"Who are you going to meet Sylin? Heegh or someone else? I just took you into one of the angel's training rooms. Do you think an evil demon is going to be able to even observe down here? No, the energies of this place will block them out completely. You are a demon from hell, but I can't say that I know what you really look like other than I know you're not a Xenums. I know you plan to get back Adira for Heegh and I know you're only going to do this because your friends are in trouble and may be worse off otherwise. I figured all this out with your reaction to Dieamos. And yet knowing all this I still showed you this gun which affects magic energy users that I may still let you try and I still shot Jacob (she probably pronounces it like Ya'akov normally only with a b at the end) Merak and my husband right in front of you. Let me tell you the biggest secret that even Lucifer probably didn't wan't anyone to know: God will eventually gather all His children from everywhere in existance and destroy evil. After that happens the old world shall be forgotten and every tear shall be wiped from His children's eyes. You can even ask good ol' Danny that."

Enter from stage right Dieamos.
PostPosted: Thu Jan 14, 2010 3:45 am

Sylin's jaw dropped slightly for a moment, but he closed it a short while later. He had a sort of shocked/surprised expression stuck on his face the entire time. She knew, most of the time she knew, and she still made herself and her allies vulnerable to him. He chewed his lip a bit, as he struggled to come to terms with what this meant. He failed his mission, obviously. So what could he do? Go back and be tortured, not being able to do anything at all for those trapped? Dieamos entered at that point, looking Sylin straight in his eyes and saying his name.

"H-How do I know you're really Dieamos? You look nothing like... oh... oh Hells. You are... old friend, you are Dieamos. Nothing else can take that form, and with those beings that dwell within you...

Dieamos had taken his original shape and form, save for the increase in size.... the shadow goblins were even visible in a shrunken size, some coming out to their full measurements as they took to the air and circled around the group like birds. Gruesome birds, but more birdlike than threatening demons in their mannerisims.

"Have I done wrong? They'll suffer if I don't do my appointed tasks, and yet... knowing more for certain that I do now, I can't possibly continue on..."

Dieamos: "It is as Rosemary says. They will suffer, but that can not be helped. And it will only be temporarily. God will not give us so much that we can not withstand, no matter what the monster Heegh has told you. It still pains me that I had to leave people like you behind in Hell, but think on this... would you want me to stay imprisoned for your sake?"

"No, no I would not. You've been the only one to show me the greatest kindness in all of Hell."

Dieamos: "Then think on what the others would have you do. What they wanted me to do, even if it tore my heart out. Would you deny them their true wishes?"

"Undeniable proof of God exists here in this land, I've seen it. Is He truly so powerful that..."

Dieamos: "Yes. He is. Who do you think allowed me and thousands of others to leave the confines of hell once they've converted. Jacob here might have seem to do most of the work, but it was through God's will that he done it. Think! So many times, he should have been captured, over and over, and entrapped in Hell's depths, but he's always managed to escape and lead so many to freedom. That is not coincidence. That is miracle. So I ask you Sylin, you have a choice now before you. What will you choose?"

Sylin looked down for a moment, fists clenched. He then reached into his ear, and tored out a sickly, long looking black and red slug from inside his head and squashed it under foot, the thing smoking and squealing as it died. His true thoughts were finally revealed.... as was his physical form. Dressed in red military bulletproof metallic armor with black cloth, Sylin stood nearly 6 foot in height, with just a little bit of help from his horns that jutted out of the side of his head. He was mostly humanoid, save for his blueish-green grey flesh, and the very unusual face he had.... pointed ears, and three large eyeballs that rotated, switching to a dominant eye depending on what range he needed to see at. This was the natural part of his talent as a deadly marksman, he was created for it. He wore a belt full of ammunition and pouches along his waist, and over his shoulder.... a strange sidearm along his hip, with a shortened shotgun of some manner on the other side... There was a rather deadly looking rifle strapped to his back, and all three had skeletal markings and etchings that looked demonic. The lower half of his face was hidden behind what looked like a metallic mask with vents and odd markings. Etched on one of his chestplates were kill marks, a scratch for every kill. They were very miniscule, and numerous.

As he spoke, his voice was gravelly and slightly raspy, but intermingled with his original voice... as if it were a pair or more of voices speaking at once, with a hollow metallic twang to it.

"I've decided... that I can not stand Heegh's filth and lies any longer. It was difficult enough with Lucifer, but now with a warmonger in the throne of Hell, it's unbearable. I ask for forgiveness in my attempts to go behind your backs and stab you all, and in an attempt to make amends, to allow me to serve as an ally, for Heegh will surely make retribution once he learns of this. He has had hounds of hell, similar to what I assume are Adira's in all except nature and behavior, following my every move, except for following me in here. They couldn't withstand such a holy place, their minds so full of ill-intent. And Mister Merak... if you could please do something about these horridly blasted hell chains on my person, I would be eternally grateful."

Sylin brought the chains that bound him to Hell into view, the glowing red links attached to his wrists only. It seemed Heegh wasn't exactly expecting Sylin to betray him. Jacob drank another vial of energy potion, feeling much better by this point and time, and moved forward to break the chains.

"I think it should be okay." Adira answered, blushing immediately at Eztli's comment, Adira knew on some level that she was pretty, perhaps even beautiful, however on an internal level, Adira didn't know. She constantly thought others judged her. "I--I thank you." She and Eztli took their positions and started dancing.

Adira shuddered into Eztli's chest as she felt the sudden mood shift in the room. There was Eztli's nervousness (That wasn't new), and some where there was...was that despair? Something untold moved underneath it all. Although Adira was not a telepathic individual, she still sensed when some secret lingered.

Adira looked cautiously around before her eyes rested on her hounds. Ban nipped lightly at Phe to get her attention. Keep your eyes open. Someone's holding a secret...there was also a feeling of despair. The hounds nodded and took off at a stroll.

The dogs noticed the stranger in the room talking with a few people. Banquo's ears perked, catching some of the words. As the man (Sylin), Rosemary and the others left the room, Ban and Phe followed. They followed up until the second room, where, unfortunately, the door closed as they were about to go in.

Phe scratched the door with a whine.
PostPosted: Sun Jan 17, 2010 1:59 am

"I never became angry even when I figured it out. God actually tries to teach us to live at peace with everyone even our enemies if possible. Maybe I've improved."

"One of my favorite quotes recently is something like Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Love must be sincere. Help God's people who are in need. Practice hospitality. Be faithful in prayer.

"Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn.... Do not be conceited.

"If it is possible live at peace with everyone. Do not repay anyone evil for evil.................. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody. Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God's wrath. On the contrary:
"If your enemy is hungry, feed him;
if he is thirsty, give him something to drink.
In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head." Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

"It's in the book of Romans chapter 12 if you want to look up the actual words. You're actually supposed to hate the evil things a person does and not the person. Jacob, Veni, and I need to work on some parts of all that."

She went to open the door for the whining dog she heard while Jacob approached Sylin to remove the chains and made the comment, "for someone fresh out of hell, you sure do know how to be cute." The creatures she ran into didn't have these cute habits so immediately.

"God has to be powerful enough to create the universe, so He is at least as powerful as the universe. Is even satan powerful enough to create the universe?"

Rosemary explained to the dogs what happened. She told them that she met Sylin the other day and that he apparently was a demon in disguise sent to spy on her and find out if Adira was with her. She also explained that since he wasn't sure if he wanted to do it or not he was able to get into the soul fortress. His ability to even get in here proves that he isn't such a bad person. Now he wants to help in anyway he can. "Sylin informed us that Heegh also more hounds of hell to gather Adira. You might want to tell me about them now so we're not completely surprised."

She suddenly looked at Sylin from the dogs as she had thought of something, "Sylin...now that that creature is gone, are you able to hide all that artillery? There are laws against being out in public with such things."

Hair on end, the Hounds listened. Phe was staring daggers into Sylin, heat rolling off her body in waves. Ban nudged her lightly and sniffed the air, cool in composure. Would Heegh never give up? Ban knew that they should have been prepared.

"The other hounds." Phe stated, an exhausted sigh left her body.
"Dangerous." Ban agreed, "Very dangerous."
"Stone...impurity...lightning."
"Looks as if our siblings are coming to visit." Ban's ears twitched, "We need a game plan."

Sylin grunted in a bit of pain as his chains were shattered, then sighed with relief at finally having the damnable things gone.

"You have a point, Veni. A Satan has great power, but it seems that Lucifer never truly fulfilled any of his plans to the proper extent that he wanted. Heegh seems to be struggling with great means, and he's exerting his power as much as possible. Both have two very different methods, and neither seem powerful enough to overtake Creation, let alone to be able to create... or re-create."

Sylin noted the way Ophelia had stared at him, and seemed to hang his head just a little in shame.

"You have right to look at me in such a way, madam, especially since you are the guardian of the person I was making plans to steal away...

I can do something about the public exposure of my weaponry... Give me a moment. Since they're essentially a part of me..."

Seeming to focus for a moment, the weapons on his sides and back seemed to start to merge with the skin-flesh that melted outwards over their holsters, then pulled them into his body, the firearms seeming to also shrink as they sunk in, until they were no longer in sight.

Dieamos: "You can have the aide of this old Abomination Demon's strength and hordes, alongside with Sylin's ability with more modern weaponry and tactics. The best 'game plan' I can think of would be to simply return to THoR and wait, and best be on our guard. Perhaps we should also notify the authorities, since this time we have a chance to be ahead of Heegh's plans."

"That would be ideal. We could take shifts, day and night, so as not to be caught unprepared. I'm sure with what I have studied about Limbo's military forces so far, that they can play the part of stealth well enough so we appear not so well guarded. Maybe instead of a small army of soldiers, we can convince them to allow us an Elite or two. What little I know about them pegs those sorts as very powerful queens in a proverbial chess set."

- - - - -

As Eztli danced with Adira, he noticed her unease. He had sensed the same emotions around him, but since the building was full of people, it was overwhelmed for Eztli, and he hadn't been able to make out the despair too well.

He felt another blush wanting to come on when Adira seemed to lean into him and shudder a bit. However, he realized Adira was concerned about something when she started looking around the room... He was at least perceptive enough to know that she wasn't anxious about them dancing so much as it was something else that perhaps she felt as a threat. Clearing his throat slightly, he spoke.

"Is everything okay, Adira? You seem concerned about something... Are you sensing something that I'm not?"

He seemed to go on guard a bit, colorful glowing eyes glancing around them as they danced... he was trying to make out the threat that may exist, even though said "threat" had already went down to the lower levels with Rosemary, Jacob, and Veni and basically conversed over everything. Adira's hounds had followed, and he noted that they trailed to the same area that Rosemary had gone to a little bit ago.

"Phe if you don't stop making me think I'm going to be accidentally barbecued by you when I tell you something that you don't like, I'll start to only talk to Ban and have him tell you later." What they told her about their siblings wasn't very helpful other than the elements... Where's Inazuma when you need her? It might be interesting to have a lightning angel verses a lightning hell hound.

"What do you mean by impurity? What is impurity able to do?"

"Do you really think we have been lazy the past couple of weeks? Tsk tsk! The Elites were rather easy after Adira's kidnapping and we're waiting for a special charm to give Jacob his old face back. However if it's not ready by the time we leave one charm we got fashioned after Two Face from a certain comic book series will have to do. I'm still going to do a makeup job on him to the best of my ability in case the charm is knocked out somehow. Rosemary made several little contraptions that will slowly drip blood in key places for the same reason. It is also there for the uncertainty of how well either charm will put off Jacob's blood smell anyways."

While Veni said this, Rosemary continued her conversation with the dogs. After they explained what they meant by impurity, she continued. "There is something one of you could do for me that might be very useful. I have this gun that has a Magic Energy Removal System. It would be nice to find out the effects it could possibly have on your siblings if one of you allowed me to shoot you with it. If it works, it will take away your elemental abilities for about 5 minutes and then afterwards you'll still feel drained but food and rest will soon make you feel better and you'll be in tip top shape. If it doesn't work at all or to a satisfying extent, I'll at least know to not bother with it. ... Actually... it would be even better if one of the shadow goblins would allow me to do the same test on them. Even cast one of their shadow balls at me when I'm ready so that I may shoot it and see if it dispels them too..."

Caught.

Adira's wandering eyes rested upon the fire angel once more. He was more perceptive than she first thought--not that she thought he was dim (No, she would never think that).

"I--well it could be nothing. I could be sensing something completely i-innocent. I--I mean..." She stuttered before clearing her throat, just as Eztli had done. "I sensed despair. Sudden fear. That was right before I sensed that someone was hiding something. I...I'm not telepathic but I can sort of sense when someone is holding something back. This "Something" in today's case is...big. Almost... I...Would Heegh send a hunter after me?" Her eyes were wide, "I mean....in all honesty... I didn't think myself to be so important to Heegh's grand scheme." Her voice was one octave above a whisper, and somewhere along the way, she leaned closer to Eztli unconsciously.

----
Dieamos...The name sounded familiar to the Hound guardians. Ban reviewed history.Right. Last of his kind. Hell.

Phe's body shuddered when she considered Rosemary's question about Impurity. "Impurity...Think Old Testament Bible. What God did to the Egyptians--scarabs, poisonous bugs. Poison...but something more." Another shudder ran up Phe's spine.
"Impurity coupled with cool apathy makes matters even more severe." Ban agreed, "The hound that holds this is perhaps the strongest. Maybe not in brute force but at least in surprise and calculation."

To Rosemary's next suggestion, the hounds looked a bit nervous.
"We will allow you to test your weaponry on us... but we must tell you...Our...abilities aren't necessarily magic. The reason I am the hound of Ice is because the fluid flowing through my body is, at the highest temperature, negative 20 degrees Fahrenheit. "

User ImagePhe nodded in agreement and added, "I run a constant 500 degrees. We can touch objects because these temperatures are our internal conditions. Our external is a different story. You see...the elements sort of run through us... without killing us. The water in my body does not boil; the water in Banquo's body does not freeze."

"Would you rather have me shoot one of them and not know that and quite possibly end up in a worse situation than to not at least know at all?" While she said this she named off the plagues of Egypt in her head. "Darkness that can be felt ..." Which was actually something Veni could kind of do, but not to the extent that God had it...and Rosemary could make it seem that way at night... "and... can Impurity really kill the first born son that easily?"
PostPosted: Tue Jan 19, 2010 11:26 pm

Upon hearing that Rosemary needed to test the weapon on a shadow goblin, one of the said creatures dived down and landed... it held up a long bony clawed hand and it became infused with dark blackish-purple flame, reshaping itself into that sphere of negative energies that caused temporary illness and mood depression.

Shadow Goblin: "Allow me to be of assistance!"

Once Rosemary was prepared, the demon swung up like a pitcher, then threw the discomforting sphere. Rosemary fired the weapon, and the anti-magic orb blasted into the sphere, dissipated it, and slammed into the goblin, knocking him onto his tail.

S. Goblin: "Mnnf... That thing has a kick!"

Sylin's hands itched just a little, wanting to try the new weapon before him, but he kept silent on the matter since serious subjects where on hand.

"So very interesting. It's good that you've already been working on ideas... I know a bit of Ophelia's and Banquo's kind. The other two have the elements of stone and lightning on their side. The electrical hound seems to be a bit mentally unsound."

- - - - -

Eztli gave Adira a comforting pat on her back as he continued to dance with her.... how long had they been dancing? Since even Rosemary and Galantros had been called and finished... not that he was complaining, no sir.

"Adira, if your instincts and gut feelings have kept you going thus far, you should trust them then. I'll send a thought message to Thas and have him boost up security around here, though if someone was here, there is nothing they can do inside the soul fortress.

I'm also... not going to lie to you. It's possible that Heegh may send someone after you, but we are NOT going to let them take you back. Heegh is.... possessive. To an extreme, I should know. He doesn't like to give up anything easily, even if it may set him back in other ways. But listen Adira... (I) We will protect you, you don't deserve to be in his clutches..."

Eztli's eyes were looking at her with a sort of protective intensity that quite possibly suggested more than just a guardian's task, though he wasn't aware of it. The more Adira noticed them about reapers, she seemed to notice that their eyes were almost gem-like in quality, glowing with brilliant colors. Eztli's golden eyes seem to flare beautifully for a few brief moments, before he seemed to finally calm, going back to their normal amount of glow.

...plus with the abilities of Adira's empathy, she could probably start to tell that his emotions weren't entirely professional about his job.

Adira stared into Eztli's eyes, bound by their intensity and glow. Adira had to keep herself from touching his face and pressing on her toes to look closer. Then they were normal again and their holding power finally released her. She let out a deep breath that she'd been holding unintentionally.

"Thank you very much." Adira responded with a quiet voice, she wasn't used to people caring. Ever. "I...I just...How do you know that I don't deserve to be in his clutches? I've...I...am a succubus. By nature we're supposed to...well, please forgive me for my ********>" She used this term as it seemed the only word that seemed to emphasize her point. Love just wasn't related to sex therefore "To make love" was wrong, "Sex" sounded too...normal. No. A Succubus was different.

----

"Impurity...My sister. Killed all but two of her liter mates--Sal and I. She didn't do it on purpose...her she was the third to the third pup to be born. I was first and Sal just narrowly escaped her venom. She killed our mother as well...right after she was born our mother leaked insects from her womb. No wonder Sal went insane. Our mother was killed right before he escaped." Phe sat, her warm eyes gazing at the ground. Her mate tried to comfort her. She shrugged him off.
PostPosted: Wed Jan 20, 2010 12:48 am

Eztli faintly blushed at her method of using the F word, but shook it off fairly quickly to his credit.

"I just... somehow know. It also helps that Jacob has good instincts about such things and that he was willing to help you. Had you any manner of ill intent, you would have acted by now, for there were a few times you've been outside of the Soul Fortress. I..."

He struggled with words for a moment, trying not to fully say what he thought. That someone was delicate and beautiful as her shouldn't be in a horrid Satan's grasp. That.. that...

"Besides, I barely know anybody that deserves THAT sort of torment, and from what I've observed of you, you don't seem the sort. Also as well, that just because you are of a certain sort of being that are expected to follow a stereotype, doesn't mean you HAVE to follow those stereotypes. Galantros. Maybe you've noticed that he's half demon, incubus to be exact. Yet he doesn't act the way most incubi would, he's in fact rather shy, especially with such matters. I believe the worst he's ever really done was cuddle that girlfriend of his.

Thas was demonic at one time. Look at him now, he's a higher ranking angelic.

Aren't vampires expected to be completely dark and bloodthirsty? Rosemary and Veni have been rather kind and caring about you and your situation.

I could go on, but that would take forever... Do you see what I'm trying to explain here?"

- - - - - -

Meanwhile, acting on a thought sent by Eztli, Thas and several angels went towards where Rosemary, Sylin, and others had gone to... Opening up the door to the training room where he suspected they where, they came upon the groups little meeting. He also noticed a new demon that was only slightly familar to Thas back in his Hell days.

"Well.... I take it there's some interesting proceedings going on here? Especially with what I remember as an angelic slayer, gun-slinging demon?"

"Guilty... Though make that ex-angelic slayer..."

Rosemary set the butt of the gun on the ground having just fired a shadow goblin as Thas and several other angels came in that she didn't know. Sylin's itch to try the thing didn't go unnoticed either. "Angelic slayer? Interesting... He was spying on us, but he didn't seem to like his job. I told Danny about him because his reaction upon seeing him made me suspect something was off and Danny" Thinking to herself: Why Danny? It's the kid version of Dan and if you think about it the old one wants to use the younger version of the name and the young one prefers the more adult form... "asked me to try to help him, by enabling the two to talk without scaring him off which we obviously did."

For now at least she added in her head... it depended on if the angels scared him off now.

"And now he says he'll 'serve as an ally.' We found out from him that the Hell hounds of stone, lightning, and impurity or poisonous bugs are out there trying to get dear Adira back. Is there anyone else out there sent with you Sylin?"
PostPosted: Fri Jan 22, 2010 1:53 am

On the contrary it felt like Sylin had a great weight lifted off his shoulders now, and Rosemary could sense that from him. He knew he did so much wrong in his past, but now he was completely free to atone for it. And perhaps, with what all I did in the past was training for these sort of things... is it wrong to think in such a manner? Killing angelics as training to do good? It sounds perverse...

"No Rosemary, not that I know of. It's possible however, knowing how Heegh is trying to become more crafty in his ways to further imbue his anger and wrath."

"We'll have to be on guard as much as possible then for a while then. Adira seemed to have a feeling or premonition about you, Sylin. She sinced something wasn't quite true about you while you were still under guise. Eztli must have picked up on her unease or something similar, and had us dispatched to find out what was going on. I'll inform Eztli that for now, the situation is defused."

"If you could, sir, inform the dear girl that I apologize for my actions and intent."

- - - - - -

Eztli was just about to finish dancing with Adira finally (and sadly for him) when he got a response back from Thas. A look of relief came over his features and he seemed to smile a little bit.

"Adira, Thas just talked to me through my mind. He says the situation's alright. They found out that your suspicions were true, though the man that was actually a demon of Heegh's wasn't exactly doing what he was by choice. That was probably the secret you were sensing, along with the despair. Rosemary and a friend of hers, Dieamos (Adira more than likely has heard of this Abomination as well as the hounds) confronted him. Dieamos knew Sylin very well. He converted.

"We know this for certain because he admitted to it and if he still had any ill intent, which it seemed he barely had in the first place, he wouldn't be able to stay here. Thas also tells me that Sylin wishes to apologize for what he was about to do. You okay?"

(Up to you if Adira's also heard of Sylin, he also has a slight rep in Hell as an angelic slayer.)

Adira nodded her thanks to Eztli, "Did he grow up in hell?" She asked quietly, not really desiring a response. Demons could perhaps escape their true nature, Adira acknowledged this, But for how long?

The dance ended. Adira wandered, mind inattentive, around the room. Her hounds were still away.

Suddenly, Eztli was in front of her again, speaking to her about the matters she sensed before. Adira bristled at the two names Eztli gave her. Dieamos and Sylin. Why hadn't Sylin acted before now? He could kill angels, a succubus was nothing. Then there was the matter of Dieamos...He was still alive and thriving? She knew he left Hell but she though Heegh would have had him killed as well. When Heegh had you, he wanted you. Forever.

"I'm fine..." The girl sighed,
"Unfortunately he won't be. He needs to be guarded. Secured. I'm not sure if I trust his intent but if he is telling the truth...He is a dead man."
----

The hounds sat at attention, listening to what was going on, waiting until they were needed.
