Larai chuckled and gave a small wave before heading into her own room. First things first, she could use a nice nap!
"I have to share your sentiments on the birth thing. It hurts. Really, really, really bad." Mala said, recalling the previous births she went through. "You heard me swear and agonize about it the entire time, as I recall."

"I know, I went through it with you when you had Anise, remember?" Van said with a smile. "Although I'm not sure how this is going to work with this thing..." he said looking down at his tail. "If I have to push a baby through the entire length of my tail, then this is going to suck hard."

"I highly doubt that's the case." Mala assured Van, now lightly rubbing his back with her hand. "Maybe there's some secret hole somewhere that shows itself during birth. Maybe the baby is held half-term or so and somehow transferred to the female after a certain stage of development. We'll find out soon enough."
{I have a few ideas to keep this going as well as it is~
1. Larai somehow gets caught by the guards and gets rescued by an only-just-arriving Kai? Or vice-versa?
2. A drinking contest between Larai, Kai, and Daemon. If only because that'd be bloody damn hilarious.
3. Jaquel and Ariae run into Larai just as she finishes stealing something.
4. Daemon and Larai run into Milly.}

"Watch, by then I'll have somehow started to enjoy this." Van said with a chuckle. "If being half snake means I'm the one giving birth now, then I'll just have to learn to live with that too." he said smiling down at his tummy.
((And we can't forget dragging Riley back in for a bit to gawk in confusion. XD ))

{Then how about we do them all in order? biggrin If only for teh lulzorz. Also, I thought about suggesting Riley finding Larai stealing instead, but I wasn't sure. Also, if we do the first idea, who gets captured? Kai or Larai?}

"As for the stretch marks, I know some spells to get rid of those. Don't ask where I got them." Mala said with a chuckle.
The next day, Larai had gone out for a walk. Before she knew it, she was reccognised by a pissed off guard even despite the hood. Before she had even a chance to make her dashing escape, she was captured. Now, she was being escorted in chains - and an embarrassingly revealing outfit they forced her to wear lest she face immediate execution - to the barracks to be dealt with.

"I'm pretty sure they have skin cream or something, but magic works too." Van said with a chuckle before sighing slightly. "I guess we should probably get to work refurnishing Larai's room then for the baby. Preferably while I can still do at least some manual labor."
"Well then. That's not good." Daemon muttered with a frown as he stood in the back of a small crowd that had gathered to see the latest criminal.

Larai, being as she was, didn't let herself show any fear. Instead, she kept a shamelessly flirty and smug demeanor the whole time. Sometimes she would wink at a few choice members of the crowd, sometimes she would blow a kiss here or there. Larai held a stride in her step, as if she would be escaping at any given moment.
"No, I'll do it, Van. You wouldn't let me work at all when I was preggers, so why should you?" Mala asked, almost teasingly.

((Ah, I just realized, I've been forgetting to tell you of the shenanigans during my DnD groups. XD Here are some highlights so far (from only two weeks):
- Lacking in monster figures, we have to use a small variety of dice for monsters. Red dice are particularly strong monsters. Our second encounter featured one red die attacking the same party member ninety percent of the time, so now said party member has a vendetta against all red dice.
- We all come back from a snack break while our party is stopped at a door, and suddenly everyone is making random checks against the door. One person wanted to intimidate the door, while another rolled a particularly high diplomacy check against the door, leading the DM to say "The door tells you NOTHING."
- The DM got tired of coming up with fantastic death explanations for the monsters we were killing (we were going after a kobold cult), leading the night to be filled with exploding kobolds. Seriously, every time we killed one, the DM would just go "And the kobold explodes." XD))
"Well, I am still the man of the house." Van said, pausing a moment to look down at his tail. "Well, half man." Another pause to look down at his pregnant stomach. "Okay, quarter man." he said with a bit of a sheepish smile.
Cue a pair of small magical blasts of pure white light flying from the crowd to take out the guards escorting Larai.

"Well, you'll always be 100% man and 1000% mine to me." Mala replied warmly, hugging Van close once more.
Larai grinned a wicked grin, and bolted for the shadows as soon as possible. She was wondering just when Kai would get his lazy a** over here!

((Said vendetta holder and I have decided to change our AIM statuses weekly according to the week's shenanigans. Right now I have "The door tells you NOTHING" and the vendetta holder has "Can I roll to intimidate the door?" And shenanigans is my new favorite word. XD ))
Van smiled warmly as he placed his free hand on top of Mala's arms. "Alright, just don't hesitate to call if you need a hand. I guess I'll go ahead and write Riley." he said with a bit of a smirk, still amused by the mental image of his expression.
"And I thought you called yourself a master thief?" Kai said with a smirk as he waited for Larai in a nearby alleyway with his arms folded.
