Consequences of Kindness - 1x1 - Zelly & Anime

"Emotional state?....You were worried about me." Rune smiled over his shoulder at her in amusement. "And here I thought you didn't care about other people, what with how selfish and rotten you think they all are."

 

[M3Gnificent]

"I've told you once and I'll tell you again - you aren't other people." Ashen sounded a little irritated as she said this, but is anyone truly surprised? "I never thought you were other people."

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

Rune just smiled cheerily. "I know. I tease because I love." Now whether or not that was a friendly love or something more had yet to be seen. "So any idea what your 'friend' is up to?" he asked while looking to the door.

 

[M3Gnificent]

"She's either polishing her pistol, plotting something horrible and demeaning for all parties involved, or possibly both." Ashen frowned slightly. "Any ideas on how we can escape?"

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"Not a one." Rune sighed before taking a look around the immediate area, specifically the floor. "Unless there's something around here we can use as a makeshift knife, we're not getting out of these ropes until your magic's back."

 

[M3Gnificent]

"Your wit and my temper don't count, so as of yet I don't honestly see a thing." Ashen let out a soft sigh. Well <********>. Things seemed pretty dismal. At least you knew that Ophelia wouldn't kill you or Rune unless she had no choice. She was funny about that sort of thing sometimes.

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"Well unless you have something like a nail file tucked away in a pocket, I suggest you close your eyes." Rune scooted around the pole, which was just close enough that he could attempt to break it with a decent kick and hopefully get a good splinter to use. Actually no matter what he did, he'd tell her to close her eyes, since any plan would involve using his feet to manipulate whatever and his blanket was just kind of draped over his legs.

Ashen did as she was told for once, lest she ended up embarassing them both.

With a slight grunt, Rune managed to kick through the wall, praying there was no one on the other side to bust them. Quickly grabbing a sliver of wood between his toes, he lifted his leg up, passing the wood to his hand while abandoning the blanket and beginning to try and cut through the ropes.

 

[M3Gnificent]

{Does someone hear them and come to investigate? Do they eventually break themselves free? Or does a large commotion start on the upper deck as another pirate crew attacks Ophelia's? Or what?}

Anyway, 1 means investigate. 2 means they free themselves. 3 means rival pirate crew attacks.}

((LOL. Rival crew it is. Unless you want to nix that due to the excessive amount of NPCs that will be running around doing more major action we'll inevitably fail at/timeskip over.))

The clanging of swords, the booming of cannons, and the sounds of gunfire echoed loudly through the air. There seemed to be plenty of shouting and fighting on the upper decks, enough to make sure none of Ophelia's crew would come for either for the moment being.

"How are things going with that rope? I'd rather leave this place before it's blown to bits by cannonfire!"

"I'm going as fast as I can! You'll have to forgive me for not having anything better to work with." Rune eventually got through enough of the rope that he could wriggle his way out. Tying his blanket around his waist so as not to scar poor Ashen, he set to work on untying her holds.
