tabSuga sent a wave of chakra through her left arm, coaxing her sword, Breaking Dawn, into existence. With a small burst of light, the shining blade appeared in her hand just as the flames closed in on her. “Light!” Was all she managed to get out, but it was all that she needed. Breaking Dawn illuminated the immediate area with Light Chakra that surrounded Suga as a dome made of hexagons. The flame hit this barrier but was quickly dispersed by it, every last ember fading away. There was a beat just as the flames faded, before that same tengu was assaulted by bursts of light, rapid fire explosions of chakra appearing all over its body. [Protected Light- Rank S Spiritual]
Tsuga was able to then take advantage of the confusion of the reflecting jutsu. They made a single handsign as the second tengu made a swipe at the crow’s master! An arm of violet chakra formed, rising from the clone’s body as it manifested an aura of chakra. It swung a ghostly weapon straight down, with enough force to slam the tengu’s blade into the ground before disappearing. [Uchiha Art: Storm God’s Bayonetta]
“Tsuki!” Suga called out, getting her pet's attention. The clone rushed over in the blink of an eye and stood back to back with the girl, both hooded figures staring at the two tengu! “You ready?” Suga asked, her pet, who nodded and gripped the handle of Dawn Bringer with its right hand over Suga’s left. As the blade of light pointed its tip at the two tengu, motes of light began to swirl into a small ball of light formed at the very end. The very charge up being a veritable beacon to many on the battlefield, it wasn’t long before this energy was unleashed. Rieyar quietly prepared some cards of basic healing jutsu as he listened to the battle beyond the walls. The samurai had undoubtedly bitten off more than they could chew in this fight, but it didn't me the child would be without work here. Quite the opposite, in fact. The healers of this place would prioritize their own above others, but as a civilian Rieyar had no such compulsion. They would heal whoever they got to first, and prepared as such.
The controlled Yua was not thrilled with the goings on here, it tried to kick its weight backwards to off balance Aiyume but it didn’t work to come to any avail. Despite being generally unable to get away she was still capable of forming chakra before the Hyuga cut her of, Yua charging chakra into her hands in a desperate struggle, shrieking loudly as the hyuga assail her, unleashing the chakra as it happened. Now she could form chakra and release a technique like this... but Aiyumes hold on her had limited the range of movement her arms had, which in stripped her ability to aim the technique properly nor use particularly complex Jutsu resulting in more spines of ice sporadically shooting up from the ground with speed and number, however lacking the aim to be of any use to her plight.
The shriek shifted from desperate and wild to paid as the elite hyugas technique began connect, the spikes poking up randomly about them as this happened and Aiyume and the Hyuga would likely notice a sharp drop in temperature immediately about her until the final touches knocked her chakra out of use. The results of this were catastrophic on the mind of the Yokai, even manipulated and not herself the shock of having her chakra knocked offline was immensely disturbing and distressing, It being a key part of her being and all. More importantly was that Yua had never experienced having her chakra disabled before and she had relied on it as far back as she could remember, this causing the cold wash of fear and was disoriented by shock and confusion. She attempted to shape her chakra and was greeted with nothing, the panic amplifying ”Wh..what is going on?! What have you done to me?” She breathed out in audible disbelief and horror, her struggling ceasing for a second as she said this, eyes wide and face filled with her emotions and pain.
Yua from within the fuge was also afraid and vulnerable feeling with this event, both halves basically in unison at this point, even with recognizing her Kages voices via loudspeaker and actually registering the words said. It wasn’t that his voices made Yua feel safe or rescued but more the aspect that she felt she had failed and betrayed him and this cut deep, so deep and strongly in fact that Yuas true feelings and self were bubbling to the surface and pushing earnestly against the pressure of the call. One last time did the manipulated Yua try to flare its chakra in a desperate struggle, struggling against Aiyume hard and managing to break out of her grip with one word upon her lips ”Wh..what is going on?! What have you done to me?”[color=blue]”Nooooooo!”[/color=blue] Was all she could yell as her both hands reached up to her face as she broke free and she landed knees first into the ground, leaning her hand down and making a long a pained sound as she’d broken the effects of the call at that moment, her emotions taking over as failure, guilt and a plethora of other emotions and reasons all simultaneously demoralized the vulnerable yokai, who was wailing hysterically at this point, totally unaware of the terror inducing “snow” that was about to land.
Coughing and offering little resistance to anything besides an unwillingness to uncover her face, the Yokai girl, confused and afraid wasn’t even aware she had sort of come to her senses, albeit in a sense and only until the “snow” landed. As a keen user of genJutsu Yua would generally be capable of realizing when her emotions were caused by unnatural means, the fact she was already feeling the emotion in question made the techniques ability to take root easier if not less effective. A Yelp would come from her as the shaking caused from her crying would intensify and she would begin to whimper inbetween sobs, collapsing onto her side and bringing her knees up to a position much like the fetal position. Her surroundings were meaningless at this point, she was so wracked with emotions that the amplified fear made her blot everything but it and the other negative emotions that made it and were made worse by it. Yua was hyperventilating extremely disjointedly and rapidly as a result, this causing her distress so that now Yua sobbed and whimpered inbetween gulps for air, mumbling incoherently, the first physically contact someone might cause her would result in her trying to pull away pitifully but not really in a position to do so.

As Seo ran, she didn't pay much attention to her surroundings considering she was trying to get back to her brother. However, it seemed that some of these samurai were intent on preventing her from making it that direction based on their sword slices at her. 'Damn it Hotaru if I get injured because of you, you're dead.' The girl said to her brother as she quickly ducked down into a crouched position. From this crouched position, the girl would release chakra from every single pore on her body. At this point, she began to spin to form a shield against the blades attacks. As each blade connected with the shield, the Samurai would be sent flying back by the pure power of the technique. "Your lucky you're not dead." She would say to the Samurai before running off again to chase after her brother, clearly irritated with having been stopped.
Hotaru watched as the two Yokai approached him. "Stop you don't have to do this!" He said to the attackers as he continued his linear path towards Yua. However, it seemed they wouldn't listen as they swung their icy blades at him. As these attacks came closer, lightning would begin to cackle around Hotaru. "Fine be that way!" As the claws struck Hotaru, they would be repelled by the lightning armor that covered the man. Without warning, Hotaru would grip onto one of the Yokai and suddenly toss them into the air. Almost like a shadow, Hotaru followed the Yokai into the air before delivering a kick into the Yokai's back to send it back into the earth. Hotaru's foot would remain fully planted until they reached the ground. His attention then turned on the remaining Yokai and in a flash of speed he would dart forward with his elbow extended, hitting the yokai directly in the face with his elbow.
By the time Hotaru was done dealing with the Yokai, Seo would have caught up. 'You need to listen to me. You're going to get yourself hurt.' Seo said to her brother as he turned away from her and continued on his way over to Yua. 'No I'll never leave behind a shinobi of our village. Whether or not she's evil or mind controlled or whatever, I'll bring her back!' The man retorted, noticing now that Aiyume had entered the battlefield, seemingly helping Yua. Unfortunately it seemed that the Yokai were enough to delay him as the Hyuuga's palms slammed into Yua. Hotaru had failed and it filled him with grief to see the Yokai in pain. In pain because he couldn't reach her in time and prevent his fellow Hyuuga from attacking her. The man's kaiser armor dropped as he finished he way over to the girl. He would then shove away the Hyuuga who were there and pick up the girl. "It's okay Yua. We're all here for you. Aiyume, Seo, Tsuta, and me." The man would say reassuringly as he attempted to begin walking her back to the Pale Citadel. Likely not being stopped by the Samurai given the Kage's genjutsu and the lack of forces that remained. As the snow rained down on the twins, fear both gripped them suddenly and rapidly. For a moment, this fear seemed intangible to any solid object, person, or thing. Until their fear of one of them dying popped into existence. Seo would once again combine with her brother. 'Hotaru we have to be careful. I don't know why, but I have a bad feeling one of us is going to die.' Seo would say, her voice trembling even in their shared telepathy. 'I know. We'll be careful.' Hotaru responded, continuing his way towards the citadel.

If this is not blocked, the rest of the attack is successful. The user leaps into the air, hovering just above the target before delivering a mighty axe kick into their body. The foot remains planted in their body as they plummet to earth. Upon impact, the earth is torn apart into a twenty five foot crater that measures ten feet deep. This technique negates any endurance increases the target carries and can shatter bone. ● Elbow Bolt | Rank B | Simple (Boosted to S+ Rank) The user charges forward five feet per rank of the technique with a [1] point increase in speed per rank of the technique. The user extends their elbow outward as they reach the target, slicing into them with the joint. The sharp impact of the strike stuns the target, removing all agility increases when interacting with this technique.
Aiyume grimaced slightly when Yua shrieked, her ears hurt. The high pitch was not her friend. The Inuzuka could feel the body shift as she was prepared, her footing stayed wrong and by using chakra, it helped her not to slip on the ice. The Hyuuga around them seems to be handling their own pretty good so that wasn't a bad thing. The one behind Aiyume was close until Tsuta jumped up and bit on his arm, a bone-crushing sound could be heard. Tsuta always got Aiyume's back. Aiyume growled towards the Hyuuga that said that they were going to arrest Yua and they were under Lord Hyuuga's orders to do so. "OH YEAAAA?!? WELL! TELL HIM TO BITE ME," Aiyume snarled, her canines flashing angrily as she was doing all she can to keep her grip on Yua. "Let him go." Tsuta released her jaws from the Hyuuga as she still growled and barked vicariously towards them. Loud noises appeared as Aiyume cringed, her face buried into Yua's shoulder as she was gritting her teeth from the pain. Why did everything have to be so loud? As she felt Yua's muscles relaxed and was no longer tense, she removed Yua. "Hey. You're okay." Her hand was gripping Yua's arm in a reassuring way. Hotaru arrived on time as he picked her up. "Come on, Tsuta." Both of them were glaring at the Hyuuga guards with a huge 'fight me' vibe. A sudden wash of fear hit them as Aiyume whimpered and picked up Tsuta who yelped in surprise as she was holding Tsuta like a little kid with a massive stuffed animal. Tsuta didn't look comfortable at all. Aiyume gave kisses on Tsuta's forehead as they walked behind Hotaru. She realized something as she quickly sped up to Hotaru and grabbed his arm after releasing Tsuta who landed onto the earth below with a bit of a thunk. "No. Let's go back to Arashigakure..."

▱▰▱The massive cannons from the Pale Citadel and Kenshin's bolts of lightning massacred the bulk of the samurai forces. The lightning sage cleared the middle of the forces while the cannons destroyed the soldiers in the back. Most of the forces and their siege weapons were laid asunder.
The remaining forces in the front of the army were cloaked in a dark haze. Ika-yami supplied a massive amount of ink while Charybdis soared. The samurai were completely confused and frightened as they tried to walk through the darkness successfully but to no avail.
As the samurai troops felt lost in the black void they heard Toso's voice piercing through it. His words were enticing as many lost hope after seeing the death of their general and the destruction of the bulk of their brothers and sisters in arms behind them. Suddenly, the yokai heard "the call" from the golden dragon telling them that they could go home and were no longer under their control. Masses of yokai abandoned the battlefield and returned home. Most of the yokai brigades were still alive because of the tactical targeting of Kenshin's lightning and the Citadel's cannons.
Nami's genjutsu of rats that were replaced by an illusion of snowing pearly white crystals caused the archers to stop feeling pain and instead fear. They began retreating and running out of the area prematurely which made the samurai officers feel even more crestfallen.
Suga's light armor caused multiple of the tengu that were attacking her to be stunned and blasted away by the technique. A ghostly weapon destroyed another tengu. After that several heavenly spears of light were used to kill dozens of yokai. However, many of the survivors began running away.
Many wounded imperial lightning troops and Hyuuga citadel guards were brought into the walls by the medics. Several were healed by iryojutsu-enhanced pieces of paper provided by Rieyar.
Hotaru's heavenly palm rotation allowed her to blast away all of the samurai who attempted to make contact with her. They were quickly neutralized by this and no longer a concern as they were knocked unconscious. Meanwhile, the ice blades were stopped by Seo's lightning armor and he was able to preserve himself. When one of the Hyuuga guards made contact with Yua she clearly felt pain but her chakra was completely locked down and prevented her from releasing any more harmful ice attacks, intentionally or otherwise. When Tsuta attempted to bite the other guard, he swiftly swatted at the canine's nose not to cause significant harm but to temporarily stun the hound. "You forget that we're the reason you're not an icicle..." The other Hyuuga guard responded to Aiyume's provocations. The Hyuuga guards would then escort Yua back to the citadel along with Seo.
When the samurai officers received the order from the new shogun to retreat they did so without hesitation. Less than one-fifth of the original forces even survived while the rest perished. They ran back and down the mountainous roads to swiftly return to the Iron Country.

Slightly less climactic than expected. Rieyar nonetheless took it upon themselves to venture out to tend to the field of battle. It wasn't their first time in this situation, but this certainly took the prize in terms of scale. Paper wings carried the child out to the fore of the field, landing next to the jinchuriki woman. The nature of the person they stood next to was clearly not information Rieyar presently picked up on, considering they snapped and a slip of paper with the word "Massage" emblazoned upon it appeared. "This will help." They said as they placed it on the obviously disoriented woman's back without bothering to ask. It would help relax her, and provide some sort of counter sensory input to combat the shock, but the medic possessed little in the way of truly manipulative medical techniques coming from civilian service. In reality, this was about all Rieyar could do aside from getting here quickly. They had come to train under proper field medical shinobi, whose skill undoubtedly outmatched them. This was also not a fight that lent itself to minor injuries. It was better if they simply waited for triage to be set up and assisted in first aid. A hand summoned paper from their form, and a copy of the child set about bandaging until it depleted its form.

▱▰▱The Lord Commander appeared in a crackle of lightning before the Temple of Evergreen. Kenshin had ensured the construction of a rather large temple for his patron goddess. This temple also had an area for the lightning ninshu sect that he was just as devoted to. The grand templar opened the doors and entered quietly to find his place before the altar. The human sage inhaled and exhaled deeply and with an acute focus on the natural energy around him. He gathered the natural energy and felt it in his breath but not so much as to generate sage mode. It was typical for him to feel his soul awash with calm during his prayer and meditation daily rituals but at the moment he felt deeply unsettled. It was difficult to discern why he felt tension building up in him. It was a type of insecurity like there was a looming threat despite being seated in a peaceful temple in the center of the most massive and secure fort imaginable, the Pale Citadel. Kenshin breathed out and retrieved the rosary pendant that was hidden under his collar. The prayer beads held the gem that Evergreen herself gave to Kenshin to use to summon her whenever he may have need of her. The champion was reluctant to use it so he only applied a small amount of his sage chakra to it to give her the option of appearing before him should she have need. He suspected that no others in the temple would see her apparition if she did not will it but he was still not overly eager to call upon her. Especially since he was so uncertain about why he was feeling the natural disturbance that he felt so oddly compelled to inquire about.

Smiting Blade of the Night Watch [ Naitō Otchi no Sumittinguburēdo ] | Rank X | Bukijutsu [ Lightning ] | Spiritual When this technique is activated it crackles violently with night blue lightning for the entire duration. The electricity from the blade also forms bolts of lightning over the body of the user and appears to supercharge them. Whenever the blade is swung or thrust over the duration the user can fire a concentrated blast of ten bolts of lightning to accompany the strike equal to the rank applied but for only half the cost to initiate the technique. Hatake, Raiu, and Sage enhanced lightning can pass through the blade and apply to these lightning bolts. The bolts cause a thunderously deafening sonic boom and can inflict tier 2 burns upon direct contact with the lightning. Additionally, these lightning bolts can be freely applied to all complex bukijutsu for no action cost to smite enemies. The only action cost is when the technique is activated and all subsidiary abilities of the technique do not consume actions and only chakra. This ability can be used in both forms of Getsuruito.
Draconic Sabre of Moon Sundering [ Getsu Sandaringu no Dorakonikku Seibā ] | Rank X | Bukijutsu [ Lightning ] | Complex This is the original ability of the ancient Getsuruito blade and thus requires the original katana form. 5 chakra can be spent to transform the blade to its original form upon activation of this technique. Crackling and thunderous dark blue lightning can be applied to the katana's edge at any rank and the same lightning can form a dragon head formed from electricity over the body of the user for 10 posts. This allows all spiritual techniques the sword comes into contact with to be slashed through and even cut in half at the same rank despite the complex nature of the technique. For half of the original cost to activate the technique a same-rank spiritual electrical energy slash can be sent out from the slash of the blade. This same cost can be applied to any complex bukijutsu to achieve the same effect. The original 10 post activation of this ability consumes an action but all subsidiary abilities do not.
Kenshin's silent prayers were met with the blossoming of vibrant flowers. They surrounded the templar's feet and their aroma was quickly intoxicating. Kenshin's faith often gave him privileges few others had, as he was one of the chosen children of the mother of all. However, even with the bead in his hands which called upon her, the length of time it took for her to materialize was longer than Kenshin was accustomed to. Finally, in what felt like an eternity but in actuality was only a few minutes, the goddess herself emerged from the visage of a statue that was made in her honor. As she materialized, Kenshin would note the bruises and rips in her usually pristine clothing.
"I am glad you have summoned me, my child." She said through elevated breathing as she grasped at her chest. The level of dishevelment she appeared with was way beyond the boundaries of anything Kenshin has seen.

The dutiful knight templar kept his head down as he rested his right hand on the hilt of his rapier. "I am listening, Mother of All." Kenshin spoke firmly but respectfully and hesitated in asking questions. He realized that it was not his place to make such inquiries despite his concern about Evergreen's condition. He was uncertain how it was possible that a celestial being such as her could be in such a condition but he was prepared to serve in any capacity possible.

Smiting Blade of the Night Watch [ Naitō Otchi no Sumittinguburēdo ] | Rank X | Bukijutsu [ Lightning ] | Spiritual When this technique is activated it crackles violently with night blue lightning for the entire duration. The electricity from the blade also forms bolts of lightning over the body of the user and appears to supercharge them. Whenever the blade is swung or thrust over the duration the user can fire a concentrated blast of ten bolts of lightning to accompany the strike equal to the rank applied but for only half the cost to initiate the technique. Hatake, Raiu, and Sage enhanced lightning can pass through the blade and apply to these lightning bolts. The bolts cause a thunderously deafening sonic boom and can inflict tier 2 burns upon direct contact with the lightning. Additionally, these lightning bolts can be freely applied to all complex bukijutsu for no action cost to smite enemies. The only action cost is when the technique is activated and all subsidiary abilities of the technique do not consume actions and only chakra. This ability can be used in both forms of Getsuruito.
Draconic Sabre of Moon Sundering [ Getsu Sandaringu no Dorakonikku Seibā ] | Rank X | Bukijutsu [ Lightning ] | Complex This is the original ability of the ancient Getsuruito blade and thus requires the original katana form. 5 chakra can be spent to transform the blade to its original form upon activation of this technique. Crackling and thunderous dark blue lightning can be applied to the katana's edge at any rank and the same lightning can form a dragon head formed from electricity over the body of the user for 10 posts. This allows all spiritual techniques the sword comes into contact with to be slashed through and even cut in half at the same rank despite the complex nature of the technique. For half of the original cost to activate the technique a same-rank spiritual electrical energy slash can be sent out from the slash of the blade. This same cost can be applied to any complex bukijutsu to achieve the same effect. The original 10 post activation of this ability consumes an action but all subsidiary abilities do not.
Kenshin's words were as dutiful as ever. With the purity of his faith, Evergreen was relieved that at least one of her followers actually cared for her well being. She needed that concern if she had any hope of persuading him into doing what needed to occur. The plethora of events felt overwhelming to deluge, but she thought of a place to begin the conversation.
"Belamos' father, the Sun God Utu, has been slain." She said. Her tone didn't denounce any form of sorrow, but anxiety still buzzed in her emerald eyes.
"The sun's descent into blackness was spurned by a sinister plot. Its perpetrator was none other than Sandayu's child, the black-hearted crow sage Satoshi." Evergreen's teeth gritted as her eyes narrowed away from Kenshin, staring with a glare so powerful it felt like it could melt stone. Her eyes softened as she returned to Kenshin, and a fatigued smile crossed her face.
"Although Utu's death has strengthened me, it too has strengthened Jashin. Even now he attempts to pry through my barriers and bring his entropic demise to the entirety of our realm." Evergreen shook her head and took a moment to compose herself.
"I will do what I can to keep him at bay. With his strength on the rise, I require a favor from you." She gave a light chuckle as she realized that she was the one summoned, not vice versa.
"I apologize. You must have summoned me for some sort of favor or inquiry. I will listen to your concerns as well, my child, but I need more than ever for you to perform this task."
Evergreen took a moment to compose herself. Although a huge part of her weakened display was for theatrics, especially because she wanted to persuade Kenshin to follow through with her wants versus whatever Kenshin needed from her, there was an absolute truth to that which she has said. She was exhausted from the constant barrage of necrotic evil that was Jashin and his assaults. She wanted nothing more than for things to return to their status quo, even if that did mean having to share her domain with that useless, ugly sun god.
"I recall you being familiar with the eight tailed demon. I even know that it was you who once bested it in combat." She said with renewed eye contact which transcribed a sense of importance and pride. "Do you recall where that demon has disappeared to since your clash with it?" She asked.

▱▰▱As Kenshin bowed his head he recalled the blackening of the Sun. He was forced to look up when he was told that a god was slain. His mind immediately filled with questions as he looked up at Evergreen's face and did what he could to discern meaning from the goddess's expressions. It had scarcely been a month since Kenshin had to fend off the samurai invasion into the Lightning Country with the Pale Citadel's considerable fortifications and defenders. Just as he was able to stop holding his breath he was being called into the fray again. Even the unshakable sentinel became startled by the idea of Jashin entering Evergreen's realm. His arrival means the end times... Kenshin noted to himself mentally. He was well-versed in the Tome of the Mother, the holy text of Evergreen's faith, and it contained information on the other gods as well. Jashin's entire essence constituted decay itself whereas Evergreen's domain was the blossoming of life. Even death was encompassed in life's cycle just as much as birth but Jashin represented absolute oblivion, his hunger insatiable. "And without Utu, you're down an ally. Does this just leave you and Zelel against Jashin? Does O-Inari fight against the dark one?" Kenshin quickly recalled the details from the holy texts. He found the chaotic O-Inari difficult to understand. If Jashin were to consume all of creation then what would be left for the fox god? If Utu's death strengthened Evergreen and Jashin then did the others get stronger too? If Evergreen is down to one ally then she still loses ground to Jashin ultimately." The philosopher reasoned this as he ruminated on the subject further before quickly trying to get a handle on the other issues. It was becoming difficult for him to discern whether he was reasoning internally or out loud at this point given the adrenaline pumping through him. He felt as if he was staring into an incoming all-consuming void as Evergreen spoke of this to him. "And you mentioned a crow sage killed Utu? How was that possible? I know of Satoshi Crow Eye only as an international criminal and rogue of Arashi." The sannin lacked specific knowledge on the crow sage. Like most others, he only knew vague details based on rumors of the pirate shinobi that traveled along the grapevine. Kenshin was interested in learning more, however, to safeguard Arashigakure and the Lightning Empire's security. Thus far the rogue had stayed far away from the borders of his jurisdiction but it was opaque to predict such a chaotic figure especially if he was capable of killing a god. "Today I meditated on the natural energy and knew that something was wrong. I suspect my question about that is related to what you're telling me." The grand templar wanted to put Evergreen's mind at ease that he likely had no individual concerns given that he sensed these disturbances as well. When Evergreen mentioned the hachibi he nodded before giving a humble response. "I helped. The hachibi's yin and yang chakra was divided in a sealing array between the twin Arashikages at the time. I assumed it remained with them when they disappeared?" Kenshin briefly recalled slicing off the horn of the hachibi with his blade while it rampaged through the Land of Floods all those years ago. If the demon disappeared then this was another immensely powerful being that could threaten the safety of the empire. "What duty do you require of me? May your will be done, Mother of All." This was Kenshin's final question for this moment as his mind continued racing over all of the possibilities.

Evergreen's face remained passive as O-Inari was mentioned. That youthful deity was too sporadic to be relied upon in order to assist in defeating Jashin, but to be too sacrilegious to another faith would break the character she had built for herself. It is for that reason her eyes became sorrowful as she said, "O-Inari is a wise soul, but in his youth he has not chosen which side of fate he chooses to stand with. And even if he could be relied upon, his followers do not provide him enough power to stand against the forces of Jashin."
Evergreen's face turned cold as Kenshin inquired further about Satoshi. It did not go unnoticed that Satoshi was her grandchild, and in fact the wild child called for damnation on her part to stop him from his quest. Unfortunately, her powers of enlightened probability educated her on what Satoshi's purpose was in the future. It was for this reason that she chose delicately what words to use with Kenshin.
"Satoshi's methods are draped in mystery, and his burden is not for you to bear. He needs intervention from his adoptive father; the arashikage Tosokurui Ashi Hojo. You may request for him to deal with that faithless child. Your mission is much more dire."
Of course Kenshin relayed his experience with the Hachibi, which Evergreen knew already. After all the goddess has had her eye on the Hyuga hero for quite some time. When Kenshin asked what she needed of him, her face reflected a sense of pain.
"As you can surmise, my appearance as changed since the last time you have summoned me. This is because I was murdered by a dastardly prophet of my faith, a tiger god by the name of Byakko. He stole my powers over the storm kekkei genkai, and caused untold havoc in the land of Konoha; which I graciously provided to the hokage Lalhil. Now he harbors the demonic force of the eight tails, and I need you to hunt him down and tame that demon."
Evergreen took a pause to allow Kenshin to comprehend what has been spoken. What was about to come next was going to alter the young man's world, and this knowledge was not commonly known. She had no intention of breaking this truth, since it could fundamentally change the world of ninja. But she had no choice but to tell her most faithful disciple the truth.
"The forces of chakra you know of, the ones which take those monstrous, demonic forces, are remnants of the chakra Jashin inflicted upon this world. These nine entities have been like a cancer to me, as they fester in my soul with no manner of which I have been able to dismantle. I originally had a spell, a form of power before ninjutsu was crafted, which would allow me to banish a demon once and for all. Unfortunately, my plans failed, but through failure I have perchance found one more chance to purge the world of Jashin's taint. In order to test this, I need to have a faithful follower of mine take in the influence of a demon. And that is why I require you to hunt down Byakko, take his demon from him, and use your faith in me to purify the demon once and for all."
