I use mechanical pencils to sketch, which I know isn't ideal, but I can't stand dull pencils, and constantly sharpening stuff is quite annoying.
I've got some micron pens for outlining, but I don't like them much. I've been wanting to get some Copic multiliners, but the art store here doesn't have them. crying Next time I go to buy supplies I'm going to try a different brand, not sure what yet though.
Coloring I use markers. I have some Prisma and some Copic. (I started buying Prisma because I'm poor, but I was convinced to try Copic and now I'm hooked!) The Copic are soooo pretty. I use them as much as I can, but since I only have a few colors my drawings start to look a little boring if I do that too much. ^_^

Is it normal not to find hardly any of this stuff in the shops? Well... I have paper...It's like...that old printing paper used for those old computers. Or I could just get normal A4 paper. Is that ok? There are also hardly ANY good drawing pens. I have about 4. One to do large black areas. I don't even know what a 'Screentone' is... And no I don't live in a Third World country gonk Is all this normal?

I use regular copy paper, Sakura Micron 01z, Copic Sketch (I own only 55), watercolor (for mixed media), and .05 mechanical pencils. I use MonAmi leads.

I use Copic outliners, Indian ink, Prisma color colored pencils and Copic markers. Of course, the white out. xD
Copic markers are expensive though but i buy em off the internet, since obviously you won't find em in a shop near me. I think I have around 70. Got em fer Christmas and B-day.

I usally use 0.7 mechanical pencils ((not one of those cheap 20 in 1 bag ones )) since I don't have enough money to buy great art tools. I use any type of paper I can find easily. Haven't really dealt much with photoshop or that, takes really too much time but it does look good when finished right. When I do color I tend to copy my original work with scanner and print it out since I don't want to ruin the original copy, I usually colored pencil. As for paints I usually use Oil since its has a finer spread , more liquid-like stroke, since it looks alot better than aycrilic and its not really watery like water colors. I mostly use canvas for painting. as for your lolly pop question:It really depends on the tounge size, sliva, and how long the lick was Ishrie And I counted how many licks when I was in 3rd grade. X{D;; 445. This couldn't be accepted as positive unless you have alot retrials and have other people try it and get the same answer.

I have a 50+ set of prismacolors, I like them but I am open to Copic which I've heard has good points and bad points. As for pencils I have a Reeves set that my little sister gave me and they are THE BEST non-mechanical pencils out there. All the shades and the smoothness of the lines...ooooooooooh.

For pencils(colored) Id recommend sargent(dont know if still around).Sargent comes in so many shades its not funny. Here you can shadow,do important details and works like a mech(thought you do have to sharpen them).I was just going to see what i could find cause i needed a pencil so I found sargent mrgreen !

I recently recieved a large set of prisma colors for my birthday, (we had a cupon!) and they do work very well! I'd love to give tips to anyone for when they break lead, or how to keep them sharper, longer!

I'm always looking everywhere and I'm never able to find anything, I can't even find a tablet, or find photoshop that doesn't cost like $300 either crying Sometimes I hate living in Canada so much...
Jasuchin_Alchemist, I got some prisma pencil crayons and they break alot too, I can't help on the sharpening part but you could use the other part of the sharperner that the diameter is bigger and sharpen it there, the lead's shorter so there's less pressure pressing on the lead outside of the wood so it breaks less. I remembered reading something about using a electric sharperner on the box, but I just don't feel like going to get one. sweatdrop
