Liori Quin Mundo ll Elemental Duel Wielding ♥ Blood Knight ll Doton and Katon ll Kumogakure Genin ll Bakuton - Mending Mouths
Mood:: Content

Liori contained her glare as the white ball of fur seemed to just ignore her entire existence, like she wasn't worth the energy to glance at. Her shoulders seemed to relax as the talking lion-thing seemed to back off from her tiny compatriot, telling the squidling to never mind whatever it was going on about after telling Toso never to mention the name 'Lilja'. 'Where have I heard that name?' Was one of the less aggressive thoughts going through her mind. Once the giant beast was out of view Liori let herself relax fully, slipping her hands away from her clay pouches and into her pockets that she hadn't realized she had reached for instinctively. Toso joked about how his father raised him to view wining and dining much different then Liori would expect. Though she thought the hot and heavy was implied from the get go, the jello-o man was a pretty attractive dude without that coat. She made no attempt to correct him however, realizing how awkward it would be to be doing that with her squad leader. Soon Ara spun around with her pouty mood all gone asking if Ori-chan wanted to do anything with her the remaining evening. It took her a hot minute to figure out the squidling meant her. "Oh! Sorry Ara, but if I'm gonna be a functioning member of the squad at four in the morning I'm gonna have to pass and start heading home. But how about this? After the mission we take some time and hangout then?" She asked with a small smile, she didn't often get nicknames and Ori had a nice ring to it. Letting out a small sigh she looked towards the sky, she needed to start on her beauty sleep soon. She wasn't lying about needing the sleep, she could be a total b***h when tired. Giving a small wave to the squidling she began walking away towards the main road from the academy. 'Why was I so quick to thinking about protecting Ara? Stupid. You know better then to get attached to people. They always toss you aside.' She scolded herself on her behavior, being apart of this village was making her soft in her eyes.

"I am the sword in the Darkness...

Axel sighed and threw the Uwame scroll on to the ground so hard that it rolled open. He was frustrated, and the fact he couldn’t land a single arrow weighed heavily on him. The first thing he read was the stance of drawing, something simple he had not done when he knocked and let lose the first two arrows. He stood with his legs apart and his shoulders aligned and then fired an arrow, which landed on his target, next to the arrow that had narrowly missed earlier.
    [Stance of Drawing 1/1]

He bent to the side to pick up another arrow. Then, he let his eyes trail on to the scroll with the techniques he had to learn to continue his work forward. Having read the technique once, he knocked the arrow on to the bow and as he drew, his black chakra enveloped his fist, the butt of the arrow, and the bow string. He held his breath for a moment, taking aim, and then, he loosed. The arrow ripped through the air making a slight shooshing sound and then a loud thump, as it lodged itself mid shaft on to the target, relatively close to the center.
    [Full Draw 1/1]

The final technique of the first stage was an easy one, one that was meant to help him find the arrow and adjust his shooting, or to follow it as someone moves while having it lodged on to them. He bent down and grabbed one more arrow, this time sending his chakra to hold around its head. The iron arrow head soon began to glow with his black chakra, producing a faint black-and-blue glow that would allow the arrow to be seen in day or night, storm or shine. Then, Axel assumed the stance of drawing, standing with his legs apart and shoulders aligned, and let the arrow loose, not at any of the targets, but at the wilderness that was next to the trees where the targets were placed. Between the trees and brush, he could see the faint glow of the arrow.
    [Tracer Arrow 1/1]

The shirtless Chunin lowered his bow when he heard the voice of a woman coming from behind him. He turned to find a woman with gray-white hair who looked very young, and familiar, he knew he had seen her before, recently, but he was so angry he couldn’t quite put his finger on where it was he had seen her. “Yeah I am.” His eyes lingered on her before shooting behind her to see Hakanai and her lion, Shu. His hard face warmed a little and flashed what might have been a smile for a fraction of a second before returning to its original cold scowl. “And you are?” He asked, stepping to the side to grab Hakanai’s notebook. In it, he wrote a: “Good to see you’re here, and glad you have a shirt on, the temperature is a bit chilly. Feel free to train, it’s just you and me in the squad now unless something changes and I have not been aware of it. I prefer it that way, Ara was just a little girl, I don’t want that responsibility on my shoulders. Do you know who this is?” That last question was about Sukai, but he doubted Hakanai had an answer for that.

Sukai mentally sighed. Once again she would have to introduce herself. "My name is Sukai, I'm suppose to be on your squad until I get further orders from either the Raikage or Wan." She didn't appreciate his facial expression but she would let it slide for now. Her gaze went between the two people before her and the lion. The large cat gave her flash backs to when she was the Cat Sage. They were bittersweet memories none the less.

    K a i l e e r C e i n ' l y s
I'm broken, lying helpless, shattered, surrounded by the world. And yet you're smiling bright, completely blind to life.

    R A I K A G E B U K I J U T S U - B L O O D L I N E H A K E M O T O

I'm breakable, unbreakable. I'm shaking yet unshakable.

[x] My attack was caught, Soraru grabbing my strike in his freed left hand. Had this been any sort of actual battle with real steel, he'd have probably lost half his hand, but he took advantage of the fact that it was not. Then again, if it were a true fight, I wouldn't have been holding back, trying to stay on even terms with him. Following it, he stopped my kick with one of his own. Then, my bokken still in hand, he prevented me from resetting by tugging on the wooden weapon so I couldn't move away. A sound of disappointment--in myself and not him--escaped me before I could stop it. Unless I released my weapon, I couldn't put any distance between us. Then he did the unexpected.

The disadvantage we both shared was that we had no knowledge of the other's abilities. Aside from wielding similar weapons and having a similar build, our personal strengths varied greatly from there. While my focus was almost entirely on physical attacks, Soraru relied, it seemed, much more on his chakra. As displayed in his reaction to my strike. The bokken in his grip... bent, wrapping around his wrist so that it wouldn't easily be pulled free. It was only a distraction, however, and I nearly fell for it. I turned outward, away from both the beam of chakra that narrowly missed me, and pulled hard on the sword still in my grip. Aside from attempting to throw him off balance it was meant for nothing other that to hide the spark of electricity that gathered around me; with his hand still caught in the twisted wood, escape wouldn't be quick.

Two could play at this game.

With Wan as my primary sparring partner, and focusing so much on weaponry alone, I often forgot that manipulation of energies was a fundamental part of shinobi combat. Chakra, which came in the forms of five different elements primarily, was a necessary part of the way we fought. And there hadn't been any rules against it in our match, so long as it wasn't deadly. I didn't believe in killing my opponent, so there I had the advantage of small of effective techniques. After all, the blade I used regularly was infused with my element, and utilizing it had, in a way, become a part of my style. I gathered the Raiton element, causing it to crackle around me before gathering it into my right hand. Since his grip was likewise on the bokken, and the sword connected both of us, I forced the gathered chakra in into it and, ideally into him. The jutsu was a minor one, but enough to, hopefully, force him to let go of the weapon with a shock, if not give me enough time to get a hit in.

I didn't stop with the technique, though. If it didn't have the intended effect, at the very least it might distract him enough to give me an opening. Shifting my weight to my forward foot, the right, I swung a kick high, aiming for his gut. If that didn't take him off his feet, his wrist could only handle so much battering before he was forced to let go anyway, which would, again, provide the opportunity to reset my stance.

Soraru was an interesting situation. He was reserved in both behavior--what I'd seen of him in our brief interactions, anyway--and in form, but he had a sharp mind and unorthodox ideas, which I could definitely applaud him for. I'd actually had to begin picking up my speed in our spar to keep ahead of him. Thanks to that, unlike previous spars, it forced me to keep a level head despite the adrenaline pumping through my veins. I think it helped that he had the calm, collected air that the Hakemoto were known for, something that I had always lacked. After all, he was facing off against the Raikage--whatever meaning that title held behind it. Perhaps, regardless of who won or lost, we could both pull away with something learned.

    Techniques Used:
    ☁ Formless Dodge - D (C-rank speed)
Nagare Tensou no Jutsu [ Current Transfer Technique ] - D
The user creates an electrical current in his or her hand; this current can then be transferred onto any weapon he or she happens to be holding at that moment, be it a Kunai, Senbon, Shuriken, or even a sword. The next physical attack he or she performs is charged with this electrical current; if he or she blocks a weapon attack with a weapon, the current transfers over shocking the attacker. If by chance the user is not carrying a weapon, he or she can transfer the current into the opponent's weapon or can directly hit him with this current to shock the target.
    ☁ Formless Kick - C

    Current Objectives:
    ☁ Spar with Soraru

    Items of Note:
    ☁ Wooden Bokken [right hand]
☁ Elemental Uchigatana [Raiton] [set aside]
    ☁ UHV Shield [set aside]

From her seat Nori let out a small smile and gestured for the two to take a seat. Once they had she reached up onto her vest and pulled the map of the coastline out and rolled it open before them,"Our mission is recon. Strange reports have been coming in of people along the borderlands here. Fire lights, signs of movement outside the norm, and sightings of people like Mr. Wan. So we have been tasked with going ahead and investigating to see if there is any validity in this." Giving them a moment to take that in she continued,"Objective is as follows. Primary, recon the area and ascertain the truth. From there our mission takes two different paths. If not then we head back. If "wans" are there, then we need to get a number estimate, arms and equipment, and attempt to gauge their intent. However, and I cannot stress this enough, we are to avoid contact at ALL costs. We don't want to risk starting a war here ok? Any questions?"

She had a small amount of fear in her eyes for someone, as she noticed exactly which two people it was fighting. It was only a spar, right? No one would get seriously hurt, right? Or both of them will die Hanna banished the voice from her head. They wouldn't...it was just a spar. Focus on your training and stay out of the dark place.

He blinked and offered her no expression. “You look old enough to be leading this squad.” His tone was annoyed enough that he would not have been surprised if she caught it; he did not want to lead this, or any squad. He was not ready for that, and yet Wan, and most likely the Raikage, pushed him to this. Why him? He had done nothing to win their approval or even their attention, and yet here he was. “We have a mission due any moment now,” Axel began to explain to his squad mate, allowing a sigh of exasperation to escape him in between words. “There are aparantly people just like Wan out there, somewhere. We have to go find them. Observe, not engage.” Why would you send me on a recon mission of all things? That makes me even more useless than actual combat. He said nothing else to Sukai for the moment. The redhead’s eyes trailed down, observing the woman before him and then down to his bow. “For now, just train, or stock up on whatever supplied you think you’ll need for the mission; it makes no difference to me.”

Sukai simply looked over at Axel, she almost cracked a smile. If he didn't feel comfortable leading the mission she wouldn't hesitate to take charge. Onin were leaders regardless, their instinct and skill set rarely had them follow behind others. Especially since they usually went on solo assassination missions. Putting that aside she simply nodded to him. "Yes I am no teenager, but I am not nearly the oldest kunochi in the village" As she heard what the status of their mission was she didn't see no need to train for it, she knew most jutsu in the medical field and her kekkei genkai. That was all she needed. Even if it was a combat mission she felt it unneeded to pursue learning more jutsu for her arsenal. As he bowed to her she dipped her head to him and turned around, moving a few meters away from the little group before she pivoted on her heel spinning, lowering her body to the ground until she was sitting cross legged on it. She put her fists together and closed her eyes. She would wait like this until it was time for them to depart.

the only lie i see is now - INSIDE OF MY HEADxxxx◈◈xxxxthe only truth slips through - MY FINGERTIPS IN THE END

My technique was ultimately dodged, which was unfortunate, but it was really to be expected against someone who was as quick and reactive as Kaileer. I had half a mind to just use form manipulation once more, keep the extended length of my blade, and slice up horizontally, however the crackling of what was obviously lightning distracted me from that. The ability to cast Ninjutsu while holding a blade was something I knew about, however I unfortunately was never blessed with such a thing. I opted for jutsu with a small amount of hand signs that I could do with both hands moving around the hilt. With the exception of the water dragon, which I mainly picked up in case I was battling a long range fighter. When I heard the sound of wood splintering from electricity coursing through it, I shot my hand back (fixing his weapon in the process), knowing where that was going, managing to just sustain some serious stinging in my forefinger and thumb. In the event, I was able to bring my right hand down while he shifted forwards, taking the brunt of his followup attack with my bokken, even if the force of a Raikage's kick put some extra strain on my arm. I initially planned to use form manipulation to trap Kaileer's leg with chakra-infused wood, however the pressure and force of his strike had also managed to shove me back a fair bit.

In the brief moment of "peace", of sorts, I was able to take notice of all the people around the area. Only a couple seemed to be actually watching the fight, but they were very much recognizable. Hono and Hanna were the first to catch his attention. The snow-haired boy was observing with observant green eyes, likely inspecting the battle as a sort of instructional training for himself. Hanna looked at them with what appeared to be worry, or some other negative emotion in her eyes. Normally it probably would've brought some pink to my cheeks, thinking of the possibility that a girl I thought was pretty worried for me. But knowing how bad it was to leave people caring for me, the current spar at hand, and the fact that I could've been reading everything absolutely wrong stopped that from happening. Axel, Hakanai, Shu, and that girl from the Raikage's office were communicating as well. They were probably a team, something that gave me some relief. It made it easier to distance them from myself. I knew I'd have to talk to Axel again at some point, but it was better for everyone if we just didn't interact any further. Him, Shu, and myself. With adrenaline still pumping through my veins, I was able to finish this observation in record time, still retaining the energy and drive for my fight with Kaileer. In fact, since he forced me back and caused my brief bit of an aggressive assault to end, I was even more sucked into the battle.

My right arm drew back, flipping the blade into a reverse grip, while my body bent forwards and to the side the slightest bit. My left hand was raised horizontally, slightly in front of myself, as if aiming the strike while the rest of my body drew back, like pulling on a slingshot and getting ready to let loose the pain it held. My own personal stance developed from watching the Oni of Tsukihara Hana. When I launched myself forwards, it was fast enough to clear the distance in about a second, but not blinding speed that some people managed to develop. It was about the speed of a Chuunin who prioritized speed over other traits. The position of the blade and the fact that I wasn't slowing down meant that my most obvious attack was going to be a strike along the right side, using the momentum to swing behind Kaileer. Except that the moment when I was in attacking range, I put all my weight into my left foot as I stomped into the ground, launching my body in that direction, the attack taking a sudden turn as I crouched down and attempted to cut right through Kaileer's left side. Well, as much cutting as one could do with a bokken. If the strike was avoided or blocked, I'd simply carry on all that built up momentum to turn my body back towards my opponent, crouch even lower to the ground, flip the blade back into a normal held position and make a vertical, upwards cut.

I wasn't keeping my fighting style hidden anymore. Kaileer was an aggressive fighter, but so was I, and I wouldn't win by maintaining a stance that I didn't excel in. Even if he was faster and more reactive than me, I'd still give it my all, relying on both technique and my own style to try gaining the upper hand. Just because it wasn't a real fight (given that he could take me down almost immediately in that case), it didn't mean I wasn't going to take it seriously. Proving myself, whether it be to my peers, mentor, or my father, had always meant everything to me.

Shu was noisily eating in the background, not that I could hear it. But the looks of some people told me enough. With a sigh, I turned my head to get Shu's attention but he was done. He was now grooming himself off of the blood and chunks of meat he had eaten. My eyes glanced towards where the meat once was. Wow. Everything was gone. Good thing I decided not to bring meat with bones in them, I was sure Shu would be idiotic enough to choke himself with a bone with how fast he had inhaled the meat. With a soft smile, I turned to look at Axel and the female, to which Axel had started talking to her. But then he had reached for the notebook so I handed it to him. To me, it was rude if someone wrote while conversing with another person but it was Axel's choice and I wasn't going to stop him. I wasn't here to teach him manners. I was here to help him learn. Once he was done writing, I took the notebook and frowned, I forgot to bring his shirt back. I could get Shu to fetch it... and the comment about it being chilly, I had to surpass from rolling my eyes. The cold doesn't really bother me. Hyouton aren't the same as Shinsetsu, yes, but even our tolerance for cold was a bit higher.

Once my eyes glanced over to the question, I gave Axel an eye contact and shrug, meaning that I didn't know. With that. I turned and whistled to Shu in a low pitch as he got up onto his fours and we both entered into the building to start our training. With a soft sigh, well that was eventful. Glancing towards Shu, I was able to see how tired he was. Heck, I was tired myself. First few days I was sleeping too much and then had insomnia the next few days. We both were tired but as a life of shinobi, we must carry on. Maybe if we finished training and before the next scouting, we could get some sleep. All the time we just used was to go home, change clothes and eat. Shu was starving, he must not ate that much during the week as he wolfed down every meat I had given him. That reminds me, I needed to order some. I wanted him to have the meat, so I ended up with simple peanut butter and jelly sandwich, two of those and some water. Most food had went bad so we had to throw them away as well. Once entering into the academy, I glanced around a bit nervously. I had a reason. This was where… I made one of the worse mistakes. Shaking my head, I had to move on. It was important. Axel couldn't move on and look how much he was damaging himself. Right.

Time for training, my eyes glanced towards Shu, "We ask around, they help us, find something can summon us when separated again." Shu lowered his head as he agreed. He gently bumped his head onto my side as we started to ask around. Soon, one of the leaders had reached down to get some scrolls and tried to explain his best down in writing as well voicing for Shu since Shu cannot read yet. [1/18] I was honestly confused by the writings and after several back and forth, we understood. I thanked him with a generous bow as he went off to help others. My blue hues glanced towards Shu. Well. Time to get to work. [2/18] I started to gather free scrolls for us to work on as Shu used his mouth to get some weapons carefully. Glanced towards him, I had an idea for Shu. But we didn't know any blacksmith and we had more pressing matters right now. Once we took up some room, I went to get some black ink as well. [3/18] Alright. Like that leader suggested, we should work on Kaifu no Jutsu before doing the actually summoning. The way he emphasis, we really need to practice this several times even if we get it right. Here we go. My eyes glanced towards the seals as my left hand moved to write on the blank scroll. [4/18] Soon, a vacuum like at the site had absorbed one kunai. With a smile, I glanced towards Shu, I can't wait to see this. He had constantly surprised me. Is this what my mother felt when she was training Lilja? It's amazing, since animals cannot do handsigns or even write, they can still do this. He used his nose to knock over one of the ink jaws and placed his paw on it. [5/18] He moved his paw to the scrolls and does a simple wipe as his chakra was being used as well, ah. So that's what it was? Animals had to use more chakra in order to make this work? No. I was wrong. It seemed I still had lot to learn. We both watched as a vacuum occurred as the other weapon was sealed into the scroll. Alright. Now it was time to summon them out. [6/18] Placed my fingertips onto the seal I made, the weapon was out in no time. Huh. Interesting. So it's harder to get the weapon in then it was to get them out. Shu would had no problem with this himself. Sure enough, he focused his chakra as well as the weapon was summoned back out. The pages were blank again. Not too bad. [7/18] Though if Shu wanted to ever have scrolls… or more like me carrying scrolls for him, we would need bigger scroll to take up room for that massive paw of his. Yet, I doubt this would happen. The weapon I had in mind for him for a brief moment when I thought of it, he can easily carry it around. But how will it work? [8/18] With a soft sigh, I gently scratched his ears. "Practice more." I signed to him as Shu nodded. We started to practice some more. We went from one kunai to many. My blue hues glanced around and I told Shu to keep working while I get some water jugs. Shu did. [9/18] Finding some, I decided to also grab some pieces of the broken dummies. While placing them to our area, I watched Shu raised his eyebrow in amusement. This must be amusing to him. I tried to visual myself carrying over broken pieces of dummy and water jugs while looking a bit heatic. I guess that was amusing. With a soft smile, I sat back down by him. [10/18] I started to write on the scroll and nothing happened. With a soft frown, I glanced towards Shu as he shrugged. What was wrong with this thing? I wrote it right! Ugh! That's when I realized I was starting to get angry. I needed to calm down. Taking several deep breaths, I glanced at the seal. Oh. I wrote it wrong. [11/18] Embarrassed for losing my control so quickly, I had to throw away the scroll I messed up on and got myself a new one. Shu was still doing well. I was proud. Part of me wishes he was a cub again. I had so much to make up for it. It was my fault. With a gentle exhale of a sigh, I rested by him and wrote again. [12/18] The vacuum appeared and it seemed to take a bit longer to take in the broken pieces of a dummy. Curious, my blue hues watched as I was lost in my own thoughts. So the heavier the item was, would it be harder for it to be sealed within? My fingertips gently brushed my lips. Maybe it's not the volume or size of the items, maybe it was my lack of experience. [13/18] Meanwhile, Shu was doing great. The size of the items, it had a bit of delay just like mine was. Now I was really wondering if it was because of our lack of experience. Shu didn't even need me to ask. He went ahead and decide to try again. I think he got the hint that practice makes perfect. [14/18] Though honestly, nothing was perfect in this world. I knew that. But it wouldn't stop us from trying. While he was working on his own pieces of the dummy and water jugs, I was working on mind. Again, summoning them out of the scroll was the easy part. It was just getting them sealed that was hard. [15/18] I noticed the more time we spent on it, we were getting tired, fast. Our chakra was going down and we were already exhausted in the first place. Yet, we kept on pushing through. My blue hues glanced towards Shu as I saw him taking a small break to gather his thoughts. My hand reached over to gently stroke his forehead as he started to purr. [16/18] The moment of small break was what we needed. After several minutes, both of us started to focus and went back to work. While sealing the items into the scroll, we decided to work on not only the volume but the amount. With practice and time, I started to notice that it was becoming more fast that the items were being vacuumed into the scroll. I was right. [17/18] More practice means that it was getting better. I wondered if Shu noticed. "Noticed, better?" I signed towards him as Shu nodded. With a smile, we did it. Exhausted, I started to sigh as I rolled over to on my back as Shu rested his head next to mine, I could feel his hot breath on me. I missed that.

[18/18 Kaifu No Jutsu Learned by Hakanai and Shu! ]

We did it. With an exhale, it was time to actually start summoning each other. Sat up, I gently scratched my head with a yawn as I reached over to one of the scrolls that the academy had given us. It was time to learn about Kuchiyose no Jutsu. [1/6] While reading over the scroll, I also signed towards Shu. He was confused few times because he didn't know all sign language yet so I had to provide examples to him. After several tries, we both understood but my brows was still furrowed together and Shu noticed it. This used a scroll. I wanted to be able to summon him without a scroll. Does that mean we needed to get tattoo? [2/6] With a soft sigh and a shake of my head, we can practice right now instead and I can figure out how to be able to summon him and vice versa without the help of scrolls. Once we made contract and spilled some blood, I took the scroll and nodded to Shu. [3/6] Shu sighed heavily from being a bit tired as he got up from the floor and headed out of the academy. My blue hues glanced towards the clock as I was counting down the five minutes.[4/6] Each second passed, I was becoming more anxious. What happened? We used to be okay being separated… but I guess after everything that happened, I can't bare to be away from him again. Five minutes passed and I summoned him. [5/6] There was a bit of wind and I immediately moved out of way after remembering how big Shu was now. With a thump, I winced, hoping that he was okay. He was laying down and seemed to be trying to keep calm. Was his eyes spinning. With a soft and gentle laugh, I crawled over to Shu and started to spoil on him.

[6/6 Gyaku Kuchiyose no Jutsu [ Reverse Summoning Technique ] Learned by Hakanai and Shu!]

"You nap now, wake you up when time practice more." Shu nodded as he gave Hakanai a nice lick before getting up and finding a nice corner to rest on. With a gentle smile, it was my turn to learn somethings. Once I learned them, I can wake Shu up and we can continue training. My hands went up as I rubbed my eyes rather roughly out of being tired as I started to read the next one. [1/3] Ah yes. He suggested this one since I was a medic nin and that it could help me save other people lives. I could see why now after reading the scroll, but the issue was, I didn't have anyone unconscious nearby. I can't ask patients that was in coma to do this for me. My blue hues glanced towards Shu as I considered practice on him but I decided not to because it would be a bit too mean. [2/3] I guess just remembering this by memory will have to do. They always say if you repeat yourself or do it more than seven times, you would remember for sure. With that, I decided to write this seven times I can remember. Not only that, I also signed seven times. There. I placed the scroll down and visualize what I wrote. I double checked by looking at the scroll and sure enough, it was right. Alright. What was next? [3/3]

    [ 3/3 Kuchiyose • Bodi Chouin no Jutsu [ Summoning • Body Sealing Technique ] Learned! ]

Eiseijutsu. I should go ahead and do that since those are for me to learn and I didn't need Shu for this. With that, I decided to go ahead and put the broken parts of dummies up as well the water jugs. After cleaning the area, I went to find a dummy that I could use. Once I found one, I grabbed the few scrolls I had. I wanted to learn some of the higher up Eisei but… I was denied. I couldn't blame them. The road to redemption was never easy or short. Placed the dummy on an available table I picked up one of the scrolls. I preformed the hand sign with single hand as I could feel the chakra wrapping around my hands. Placed it against the dummy, I saw the small jolt. Not bad.

    [ 1/1 Suji Dageki [ Muscle Shock ] Learned! ]

What was next….I gently rolled up the previous scroll and placed it back to where it belonged. My hues glanced towards Shu and he was still sleeping. With a soft smile, I do wish I can take a nap. There was no time to do so. My hand reached over to the scroll that was on the table. Reading over it, I nodded softly in understanding. This was another jutsu I was not be able to practice on. So I would have to learn by memory. [1/2] With that, I sat down on the table and got a blank paper. Writing the instructions over and over, up to seven times, it would help with the memory. Not just writing, I also signed it after I finished writing it down. With that, I turned over the scroll and papers, started to memorize it. Curious if I was right, I flipped it over and I was right. When the time comes for me to use it, I should be able to use it well.

    [ 2/2 Kinniku Saichousei [ Muscle Realignment ] Learned! ]

My hues glanced over to Shu. He needed some techniques for sure. Maybe I could work on mine some more while he work on his. With that in mind, I went over to Raiton and Katon area, those were his elements and started to look for scrolls for him. After reading some scrolls that I think Shu will like, I took a handful and walked over to the sleeping hybrid. With a soft smile, I gently started to pet him as he was stirring in his sleep. Once he was awake, I looked towards the scrolls and sign one simple word, "Train", I could see he wasn't happy but it seems he understood the importance as he got up to stretch and start training. With a smile, I headed back to my area and decided to learn the rest of the Eisei.

With a whining yawn and growl, Shu stretched as his joints popped. His eyes glanced over to Hakanai, his compainion as he was worried about her. What happened? Why was she imprisoned? [1/7] With a gentle growl, there was no time. He needed to learn techniques. He can't always know a little bit. [2/7] How can he protect her and the village of the people if he wasn't properly trained? Curious to what Hakanai had picked for him, his massive paw got ahold of a scroll. [3/7] Opened it by using his nose to unroll it, the hybrid read up. The problem about these jutsu, there was no... teaching a pet of how to use them. It was more of instinct and him having to learn on his own. Though reading the symbols help him concentrate on those words. [4/7] So Katon was first. Very well. He was rather fond of it and maybe it's a good combination since Hakanai was some kind of ice bloodline user. That way if they work on their teamwork maybe they could figure out something. [5/7] Glanced around, Shu looked for a safe place for him to work on the jutsu without damaging the inside. He gathered up the scrolls into his mouth as he made his way around the academy. He found fireproof dummies made for Katon. Purrfect! [6/7] Shu chuckled at his own joke in a weird mew mew way. Placed the scroll aside, he remembered what he read as a the Katon chakra gathered around in his mouth, with a shot, he shot the spear into the dummy as it had it's effect.

    [ 7/7 Ketatamashi Makai [ Piercing Hell Strike ] Learned! ]

I was so focused on my own work, I barely noticed Shu had left to do some training. I decided to work on the rest of the Eisei. I was happy to be Chuunin again but part of me wonders if I really deserved it? I didn't think I did deserve it before I was confinded and I still don't. Doesn't matter. I grabbed the Healing hands Technique: Major scroll. [1/4] My hues glanced around and I realized that learning Eisei would be harder here but I was going have to try. But who can I use to learn? Right. For something like this, I could simply use myself. [2/4] Grabbed my kunai, I made a cut on my leg arm where the clothing didn't touch so I wouldn't ruin it. With a soft wince, it wasn't a bad cut, but it was something I could use. My hues glanced over the symbols at the scroll. [3/4] I started to memorize the symbols. Over and over, I repeated to myself. In no time at all, I preformed them and then placed my hand onto my skin and it healed so fast, I was surprised. Pleasantly surprised. [4/4]

[ 4/4 Chiyute No Jutsu: Ichidanto [ Healing Hands Technique: Major ] Learned! ]

Shu removed the scroll that he just learned into a different pile, after all, he knew his temper. If he ended up reading the same scroll over and over, it would cause him to get mad. Easily. [1/7] Used his paw to hold down on the corner of the scroll and his nose to unroll it once again, he started to read what was next. At first, he was confused. His eyes glanced around and he noticed one of the teachers. "Help." He called out. There was a time that this hybrid hated to ask for help. [2/7] But after everything he learned, he knew that there was moments where it was important to ask for help. The teacher heard him and walked over and started to read the scroll out loud. He requested the teacher to stay and help out the remaining of the training. [3/7] Luckily the teacher agreed once he found out Hakanai was busy with her own training. Those two would have to learn Korab for sure. Shu started looked over the symbols for this technique. [4/7] It was curious that Hakanai had picked this for him. Maybe it was because he was powerful? It was no question that Shu would be more about strength than speed when it comes to his breed and size. If he was more of a snow leopard size, then sure, speed was possible but it wasn't the case. [5/7] Focused the chakra, the Katon engulfed around his paws as he moved but it went out. Shu growled under his breath in frustration. Why did it go out? He assumed that it was because he wasn't focusing enough. The teacher stepped in to help, but Shu growled at him. This was for him to learn. [6/7] Once again, the Katon had engulfed around the Hybrid's paws. He took a step and the Katon was still around the paws. Perfect. His eyes picked a fire resistance target. Once he did, he ran and leapt into the air, landing onto the dummy with such brute force, the paws hit the shoulders as the dummy was crushed into smithereens. Satisfied, the hybrid proudly walked his way back to where the scrolls and teacher was. [7/7]

    [ 7/7 Kaseiken [ Flame Fist ] Learned! ]

Okay. What was next? My hues read over the next one and I almost cringed. There was no way I could do that to myself. [1/4] It was the Hone Chiyu no Jutsu, a bone healing. From what I can remember, I actually never had a broken bone. I had sprains, sore muscles, many things... but broken? [2/4] This would be complicated. This was another jutsu I was going have to try to memorize. My hands reached over to grab a blank scroll as I wrote the hand signs over and over. I also went ahead and did it. [3/4] I could feel the Chakra surging through me. It must be working. I mentally mouthed myself the hand signs over seven times to help me memorize. This would have to do. [4/4]

[ Hone Chiyu no Jutsu [ Bone Healer Skill ] Learned! ]

While Shu was putting the scroll that he just learned away, the teacher was already opening the next one and started to explain. The hybrid had gotten excited. Hakanai really does know what he would like! [1/7] Of course, it had to be stated that it wasn't going to be easy to learn. Since when learning such high rank jutsu was ever easy? Shu missed the part about which symbols, so he asked the teacher to repeat it. [2/7] The teacher did so. He was still slightly confused to what was required. With a request, he hoped the teacher didn't mind to show him. With a nod, the teacher went over to the dummy. [3/7] She preformed some hand signs and then the massive fireballs had shot out of the mouth, hitting the other dummy. Interesting. So that should be slightly more easy but with the size and the gathering of the chakra, it would take him some time. [4/7] Made his way over to the dummy, he started to focused and remembered the hand signs into his head. Over and over, he repeated himself. His Katon chakra started to flow through. [5/7] The Snow Leopard/Lion had opened his massive jaws as a ball started to form. It was still forming and he needed to speed it up so he pushed his chakra more and sure enough, the ball was becoming bigger rapidly. [6/7] With a burst of cut off of the Katon chakra flow, the fireball was sent hurling towards the dummy. He wasn't pleased. So he did this again. Opened his massive jaw, the ball formed much faster than the first time and it was sent faster too. With practice, it makes things better and easier. [7/7]

    [ 7/7 Yurika no Jutsu [ Fire Lily Technique ] Learned! ]

Rolled the Bone healing scroll back up, I reached over to the next one. I had three more Eisei to learn and then bloodlines and so many other things. I was already feeling tired and drained. [1/4] Once I grabbed a scroll, I could feel the weight just suddenly crushing onto my shoudlers. Where was this coming from? A shook of my mane of thick white hair, I ignored it. I had to keep pushing. [2/4] I needed to make up for what I did. I can't just roll over. My cold blue hues read over the scroll. This was good, this could help me not needed to preform surgeries if it's a must, there was one problem. The patient would feel everything. [3/4] If it meant saving their life to do so, then so be it. I started to memorize the symbols and did the hand signs to be on the safe side. I felt the energy pass through me as I sighed and rolled the scroll back up. [4/]

[ Shousen Jutsu [ Mystical Hand Technique ] Learned! ]

The next one. Shu twisted his ears slightly when he was listening the teacher as he was slightly ashamed to not have learn this yet. This was important, especially for a Katon user. [1/2] After all, he didn't want his beautiful fur singed or ruined all because he was careless. Once the teacher showed him the symbols on the scroll, he focused his Katon chakra as it flowed around him and he could feel it working. [2/2]

    [ 2/2 Bounetsu no Jutsu [ Flame-Resistance Technique ] Learned! ]

Once I placed the scroll aside, it was the next one. At least, this one I can actually sort of try to practice. Not exactly, but using a dummy would be okay. [1/4] Got up from the ground, I made over to the dummy with the scroll in my hand. Wait. I already forgot the symbols. I unrolled it to read it again. [2/4] I hope I would never have to use this on anyone. Being a medic nin... it really does put the weight on the shoulders. [3/4] After doing some of the hand signs, I felt electricty run around my hands. Placed them in position on the dummy, it jolted but there was no response. Of course there wasn't. It was a dummy. [4/4]

[ Hekirekite no Jutsu [ Thunder Hands Technique ] Learned! ]

Once that was taken care of, the teacher started to move on the next scroll as Shu was cleaning moving things around. When the teacher finished explaining. the Hybrid was very confused. Was it not same as the one he just learned? [1/2] He expressed his confusion and the teacher explained it in her own words, it was then he understood. Once shown the symbols, he memorized them and worked on it and requested the teacher to use a Katon Jutsu. Which she did, he didn't feel his temperatures go up. [2/2]

[ Taika no Jutsu [ Fireproof Technique ] Learned! ]

Not much more to learn, I turned my head and decided to check in on Shu. I saw a teacher was helping and I was happy but I also felt a twinge of jealously. I had to calm myself down and remember that we are all a team here. [1/4] The quicker I can finish, the faster I can be with Shu and help him out. Though honestly, he may get to finish before I did. Grabbed the next Eiseijutsu scroll, I realized that this was more offensive than the normal healing ones that I usually go for. [2/4] Over and over, I read the scroll to memorize the symbols. Once I was confident enough, I rolled the scroll up and made my way to the dummy. [3/4] When I used the hand signs, I struck the dummy few times and could feel the difference int he chakra. Not only that, there was a small ball of chakra onto the ball of my hands, I just couldn't see what it could do due to the fact that the dummy wasn't well... living. [4/4]

    [ 4/4 Satsugaite no Jutsu [ Killing Hands Technique ] Learned! ]

Time for the next one. Shu helped out by putting the scrolls he just learned away. The next one seemed a bit complicated but Shu should be able to manage it just fine. [1/4] The teacher even helped out by actually preforming the jutsu. Shu eyes watched as he noticed something. He was getting tired. [2/4] Right. He need to finish learning Katon and then Raiton and maybe he could get some sleep in before both Hakanai and himself work on Maruton. [3/4] Memorizing the symbols, Shu preformed the jutsu as it broke the dummy itself. [4/4]

[ Gōryūka no Jutsu [ Great Dragon Fire Technique ] Learned! ]

At least I was done with Eiseijutsu for now. I leaned down to pick up the scrolls and started to walk towards the shelves as I put the medical jutsu up accordingly. [1/6] My hues glanced towards where the bloodline jutsu was and I felt my heart dropped slightly. I still miss them terribly. Their deaths was still fresh on me. [2/6] But it was the life of a shinobi was it not? And part of me was glad they weren't here to see what I did. They would... be disappointed. [3/6] I grabbed the bloodline scrolls and started to read the first one. So this one, it would summon wolves but I needed nearby ice. Of course. I made my way around the academy and decided to go outside for a bit. [4/6] With a bit of a walk, I found enough water for me to use to help me out. Great. I forgot the other two scrolls but I can get them. Reading the scroll once again, I tucked it into the pocket safety. [5/6] First, I froze the water. After giving me a bit of a time, I used the handseals and only one wolf had emerged. It was beautiful but I wasn't fond of wolves like I was for cats. Yet, I was... fascinated. Honestly, I love animals more than people and there was a reason for it. Squatted down, my fingertips gently touch the wolf's cheek, it was so cold. Ice cold. [6/6]

[ 6/6 Hyōton: Rōga Nadare no Jutsu [ Ice Release: Wolf Fang Avalanche Technique ] Learned! ]

Shu was nice enough to actually clean up the dummy mess he had made. One by one, he dropped pieces into the recycling box so they could use the wood that can be used to make another dummy. Meanwhile, the teacher was ontot he next scroll. [1/4] Well that one sounded dangerous. For sure, she and Shu needed to be at a safe distance, if not, they could get blown back. [2/4] Shu also expressed concerned about the windows but was reassured that they had made the academy windows strong for these reasons. Alright. If he remembered right, he needed to be sure to aim well at the middle dummy in this field so the shock and force waves won't be too bad. [3/4] He focused as the Katon Chakra run through his body and he opened his mouth. The fireball started to form in front of his nuzzle and soon became a shape of a basketball. Gathered enough energy, he shot it at middle dummy and once it hit, the fireball made touch as it exploded, his fur and mane flowing wildly at the impact. [4/4]

[ Myaku Hitofuki no Jutsu [ Pulse Blast Technique ] Learned! ]

What was next? Oh right. I needed to cancel this jutsu. I didn't want to. Even though the wolf wasn't living, just having it right there made it feel so real. [1/6] Was that what genjutsu was usually like? I actually had never been under genjutsu, speaking of which, it was something I was going have to learn as well. [2/6] Maybe not today, perhaps another time. Once I canceled the genjutsu, I headed back in and grabbed the two scrolls I had forgotten to take with me for me to learn. On the way back outside, at least this one seemed a bit more easier. [3/6] All I had to do was use the air this time around. I should really learn how to use Suiton, that way, I could summon water up from the grounds and have it help me. I wasn't going to always get lucky and find water around me. That was for another time. [4/6] Once I got to a safe location, a bit away from the academy to not harm anyone, I started to study and memorize the hand seals. I even practiced a little bit but not the entire jutsu, that was for when I felt ready. [5/6] Few more readings, I understood. I did the handseals and I started to see shiny particles around me. How beautiful. Right. Focused some more, I was able to move them at will. They would certainly be handy. [6/6]

    [ Renga's Ice Creation Technique Learned! ]

At last! We were done with the Katon. Shu had given the teacher his thanks as he attempt to gather up the Katon scrolls into his mouth. WHen he entered into the building, he noticed Hakanai wasn't there. Concerned, he quickly put them away and sniffed around, noticed that she was outside, training her blood line techniques. That was good. His eyes glanced over to the next part, Raiton. Joy. WIth a soft grumble, all he could do was hope that Hakanai didn't give him too many techniques. He found another teacher that was willing to help him as they went ahead and get stared. The dummies inside should be more than enough. [1/2] Once the teacher, who was a guy this time, had explained the first one, Shu glanced at the symbols and memorize it. This time, he had Raiton surge through his body. The teacher immediately stopped Shu, mentioning that he was to hit a living target. They decided that it was best he was close enough. [2/2]

[ Raikou Henge no Jutsu [ Lightning Transformation Technique ] Learned! ]

One more scroll for my bloodline. I was still wondering, would my parents be so disappointed? Or would they been proud? It was hard to tell. [1/6] If my child did the same as I did... how would I react? We were humans, we are bond to make mistakes but what I did wasn't a mistake. It was horrible. [2/6] I really had to let it go. This cannot eat me up. All I can do now, was to move on and make up for my past decisions by better choices in the future. [3/6] With that said, I read the third scroll. This didn't really need me to be there for the techniques. With that in mind, I gathered up the other two scroll and went back inside. [4/6] There, I saw Shu training and he was already at Raiton. With a smile and proud of him, I was still feeling guilty for not being there with him. I still had no idea what happened up in the mountains. All I knew, I came home and felt Shu's scar across his neck. [5/6] With a shook of the head, I memorized the symbols and signed it a few times to help with muscle memory. When I was done, I started to put the bloodline scrolls away with a heavy heart. [6/6]

[ Kanki Kyouka no Michi [ Frost Reinforce Method ] Learned! ]

Raiton was rather weird. It had a different feeling than Katon did. With Katon, he felt warm but Raiton? He felt energetic. While, as usual, Shu moved the used scroll to the pile, the teacher explained the next one. That makes sense. Hakanai was a Suiton user, they could teamwork with Sution and Raiton. [1/2] It can also be used on Earth. With that in mind, Shu had studied the symbols. Focused and released his Raiton from the mouth, the bolt just shot straight for the dummy. [2/2]

    [ 2/2 Jibashiri [ Earth Flash ] Learned! ]

Okay. It was time to put the bloodline jutsu up. I had to learn Suiton that was for sure, to be able to try to somehow get some water up above ground, that was my goal. It would help Shu and myself if I was able to learn that kind of technique. Made my way back inside, I noticed Shu was working on Raiton. Good. I felt a small crack of a smile on my lips as I put the bloodline jutsu scroll away and started to gather the Sution. Okay. The first one I found, doesn't exactly bring water up but it was a start. [1/2] Made my way into the other area of dummies outside for preserving the building, I stumped my foot as water rose and aimed right for the dummy. Perfect. What was next? [2/2]

    [ 2/2 Mizu Kamikiri [ Rising Water Cutter ] Learned! ]

Remove the scroll, Shu listened to the next one. It seemed that Hakanai made sure to pick the ones that he could do, especially if they had to do close combat. He heard his teacher's words of the symbols. [1/2] Focused, the Raiton chakra had traveled to his paws as he ran to one of the dummies. Leapt into the air, he crashed down onto it as the electricity traveled into the dummy as well. [2/2]

[ 2/2 Hikuhiku Eda no Jutsu [ Twitching Limb Technique ] Learned! ]

At least for the next water technique I was going to learn, it could give me more water. Not only that, I could use it as an attack but still can take advantage that there would be some water source around [1/2] I read over the scroll few times. Once I was confident enough, I did the hand seals and felt my chakra surging towards my mouth as I opened it and a jet stream had hit the dummy and the water settle around it. Perfect. [2/2]

    [ 2/2 Taihoudan [ Large Projectile ] Learned! ]

Shu was getting tired. At least he was on the last element of his then perhaps he can get some rest before Hakanai wakes him up to work on Maruton. With a whiny loud and massive yawn, he listened to the teacher. [1/4] Huh. Interesting jutsu. The hybrid started to focus on his chakra again as he glomped onto the dummy and dug his nails in as well his jaw, the Raiton chakra spread to the other body as he removed himself from the dummy. [2/4] He could smell it cooking from here. Not bad at all, this could be useful in close combat. [3/4] He just would have to make sure he can get close enough without harming himself. Though he knew, if he sees an opening, the Snow Leopard and Lion hybrid would take the chance in a heartbeat. [4/4]

    [ 4/4 Hiraishin [ Sparking Electric Needle ] Learned! ]

Aha! I found it! With a smile, I read over the scroll, this was what I had been looking for. It pulls water from an underground source and I would surely need it. [1/2] With that in mind, I studied it. This was one of the jutsu I would not want to forget. At all. After I did the hand seals, I felt a slight rumble underneath my foot and then suddenly, water emerged from the ground as an upside down waterfall. Almost. Water was everywhere, I even accidently got myself wet. With a smile, I was starting to become slightly more confident. [2/2]

    [ 2/2 Takitsubo no Jutsu [ Waterfall Basin Technique ] Learned! ]

Shu had never been a fan of weapons. It was for a reason. Hakanai and himself haven't exactly got a good knowledge of weapons. [1/4] While he was listening and putting the scroll he just learned away, it was perfect. It could certainly help Hakanai and himself if there was any projectiles thrown at them. [2/4] The teacher continue to explain how it works and then showed Shu the symbols. With that in mind, he requested the teacher to throw him a kunai. Once Shu got into a safe distance, the Raiton chakra surrounded him. [3/4] On cue, the teach threw the kunai as bolts emerged from the ground and one of the bolts had struck the weapon as it fell onto the ground with a clatter. Being polite and grateful for his help, the hybrid walked over and picked up the kunai and handed it over to the teacher. [4/4]

[ 4/4 Shinkou Arashi no Jutsu [ Rising Storm Technique ] Learned! ]

I grabbed a hold of my hair as I squeezed some of the water away. I didn't mind at all. It wasn't cold, a bit chilly of the fall approaching yes, but it wasn't cold as it normally gets in the winter time. [1/2] I had to go back to inside the academy to find a towel as I grabbed it and dried enough on my hands so I wouldn't damage the scrolls. Rolled the one I just learned and placed it aside, I got to the next one. Just like all the other jutsu, I learned the hand signs as I preformed it. A whirling water tornado had appeared onto of a dummy. [2/2]

    [ 2/2 Mizu no Tatsumaki [ Tornado of Water ] Learned! ]

Shu was excited. He was informed that . Course there was still Maruton but at least he could train that with Hakanai. He wondered how far along was she? [1/4] No matter. He needed to focus for at least two more and then he could nap. The next one, it was a fog technique that with the help of a Raiton user, it could become dangerous. [2/4] Once he was told the symbol for the first part, he focused and fog started to form around but it wasn't massive one, he didn't want it to be big. When that was done, he waited for a bit longer for the next part. [3/4] The teacher explained the second part as Shu focused on the Raiton chakra of his. Memorized the symbols, electricity crackled throughout the fog. The teacher was kind enough to use a Fuuton jutsu to blow it away and dispel it. [4/4]

[ 4/4 Dendou Enmu no Jutsu [ Electric Fog Technique ] Learned! ]

For this one, it was important for me to learn it. Especially with Shu having Katon, this could protect me if he needed to use a Katon. We would just have to use our best judgement. [1/2] That wasn't the only thing, we would also need to work on communication and many other things. That reminded me, I needed to teach him some code wordings to help us to understand each other in battlefield. With a soft shake of my head, I focused as Suiton surrounded me in a water armor for protection. [2/2]

    [ 2/2 Mizu no Yoroi [ Water Armor ] Learned! ]

Last one to learn! Shu was almost jumping with joy but he didn't dare to try when he noticed the teacher's body language. He seemed uncomfortable. [1/4] He didn't understand why, so he asked the teacher if he was alright. With a nod, the teacher explained that the jutsu was deadly and not to be used lightly. [2/4] Shu had to refrain and keep his muzzle shut from arguing with the teacher. Isn't all jutsu deadly in their own way? The teacher went on to explaining about the jutsu. [3/4] Sure, it seemed deadly but in the Hybrid's mind, all jutsu was deadly. Once he was shown the symbols, Shu had to focus on the Raiton chakra for the last time at the moment, as a powerful bolt escaped from his mouth. Luckily, he pointed it towards the forest as it struck a tree and fried it. He was lucky enough that it didn't set it on fire. With a thankful gratitude to the teacher, Shu gathered up as much scrolls as he could before headed back inside and placed them away. He noticed Hakanai was still training so he found an empty corner and went to take a nap. [4/4]

    [ 4/4 Gian [ False Darkness ] Learned! ]

At last, I was on the last Suiton for me to learn. When I unrolled the scroll, I remembered this one. It was powerful and deadly, something not to be played with that was for sure. [1/4] After all, if a jet of water can cut off a limb, that was meant to not be taken lightly. I read some more, to make sure I understood it. [2/4] The further away I am from the target, the less powerful it could become. That said, meaning if I was sparring or training, I would not use this and could use it far away first as a warning to who I will be really fighting with. [3/4] I felt confident enough for me to be able to try this after few attempt tries of remembering the hand signs. Placed the scroll away, I preformed the hand signs as a powerful jet escaped and went hurling towards the dummy, sliced it in half before it became weak enough that when it hit the other dummy, it just rattled. Whoa. [4/4]

    [ 4/4 Mizu Funkei [ Water Decapitation ] Learned! ]

Once I got back inside, I saw Shu was sleeping. I was right. That means I was really behind. I could learn maybe one or two Fuuton and worry about the rest later. After all... knowledge of jutsu doesn't mean anything. Team work does. I remembered which Fuuton I really wanted to learn. The other can wait. [1/4] With that in mind, I started to look for it. Once I found it, it was the one I was looking for, it could help me with speed and maybe getting to locations in a short amount of time. [2/4] It certainly can help me get to Shu's side immediately if I needed to, or any of my allies. My cold blues glanced over the scroll as I gave it a read over. [3/4] Placed the scroll back into the rack, I started to focus by pushing Fuuton chakra to my feet. Once I did the hand signs, I almost fell over...and I actually did, with a thump onto the ground, I groaned softly. I was so tired. So sleepy. With an exhale, I glanced over to Shu, who woke up because of the noise I made I suppose as I gave him an apologetic smile. He didn't seem to mind as he closed his eyelids and went right back to sleep.

    [ 4/4 Kyoushu no Tokkan [ Assassin’s Rush ] learned! ]

With a sigh, I got up and put the scroll away. It was time for Shu and I to learn some Maruton, but first, I should go ahead and pick some for us so that way, Shu won't be completely grouchy upon waking up when we try. I was so tired but it didn't matter at all. Once I picked out a few, I made my way over to Shu and knelt down beside him. My free hand went to stroke his mane as I brushed it back with my hand, I could feel him start to purr. With a soft smile, my hand gently touched his forehead and then back to mane before it slide onto his cheek as I gently tapped with my finger. I felt a slight rumble, was he grumbling? Slowly, those eyelids of his opened as I tilted my head. Shu got the message as he got up on his fours and stretched by having his butt up in the air and his head lower to the ground. Once he was done, both Hakanai and Shu headed outside.

The first one should be fairly easy for us. Though this was also a good time to teach Shu some more sign language. I started to explain the first one we were going to learn, I had to spell out some words and Shu seemed to be less confused when I was able to spell things out and show the signs. [1/4] The first one we were going to learn was body flicker. It could aid us in the battle especially if we use it well, which means we needed to work on teamwork. [2/4] It wasn't just us that needed to work on it, but I had to learn how to communicate with others somehow. Paper and pen wasn't going to get us anywhere especially if we were in a combat. [3/4] Then again, I was able to manage on my own lately. With a click of my tongue, I got Shu's attention as I did the hand signs and performed the body flicker. It was his turn. I watched him focus and also did it well. I was proud of Shu. [4/4]

[ 4/4 Shunshin no Jutsu [ Body Flicker Technique ] Learned Hakanai and Shu! ]

Moved onto the next one, I rolled up the scroll and handed it to Shu who was willing to put it in a new pile so we wouldn't get confused. I almost forgot about this technique as I read it over and wondered how to explain it to Shu. [1/8] This technique would have us be able to use our clones more advancely. They would be able to interact and seemed more real which could aid Shu and I. [2/8] Only those who were sensors or had other means to notice the difference, would know. This could help us escape for confuse the enemies. [3/8] I decided to go first so Shu could get the hang of it. My eyes glanced over the scroll as I started to memorize the hand signs. [4/8] Once I was comfortable enough, I did them and another part of me had emerged. Shu was curious, he went up to my clone part and started to sniff around. I watched her smile and leaned down to gently pet Shu the same way I would. This was... odd. [5/8] It was really weird. No matter. I ended the jutsu and felt a short of breath. I was getting tired. Shu turned his head to look at me and I could tell that he was concerned. I had to give him a reassuring smile and a shake of my head. [6/8] I tried to distract him by asking him to do the same technique. Shu glared at me for a bit longer before I could see his entire body move. I think that was a sigh? [7/8] He shook his head slightly and started to focus. He remembered the handsigns she did and thought of the symbols as a clone part of Shu appeared. Proud and too tired to continue, Shu ended the jutsu as we went to find Axel. [8/8]

[ Kage Bunshin no Jutsu [ Shadow Clone Technique ] Learned by Hakanai and Shu! ]

With heavy bags under my eyes, I headed back into the academy and put the scrolls away with Shu's help. When we were done, I made my way outside and saw that Kaileer was still sparring with Soraru. What would he think of me? I wasn't worth to be Kumogakure shinobi right now but I was going to do everything to show that I will do anything for Kumo's people. With a deep sigh, I pried my cold blue hues away from the spar and found the red haired male and approached him. I was so tired but I still stood strong. I don't even know what we need to do now so I waited for Axel's orders.

"I am the sword in the Darkness...

He watched one of them leave and the other approach. He looked at Hakanai up and down the same way he had done to the other woman and all he did was frown. She looked tired, and hungry, she should be resting and eating, gathering her strength which seemed to have left her since the last time he saw her, not at the hospital, but before that, during the incident with the Ice Creatures, and even then, he could not remember her clearly, all he had seen was a glance of her eyes, and in them he had seen nothing but rage and pain. Now they just seemed empty. Axel extended his hand to his friend waiting for the notebook to be given to him, if it was, he would write: “Did you get some training done? And I think you should rest before the mission, you look like you need it. Oh, and this is… I can’t remember her name, but she is in our squad. Apparently.”

With a flick of his hand, Axel drew Iron Sand from the ground and molded it into a quiver to hold the twenty arrows he had remaining. Then, he placed the arrows within the quiver. He tightly gripped on to the bow once he was done and then sent chakra on to his free hand. In the blink of an eye, his hand shot to the quiver which was now strapped on to his back, retrieved a single arrow, knocked it, and then fired. He did it again with a second arrow, letting it fly while the first was still midflight, and once again for a third arrow.
    [Quick Knock]

The three arrows landed at different points of the bulls’ eye, he wasn’t very accurate with it, but it allowed him to get a couple of shots in without much delay. For the next one, he would use the bull’s eye he had created at a further distance. From where he stood, he could barely see it, he was aware of where it was, but it would be a much bigger challenge for the Chunin to hit this one as it would be compared to the other ones. To remedy this, Axel focused charka on to his left eye, and suddenly, the world around him got clearer, he could see details that he thought would not be possible at this distance, and more importantly, he could see the target that was furthest away.
    [Hawk’s Eye]

Finally, he would do one more thing before ending this quick round of quick weapon training. The boy lowered his bow and opened the palm of his hands. He closed his eyes and imaged an arrow resting upon it. Then, he sent chakra on to his hand. His black chakra began to dance in the palm of his hands, as if alive, and then, it began to set, cementing itself in the form of a single, pure, black arrow. Using the Hawk’s Eye technique he had activated, Axel trained his left eye on to the far away target, knocked the black chakra arrow on to the bow, and let it lose instantly. The arrow hit the mark and made a dent in the second tier ring and then dissipated.
    [Arrow Creation]

From there, he looked on to Hakanai and Shu. He would sigh, and speak to Shu. “How is she? She doesn’t look too well…”

-----{ A } clamour of steel on steel was the first noise the giant known as Wanryoku registered as he entered the Dojo's groups. Each footstep rattled nearby glass on the street lamps and the wood of the dojo itself, but he cared not to walk lighter. Monitoring his steps was a pain that for the moment he simply did not give any metaphorical shits about, not when exhaustion and worry were so heavily at the front of his mind. Exhaustion, of course, coming from punching that whale into the upper atmosphere, whereas the worry came from the genin who had finally made their way out of the village and on to a possible confrontation with his people. That they were here at all even in possibility brought trepidation to the giant, for he knew what it would mean.
-----Sighing quietly, he meandered further towards the sounds of combat, eyes scanning for anyone recognizable, anyone to whom he could just...talk. Few moments had passed in which he could sit, think, and drink a tankard or two with a good set of friends. Since coming here there had been only two opportunities, and one had ended in quite a bit of death. The other had ended with becoming that creature known as Santa Clause, or however one spelled it, though that had been very fun indeed. Perhaps this year he would do it again! The thought brought a short smile to Wanryoku's face that slid quickly from his lips as he rounded a corner towards where he'd once trained Olympia and saw the source of the clashing of blades: Soraru, and Kaileer.
-----Of the things the jounin had expected to see here, the Raikage fighting his proverbial twin was quite low on the list. So much so, in fact, that he stopped where he was and remained still to observe the clashing of their blades. Due to lack of attention Wanryoku had somehow mistook the clashing of wood as the exchange of bladed edges, but that spoke well of the force behind their strikes to cause his mind, even tired as it was, to mistake that sound. Still, it was the fact that the Raikage had returned and no one had told him despite his orders meant that Kaileer had snuck in. Perhaps this was to view just how well he'd done in leading the village in the younger male's absence? If so, what then? What had Kaileer seen, and what had he thought? The pain in his gut told him his answer, though it was one he didn't wish to address. Despite his best intentions many Genin had seemingly taken him up on his offer and had either left the Shinobi ranks or left the village entirely. 'Cowards', he could say, but in reality what Kaileer wanted, and what Wanryoku wanted, for the future of this village required some 'tough love', and it had cost them.
-----Sighing in annoyance, and in the noticing that standing there looking like an idiot was entirely getting him nowhere, the giant's eyes continued to move about until he found another recognizable face. This time his faze settled upon the young boy named Hono, whom, according to others, had helped nursed him back to life when the cold had nearly stolen his life's breath from his body. The memories of that night were fuzzy at best, though Wanryoku knew on some level that they not only existed, but thrived, deep within his mind, layered beneath sensations of numbness and cold. Since that day he had not approached the boy, knowing from the look he always cast upon the giant that something had happened, something intimidating, and for that he likely had to thank his size. It had kept the jounin away, not necessarily afraid but most definitely filled with worry as to just how Hono responded to him. Seeing fear in any young charge's expression wrenched at his heart, for it brought back memories he would better leave forgotten.
                -----At least, for now.
-----Sighing once more, hopefully for the last time this encounter, Wanryoku lowered his brother to the ground and felt a small amount of amusement come through their bond. Snorting with a small smirk, he rapped the ball with a knuckle several times in rapid succession, a sign that he not only heard, but understood. Clearly his brother found it hilarious that Wanryoku found such a small person worthy of fear and caution. Well, Zangai just hadn't been around for the expressions, and couldn't see them even if he was, not in the same way others perceived anyway, and thus couldn't understand. Untangling the chain from his arm, he walked towards the two warriors with that same, small smile, as if everything were right with the world. Instead of coming between them, the Jounin instead moved towards where Hono stood and raised his voice to be heard by Kaileer. "Greetings, Shuhan. Welcome home." Words that only Kaileer himself would know, the name Wan's people called their leaders. Coming to rest before Hono, however, he held out a hand in greeting. "Hello. I hear you help me during blizzard."

    xxx❝ Come and save me,
    I'm losing my
    mind
    Waiting and waiting...

    || ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ •• ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ||x

The moment the red haired warrior had extended his hand out for my notebook, I handed it over with no problems. While waiting for him to finish, I glanced over to the sparring boys and watched Kaileer for a moment. Was he at least enjoying himself? Getting himself a peace of mind he needed? I wouldn't know. He wasn't here when I needed him the most but I understood. He was a Raikage. He can't always be there for me when I wanted him by my side for me to hug. Speaking of hugs, I had a sudden urge to hug Shu and not let go. I couldn't explain it. Usually, I'm not a huge fan of hugs but lately... with everything that had been happening, I couldn't help but to feel empty and numb, craving for warmth. What did that room do to me? No. I knew it right then it wasn't the room's fault or anyone. It was my own fault for lashing out at my previous squad leader. Speaking of her, where was she...? I had not seen her and that made my body feel so much heavier as been wrapped by an extremely heavy blanket. What have I done? I wanted to heal her but they wouldn't let me, not that I could blame them. Did... did I kill her? I needed to find those answers soon to what happened to her. When Axel was done and handed over my notebook, I reached slightly and started to read. My brows furrowed as a slight frown appeared on my face. Was he really concerned about me? The cold blue hues of mine glanced from the notebook and towards the red haired shinobi and watched him train for a moment. I wasn't the only one tired. It was obvious he was exhausted. Had he even slept since they had returned? Speaking of they, I glanced over to Soraru, he seemed tired too. And he wasn't the only one, his sparring partner does too. Was it being a Raikage? Was it becoming heavy for his shoulders? Does anyone sleep anymore for ******** sake? With a shook of my head about hypocrites, I glanced down to read some more. Apparently, we do have someone else on the squad and he cannot remember her name but I assumed he meant that woman who healed me even though I didn't needed it. Grabbed my pen in my shoulder bag, I started to write. I paused for a moment, unsure of how to put down my words without seeming like I'm targeting him.

Shu lets out another large whining yawn as he heard Axel's voice. His ears twitched slightly. "Neither do you." He responded honestly as he was straight to the point. He leaned forward with his front paws extended and his lower upper body barely touching the ground as he could feel his spine popping in several places. With a satisfied groan, the hybrid laid down on the ground and simply just watched around while his ears rotated now and then to listen. The moment I was done writing, I glanced at the notebook and made sure it didn't come off as rude or offensively. It explained that I was tired but it also had a few words for my squad leader. Just a simple word or two. All I could do was to hope that these words wouldn't get me into trouble. Being confined in that cage had really changed my perspective. Handed the notebook over, I crossed my arms and waited. "I had lack of sleep the last several days. I'm not the only one that's tired, you are too. The bags underneath your eyes are really heavy and Shu managed to get little sleep, if he did, that means you may not even had sleep yet and neither did Soraru who I believe went with you on a dangerous mission. If you even dare to tell me to get some rest, I'll refuse until you do." While watching his body language, I turned my head slightly to look at the female that was to be in our squad. She seems to be just chilling. I don't even recognize her and I been around, especially at the hospitals. I sign two words at Shu, "Scent, familiar?" He shook his head at me. So that means, she wasn't around enough for him to recognize the scent. Interesting. Right now, my focus was on Axel and I could introduce myself to the female later. Turned my head back to the ginger samurai as I waited. The road to recovery was long for him and I wasn't sure how I could help him. Wan seemed to put that on my shoulders and all I could do was to hope I wouldn't fail to show the chuunin before me what Wan meant by his words. Next thing I knew, I felt Shu's fur next to my leg, causing me to jumped slightly and frown as I glanced down at him. Puzzled and confused, I found six candies? Squatted down, I picked them up. Where in the world they came from? I glanced towards Shu who simply shrugged. With a smile, I stroke his ears as he purred.
