[Snagem's Watts: 325] (In-Character everyone can see this number via Challenger's Band)

(2/5 Dens remain.)

(Participants here: Sundaria, Cera, Lillie)

Lillie would pick up another den in this area while the other Snagems were busy, meaning she was already halfway there! Skipping off happily with Clefairy by her side, pleasantly surprised by how easy this was going the girl would soon fall over completely limp, blacked out. She didn't even see what hit her but something did. Clefairy spun around in horror as her trainer dropped and saw the assailant, the little fairy letting out a Hyper Voice in a panic, the sound easily heard by Sundaria and Cera but it was the Solgaleo hybrid who would know who was in that direction. She felt exactly the same as the Lillie she once knew, after all.

By the time they got there they would find a member of Team Sinnoh, a Channeler with a Bronzor floating around in front of it. It looked like the Bronzor was just about to finish off Clefairy with a Flash Cannon, who was down on its knees by her unconscious trainer, take Lillie out of the tournament and claim their watts. By the time the Snagems showed up the Channeler would scowl and reveal the nature of her abilities as with a wave of her hand a wall of Steel energy appeared between the Snagems and her, hoping to delay them long enough.

[Fields of Honor]

(6/6 Dens remain)

(Participants here: Deolux, Brian, Odd)

The strange Channeler and his equally strange Pokemon just stood still in ominous silence as Odd's attack passed through the Channeler without any effect what so ever. The Channeler turned his head to spot Deo and Brian running away and as if speaking to his 'Pokemon' by some unknown means the strange Pokemon fired off a Tri Attack precisely where they would eventually be. The fire orb exploded in front of them while the ice one frozen the ground behind them for when they jumped back and finally the electric one would intend to give one of them a shock, whoever got caught in it.

Whichever of the two that was fortunate enough not to get caught in the zap would notice an active den just a few yards away from them, a purple pillar of light piercing the sky above it. There was a Gigantamax Pokemon inside there, powerful Pokemon, a creature they stood no chance against. But they didn't stand a chance against this Channeler either. But what if...

As for Odd the Channeler turned his attention to him, the display on his visor flashing a bit before he thrust his clinched fist down at his side which then turned into a semi-translucent claw that vaguely resembled a Gengar's hand but far more hooked, not helping Odd's hallucination. The Channeler would slowly approach Odd with the very obvious intent to skewer him with his new deadly appendage. Someone must help him.

(5/8 Dens remain.)

(Participants here: Freth, Beauregard)

Freth would spot the Alcremie hybrid from her airborne position, hiding behind a thicket just at the edge of the Forest of Focus, looking around in a panic as both of the flyer's disappeared. By sheer chance she looked up and spotted Freth. With a squeal she panicked and with a burst of Psychic ripped off and sent a thick tree branch flying straight for Freth as she fled into the forest, though with the Tailwind at her back Freth might just be the predator and the Alcremie hybrid her vulnerable prey. Freth could also spot a blue Roto-drone from her vantage point in the southern wetlands. Their team did have enough watts to use it. Choices to make.

As for 'Sparky' he would do just as Beau had assumed. He picked up one den and immediately spun off to go snatch up another, oblivious to Beau's machinations. The Vivillion hybrid would crash right into the spinning rodent, Beau likely getting a good shock but the Morpeko hybrid sent for an unintentional dizzying rolling backwards, bouncing on the ground a few times before coming to a stop. With his brains scrambled the hybrid sat back up straight and looked around, scowling at Beau for a moment before he spotted his target just between them. With a growl to himself he quickly got onto his feet and ran for the den, in the same process popping a berry into his mouth, chewing, and then spitting out a Seed Bomb at Beau, intending for the resulting explosion to hopefully distract him.

As she was getting fresh air, Freth finally found the hybrid. She might have not been that much of a fighter herself, but the support she could potentially provide could wreck havoc for any of the team, just as it nearly did to her. As she was about to make her move, she saw the branch the hybrid flung in perhaps a near panic. Freth swerved away from the makeshift projectile then dove back down, Beau's tailwind allowing her to pick up speed. Diving back down into the woods where the hybrid was trying to seek cover. As if a blue missile, she sped towards the hybrid, shifting herself in her approach and practically lunged out drop-kick style, trying to put this hybrid out of commission.

Seeing that the young one who saved him is in trouble, but also seeing that there is a purple pillar coming from another den, Deo who is wanting to help, had an idea of distracting the villain and getting them in an overpowered brawl. So now came the fun, Deo then ran up to the channeler from behind and gave him a big sucker punch from behind, then begins to run as fast as his Luxray hybrid form can, to the other den and then shouts at the channeler and that thing as a pokemon, "You want a fight, come over here and get it you monster and you abomination of a thing!"

Brian watched as Odd's attack phased right through the Channeler, not doing any damage to him. The attack the Channeler produced vaguely resembled a Gengar's claw, but it was far more hooked and wicked-looking. He knew they stood no chance against this trainer, but he couldn't just sit by and let Odd take the brunt of the attack. As he was about to move forward, however, he noticed Deo moving toward the Channeler, and Brian couldn't help wincing at the sucker punch the man received from behind as Deo ran past.

Seeing the active den the Luxray hybrid was heading for, he immediately picked up on what Deo was planning. If they could draw the enemy to the den, they might stand a chance of escaping relatively unharmed. He took off after Deo, hoping to draw the Channeler's attention to him. Should the Channeler follow, he would raise his Challenger's Band, activating the den and taking off as soon as he collected the 50 watts the den provided, hoping the Channeler would get caught in the confusion the Gigantamax Pokemon would cause.

Sundaria looked over to Cera, a full frown now showing on her face. “Something’s ticking at me. Something from a good long while back, at least for us- er, me, pardon. However, nothing’s pointing itself out as being from outside of this reality, if that’s what you meant. If there was someone here that arrived before we did, I can kind of tell by… well, different realities have a kind of… I suppose scent might be the best term? We don’t completely know myself, but it’s functionally similar to a feline or canine Pokemon’s scenting ability, I suppose,” she explained, shrugging. Anything she might have said after that point, however, would be cut off by the Hyper Voice, ears turning towards the direction of it. “That can get put off for now, though. Let’s go check out where that came from!” Sundaria would take off towards the direction where the sound came from, keeping Litten close to her chest as she ran.

When they arrived, the Solgaleo hybrid’s eyes narrowed as she took in the sight, with Lillie unconscious, and Clefairy about to be attacked. “This will not fly...” Sundaria gently put Cassidy on the ground, cracking her knuckles as the steel energy wall was put up. “Cassidy, I need you to use Ember on that Bronzor, please. Cera, could you make sure Lillie’s okay, please?” Hey eyes would linger briefly on the little mirror Pokemon before her attention would change back to the wall in front of them. Sundaria would wind her arm back as her fingers began to glow pink, the glow completely engulfing the digits and growing into daggers one could almost describe as canine looking teeth as she charged forward, slashing into the wall with Psychic Fangs to attempt to bring the wall down. Cassidy would lick his paw as he was set down, the Litten staring at his trainer as she charged the wall. As she attacked it, the cat finally decided to get moving, lazily hacking what seemed to be a couple fiery loogies at the Bronzor whenever the wall went down.

Odd would continue his spiral of fear, disbelief and, eventually, anger for a bit longer, the energy he sensed from this strange Channeler sending him deeper into his memories, warped by the guilt, shame and deep-seated fear of the one he was hallucinating was once again standing before him.

When the raid den was hit and the water collected from it, however, the surge of unusual but otherwise natural energies swelling up from within it overwhelmed that twisted, otherworldly energy for a moment, allowing him a moment to regain himself. In his flashback, he recalled how he had overcome Dull for a moment and how he had driven the beast of a hybrid away, finally. Once he his breathing slowed and he was able to focus on the present once more, he found that Brian and Deo were trying to escape once again and, with a clearer mind with which to process what he saw, he could tell this Channeler was not the same as Dull but he still couldn't tell how. Either way, that deadly claw coming toward him was not something he looked forward to dealing with so he he reached for his Artifact, only to find that Deo must not have picked it up when escaping with him.

"Damn!" He grunted to himself, thinking for a moment what options he had other than running. Obvious trying to push this person into that raid den was the best option but how to do so without being caught in it, themselves, was the real question. After a moment of thinking on it, he'd come to th conclusion that a force of nature was likely the best option and released Cadenza. "Use Ominous Wind!" He'd direct, pointing the Shedinja toward their attacker.

Cadenza's body visibly bobbed in place as it's halo moved from atop it's head to float in front of it's body and spun in place faster as faster before a powerful gale blew out from it's center point, filled to bursting with the energy of death howling within. Standing as far away as they were, they should be safe from the den's almost magnetic effect once the Pokemon inside became angry enough to fight, drawing those nearby inside. More importantly, this wind should be enough to push the Channeler and their Pokemon close enough to be caught in that pull.

Once it was done and, hopefully, the snagems managed to not be caught up in it, he would decided to go back for Wraith Harvest. He would need it to channel and that would almost be a necessity here.

The plan worked perfectly. The Channeler barely moved as Deo sucker punched him but stop in his tracks, slowly turning to face Deo he began his slow menacing approach with his strange Pokemon, that was until the Ominous Wind hit. Odd may not have thought too much about it in the moment but for some reason the Ominous Wind worked when his previous attack did not, in spite of the fact they were both forged out of Ghost energies. There was perhaps a clue in the fact that not only did the wind cause the man to stumble towards the den but it also whisked away the ghostly 'Gengar' claw he formed. It was something to ponder over later.

Having been lured to, and then blown towards, the raid den the Channeler nor his 'Pokemon' didn't have time to respond to what happened next. The Snagems would only see the results of their trick for a brief moment as two giant hands shot up out of the den and then two more as the creature inside prepared to pull its self up. That was all they saw though before the red energies of the Dynamax storm consumed the area around the den and denied them sight of the Pokemon to come, the Channeler and his creature now trapped inside to fight it.

With the weird Channeler taken care of, for now, and a cool 100 watts scored from the den, and the fact that they were relatively safe, things went pretty good for the Snagems. That said they should probably get far away from here, and fast. Looking out to sea they would spot a cluster of dens shining on an island out in the ocean, looking like tiny shimmering red dots on the horizon. Odd couldn't sense any life forces in that direction, besides numerous Water Pokemon, but that didn't guarantee there weren't any. However the dens still had watts and that was a good sign, furthermore having an ocean between them and...that, sounded like a good idea. Perhaps the Workout Sea wouldn't be too much of a 'workout' for them to get to that island. Were the trees moving on that island or was it just a mirage? Had to be a mirage...right?

Sparky would be receiving an interesting view as his chosen method of assault was spotted, acknowledged, and understood by its intended target. And it was extremely clear when the exact moment Beau reached understanding was as a grin began to stretch across his face and he sped up in anticipation. And he even began to sing a bit. "Glory, Glory, What a hell of a way to die~." The Vivillon hybrid belted out, passing by the Seed Bomb as it detonated behind him and sent him flying forward with some shrapnel damage and higher speed as he used his wings to maximize the surface area catching the pressure wave. Hopefully the creative interpretation of how to respond to an explosive being lobbed at him would be enough to reach the den before the Morpeko hybrid.

------

From the announcer booth, Aria would stare for a moment at the video and audio that was coming from the stream tracking Beau before throwing up her hands in exasperation. "Im sorry, did he just look at an explosive and respond by belting out a VIDEO TREND!?! And I thought I was the only member who knew what the hell social media was! Guess we can introduce quizzing contestants on their KlinkTot accounts as an interview question."

----

Back with Red Baron, he would be hard at work providing aerial support to Freth as she went for a direct approach assault on the Alcremie hybrid. Flying with the increased speed offered by his Tailwind, the Fletchinder would strafe around to the Alcermie's side before diving down towards the hybrid himself. As he began to gain speed from his high dive, his wings would begin to take on a metal sheen as he prepared to ram it with a Steel Wing attack.

"I..." Much as she tried to again, despite better judgement, Cera would end up letting herself trail off lest her brain implode by trying to think about multiple realities. It was rough enough keeping her mind wrapped around this one. The Hyper Voice would break her from any such attempt anyway, prompting her to rush off in that direction alongside Sundaria.

Upon hearing the request, she could already safely tell that Lille wouldn't be getting up for a bit, and she would've relayed as such if there was time between that and the steel wall came up. Unfortunately for the Steel Channeler, one of her newfound opponents was a Mew. Who could simply float over the wall and get to Lillie's side anyway. "Hi, so... this is the awkward moment where I mention I can just float and fly around and walls kind of don't work so well..." Keeping herself in front of Lillie to try and make it a little less certain the channeler could just take some watts for herself, a Pokeball would float next to her.

"How would you like a wager of double or nothing? Before your Bronzor over there gets smelted into a new chain."
PostPosted: Mon Jun 21, 2021 10:54 pm
Odd would breath a sigh of relief, as he returned to Brian and Deo with his Artifact in hand, clipping it back to his waist now. "Sorry..." He'd apologize a bit sheepishly, embarrassed by how he had suddenly lost his cool. "I... didn't realize I had so much to unpack..." He admitted, holding his head in his hand as it throbbed, the mental pain of the episode still present despite his attempts at brushing it off. He could sense no ill will across the water as he spotted the glimmering dots of raid dens on the island in the distance. "Looks like we can grab a few more dens all at once over there." He pointed out.

"I don't sense anything but wild Pokemon in the water between here and there so we should be safe to cross the sea for the time being. If either of you need a Pokemon to carry you, my Chatot should be able to carry one person." He stated as he released Cadenza from it's ball. "Cadenza, use Telekinesis to carry me across the water. We're going to head for that island in the distance, alright?" He told the Ghost-type."

He wouldn't even have a chance to move, however, before he spotted something else nearby. It appeared to be a roto-drone not too far off from where they were standing. It didn't have a beacon lit at the moment so he wondered if someone had beaten them to it until, not a moment later, the drone lit up, shooting a beam of light into the sky. "Not good!" He told himself as he rushed over to it, hitting the drone with his Challenger's Band almost as soon as the beacon had lit. He'd discover that it was a storage drone marked with a "2" once he did and realized he could withdraw another of his Pokemon now. He knew just which one to take out at this point as well. Scrolling through his options, he would find the automaton Pokemon and receive it's ball momentarily. "So good news. We'll have an easier time of this than expected." He announced as he released Dissonance from it's ball. "MY Golurk can carry all three of us at once." Recalling Cadenza to his ball, he'd climb into Dissonance's hands, leaving room for Brian and Deo as he explained to his massive Ghost-type where they were going. Once everyone had climbed aboard, the Automaton Pokemon would launch itself into the air along with the trio of passengers, aiming for the island that was soon to be not-so-distant.

((Final paragraph with the roto-drone approved by Sub.))

[Forest of Focus]

(2/5 Dens remain.)

(Participants here: Sundaria, Cera, Lillie)

"Huh?" The woman Channeler was completely taken aback by Cera's sudden appearance, that and the fact that she could talk. Before the Channeler had time to answer the Pokemon, let alone think about her offer, a certain cosmic cat decided to make its self known.

The apparent Steel Channeler jumped around and went wide eyed as Sundaria appeared and began to tear right through her wall construct. Before she could do anything to patch it up or stop Sundaria the wall was shattered as its entire structure was compromised. In that same moment, as chunks of the 'wall' were raining down and reverting back to energy, the little Litten took its shot and hit Bronzor with Ember, the Steel type ceasing its attack upon Clefairy and letting out a pained squealed as it rushed around in midair, smarting from that little bit of fire.

With the wall gone and Clefairy now hiding behind Cera as she gripped her unconscious trainer the Steel Channeler would look from Cera to Sundaria and back. "Hm...you're both powerful...very powerful." The Channeler deduced, how she came to this conclusion was anyone's guess but she wasn't wrong. "I'm interested in your offer, however...Bronzor? That one." The Channeler called out and pointed at Sundaria, the metal ring on her right pointer finger, one of five, giving off a steely glow.

Upon command Bronzor would finally get its self together and turn around to face its back at Sundaria, the sunlight bouncing off its now incredibly smooth and shiny back. For Cera nothing seemed to happen, just a briefly glowing ring and a Bronzor turning its back on Sundaria. The Solgaleo hybrid however saw a bright flash of white light come from the back and then her own reflection. What at first was just her face, all that could fit in the tiny 'mirror' then became an entire person, another her. No one but Sundaria would know that what she was staring at was her true self, everything good or bad about her. Every trauma, regret, repressed feeling, the truth was now staring her in the face. How would her 'true self' greet her?

"Your friend is probably occupied right now, but don't worry, I'm not hurting her or anything. Just giving her some free therapy I guess you could call it. So, what's this about double or nothing?" She asked, releasing a Skarmory for her own emphasis.

-----

[Soothing Wetlands]

(4/8 Dens remain.)

(Participants here: Freth, Beauregard)

The Alcremie hybrid let out a scream as she noticed the branch missed and now a Fletchinder was coming down at her. She began to flail her arms around, almost cartoonishly, spinning around to dodge the incoming Fletchinder but alas the second bird was a different story, she didn't even have time to see Freth's movement thanks to Fletchinder. Freth came down from the heavens with fury and with one swift kick knocked the Alcremie hybrid out cold. For once it was that easy, just one good hit took this annoying hybrid down for once. Now vulnerable Freth could take her Challenger's Band to the hybrid's and see how many watts she could steal from Team Galar. When and if she did she'd note Team Snagem gained 85 Watts. Now what was Beau up to?

Beau's plan worked perfectly, he got to the den well before the Morpeko hybrid and scored for Team Snagem another 50 watts. Stopping dead in his tracks once he saw Beau beat him to it the Morpeko hybrid glared at the Bug hybrid, shooting daggers at him with his eyes. Holding his breath in anger for a bit the hybrid would then let out an angry scream and began to stomp his feet, ranting and raving over how it wasn't 'fair'. As he had his tantrum the hybrid began to turn purple and black.

Finally calming down long enough to glare at Beau again the butterfly man would note that the Morpeko hybrid's eyes were now completely red and a foul feeling force was coming from it now. It was very clear this guy was angry, extremely angry, and somehow it manifested physically.

"Not faaaiiir!" He screamed before pulling off its little wheel move again but this time he became completely cloaked in dark energy and its movements purposeful and while the hybrid wasn't 'stronger' its anger was making it more uninhibited and focused on its goal; hurting Beau.
PostPosted: Tue Jun 22, 2021 5:42 pm
Freth came for a landing, seeing her immediate handiwork. She walked over, taking note to the Alcremie Hybrid then started to search her, finding her Challenge band and took the watts. She really wasn't much of a fighter, wasn't she? Though, she did apparently rack up 85 watts within the first few minutes of this whole ordeal. Probably some she snuck out with somehow from a Pokemon...or tried to suffocate with her Sweet Scent and stole that way from another trainer. Either way, she was done this tournament lest she'd want another blow like she'd just taken. She was outclassed, having to face those with greater power and experience. The fact that she made it this long was nothing shy of a miracle, Freth figured, avoiding the full wrath of Snagems or just any other team for that matter.

With the watts collected, she made her way off, she still had dens to lay claim to while she still could. Perhaps she could get a couple of extra just to give the team that added boost overall before she decides to play it safe and call it a day. She couldn't get too greedy with this.

The galactic cat hybrid would flick her ears as the channeller pointed out, rather correctly, that the both of them were powerful. Sundaria would give the edge to Cera on the basis that she had multiple Pokemon with her, probably all doing pretty well, while Sundaria only had a borrowed Litten that might have been haphazard with listening to her. Or giving much of a care in general. It was hard for the hybrid to discern much about the fire cat at this moment. When the bright light erupted from the back of the Bronzor, her eyes would narrow sharply, despite not having any proper eyes to protect, as hers were effectively light projections behind glass. To everyone else, they would only see the hybrid’s physical projection on the back if they looked, and Sundaria just stood there motionless. The only indication that something would be up with the hybrid would be a notable lack of her blue pupils, her eyes now just solid white circles floating within two light blue lopsided rectangles. Cassidy would look back and forth between his trainer and the not shiny mirror before yawning and curling up into a ball, appearing to take a cat nap.

For Sundaria, however, things were a bit different. Her physical face showed up as per reality, but said visage would morph and change as it grew to take on a full body. Her ears, normally small standard feline ears, similar to her Litten’s, would grow to a much larger proportion, and the unkempt hair underneath them would push out off the side of her head just a bit more, though the length of the hair would remain the same. The eyes would change from a light blue to a lavender color, though appearing very dim, and a deep crimson sun symbol would appear on her forehead. The body would mirror Sundaria’s, but with a couple of notable differences. First off, the clothes would be different, sporting a halter top that might have looked familiar to the Snagems, were they able to break into her hallucination, and a pair of loose cloth pants. Her tail would actually be visible here, a long white tail ending in a golden flat area and a rounded black half orb. However, the mirror’s copy would have a forked tail with two of these ends, instead of just the standard one. The final difference in bodies would be the scarring that appeared in various places on her lower left arm and her torso, almost like burn scars. They weren’t predominant everywhere in the visible areas, but it wasn’t unnoticable either. “Well well well, look who we have here,” the reflection quietly greeted, leaning back on an invisible wall.

“I… Who the heck are you? And why do you look like-”

“Like a hybrid of two different hybrids? Simple. What are you but a hybrid of two different hybrids? At least up here.” The image would point to her head for emphasis, a smirk appearing on her face. “Does that answer anything?”

Sundaria took a deep breath and put her fingers on her temple. “So, you’re saying that you’re supposed to be me?”

“In a sense,” the reflection chuckled. “I am everything you’ve been, experienced, and felt, whether you remember it or not. Accept that, and we can move on much faster.” The reflection would fiddle around with a spontaneous orb of light she created, her focus currently on that rather than Sundaria, just patiently waiting for the actual hybrid’s response.

"What, you've never heard a Psychic Pokemon talk in your mind before? It's easier doing this than hoping you understand a few dozen ways to say 'mew,'" Cera remarked, her eyes watching Lillie's Clefairy going to her for safety. She wouldn't be able to entirely notice what Bronzor did, other than Sundaria's pupils vanishing. She could feel... something. She thought. She sorely wanted to try and get a better visual, try and peer inside Sundaria's mind for a brief moment. Not only did she doubt the possibility of doing that, but hearing her remarks was enough to make her thing the something was a someone.

That, and she had a more pressing matter at the moment. "I meant exactly what I said. Either you get two peoples' watts or you get none," she commented, meeting the channeler's Skarmory with her Lapras emerging from the ball floating next to her. "Because I'll be taking yours." For added emphasis, she'd take a spot next to Lapras, both to better protect Lillie's Clefairy and in case the channeler had any other tricks up her sleeve.

Over at the Soothing Wetlands, Beau would suddenly hear footsteps racing in his general direction before a Dodrio would leap into the air, Amaranth on his back and keeping the hammer artifact in hand in case she needed to smack anyone away with it. "Swift, Jump Kick!" She called, bracing herself for the impending dive kick and potentially ensuing double attack between her and the Morpeko hybrid.

Seeing that the Human that was having a flash back now helping out and offering a ride for the two of them, he was more thankful than anything. "Thank You, name's Deo by the way!" He said as the human not only gave his life to spare him from a fate worse than death, but earned the respect of Deo at the same time. As he climbed into the area the big pokemon left for him, he noticed something was strange about this human, as if it was a spooky feeling. "Are you somehow related to being a ghost type?" He said as he thought, bluntly as possible too...
