Physical Description: She has skin that is practically golden with a mass of golden ringlets and green eyes. Standing 5’7 she is tall but not towering and slim with curves in all the right places. More leg than torso. Favors reds and golds.

Personality: Dsharmira is naturally charming in the delightful and pleasing way. She is smiles and sunshine, pleasant and lively. In her eyes the world isn’t the terrible place others see it as. It has challenges and difficulties but also has a way of working out if you work with the world rather than against it.

She is very animated when left to her own devices. But when the other person wants or expects something else, that is what she becomes. Dsharmira thinks of it as being flexible however it goes beyond that. She is changeable to the point of being inconsistent and deceptive. It isn’t lying to her because she doesn’t do it on purpose but it is lying because it isn’t always true to who she is. Though she does consciously lie as well to please others and ease her way in the world.

Who Dsharmira is inside is rather a mystery to others. She is closed off from the world not sharing her deep thoughts and emotions with anyone. What she shows the outside is a reflection what the person she is with expect her to be. She shuts off pieces of herself that don’t quite work for the needed persona, compartmentalizing who she is in an almost unconscious way.

While she is spirited, and has even be called feisty (though she hates that term and finds it degrading), it is one of the pieces that gets put away more often. Most people that come into her life are looking for someone else it seems. She would love to meet someone wit for wit, barb for barb, and even one up someone.

In becoming that reflection Dsharmira does so well she is attentive to the needs and desires of the person. Though she is more apt to give what is needed not what is wanted. A want is a momentary passing in her eyes and a need is something that will stay with the person for a long time. She wants to be remembered.

History: Dsharmira grew up in Ruatha with her single mother. Things were not well in the household and her mother resented the child she had been burdened with after the father left. Not enough to get rid of the Dsharmira, the mother liked having a worker too much, but enough to let the girl know. Her mother was volilal when drunk and was often drunk. Dsharmira learned to be whatever her mother wanted at a very young age. When she was old enough Dsharmira managed to talk her way into the graces of someone who could take her to the Courtesan Hall. The day she left, the day she told her mother, the last words she heard from her mother were “Well, a whore is all you could hope to be.”

At the Hall, lessons were interesting and she devoted herself to learning. She didn’t let what her mother had said bother her. The part that bothered her was that she had left on bad terms. But she put that behind her and started to find friends and change who she was again. A little more of her own personality began to shine through everything she did yet she still continued to reinvent herself and pretend around others.

At 19 she walked the tables to become a Journeyman. A Lady approached her about joining a place that catered to clientele that wanted something they couldn’t get in their normal lives. At this Manor in Southern Boll the staff entertained guests and accompanied them on outings, priding themselves on being exactly what the client needed. It wasn’t, always, about sex but at providing times to be pampered and doted on for the clients. This seemed to be a perfect fit to Dsharmira and she accepted.

Over the years Dsharmira has made a bit of a name for herself in select circles and has a good number of regulars that she sees. She enjoys the work immensely. It also has given her the opportunity to go places and to events she never would have otherwise been able to be at. She attended the most recent Western Weyr Hatching and was suitably scandalized by the brutality of it. Yet the watching of rider bonds being made fascinated her and Dsharmira decided that she would try to attend more Hatchings when she could.

Anything else: She is pretty good at singing and can passably play the violin. Also she does a wonderful tea ceremony.

Origin of Name: Zhaorui, from the title that Empress Chabi received after her death, Zhaorui Shunsheng, meaning clever and beautiful queen. The most favored wife of Emperor Kublai Khan, Chabi was known for her wisdom and ability to sway her husband into bringing about peace throughout his reign as Emperor of the Yuan Dynasty in China. A true patron of the arts, she is thought to have been friendly toward Marco Polo while he resided in Kublai Kahn's court.

Inspiration: Caracal

Native to parts of Africa, West Asia, and South Asia, the caracal was known to be sought after by members of the Yuan Dynasty in China for its hunting abilities. Muslim traders would bring caracals, cheetahs, and tigers into the Yuan court, selling them in exchange for riches and silk. Like the Mongolian Chinese Yuan, the Indian rulers kept caracals and cheetahs as well. The traditional role of the caracal in Indian courts was to hunt small game, such as pigeons, which is thought to be the origin of the phrase "like a cat among the pigeons." Caracals were also venerated by the Egyptians, and often served as guardians for the tombs of pharaohs.

Like many cats, caracals are solitary creatures. Although they may sometimes hunt in pairs, the more common case of caracals residing together would be seen with mothers and their cubs. They normally only come together to mate. Caracals have wide ranges, with the males ranging approximately four times as wide as the females. Excellent climbers, they have an advantage when hunting small game such as birds, although they subsist primarily upon rodents.

Personality: There are two warring natures within Zhaoruith, that of a warrior, and that of a genteel lady. Perhaps the two are not without their compromise, for there is beauty and artistry in aerial battles - the likes of which young Zhaoruith will excel at - as well as a steel spine needed to wage wars of another kind. For Zhaoruith is quite a competitive young Green. She has no desire to be on the bottom of anyone's list, and will vie for attention if she feels that she is lacking it.

That said, she is more than capable of enjoying her own company, if no one else will. She is quite a cultured little creature, and does not suffer from a lack of imagination. Rather, it is very likely that she will lead her rider (or join her rider, should they be so inclined) in games of pretend. If it were possible for a dragon to attend the theater, this one would, for she loves music and dance, and would love nothing more than to watch such a performance. Oh, how delightful indeed!

As fanciful as she might seem, Zhaoruith possesses a bright, keen mind. Capable of holding her own with much older dragons, she doesn't seem married to any particular viewpoint, but rather changes her mind as evidence mounts against her former position. For what is more important to this dragon is truth, and truth cannot be found by holding oneself in place. There is an entire world out that that she is yearning to see, with so many stories left unheard.

One thing that is quite clear is that this little green has a temper. She does not care at all for being treated as lesser or inferior, and will fight tooth and claw to correct anyone she thinks is holding her in an improper light. Zhaoruith would prefer to take her temper out on appropriate enemies, such as Thread, but if none such exist, the offended party will find themselves lashed to within an inch of their like with a sharp, barbed tongue. How dare they?

Brown Paw Print Egg: A medium egg that carries an air of challenge, judging and weighing anyone who approaches. You get the sense that it finds you very... quaint.

Adult Size: 22'
Physical Attributes: This lovely green is well proportioned and queenly in every respect, save one: her hide. A middling sized green, to be sure, she is average in no other way. Her wingspan is a bit wider than most, and she enjoys stretching her wings out to sun them so that they are shown to best advantage.

Additional Notes: Has developed a deeply rooted grudge against her sister, Leoth. Will not likely forgive her, unless Leoth really bends the knee to ask her forgiveness. Zhaoruith is a fierce and feisty green who is very, very particular about whom she lets into her confidence. Prefers the company of other greens and will only choose a male if she is particularly impressed by him. He would, of course, have to do something rather spectacular. An exceptional flyer who will excel at Thread fighting.

Impression Effect: Upon Impression, Dsharmira will be even more charming and beautiful than before. It has been observed that riders are basically all supermodels, and Impression will help Dsharmira to understand why. After all, she now has the perfect confidante.

Why Me? Dsharmira (faesinger)

If there ever was a being that Dsharmira could trust and confide in, that being is Zhaoruith, who is her equal in every way. In fact, she is the equal of anyone, thank you very much. The green appreciates just how smooth and charming her rider is, while at the same time seeing in her something that can be buffed and smoothed to show her better qualities. For Zhaoruith is a queen, in her own way, and expects that Dsharmira will learn the ways of a grand lady. Appreciative of the other's trade, Zhaoruith will delve deep into all of the lessons in convincing others that the courtesan may have learned, relying on the attention that she so richly deserves like a lifeline. For this is one green who will not tolerate being second to anyone.
