~Cloud ~ Male German Shepherd ~ Ninja Dog in training ~

User Image Uh-oh... this really was serious. Sure, the Raikage was there and so was the Mizukage, but he was a lovable companion. Why would anyone possibly be angry with him? Although hearing the tone in her voice, his ears flattened back and he lowered down, trying to hide from her gaze. Unable to help himself, despite the question he was given was not to be answered right now, he mumbled "Well... the doors were open."

At the order to leave, the dog turned and fled, tail between his legs as he left the temple and scampered back to the dojo. Hopefully, Sypher would come to see him and Suzume. Before he left again or whatever. Maybe if he told Suzume, she might come and see him against at the next opportunity? He'd certainly be allowed to be there then.

((Exit to Dojo))

Dai gripped her arms as he brought up Alex Wood. "I'm still human...even if I'm paper." She said darkly with her back still to him. But her senses still opened wide in case she had to act quickly. Dai looked at Doki for the corner of her eye, feeling a slight jealousy for her. Because even the mossy haired female had a better relationship than Dai. She was the only one he never got along with; Dai would try several times to act better but things would only end up with him scolding her and calling her stupid. People need people? Dai made a small laugh at the statement. She had been alone up until she came to Kumo; got attached to people, and now she's paying for it. Maybe it's time I start looking out for myself and not... She cut her thoughts short. If I did that...I'd be a bitter shinobi like Sypher. Dai stood very still as Sypher spoke up again. Feeling nothing more but hate for him as he said his closest person was Mizukage. Regret everything I did to help you that day...I regret letting you live, you selfish, jerk. Dai stared off into the far corner. Now Kin's voice came to mind. She looked at Kin and nodded. "I wrote that in the new report, Kin. Shortly after I told you what truly happened that day." She answered before looking back to the corner. What more could she say. Dai tuned out the conversation Kin brought back to Mi. Not giving a hint of care what they discussed. Politics were never her type of crowd, she just wanted to get out of this room and far from Sypher. Before she went a did something stupid. But would she care what were to happen to him in this silly debate of killing or keeping him alive. Whatever, the Kages, reach...serves him right.

l| A home. Was she serious? Sypher stared at Kinpaku with what was clearly a 'Are you absurd?' expression as he listened to her preach to him about homes. As if anyone had lived there! Every single Onin who he'd known had a home of their own to go to "Appalling? Surely you are JOKING." he stressed the last word "That place is no more a home then it is a place to make merry wine and dance. Every person living there has a home in the village that they live in. A home to return to. I certainly never considered it a home. My home was in the village proper. " he struggled to find the right word and then threw his hands up "It's a little absurd that anyone could suggest it as a home. I designed that building, you recall, and built it myself. I never meant for it to be a home! There are no rooms, no privacy. There is a single bathroom and a single kitchen. Its completely inadequate for a home!" he shook his head in complete bewilderment of this. The Onin HQ was never designed to be a home! It was a rest way. A place for Onin to go and rest if they didn't want to go home, to recuperate and train out of sight of the rest of the village. If anyone had lived there since he'd left, he would laugh in their face. He would. Then he would ask them why. "I have never complained of anything. Never. I am merely pointing out reasons why I am not a threat to you. I have never been a threat to this village. Perhaps you think me a threat to you. But that is certainly a more absurd thought then thinking that place was a home." this wasn't about the village. He'd never once done anything to harm the village. Not once. Everything he'd done in his life had been for Kumogakure "I had, until that moment, been a loyal shinobi and you damn well know it. I did nothing but follow your orders, to the letter, as you gave them to me! I asked of you the position you gave me so I could protect this place I loved! And I did that! I did damn well at it! I never defied you, never lied to you, never once did I try to undermine you or go against you. I offered advice, trained genin and took on missions you assigned me! I have already said I was happy as a teacher. I never complained and never had!" He didn't bother keeping the anger out of his body language now "Deflecting the issue?! The issue, as you sensibly put it, is my life and I mean to defend it as damn well possible! Other then Mi, who else will?!" he snapped. His temper was reaching a boiling point but his chakra remained smooth and controlled as did his voice. This was a witch hunt and he the witch. They would kill him for any reason and he meant to throw their heads in with him if it came to it! "I have never, while under my own power, been a threat to you. Clearly, my loyalty was wasted on both of you. I devoted myself to this village, to being your loyal shinobi and to being your teacher!" Sypher addressed both Kinpaku and Daitomi, his anger at Kinpaku and open hatred for Daitomi now plain. How dare the two of them sit there and be smug while he fought to save his life. So they thought him a sad and pathetic sight did they? Clearly, life, certainly not his, meant less to them then he had hoped. Oh and he had hoped. He'd hoped that they would be reasonable in some respect, understanding in others. Instead, he was met with outright hostility and mocked for his attempts to save himself. Like a man holding the noose around his neck as he hung. "A sad sight am I? Then weep because I'll not be letting you kill my 'fanciful dream and feverish delusions' while I still have the power to fight back." he said quietly, staring Kinpaku down as she scoffed and sneered at his attempts to stay alive. He had so many thing he wanted to say, to both Kinpaku and Daitomi. But the absolute hatred and unwillingness to give him even the barest pardon stole the air from his chest. Human compassion. Yes..."Daitomi spoke of human compassion. But clearly there is none of that in this room. Neither of you seem to care that what happened was out of my control. And HERE I WILL COMPLAIN." he snapped, voice rising "I complain, Raikage Kinpaku Issetsu and Daitomi Imatoki, that neither of you can see past my SINGLE mistake. My mistake of opening. a. jar. Forgive me or don't. But know that I will fight for my life if you choose to take it and I will not die alone." and now, now he addressed what had really set him off "Oh and Raikage?" his voice was so icy and hateful it could have cracked stone. It was also so polite, one could have drowned in it "I am no longer 'Calsypher of the Senju'. Those 'parasites' sucked that from me when I finally rid myself fully of them. I am simply Calsypher. Despite whatever else you so deem me to be, that is the basic of it." he finished. When he had come into the village, he'd been willing to promise them anything to keep his life. He'd been willing to remove his own memory with a kunai if that was what it took. Sypher would never betray Kumogakure. Not for the world. He loved the village too much to do that. But his hatred for Kinpaku and now Daitomi would be a different matter. If he was allowed to return to Kirigakure, if something were to happen that required aiding them, he would refuse. He would rather sit and watch them both rot to death of disease then lift a finger to aid them. So strong was his hatred now that they had better find some way to resolve this, other then his death. Because he would take at least one of them down with him. He loved Kumogakure...but right then, he would rip it to shreds to protect his life. He didn't even see Cloud leave, his vision blackening at the edges. He regretted something now...regretted losing his control so explosively in front of Mi. He had only once lost control over the empty hatred and anger inside him, once in Suna, in front of a student. Not quite as badly as this and yet...for some reason, he was more ashamed of this loss then of that. "I am now only Sypher Yokai." he said, his voice returning to his logical control rather then his emotional. His hands went to his face now, pressing on either side of the bridge of his nose, his eyes closed as he took breaths to bring himself back under control. Truly under control, not just a semblance of it. He breathed through his nose, into the small triangle his hands made and out through his mouth, eyes closed the whole time. Now was the hardest part...he wanted to just...get it over with now...he had made a promise to Mi and now matter how wretched and miserable he felt now, he couldn't break it. No matter how badly...His eyebrows came to together over his closed eyes, a scowl settling on his features "Do your damnedest, Kinpaku. I've nothing left to say." he muttered. |l

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxMI YOUNG ROOxxxxxxxmizukage

Had humanity been flung out the window. Here was a situation that was dealing with a man's life and because of countless mistakes that should not have happened, it had come down to 'information' keeping the Raikage back from even considering the release of Sypher and the dropping of his charges. First and foremost the Raikage had no idea what had even occurred on the mission. No details had been properly reported to her, another strike against Dai who should have done so when she had the chance. But still. Even that matter was not as dire as the lack of control Kinpaku had attested to and the sudden need to reign it in now. She was passing all of this onto her shinobi when truthfully it was the leaders fault. In any village or system where there was one who presumed to speak for the majority it was always their responsibility to make sure everything ran smoothly. Leaders could not afford to make mistakes. Plenty had been made and this situation had been the direct result of it. While Mi was not saying that Sypher was excused for what had happened calling him a coward was pushing it. That was not how she saw it.

The Raikage suddenly dismissed her idea as a mere joke, something Mi did not do. Especially in matter as serious as this. What does she take me for? It was not necessary and in the supposed 'professional sense' Kinpaku was stepping over lines. Did the Raikage think that she would bring a matter to light without putting any thought into it. Without doing any sort of research. Mi had learned from her mistakes. It had cost her a precious life so she was not inclined to jumping into something without putting a lot of thought into it. It was a good thing Mi had patience above all else. Lest she have a temper and react to such a talking down.
"I never said that Kirigakure and Kumogakure would ever be tied to sharing confidential village information. Rest assured that as appalling as an idea that may seem to you it is equally protested by myself. " There had to be a way to make this seem more level. Sypher had a lot going against him. "Lady Raikage. If I might be so frank as to pointing out that now Yokai holds important Kirigakure information as well. You are not alone in worrying about what and what is not passed around. If I am being opened minded to such an idea, as proposed, it is not without having put a lot of thought into the matter. It is far from a joke. I will not be inhumane. I will not sacrifice a man's life when there is no reason to believe he is vile enough to even consider such a punishment. 'Our world' is many things Lady Raikage but it is also upon us to make of it what we will. " Upon Mi hearing Kinpaku vehemently deny knowing any sort of technique that would enable her to carry out a sort of sealing Mi quieted, content to simply stare at her. If that was how she was going to be Mi would do everything in her power to find a means. If Kinpaku was resolved into just settling into this with a stubborn resolve Mi would continue to pelt her with her own stubbornness as well.

At Sypher's outburst to everything Mi reached out to him and gripped his shoulder, squeezing once and shaking her head. He was not making anything better by getting worked up. He was only making himself seemed hot tempered and easily moved by his emotions. It took a certain level of maturity and cunning to tread a sort of situation like this without getting your feathers ruffled so she was not really upset with him for losing his cool. It was natural. It was HUMAN. Mi looked to Dai momentarily. The woman seeming to be off in her own world at the moment. It seemed as if she had inputed what she wanted to and had gone mute. The lingering emotion that Mi could only label as annoyance surfaced again as she stared at the woman. Thoughts of what had happened resurfaced but Mi quieted herself down, knowing it was not her fault. Kouhei died because of you... Mi thought to herself. Closing her eyes she chanted that over and over again.
"Which is why I didn't say 'erase his memory'. Memories are not something that can be simply spirited away. I was thinking something more tangible. A bar from utterances that are about Kumogakure. A technique such as that cannot be that absurd Lady Raikage. Especially in 'our world'." Mi said, turning her attention back to Kinpaku as she used Kinpaku's own terminology. Was it really such a difficult concept to even consider? A Jutsu had to exist. There were Jutsu's that allowed people to create fire from thin air, control peoples shadows, train talking animals. It was really not such an abstract thing.

At least the hound was gone. Things never seemed to work quite properly. It had been practically revealed already that Sypher was living, but if word spread around... Well, that was going to be problematic. Dai was quick to address that the new report was updated. "It's a shame, Dai. That report was sitting on my desk when the office was damaged," the woman answered. Anything updating that case could cause terrible problems for them all. "Don't worry about writing up a new one though, Dai." This occurrence was going to remain the end of someone, inevitably. At this point in time though... It was Sypher who piped up in a rage. Who'd have thought he'd do so first? Inadequacy for a home. He didn't seem to understand that wasn't much of a line for what one calls home. He continued, and in the midst of it all, he was renouncing his title as a Kumogakure shinobi. Definitely not smart.

Mi continued on. Apparently Kirigakure had shared vital information with Sypher. Only in months? Whether or not someone didn't know who they were, that indicated some kind of problem. A lax security, or clearly someone who hadn't quite experienced the taste of a traitor. Not too personally, at least. A hopeful one at that. "Consider watching your tongue with things like these, Calsypher 'Yokai'," spoke the shadow of the clouds, as she rose to her feet. "I will be stepping outside a moment. I ask both of you to make yourselves comfortable for the moment." Out the front door, Kinpaku stepped. Optimism of the most sickening kind was problematic, but there had to be something. She damn well could try and take his head now. He'd renounced his place in the village. Mi had made it apparent she was aiming for life. Were it not for the fact that he was innocent, supposedly, in the attempt on her life, it was something difficult to really believe.

"Ounishi," spoke the woman as she stepped from the temple, and off to the side. The ANBU who had been so kind as to escort the pair appeared once more in a cloud of smoke. "You have any ideas on how to seal someone to silence?" He looked at her, gazing without much emotion as she asked to probe the knowledge of fuuin seals.

"One could work with that intent in developing something akin to it. I believe there was someone who did that, once upon a time." History and lore was all she was receiving, it seemed. It was better than absolutely nothing, which left Kin her flask. Fuuin was a terribly flexible art, and man could remove limitations time and again. Why couldn't man place a limitation? The woman stood alone, waving away the ANBU. He'd been able to help a little, as she took a swig from her flask again.

She looked over her flask, not having been thinking to play to her bloodline. Alcohol was symbolic to her, in the sense that it could tie a tongue or let it wave away secrets. Every man was different about it, and there were few things to account for the idea. She grabbed a second one,, kept on her person, filled with water. She made her sake, so why worry?

[1/6]

Kin tightened the cap on it. Even now, it was going to be difficult to open, and chakra began pouring in. Of course, it was the transmutation of the water into sake, but Kin was attempting to do something differently here. More chakra was pressed into the small container, an awful lot, actually. Frankly, Kin would have little idea as to how potent the drink would be. It wouldn't kill anyone, she figured.

[2/6]

Either way, it was a matter of working this out now. She crouched some, doodling. Something was needed to keep the technique going at this point though, if she were to figure this out. Broad strokes in the earth, to which some of the concentrated sake was to be poured. Now though, she looked up, pressing her chakra into the seal.

[3/6]

As to whether or not the fundamental idea for the thing would work, the flask was popped open, peach and rose coloration leaked out in a sort of mist. Out its contents drained somewhat, pooling in the center of the symbol carved into the earth. It was all toward the concept of silence, but she couldn't necessarily test it completely. It was going to be a bit of a long shot.

[4/6]

The rosey liquid was beginning to be soaked up by the earth below it. Her hand settled at the edge, she set a seed into the midst of it all. It was probably the least morbid attempt to test this particular idea. "You shall not drink of the contents here," Kin spoke, knowing it had soaked up some of the alcohol. Whatever would grow normally would likely have been stunted... Or shaped quite oddly.

[5/6]

A little of the regular sake was poured out atop the seed, and the sight she witnessed was rather... Gruesome for her. The seed immediately split itself open, having burst with the rosey sake. That hadn't quite been what she expected, but it seemed to have gotten a point across. One command and it could end up possibly badly, for whomever was influenced. She had something to try, and if it didn't work... Well, Doki was there, if he really had to be resuscitated.

[6/6]

l| Sypher did nothing as Mi spoke, simply sat in the chair with his face turned away. He was feeling numb now, not willing to be drawn into any real hope...if Kinpaku decided to kill him, he'd have to run. It was that simple. That was the only way to keep his promise to Mi and keep his promise to himself. Mi's touch on his shoulder, though firm, did little to get through the decidedly gloomy feeling he was in right now. He kept his eyes away from Kinpaku as she replied then left and he sighed Watch my tongue...watch my tongue, huh? Like it matters. You don't listen to anything I say anyway. Why should I care what I say if in the end you just want to kill me? He sat up a little more and looked over at Mi for a moment, his hands covering his mouth "Mi-s...Mizukage." he corrected himself for a moment then continued, speaking quietly to her as they waited for Kinpaku to return "At the apartment you gave me, I've taken in a number of stray cats to care for. I rather like cats so there's quite a few." Sypher's eyes were level with hers, serious and gloomy but not without a slight show of steel and determination. He wasn't giving up his life just yet....but "If you like cats, would you care to watch them sometimes?" in a way, he was asking her if she would take care of them for him if he couldn't. But he was also inviting her to come see them with him when they got back to Kiri...if they got back. Though Kinpaku was outside, Daitomi and Doki were still in the room and he spoke quietly to Mi with his hands linked together in his lap. Speaking of cats though...he wondered where his Ima had gotten to. He doubted she would have left the village...she was too smart for that. But without him, she wouldn't have stayed with anyone...he knew that much. She was too stubborn. |l

Dai blocked out Sypher's voice not wanting to hear anymore of the heat of hatred he had gained for Kumo. It appeared that this meeting wasn't going to go very far. Everyone here was thick headed as the next. Dai sighed and turned on her heels to her the Mizukage speak in reply to Kinpaku. Even this woman had a hidden hatred for Kumo. The reason was clear, but Dai wasn't for blame. If it wasnt for her Kein would have gone postal on the genin that had pointed out that either of the Kumo shinobis were welcomed on the mission. Dai closed her eyes and thought of the dark possibilities of outcomes. She opened her eyes to feeling a burning hatred staring at her. Dai met the hatred eyes of the Mizukage; now feeling that she should apologize for the unprofessional acts Kein had taken but would make it clear. She stop him from killing the Genin that told him and her that they weren't welcomed on that mission or even in the village. Dai turned her attention to Kin as she brought up the factor that her new report was on the desk when the office was damaged. She nodded when Kin told her not to worry about writing a new one. Dai watched as Kin rose to her feet and excused herself. Feeling that for the safety of the village, Dai, herself would remain in the room with Doki, Mizukage, and Sypher. Dai looked to Mizukage and gave a faint sigh before speaking. "I believe, we, Mizukage have an issue to clear up. Over the Swords of Mist that Kein had so kindly volunteered his and my services." Dai cleared her throat. "Your team of shinobi had made it severely clear that either Kein or myself were welcomed on that mission. Kein, being hot tempered, had confronted the genin and began to lose his temper." She watched the Mizukage as she pressed on. "If it wasn't for my actions in stopping Kein from killing the whole team, you would have more fatalities then probably occurred. Trust me, the power that man holds is more then any could expect. I know the extent of his power, and it's nearly killed me." She bowed quickly. "Our actions for leaving the mission were unjust, but for all tend and purpose. I beg for forgiveness on me. I greatly regret leaving the mission but my duty is to follow orders of my teacher." She raise to meet the Kage's eyes. "If I was at the rank I am now. I would have never have left. I was wrong to abandon the mission." Her eyes shifted to Sypher. "I was taught better than to abandon like a coward." She looked back at Mizukage. "I give you my deepest apology, Mizukage. To my word as a Shinobi." She really was sorry. Mi could see it in her eyes and could hear it in her voice. She wasn't the kind to place ill will against the village she personally had a bitter taste for. Kiri was her birthplace, but Kumo was her home. "But I will not beg for forgiveness on Kein's behalf." She spoke strongly, it wasn't her place to ask for Kein's forgiveness when she wasn't Kein himself.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxMI YOUNG ROOxxxxxxxmizukage

As the Lady Raikage stood and exited the room, leaving them with a parting 'make yourselves comfortable', Mi sighed. As if... She was not comfortable. Not one bit. Nor would she be until she was back home. Her mind wandered slightly, she still had a lot to deal with. She hoped the Genin were getting their assigned teams and getting the formalities taken care of. Yokai called her attention suddenly, his almost slip up of formalities went unnoticed by the Mizukage. She looked to him, her gaze even as he made utterances about his cats. She coaxed her head to one side. Was this an invitation or was it some sort of discrete way of asking for her to look after them should things not go as smoothly as Mi was hoping they would. Mi tired to smile, something reassuring for Yokai but she came up short. Dai had called her attention now, Mi turning her head to look at the woman. Her features arranged themselves into something more professional, Mi not wanting to let her annoyance slip through. I knew it. Mi was no fool. She had a feeling Dai would wait for an absence in Kinpaku's presence in order to make an attempted amends with her. Mi heard the woman out, not breaking in an interrupting the woman as she dove headlong into her apology. Once she was finished Mi remained silent, letting her silence fall over them like a heavy blanket."The reason I had not brought up your case, Daitomi, is because you are in enough trouble as it is." Mi sighed, her brows furrowing slightly. Now her annoyance at the matter showed. Kein and Dai were higher ranked Shinobi who had boisterously found their way into being assigned to an important mission in her village. Kein had eavesdropped during the important meeting she had and had barged in asking to be assigned to the mission, a show of loyalty to the treaty between Kumogakure as his reasoning. Instead of reprimanding him she gave him the benefit of the doubt and in good will let him join in on the mission under her conditions. As a teacher Mi had expected Kein to know how to control his emotions but he didnt and there was a moment when he even dropped an underlying threat to her despite the fact that he had been the one to insist on being assigned to the mission with his student to accompany him. 'Hot tempered' is an excuse Mi would not buy. In fact. It only made her more upset. Such a high ranked and capable Shinobi could not even keep his cool in the presence of adolescents.

"This conversation is ill placed and timed. Without Kein present I will not address any of this. Thank you for your apology and I acknowledge it but it does not mean that what happened will just go away." Mi withheld informing Dai that a Shinobi had been lost during the mission. It was not for her to know but for this matter to be settled with Kein. Mi would not touch this matter until Kein surfaced. It angered her even more that his pupil at the time was taking this one first and foremost. If Kein was really such a danger she would not allow him into her village and she would personally request that Kinpaku restrain him. It had been her fault for trusting in Kein to be mature and to give him the benefit of the doubt because of their alliance but that man had run in the middle of battle. As much as Mi was to blame it was also that mans fault. Mi's recklessness had cost her a life. Clenching her fists she kept them concealed underneath her cloak. "Kein has a lot to answer for." Kouhei had no family wanting justice which was why Mi had not been pressed to bring this matter to light so quickly.

"I do agree, hardly the time or place for such." Dai spoke without a waist in time. "But, due to the circumstances that we all are meeting here for. And for the Punishment I'm serving. Who knew when the time would come when I could properly apologize to you." She lowered her head and sighed. "Any time is better then never, Mikage." Dai bowed her head. "Excuse me, I'm in need of some fresh air." She shifted a foot back before heading to where Kin was. Watching her Kage for a moment, Dai wondered how much longer this politic meeting would last. She was growing tired of going back and forth without finding a solution in sight. Kiri people really are as thick headed then ever. She thought before resting her back against the wall and sighed. I can't stay in that room much longer. I'm irritated to be even in his presence. She stared at her feet. I wish this stupid meeting would end. I'm just getting more heat from everyone for even thinking that I was saving him. She rested her head against the wall and stared up at the clouds.I was wrong to save him. I was wrong to even to get involved with Sypher. She closed her eyes and sighed. The ending of this meeting was far from sight. I was wrong...

The feeling of success was overall lost on her this time. Somewhat soaked in sake, from her puzzling through the skills she had had to develop. Without so much as an idea if the seal would work as she had intended, Kin turned about to look back at the temple. Nothing would have pleased her more than to smash it, with Sypher in it. Unfortunately, it was everyone else that kept the man safe. Inhaling deeply, she continued toward the temple. Upon which Dai was exiting. Had Sypher exasperated her, too? "We'll hurry this along, Dai. One way or another," spoke Kin carefully, as she was passing by. Back through the doorway, the scene had hardly changed. Sypher was seated now. Little else.

Lithely, Kin stepped into the room. A regrettable sign indicating her mastery of the drunken fist. She worked hard to compose herself, unfortunately there wasn't exactly a great way to do something like that. By the both of them, she passed grabbing one of the tea cups. The contents of the moderate sized cup were tossed to the fire, little more than a hiss of irritation by the flames. The cup set back down, the flask opened once more and was emptied into the cup to the brim. "Calsypher, if you wish to even think of leaving alive, I'd suggest you drink. There's not quite a guarantee of safety, but it's a better shot than you've got," snapped the raikage. She didn't care to be pussyfooting about at this point. This had been an irritation. Out from her side, she drew one of the steel fans she kept upon herself, setting it down, as well. "I warn you. It's likely to leave scarring, at this point."

l| Sypher listened to Daitomi and Mi speak in his own pensive silence. He recalled, as Yokai, seeing Daitomi in Kiri as well as a confrontation with Kein. He'd chased Daitomi down, demanding she tell him why he knew her and she had refused on the grounds of protecting him Not that she cares now... he thought and rubbed his face with both hands as Mi rebuked Daitomi's apology. He recognized his own situation in what Mi said to Daitomi and it made him wince Apologies only go so far... he looked at Mi as Daitomi left then reached over and touched her cloaked forearm, his fingers light as he spoke "Apologies can never undo anything...but holding grudges and blame leads to situations like mine. I know I don't have the right to say this now. Least of all considering my part in it." Sypher gave her arm a light squeeze before moving his hands back to his lap "But if our society weren't so focused on holding grudges and placing blame and calling others to responsibility, wouldn't there be less pain all around?" he stopped as Kinpaku reappeared, his eyes recognizing her movements as lethal She's been training....guess she had more time to since I disappeared. he listened as she spoke, not moving as she set the cup down and filled it with some liquid. Sypher's nose wrinkled a little as he smelled alcohol, sake, and he almost turned his head away. Like tea, he didn't drink alcohol. But for this....it could be a bluff. Hell, it could be poison. Her last words didn't leave him with much confidence and he took a deep breath, looking at the cup unhappily "..." he looked at the fan, then at Kinpaku. Without any questions, he reached out and took the cup "Thank you." he said firmly and without looking at it downed the whole cup in one mouthful. The taste hit his tongue and he almost gagged, quickly putting the cup down and a hand to his mouth. It was dry and sweet and the taste was so strange to him, he wanted to spit it out I couldn't taste poison in this if I tried! Holy crap! he struggled for a few moments then swallowed, his throat bulging as he struggled to get it all down. Finally, Sypher had the whole cup down and he looked rather ill with the whole thing "...uck..." was all he managed as his vision began to spin a bit. Despite his hatred for her and Daitomi, his actions just now should have proven he at least respected Kinpaku enough to not suspect her of trying to kill him after telling him he could live if he drank the liquid. He closed his eyes, hand still hovering near his mouth, as he fought the strange sensation. Having never drunk alcohol, this was his first time experiencing everything that came with being drunk. |l

Dai looked at Kin as the Kage spoke up. Could Kin see that this meeting was exasperating her too? The fair sweet smell of sake rolled off of Kin's being. Thinking nothing of it, Dai nodded and followed Kin into the room, through the door and back to the side of Kin's chair. She flinched at the hiss of the flames as Kin tossed the tea into it. Fire still made her jumpy as ever. Dai watched as Kin told Sypher if he planned in leaving here alive he would drink. What is she planning? She thought as she shifted her eyes to Sypher. Seeing him contemplate the situation, he hadn't much choice if he chose to leave this place alive. He took up the cup and thanked Kin for the drink. She remembered he was either a tea or sake drinker when he exclaimed his distaste. Dai was confused as ever, Sypher hated sake. She watched as his hand hovered near his mouth, as if he was going to puke. Don't tell me this is his first time ever drinking sake? Dai wanted to laugh at the face Sypher was making as his body registered the alcohol; but, chose to keep her composer. Hoping that the meeting will end fairly soon enough.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxMI YOUNG ROOxxxxxxxmizukage

Mi watched as Dai left the room, her body still tensed and her annoyance still evident. Stress. It was digging into her shoulders like a set of claws on either side. Yokai's hand to her forearm caused her to turn her head and look at him as he addressed her. The only sounds were his voice and the crackling of the fire. Had it not been such a situation as this she might have actually relaxed and enjoyed the location a little more. It was quaint and cozy. The modest area held it's own when compared to more done up places that sought to provide more luxury than anything. Letting out a little sigh she looked to the flames. He thinks I seek to punish her. Mi mused to herself. Dai was not to blame for this matter but it didn't make her want to jump up and be friends with the woman. Mi would never deny her respect but friendship was not going to be easily handed over. At the last portion Mi turned to face him again, her mouth pressed into a firm line, indication that she was holding back. She wanted to tell him she wasn't like that but in truth she could not promise that she would never have to act in such a scenario. Especially when one of those who lived in Kirigakure had died. "It's co-." Mi quickly quieted the moment that Kinpaku returned. The fresh air seemed to only sour the woman's mood even more which made the hairs at the nape of her neck stand on end.

By order of Kinpaku Yokai was ordered to drink something, in which he did not hesitate to even think about. Mi flinched, having wanted to slap the cup out of his hands. He drank it before she could even inquire as to what it was. The tiny Mizukage stood, looking to Kinpaku, her draws furrowed slightly in her frustration.
"What did you give him?" Immediately Mi moved in closer to his side, her hand reaching out and moving to grasp his wrist tightly in her grasp. She pulled his arm out and turned it so his forearm was facing upward. Her index finger and middle finger went to the inner part of his wrist in order to get a feel for his pulse. Did she poison him? Irritation or not the Raikage had been a little too hasty. Mi wanted to return home and get over this matter as quickly as possible to but she didn't want to be reckless about it either. "Are you oka-"Looking up at him she noticed he had closed his eyes and had a hand to his mouth. Worry replaced the annoyance and she closed her eyes momentarily, sending one of her diagnosis pulses into him. Opening her eyes slowly, she was a little more reassured that nothing was wrong with him that could kill him, well aside from two things the latter being bizarre. His heart rate was accelerated, the only thing that was really picked up on her radar. Turning her head to look up at Kinpaku she coaxed an eyebrow. The liquid was not reacting like a normal substance. It was literally spreading into his system instead of being metabolized. Or heading to where it should. She's an Oni... Mi recalled, Sypher having told her as much on the road when Mi had asked him what Kinpaku was like.
