Scarlet laughed "I see...did you accept his proposal?"

"No. I flatly refused. I haven't even met the girl," Nicholas said with a shrug.

She laughed again, "I see well then maybe when we meet her you'll change your mind...who knows..." She shrugged and let out a hushed sigh.

"To be truthful, I'm not to keen to get married," Nicholas said in an offhand manner.

"I see.....well one of these days im going to be forced into marriage." She sighed loudly this time at the thought of that.

Nicholas raised eyebrow. "Who, actually, is going to force you into one?" he asked.

"Well i am planing on returning to England and since i am ....im going to have to marry someone so that i can rule.....You know how it is.." she sighed again and started to walk again.  

[Nick_austin90]

"You mean you are going to force yourself into marriage?" Nicholas mused and he found it a little bit amusing and he laughed silently. "Well, do you have anyone in mind?" He asked.

"Yes i am." She looked at him and added, "Well i haven't really met anyone from an upper class that i actually like in some ways....other then you." She shrugged and thought of what she might have to do.

"Oh, you are implying that you like me?" He asked. He was getting amused and his smile showed it.

Scarlet blushed a bit and slightly nodded. She looked away waiting for her face to turn pale again. "I guess i am implying that."

"Oh," Nicholas said and he was quiet. He was fighting a blush from marring his face.

"Yeah...." She said and then stayed quiet. They were walking in silence now even worse then before.

The silence was awkward. Nicholas was, well, flattered by what Scarlet had said and Scarlet just seemed uncomfortable. It felt tense in a weird way. If it was fighting then the tense is expected but when the situation is as such...it just felt plain weird.

"Ahem," Nicholas finally cleared his throat. "I think it's getting dark. Would it not be better if we return?"

"Oh...uh yeah that would be a good idea," She gave a slight smile and turned around to head back.
