"I wonder if all your litter mates were going to be different elements as well...and if so how would two parents be able to produce such diverse pups when such complex things must go on internally to for example prevent the water from boiling away, probably conducting electricity where it shouldn't, and possibly from carrying poison to more sensitive organs... that's three completely different systems that the theory of evolution couldn't explain... and if it isn't some marvelous complex genetics that are able to scientifically explain what is going on, then maybe it is more magical... so wouldn't a shot from that gun do a number on you internally and may kill you?Though people haven't been able to explain vampirism in such terms either so the effects may be similar... but we aren't created that way in the womb either..." said Veni puzzling over the hounds in his head.... sure vampires created vampires with different powers, but they were all usually related in a way... the masters of his line generally had some power that related to spooking out a person or suffering in general. He figured his was a fear of things popping out of the shadows to get you, Rosemary was a boogy man or something worse, and Ma Jian-Shen was the finale painful suffering after being spooked if the vampires went in that order. There were a few others he could think of but currently it was unclear to him if the child sized ones were going to be masters with a specific talent like them, only time would tell, but maybe theirs was creepy life size dolls... they pulled that one off well and tended to dress that way too...
To Thas. "Who else is coming home with us other than you and Eztli," Sephiroth was obvious because he lives there already so she didn't feel the need to mention him, "or is it a secret?"

"We're not supposed to receive our elemental abilities until after Childbirth." Veni's pondering was answered softly by Banquo, "This is why so few of us exist...there are things that kill the pups before the elements are...solidified within us. The power may run through our bodies as newborns...but it is rarely expressed before our sixth month." "Nee was a rare case. She seemed to hate the world already." Ban's mate replied. "We are not entirely sure how our bodies work...but it is in our genetics. Evolutionists might not be able to explain us. Our systems are entirely complex."

"The angel Ralis will accompany us back as well, along with a few warriors. You'll remember him as the ice and lightning wielding angelic that assisted in retrieving Adira that one day."
It may also be wise to seek out the latest in weaponries from Bithmar if you haven't already done so, Rosemary."
- - - - - -
Eztli simply nodded... trusting Sylin completely wouldn't be wise entirely until the demon had proved himself. Hopefully it wouldn't cost anyone important their lives.
"I understand..."

Rosemary mentally showed Thas her armaments; Limboian Heavy Suppressor, a sniper who has yet to be named, Stunning Leecher, elite armor, and the desert baby eagle handguns. There was also the mystery world gun she had out too.

Interesting, but if it's been a little while since you got some of those weapons, there may be a few more advanced upgrades you can get for them. Bithmar usually stays ontop of the weapon technologies.
I got these armaments in October...Bithmar hadn't mentioned any upgrades when I saw him last.
"Well, if all is settled for now, I suggest we return to the party for the time being. It would be best to keep up normal appearances for a little while longer at least."
Sylin simply nodded, was handed a disguise rune by someone, and transformed back into his more humanoid-ish appearance. The group then went back to what they were doing, enjoying the party while certain members kept a watchful eye out for anything suspicious.
Sylin, sensing that it would not do well to be near Adira as she would probably mistrust him greatly right now, did what he could to stay out of her way for now. Instead, he observed the people that outed him, with much less ill intent now.
- - - - -
Salanio growled as he searched through the Lazeranos' Limboian home. He made extra sure that there was nobody home and that the security forces that often protected it weren't around before he intruded. He was mentally unstable, not stupid.
Another dead end. Adira hadn't been here either, nor those b***h pets of hers. His fur crackled with electricity. Zipping out, he headed for the meeting point with Sylin later on. The damned gunner demon had better have some useful information for them all to go on, or Heegh was going to be royally pissed. He didn't want Heegh pissed at him, no sir.
According to what they last heard from the disguised demon, he was supposed to be scouting out a possible location where Adira and her hounds could be taking refuge. Unfortunately it was a literal fortress full of holiness that he couldn't take a single step into. It was hard enough to walk on the grounds of the place without pain. Idly, he wondered how the past Satan, Lucifer, had managed it years ago. Heegh didn't seem so kin on invading the Soul Fortress for some reason. Salanio actually wouldn't call it cowardice on his part either, like Nym would. That was short sightedness. This was something that he and Nee would agree upon. Heegh was getting smarter all the time, and chosing not to invade Limbo again was smart. The realm has had time to fully recover and strengthen their holy and military armies.
Giving an electrical hiss, Sal jumped up behind some trees and nabbed a flying lizard creature in his maw, landing nimbly behind some bushes to silence it's screeches by snapping it's elongated neck. A little snack wouldn't hurt while he waited, he figured, as he tore into it's once beautifully colorful marked scaly skin, ripping off it's feathery wings and chewing on the flesh from it's bones.

"Thanks." Adira replied, her eyes lit up"Oh! It looks as if they're back." Her eyes were lovingly on her two hounds, who entered the room at a casual trot. Each of the hounds appeared to be deep in thought. ----
Nerissa's paws fell lightly on the moist ground. It was dead silent except for the inhale, exhale she required. She had just paid a visit to a few of Limbo's other residents. She moved, lethal. No one had been home. No succubus scent. Nee's stomach grumbled. She slowed into a trot. Her eyes searched, although in vain. Every tree was dead. Nothing stirred. Her pinkish-green tongue lolled out of her mouth and she licked her jaws. They stung for the briefest moment, Nee didn't stop; she didn't care. She was almost to the meeting place. Nee started sprinting once more.
-------
Nym was not the fastest of the three hounds--of all he was probably the slowest. Salanio took the cake for the fastest. Rissa was next. Both of the hounds had the element of Energy from their mother. Nym wasn't as lucky. Her bristled in irritation. He was still exceptionally fast but he wasn't the best. The greatest.
Nym was running back to the portal Heegh had opened to Earth. The human world. Nym looked around himself in disgust. He was a wolf of slate color. Ugly. His surroundings were too green. What had that house had to do with anything. Heegh was getting sloppier. The residents would not have brought her there....not yet at least. Heegh is trying to get rid of me. I'm too powerful Nym growled at the thought.
The THoR mansion had nothing to offer. No scent of Adira. No hints to her whereabouts. Useless venture.
Nym leaped into the portal, soaring into it, before landing at the meeting place..
The demon better have good information this time around. Nym's fur stood on end as he became his Hellish form once more. Nee shouldn't see him in such a weak form.
Nym's ears perked up as the sound of two sets of footfalls came closer. He transformed not a moment too soon. His mate approached him from on side, her expression was passive. Sal came from Nym's other side, chewing vaguely on something.

Sylin frowned as he remembered something important... the hell hounds would be expecting him to report in soon enough. Sad, he was genuinely beginning to enjoy himself without the guilt in his former actions. He fired off a thought to Rosemary as he mentally and physically prepared himself for this meeting. Well, it seemed like the party was beginning to wind down anyway.
"There's a spot of trouble. I need to meet with the more corrupted hellhounds within a short amount of time. They'll be able to sense Adira's scent on me, from my close proximity to you all, and from your proximity to her. I may..."
As he got up, he accidentally bumped into Adira. He paused, then sighed, running a hand through his hair as he apologized, mentally in more way than one, ignored the possible dark glance she may have given him for being Heegh's spy, then continued on his way...
"Nevermind, now I HAVE to inform them that I've encountered Adira in some form or manner, or her friends, after bumping into her just now. I'll need to come up with some lies, quickly. Any suggestions, Rosemary?"
- - - - - -
Salanio crunched on the dead bird-lizard thing in his mouth, spitting out a few blood soaked ribs.
"They're surprisingly good... Our spy's late."
The thought to spit a few of the thicker and sharper bones the animal had in it's body at Nym stirred in Sal's mind for a moment, before he disregarded it. They needed to keep low for now, and the hostility that would kick up could blow their cover.
"You don't think this Sylin's turned traitor like a lot of other demons from before, do you? Like the ones Heegh keeps imprisoned in that giant torture hall... Wouldn't surprise me, he doesn't seem to like Heegh. If he has, we should attack him, bring him in for Lord Heegh to judge."
Salanio gave a slightly insane giggle, lightning flashing in his eyes. "I wonder how he'd be tortured..."

"I forgive you." Adira responded out loud to the former spy as he bumped into her. "I do not envy your position. Would have been better to stay spy then face what he will have in store. You and I both know you will not get off easily." She sighed ---- "We're not sure, idiot, what has happened. Hence, we wait for the spy to show." "If he does show up. hopefully the fool hasn't had himself killed off before his mission was completed." A sarcastic undertone laced through the malice, "So many powerful people in one area...one little angel killer." Nerissa sat down. "I hate this period of mystery." Nym growled.

Sylin simply gave a courteous nod to Adira, a knowing one at that. Nobody escaped Heegh's wrath so easily...
"Thank you... for the forgiveness, and a second chance to make things right. I doubt they're this close, but just in case don't wander too close to any exits or windows right now."
Following previously given advice, Sylin claimed some cleansing tablets from Jacob, then "dirtied" himself as much as possible by bumping into other people, handling party foods, and generally building up a little nerve before he headed out. Once he left the Soul Fortress, he made sure to make a show that he was in at least a little pain from the holy grounds, but not to show any major weakness. Also, he let his assassin-like cold demeanor wash over him, thinking dark thoughts about the angels he'd murdered in the past to aid him in his facade.
Later, at the assigned meeting place...
"One little angel killer, so many angels for this 'fool' to pick off later at his leisure when the job is done..."
Seeing nobody else around, he let go off his human appearence, letting his disturbing demonic one take shape. His hands always did seem to rest on one of his weapons, and from a display earlier in Hell, the hellhounds knew that even his 'simple' sidearm pistol packed a deadly punch that nobody wanted to be caught in.
"I couldn't spot her in there... too many people, and like I thought, they wouldn't just bring her out in the open. Security's tight as always in that place, so I can't tell if it's because she's hiding in there, or just because that's how it usually is. The Void IS behind that fortress, afterall... (A prime spot usually for demonic invasions, at least at one point). You hounds find anything useful?"

(Well Bradley gave me figures and apparently the furthest distance a human has been known to accurately snipe is 2 miles. I also did the calculation of how long it would take for the bullet to get there {assuming there is no friction or drag} based on what he gave me for bullet speed of 5000 feet per second which is .95 miles per second and I came up with 2.11 seconds. He suggested that a limbo sniper is 4 to 5x as fast so lets say 4x at 20,000 feet per second which would be 3.78 miles per second. {on a side note calculating air resistance in this calculation with u=.3 (which is very high when I have an example with a car at .6 and I think that was high for a car)... anyways... it would take the bullet 17 minutes to stop while the normal bullet ~2minutes}... anyways the point of this is that a Limbo sniper can be shot quite a distance further than a normal sniper and still have a huge impact...)
Somewhere about 7 miles away from the meeting place was a very invisible angel of wind picturing herself aiming her sniper at Sylin. She was actually aiming while laying on her stomach on the air as if it was ground and she wasn't at the same time because air had no shape. She also knew she gave off no scent from trial and error... not that it would have mattered at such a distance. There were thousands of people bellow her between them and her position, she was invisible until she actually fired, and even if she revealed herself it was still night and it would be difficult for them to figure out where she was for at least a few seconds while they figured out the exact angle of the shot.
Rosemary would have actually chosen a greater distance than that, but even at her current one it still took the bullet a little over 1.75 seconds to reach the target and since she was aiming at 'monsters' (meaning creatures that can move faster than humans such as herself) even that time frame could easily be too much. But still she was fairly confident in her position if she did have to take action unless of course they were like Coatli who could spot her across the room through a thousand mages with a sudden surprise attack on them from Heegh and many of his demons. Not to mention be in front of her to block her exit when she was right at it almost immediately after seeing her.
She could think of one dog who could possibly be that fast, but at the same time she wasn't entirely sure if it could fly high either. After Sylin said the right thing that wasn't going to get her to kill him, she moved her aim away from him and stayed ready to shoot the closest hound to him if he was suddenly attacked by them.

((...damn you did a lot of research xD))
Nerissa stared upon the angel killer. She never trusted him. But there was no reason to attack. No proof. This didn't stop her fur from rising. From years of experience with Heegh, Nee was--she presumed anyway--the only hound who knew how to shield her thoughts. She didn't want anyone in her mind. She didn't know if Sylin could even read thoughts but at this point she simply didn't care. She waited for her mate to answer the question. He did think of himself as their alpha. Risa rolled her eyes.
"We don't know any more than you do...you are, after all, the spy. You did promise Master Heegh that you'd have this done quickly. Time's wasting away...His patience is as well. Next time we meet, you must have either killed--or stunned--the girl and have her ready to go, or some valuable piece of information...or Master Heegh will not be happy."

"Of course. We wouldn't want to displease Heegh now. Horrible results come from that. Obviously, I'll continue my mission, keep seeing if I can dig my way further in and find her. Killing her, however...
I was fairly certain that Heegh's orders were to bring her back alive, not with a hole through her brain from an exit wound. Him just finding out that you gave me a contradictive order would be enough to enrage him. Do be more careful, Nym."
Salanio scoffed, and glared at Nym. Electricity cackled on his body in agitation.
"You idiot, you're trying to get Lord Heegh to punish us! Watch what the hell you say, ignorant rock head!"
Stepping back into the shadows, Sylin simply nodded at the hounds, wishing to leave before a scuffle broke out amongst themselves. Sal usually did seem like an unstable one.
"If you'll excuse me, I must return to my job."
Leaving the hounds, Sylin walked deep into the forest though somehow managing it at a demonic sort of speed... giving off some manner of illusion or distortation that he was walking at a normal pace, he was at least moving four times as fast as that. It would make one wonder who was watching him how quickly he could run if he wanted to.
Once Sylin was out of sight and scent from the hounds for certain in his mind, he took several zig zagging paths, until he made it back into the soul fortress, being sure that nobody was tailing him.
Once inside the safety of those heavy doors that no one with true ill-intent could usually get through, he let out a breath he hadn't realized he'd been fully holding in, letting his weapons sink back into his flesh from the holster positions they were at currently. Only a small number of people were left for the celebration now, the midnight hour having long since past while he was out. Jacob glanced down at Sylin from his seat next to Veni on the upper level balcony area... the demon nodded at the necromancer.
"They were never fully trusting in me, so now I think they're even more suspicious of my actions. Our next meeting is not too far away. We'll need to prepare before then, because I can not see them then and continue to lie without them tearing into my body and then using the remains of my mind to hunt Adira down."
- - - - - -
"Sometimes I wonder if we should've just killed him, and used one of the mind crawlers on his disembodied brain...."

"Is killing all you dogs ever think about?" A fallen angel who didn't appear there a moment ago asked. He didn't mention that he thought they sounded just like Heegh who at one point at least seemed more interested in killing over corrupting people which makes him stronger... however unlike Heegh the angel knew it would never be enough.
"Kill Heegh's sex toy, kill the spy... what if he really doesn't know anything useful? What if he does? Well it would be the obvious: she is at the Soul Fortress, but the problem is it is just as the name implies. I am not saying one was here, but here is a little advice for you; like me God's angels are unseen everywhere in this universe even in places like this."
---------
"Checkmate," said Veni who actually got back a little before Sylin... he took a quicker route and made it look like he had never gone.
Rosemary on the other hand followed Sylin at a distance just in case someone followed and reappeared from air, her gun vanishing as she did so. Sylin hadn't known she and possibly others had followed him at a distance. "That doesn't give me a precise time frame."
She sighed while thinking... "We had originally planned to be passive, go home, and let them come to us if they were coming... but since you're here... I'm not sure if we shouldn't take the initiative and either stay here till your next meeting and attack then or go home and be prepared for an attack and if nothing happens then do an initiative strike... I also wonder if I should have just striked earlier too... but..."
"It would have helped if we were aware of the meeting hours ago... then maybe we could have set up snipers or some other destructive distant mean and pop all done," said Veni pretending to aim an invisible sniper or drop a bomb while he said that.
"For now at least if that had happened... I really don't enjoy house visits..."
"Maybe you should move..."
"Perhaps..."
