Echo took a moment to collect herself and make sure that was indeed the snitch. It didn't seem like Nora had noticed it yet, which meant, Echo thought, she had an advantage. Echo continued her steady lap around the pitch, pretending to still be searching.

With all the Bludgers flying around, Ron knew it was only a matter of time before he was the target of the Snakes' attentions. Sure enough, he felt an iron cannonball slam hard enough into his right leg that he heard bones snap, and pain knifing through him. He grimaced and let out a yelp, as he closed the range on the hoops. 'Better a leg than my shooting arm,' he told himself, as he lined up and took his shot.

Jaelah hoped not to disappoint her captain and team, the beaters weren't doing great, well - Erikk was at least he had hit the other team a couple of times, but...he had also hit himself. Jaelah wondered if this was going to be another hospital wing trip for her friend, or if he would actually walk off the pitch this time.

Mid thought thinking about Erikk - she saw Ron throw the quaffle toward her, toward the hoops. She threw herself to the left to try and catch it.

'That was a pretty craptastic shot,' thought Ron sourly as he watched it get easily fielded by Slytherin's Keeper, and he was more than a little annoyed with how the match was going thus far. 'Snakes are mocking me, and rightly so. Haven't done anything to make them think this won't be a walkover for them.' He swung his mount around and started to chase after Karah, and try to get another shot at the goals.
