((Kero: Jump, why is your date a sixteen year old?
Jump: Um, well-
Kero: You won't woo Artemis by dating younger women.
Jump: ...
Kero: Just tell her how you feel.

-later-
Jump: Your dad gave me relationship advice.
Zack: I'm sorry.))

wandering the town once again, the boy ended up in a dark ally way, following the sound of music. the music became stronger the farther down he went, till it lead to a shady bar. there he saw a man playing a beautiful tune on his guitar. the child decided to sit and listen for awhile. noticing the child, the man smiled and continued playing. kenta spent hours listening to the man play. he wasnt sure what drew him to the music, it just seemed to make the stress and insanity of this city fade away.
after a while, the man handed kenta a flute. kenta looked up at the man and he smiled at the child and nodded, then continued to play. the child looked at the metal tube for a minute, then brought it to his lips. it took afew trys, but kenta seemed to have a tallent for the flute. soon enough, he was playing the same lovely tune as the man was.
awhile later, the man simply stoped. his song reverbirated through the room for awhile. kenta stoped shortly after and looked up at the musician. the man smiled. no words passed his lips. he simply nodded and kenta knew the song was something special. the child stood, gave a simple "thank you" to the man, and left the bar. as he set foot out the door, the man started playing again.

When Hiba finaly came around, The First Thing he noticed was the Sun still shining Brightly in the Sky. Right after coming around, he couldn't recall what exactly happened.

He remembered Swimming in the harbor with Jaw's, the under water current Change, The feeling of Drowning then a Bright light.

"Jaw's!" he exclaimed remembering what had happened. But as soon as he turned to Face the Big Jaw Pokemon, Whom he expected to be met by an evolved Feraligator. However, Jaw's appeared The same as Every day, a Croconaw.

"D-didn't you evolve down there?" He asked, Jaw's replied with a Confused Look. Slowly Shaking his head. sure, Hiba might have been in between unconscious and conciseness but he was about 59% sure that the light he'd seen was Jaw's Evolution.

Whatever, he couldn't ponder It anymore, His head was pounding and his body was sore.Standing, he took his Bag and X-tranceiver from His Pokemon and Made his way to towards the Pokemon Center.

___________________________________________________

Tk slowly Waved to the Pokemon Ranger as he took off. 'Yea right, like you'll be getting a Call from me any time soon' Tk was still pretty sore about the whole 'Misunderstanding', but he was worried about that anymore, he had Lancer back and thats all that mattered.

The Small Bug Pokemon Looked up at his Trainer whom he'd been Reunited with and grinned. He enjoyed his Time with N, but he missed Tk.

Tk Smile Back at his Pokemon, elated that they'd been reunited. However, The youth looked around at the Buildings, attempting to deduce the source of the shock wave, to no avail.

"C'mon Spike" Tk recalled Spike to his Pokeball.

Clicking his heels together, He released the Roller blade's from his Shoe's, Starting on his way towards the Pokemon Center. Knowing HIba, That'd be where he was or was Heading.

((Luka sure is lucky Darumi beat the crap out of that Leavanny for him, otherwise he'd so have lost.

I base this off of the thing taking two or three 4x effective hits to put down, probably a crazy amount more damage than Tayla managed to achieve.))

((.......That wasn't Luka singing. That was the music on the speakers. xd

And.... your theory would probably be true, apart from the fact that Tayla got a lot of brutal attacks (The kicks and the punches) which would've been normal damage, so, that coupled with two 2x effective hits probably equals about the same amount of damage. Eh, whatever floats your boat.))

((2x2=4=/=12=3x4
Darumi's damage output is superior to tayla's,))

((I never said that that bit was the same. It's more like 2x2+8 which then equals the twelve that you so desire.

I may not have mentioned it or made it obvious, but, in the "furious contest of blows" they are hitting each other, I just used two examples. Then you have the pseudo-Slash attack which may or may not have been a critical hit and the Struggle Bug hit 4 times and whether or not you count that as one move or not, or whether you only count the first hit or two as the Struggle Bug, there are still enough hits to roughly equal 12.

But, I will admit that Darumi probably did do, overall, more damage but some of that would be overkill damage.

It doesn't really matter though, because in the end, the whole point of that battle was to get the badge and have Tayla evolve. razz

EDIT: Eh. The Leavanny has been changed to a different one. Now let's move on.))

the child wandered around town, mostly in the park area , playing the song he learned from the man in the bar. while he wandered, he wondered what kept him from leaving this city. mabye he should just go, but something seemed to keep him here.

Luka looked at his watch. It was edging towards 6pm. Hopefully, Henrietta would've been done with his hotel room by now and he would be able to get showered and ready for the Plasma Banquet. But first, he had to get to the Pokémon Centre to heal up his team and revive Squirt. So, that's exactly what he did.

It didn't take nearly as long this time around and it made Luka wonder what the hell had gone on before, but, now was not the time for worrying. Things were finally looking up. He'd beaten Burgh, and even if he had lost to Henrietta quite easily today things were certainly getting better. After leaving the Pokémon Centre Luka made his way back to the pier to wait for Henrietta.

When he got there he looked out at the ocean and smiled. The shining sun in the sky seemed to call out to him. Today was certainly a good day.

after hours of playing his new flute and thinking in the park (and passerbys throwing coins to him for some strange reason), the child found out what he had to do. he had over heared the people in the city mentioning something called the plazma banquet. one conversation had mentioned where it was, and it happend to be in the same building his enemys took the pokemon from liberty garden. ((he has yet to actually learn the orginizations name, or that of the fire pokemon that escaped, although i did use them afew times before, kenta hasnt. but at this point he put 2 and 2 together.)) kenta knew that he had to go tonight, if nothing more than to know more about his enemy and their motives.

"Aw, I can't take that," Wayne said as the balance on his trainer card rose by a couple of notches. "You look so..."

Pathetic. But how did you say that diplomatically?

"Not pathetic but... something..."

Duosion's membrane somehow managed to contort itself into a facepalm. Then he sniggered. Wayne rubbed the back of his head as he tried to think of what to say.

He wasn't experiencing much of a confidence boost here. The shockwaves had been sudden, but he figured that TV would explain everything to him later. The way they made him feel was similiar, however, to the rush he got when he battled with his old team.

Weird.

"Hey! I saw Tess today. You are still her cousin, aren't you? She said she'll be at that Plasma party thing tonight. You should come! I got a friend who's giving me clothes but I bet she'll have a spare dress or whatever for you to borrow."

((So from what I gather, pretty much the only important things that have been happening are battles right? And some other things?
So anyways, Avan and Girl are in the city now -3-
Finally...after forever. I missed you guys. And hello to the new people.))

A ring of white ash encompassed her. One could tell it had been further seared into the surrounding black forest floor, which was still fresh from the previous day. The girl tapped a khakkhara into the ground. "Tria, would you please purify the grounds?" She breathed. A Roselia that had been standing just outside the circle perked up and waltzed up to the border, taking careful consideration not to cross it. From the lavender and white rose-like flowers that adorned her as hands, came small, green seeds. These smaller-than-usual seeds spread around the girl in the circle, taking root and glowing a faint red. And from them erupted green, vine-like plants that neatly filled the circle. The faint red grew dark for just a moment, then faded away; a moment passed and tiny red and white berry-like spheres sprouted from the vines.

The girl nodded in thanks; her black hair bouncing ever so slightly as she did. The Roselia twirled, curtsied, and stepped back. As she did, a loud pounding came from nearby. Dull, steady thumping of the ground, like a slow heartbeat as if from the forest itself. The girl waved the khakkhara in front of herself. Swish, swish. Once, twice, ended with a twirl, and back into the ground in front of her. She pressed her hands together as if to pray and began to chant. The words, low and sullen, were foreign. An eerie wind started to blow. By coincidence? Or by an unseen force? It wasn't paid attention to by the girl, who would be half way through the chant. Her white skirt caught the wind and flowed in it. The rings on the khakkhara chimed as they were moved by this wind and created a soft melody that filled the air when mixed with the thumping.

The chant soon came to an end. The wind settled and the thumping came to an abrupt stop. And all of a sudden, it was silent; as if the entire forest had stopped just for her; but of course, it was soon alive with faint chirps and buzzes of the Pokemon that still remained. The girl took a deep breath of the morning air, taking a moment before letting it back out. "So much life lost." She muttered. "It's the least I can do."

The khakkhara was removed from the ground and placed in a sling on her back. Stepping out of the circle, she lowered her hand to the Roselia, who hopped into it and stood gracefully. "Thank you, my dear." The Roselia chirped and then disappeared in a beam of red light and back into her Pokeball. The girl then turned to face a large clown-nosed Pokemon, just a bit away, with two large concrete pillars, where the ground under them looked to be pounded in. No words were exchanged; she smiled awkwardly, the Pokemon grunted, and another silence was struck. An awkward one. She sighed to herself and returned that Pokemon as well.

From a nearby tree a red monkey leapt down to join the girl at her side. He was munching on a Pecha Berry he had managed to find amongst the destruction of the forest. Not that he would have bragged or anything, well, on second thought maybe he would have, but finding sweets in a "sweetless place" was something he was good at. She patted him on the head, his fur warm to the touch. "I guess we should be on our way then?" She asked the monkey. It was a rhetorical question anyways, but she liked to have sort of confirmation. But without any answer needed, she began to walk and the monkey followed.

It was a new day for the boy. He had awoken sometime around eight or nine (He didn't know or care enough to check) but laid with his head under the covers for another good hour or so just thinking. And there was a lot to think about. The Munna that ate his dreams nightly probably knew of this, but he as well didn't care enough to rouse the boy from his bed. For even the Munna, after being caught up last night, knew of the previous day's occurrences-- the race to retrieve the skull, Chuck, that Krokorok, fire, more fire, and putting it out. So much was running through the boy's head at that particular moment, like everything was just now hitting him; and he was sore, mentally and physically sore and exhausted. Was that a cold he felt coming on? After all, that rain was a bit much to handle. After getting warm again he did feel better, so he could only hope that he didn't get sick.

Another thirty minutes or so passed and he finally moved. He groaned as he lifted his head off his pillow, his medium-long brown hair sticking to his face. The Munna who was sitting nearby floated upward to examine the boy. "I'm...fine...get out of...my face." The boy grumbled, not feeling up to real talking. Baku, the Munna, gave what one could only describe as a shrug. Though coming from such a body, it was just weird and awkward.

Avan stumbled into the bathroom and disappeared for another hour and a half. Meanwhile, Munna took the opportunity to meditate and focus his metal abilities.

When the boy emerged, he was a completely different person. A look of bliss on his face, he floated over to the bed humming a soft tune. "Ahh.." He broke his tune, "Showers are great. So refreshed." That was the truth. If there was something little that the boy appreciated, it was a hot shower.

It didn't take long for Avan to change into street clothes, although a bit reluctantly, seeing as how he was slowly but surely losing his wardrobe to fires and people that wanted to kill him. It was a bit upsetting, but all that would change once he reached Castelia. It would be shopping time. Though for now, he'd return his room key and head out on to the streets of Nacrene.

The gravel crunched under his feet as he worked his way to the Gymseumbrary. Before the skull incident, there were still a few subjects he wanted to research in one of Unova's greatest libraries. A few things on the Pokemon he carried with him and a few other things that would only serve him later in time. And inside the library portion of the large building, he found exactly what he was looking for. He sat at a desk and pulled out a pair of reading glasses from his bag. He didn't actually need glasses, but Avan liked the way they looked on him, especially in such a setting as a library.

After some reading and mental note taking, he returned the books and headed back out. Outside he called out Munna. [How'd everything go?]

"Just fine," Avan replied aloud to the Munna's voice in his head. "Thanks." The boy began a leisurely stroll, the pink pokemon followed beside him, toward the western exit of the city to the forest. "Once we get to Castelia we should find a place a to train." This peeked the Pokemon's curiosity.

[Oh?] This was unlike the boy that the pokemon knew. [What's the occasion?]

"No occasion really." Avan took a few elongated steps and settled back into casual gait. There was silence between the two for some time until they reached the Pinwheel Forest.

The sight was disheartening. So much was gone. He took a heavy breath in.

Avan sighed. "Baku," He rested his hands on the back of his head. The floating Pokemon turned to the boy. "I'm tired of it. Losing, I mean. It's so hard, on all of us." He unconsciously touched his bag which held the two other members of 'Team Avan'.

[Then get stronger.] Baku told bluntly.

"I know." The smallest smile took the boy's lips. "And that's why I DO want to get stronger. With ALL of you." He took a breath. "In the library I had a chance to get some good info; and I also had a chance to think. All this time we've been traveling, I've been refusing to call myself a trainer. I wanted to deny that so much, it wasn't something at all that I wanted to do. But now...we've gotten ourselves into something much bigger than ourselves or our journey for your dreams. If we're to continue down this path then I do have to accept myself as trainer."

[You? My trainer?]

"Please Baku. I know this partnership was based on both of us getting what we want from each other. My dreams being eaten, and you getting various, rare dreams...but now we'll actually have to work together. Trainer and Pokemon." Avan smiled at Baku, "I'd even go so far as to say friends."

[Tch.] The Pokemon sneered, hiding something else.

Avan chucked. "Yeah I know, so sorry. But you think I want to be friend with you too?" The sarcasm was heavy. "I'd just like your help with this, and your approval on this. I can only imagine things getting harder from now on." Baku couldn't help but agree.

[Fine. But we aren't forgetting about those dreams. ]

"Of course. We'll only put those on the side for now. We'll keep an eye out." Relieved, Avan's paced pick up. "Phew. I was sure that'd take more convincing." He said to himself, aloud, but not very.

[What was that!?]

"Nothing!"

*

Eventually the two reached Sky Arrow Bridge. It didn't have the same feel to it as it would have been to someone who was just seeing it for the first time, since Avan had already crossed this bridge a couple of times now, but it was still quite a sight. But mostly it was just a large bridge. Nothing to see here.

To Avan's delight, there were cabs in wait for crossers. Walking would take awhile and Avan wanted to get to Castelia as soon as possible. Plus, why walk when you can have someone drive you? He hailed one and soon he was in route for the big city.

What was that? What was that scent on the wind? That familiar scent. It had smelt it before. Was it? Could this be who the little puppy was looking for? After traveling so far, had it found him? The Lillipup ran through the forest as fast as it's little legs could carry it. When it reached it's destination, it saw him. The owner of the bloody jacket. The familiar scent was all over him. This was the first time the Pokemon had seen him. From afar he didn't look very impressive at all. But as the Lillipup looked on, the human had gotten into a cab. The pokemon barked and started to chase as the cab drove away; faster than a creature of it's stature could keep up.

The Pokemon whimpered, barked, and whimpered again. Now what? Would it even dare try to cross that bridge? What was a bridge anyways? The Pokemon had no clue. It circled in place and stared out at the bridge.

"So," A voice came from behind, startling it. "This is where you ran off to?" The Lillipup jumped around to see who it was. It was girl, with a red monkey beside her. The same girl who was chasing it just the other day. It lowered it's front, hind in the air. She pointed, "You want to cross that bridge? You'll never make it on your own. A little Pokemon all by itself? Something could happen, you could even get caught. And what would happen then?" The girl took a step forward. The weary Pokemon growled softly. "I was going to cross that bridge, you know?" The Lillipup's ears perked up high. The girl took one more step closer. "You could, you know, come with me." She knelt down, offering her hand toward the little dog-like Pokemon. "It'd be much better of a trip. Slowly, but carefully, the Lillipup inched his way to her hand and sniffed it. It didn't seem so bad. And this girl seemed nice. But why help him? "You're a curious one." The girl said, "You were in Nacrene by yourself? Looking for someone maybe? I could help you." The little puppy snuck in a bit closer and laid on it's back; the girl scratched it's tummy. What a push-over. She thought.

Before she scooped up the little puppy and cradled him, she returned the red monkey at her side. The Lillipup squirmed in her arms to look out across the bridge. Catching this, "Don't worry. We'll get across that bridge with out too much trouble," And with out missing a beat she tapped a pokeball at her waist -a habit she picked up from a friend- and what appeared was a Xatu. "Could you please take us to Castelia?" She asked it. The xatu cocked it's head up, then down, then out across the bidge, it's eyes flashing, and nodded. The Lillipup began to shake at the sight of the Flying-type. "Don't worry little guy. Teleportation is just fine." The girl placed a hand atop the bird's head, "Once you get used to it anyways..." She mumbled.

"To Castelia." And in the blink of an eye, they were gone. Moments later they'd appear on the streets of the big city. The girl shook it off, as did the Lillipup. "Thank you...Reya." At those words, the girl handed over an ordinary pokeball to the psychic pokemon, who lifted it to her side via her mental abilities. "Please tell him I said thanks, but I think for now I'll continue on foot."

The Xatu huffed and disappeared at once. "Moody one she is." The girl exclaimed. Lillipup squirmed once again, who was almost successful this time, but was caught by the girl's quick reflexes. "Oh no you don't." She held him up to meet him face to face. "We'll look together. A country pokemon doesn't fair well in the city by itself." The Lillipup didn't argue.

***

In however much time it would take a cab to cross the bridge, that's when Avan arrived in Castelia. He was glad to be back somewhere he felt at home.

((Ugh...that seemed like a lot more when I was typing it.
Oh...and the "berry-like things on the leech seed, are just aesthetic. 'Cause it's called Mistletoe Seed in japanese...and that's what mistletoe looks like...
And I'll probably get around to the girl's profile...sometime...eventually...when I get her drawn. If anyone would like to help with that...*cough*Mars*cough* *cough*hint*cough*...I'd be most obliged to accept...))
