. Raven offered for her to go first so she said,"I'll have the chicken plate.. fries as the side and honey mustard as my sauce", she informed the waiter,"Mind bring me some ketchup to?", she asked smiling as she handed the waiter back her menu and then turned to raven finally able to answer his question,"I like to explore alot to", she admitted,"I'm pretty excited about new places and new objects to interact with I love the carnival when it comes into town so i can try all the yummy foods and get to ride all the rides. I feel like my life isn't tied down to one place I like to drift from place to place a lot", she explained,"Though sometimes its nice to settle in for a bit usually i watch tv or take a nap but sometimes I read a book if it is really interesting", she confirmed,"I dont really care to read to much or draw... I can't draw", she shook her head,"I like to color things though!", she chirped in,"Its always nice to see the colors mixing.. but i never have time for it I'm always in my backyard looking for seeds and new wild life or something", she confirmed,"Like there was this one time I was in my backyard I think it was last year...", she tapped her chin in thought,"Well.. anyways I found this strange briar wall thing that had just enough room for something small to squeeze through.. and coming into to the other side I notice how massive the inside was and there in the center lay a baby deer", she gushed,"I guess the mother jumps over the wall? I didn't mess with it or anything and just crawled right back out thinking back on it I could have been walking in on something pretty bad... I guess being raised to not fear nature and more so people I supposed I didn't even think about it", she told him. |

Aaron wandered aimlessly among the lights and sounds of the Grand Splendor Square. A single joint in his mouth burning brightly at the end as he took deep inhales of the intoxicating smoke. He had never seen a big city like this before and often fell into a state of awe. It was much different in comparison to the country side, in a way, he felt almost lost among the umbrellas, the kiosks, the grand stores and street lamps. It was a literal concrete jungle that had gone unexplored by some but is known to all. He removed his joint from the pursing of his lips and lazily glanced about at the restaurants nearby. "Do I really wanna spend my money on food...ooooor..." he pondered, holding out a small wallet filled with cash. Aaron didn't frivolously spend money whenever it came into his possession, he had no problem cooking his own meals at his home in the Alaric dorms but weed did give him the munchies. From an outside perspective a few passer by's gawked at him as he stood with hunched posture in deep thought about food.
The high must've really hit him, he probably looked like a statue in front of the windows to the restaurant, or a zombie. His short grey hair drooped listlessly over the crown of his forehead before he tucked his wallet away and sauntered over to a bench to sit down. "Yep, definitely feeling it.." he murmured, stretching his arms out and lounging back against the wooden bench. He watched others passing by on the main thoroughfare; he felt almost invisible to the masses if it weren't for the smell of burning 'devil roots'. Regardless, he sat there admiring the sky, the trees and birds. Enjoying the sights and sounds of the Grand Splendor Square as he took another hit off his rollie and exhaled a large billowing cloud of white smoke. He looked into the window of the eatery and saw two familiar figures dining within, he couldn't place his finger on it, but he had seen them before. It was odd but he thought nothing of it, he simply watched the body language exchanged between couples within the building. Some petite and polite, some belligerent and rude, others loving and dreaming, and few disgusted and posh. "Interesting people...here...I wonder how many are from the Academy..." |

Terra nodded in euthsasim,"Of course!!", she told him seeings as they would probably have alot to see before the actual festival ended,"There again! I hope we aren't going to be to late for it its getting late right,...", she said worried as she glanced outside,"Mom doesn't really like me being in the city after dark so uh... we might want to hurry before it gets to dark ya know", she informed him with a smile. She looked up as the waiter brought their food and she began to pick up her fries first dipping them in the sauce,"Eat up", she said between bites,"We don't wanna waist time chit chating huh?", she winked continuing to focus on her food as she did boy was she starving!! She had a light breakfast and wasn't to keen on noticing that time was flying by for them both as she waited around for him to finish after she polished off her plate, when the waiter came back through she said,"Can I get my check please", she asked politely, before she rummaged through her pack,"I brought my money to pay for the stuff", she pulled out a 20 smiling up at the waiter as she handed it over to him. |

Terra laughed,"I sure hope so", she told him smiling as she checked the time on the clock,"Oh no...", she frowned,"I think its getting late! I'm gonna have to go I'm sorry I kept you out so long", she lowered her head,"Maybe next time we can hopefully be more punctual on out outings but I think its time for me to go now", she told him waving,"I hope to see you around Raven thanks for the visit!!", she then turned and headed outside as she made her way down the street she called out for a taxi she needed to head back home mom had said something about her getting settled in her dorm and she didn't want to mess that up or she would be in trouble. Finally flagging a taxi down she entered the car paid the drive and off they went out of sight out of mind...
