Zayid greeted the woman back when she said hi and given her a smile before getting ready. He looked at the staring cat and tilted his head before walking on. Of course he would have petted it if he had only known the cat would welcome it, but for now he left it be. Besides Zayid made checking up on the animals his priority which was why he had gotten to work so soon. Giving the other animals that weren't fed and watered yet and cleaning them a bit. The young man was perfectly fine with socializing, but there was also work to be done and that came first.
Once he had checked the other animals he noticed that the woman was already sweeping the store, so that was take care of. Since she took care of the floor, Zayid moved on to the products they sold, bringing order back to the shelves if some were mixed up by customers and also placing more from the storage where needed. Though they would open soon, he still wanted to have it all in order as much as possible before the doors would open to customers for products or maybe even owners to be.
When the door suddenly opened, Zayid looked up in some surprise, but then smiled a bit. It would seem Miyuki had made it to them as well. "Good morning Miyuki." he said and waved a bit at her before he continued his work. He would still hear it if anyone spoke to him of course, but that was no reason for the Arab to slack off. Once he decided to go for something, he would always be diligent, another change he had gone through and a good one. Even Zayid realized that would get him far.
Kaylee shuffled anxiously as she glanced at the two employees in the building with her. Even though she had been the one to look over their resume's and hire them, that didn't make her any less nervous! It still baffled her how she had been hired as a manager, though she had a feeling her experience with animals had a hand in it. She did so much better with animals than she did people. Lifting her hand up to clutch onto her necklace Kos had given her, the warmth of it helped comfort the young woman a bit. Giving a tiny smile, her attention was soon snapped towards Miyu as the other female spoke up. Instinctively and protectively, Kaylee scooped the elderly cat into her arms. "N-No. She's not one of the rescues. S-She's mine." She said, burying her face into the cat's fur before setting Mira back down. "Her name is Mira." The petite brunette explained while the now grumpy cat glared at her for having woken her up. Giving a large yawn, Mira threw herself down onto the counter. Carefully, Kaylee moved the cat out of the way a little so people would have room to set their items down if needed. "She only l-looks grumpy. I swear." She said, gently touching the cat's nose with the tip of her pointer finger. Kos and Mira were the only two Kaylee was truly comfortable around.

xxxx Hearing the male’s voice as she came in, she would look up and greet him with a tired wave back and attempt a shy smile. ”M-morning…” They were a full house today. Or well work place since this wasn’t exactly a house but you know the saying. Continuing to catch her breath, she knew she would need to follow Zayid’s example and begin to work. Before that though, she had been distracted by the cat. Fluffy things…a total weakness for her. Oh how she desperately wanted to pet it or take it home.
Turns out the cat already belonged to someone! The very sweet co-worker Kaylee who she had briefly worked with and talked to. Miyu felt her cheeks flush crimson at what the girl said.Ah…how could I have assumed such a thing. How did I not see her there before? I’m so embarrassed. I really should think things through more. I’ll know next time though for sure! I wonder when she got the kitty. Maybe I should look into getting a pet again too. Although I tend to just foster. I miss having something to cuddle with. There are so many breeds of animals or animal types to choose from though... Shaking out of her thoughts, Miyu was sure to bow in apology, hanging her head in slight shame but also glancing up with admiration at the cat in front of her.”A-Ah I-I’m so s-sorry! I-I should h-have f-figured t-that. O-oh…S-she’s so fluffy…hehe t-the grumpy look makes h-her cuter. H-her name is...M-mira! We both h-have M n-name’s. H-How o-old is s-she if i-it is okay to ask?”

It seemed a miracle he was even getting a hello from them and some enforced words as they preferred to focus on one another. As if they rather he wouldn't be there and interrupt them. Taking the hint the male just went on with his work silently and in the background only emerging to help a customer or two. He never felt this relieved to be able to leave the Cat's Meow, feeling rather....unwanted at the moment so when the time came he quickly changed and went out of the door as fast as possible without running after just a wave of goodbye. Tomorrow would be his day off and he would definitely enjoy it to the fullest. Perhaps his next work day would be better again. As he stood outside the shop he thought to himself for a moment.
He needed some groceries among others still so he was rerunning the routes in his mind to the best way to go home and do all he had to do in one go. Once he mapped himself out a good path, he started walking towards the groceries first. He would need to restock his fridge as it was running low. The man didn't rush himself because he knew he had more than enough time to get his purchases and he already had dinner for today set ready in the fridge which he had made fresh the day before. It wasn't very big or extravagant as he wasn't the best cook but he liked to think he cooked well enough. Once out of the shop and in the fresh air, his mood was getting lighter again too. He even passed a few people along the way which he had gotten to know since he moved here and he stopped to talk with one for a bit, but he soon resumed his walk home. [Exited Cat's Meow]
xxxx Miyu had a weakness and that was fluffy things. As soon as she had gotten the okay, she spent most of her time playing with the cat after working some. She realized the male might have thought something as she did in a way not pay too much attention to him. So she did feel guilty after thinking on it. She was even sure to say bye to him, although it seemed he might have not heard. She really hadn't meant to exclude anyone. Just whenever she sees an animal she loves..she gets a tad carried away. Kind of like a kid. Anyway today had been a rather slow day so she enjoyed her time getting to know her fellow co worker and her cat. When her shift was eventually over, she waved a happy bye and skipped out of the store. She was eager to be back. Who knew what other things she would come across. Well that and she was inspired to get clothes for the animals. She thought it would be cute. For now though it was time to go home and get something to eat before heading to bed. -Exit-

A lengthy sigh came out of the man's mouth. If only he did not chicken out on his date with Hanako, then he would not be in such a mess. It would be great if he was paired up with a chick but the little devil insisted for him to put down him as a bisexual. He does swing both ways but its harder to woo men than women. Hopefully, this person he was paired up with would keep him entertained.
Reosaki's eyes glistened with excitement as soon as his eyes met one of the little cutties behind the cages. The man crunched down to level his gaze with it. The corner of his lips curves upwards. If he remembered correctly its called a Husky. He remembered back in then when he still had one when he was a child. Aside from his mother, it was his dog who he sought comfort in whenever he was beaten up by his father. Sad, as much as he wanted to buy one, with his current lifestyle, it will just end up dead by the next morning.

At least it wasn't raining as bad today as it had been the past few days. What the heck was it with him and downpours? Did the freaking weather want him dead too? Well screw it, he had managed to find a steady source of shelter, so it wasn't like he was going to die of hypothermia or the flu or something anymore. Though...he was still sleeping in a bookshop, which really wasn't as good as having an apartment or sharing a house or something like that. He doubted he was going to find love out of these dates, but maybe he would get lucky and find someone who was willing to let him stay on as a roommate even if he didn't exactly have the funds for rent at the moment. Speaking of pointless dates, today's date was at...a pet store? what the crap? was this a joke? He wasn't sure what kind of psycho he would end up with, especially since the profile basically said that this guy was doing it just because a friend of his made him. Real encouraging there. Oh well, he made his way into the store. He and Krotak looked for the man, Krotak spotting him first and tapping Erik's jaw to get him to look in the right direction. He was going to say something right off, but the guy seemed to be having a moment. Whatever. He could chill for a bit. He took the time to make sure he looked alright, but all he had was torn jeans, overly loose camo jacket, black t-shirt, black boots, and his standard black eye patch. Basically what he wore all the time. And no gift. He was too poor for that.

tabtab🌸 It took awhile to bounce back after he was down for the count the other day. Sick as a dog, Kisari stayed bundled up at home. Sleeping like a rock and eating soup, drinking tea and cold medicine. The most awful feeling being ill like that. He was glad to be back now and at work. Cleaning out the kennels of the animals. Filling their food bowls and water. He always enjoyed playing with the animals, scooping them up and coddling them giving them some social time so they were used to people more. Especially the baby animals.
tabtab🌸"Hello sweetheart~" cooing at one of the kittens he was holding. Taking the kitties all out to put in a play pen area. Letting them stretch their legs and play while their kennels were cleaned up. After that was done, Kisari just sat down in the midst of all the cute pouncy cats. Throwing them little toys. Customers walking by watching, some of course leaned in to pet them, watching the little furbabies. It was helpful in getting adoptions when they saw them playing and got to interact with them.

It might have been a bad idea to come here, that was only a thought that went by in-passing. He didn’t exactly have too much reason to be window shopping; most people seemed to want to conserve their money and he couldn’t say he was any different. In the walk down the street, an attempt had gone on to weave through the gradual crowd; there were a few conscious stops on occasion, in self-awareness of anyone up ahead. That he might have stood out by the same fact wasn’t lost either, and that was partly why, after stopping to look over to the side at a pet shop display, the notion to go in raced ahead of others and shortly was decided on. After the door shut behind himself, Sulfur paused in a further perspective of the surroundings, which seemed to be crowded too.
It didn’t dissuade him by far either. In the same detached, aware manner as earlier, Sulfur started to walk ahead, his attention held up but sometimes focusing toward the occasion animal that crossed by, if not the other way around. Like earlier, he waited a few times for other people, not wanting to cause a scene to any extent, before starting again on that overall aimless path. With the idea of trying to fit in or somehow manage here, he knew he couldn’t exactly risk himself in that sense; even if the vague idea to respond in turn to anything ever became relevant. Overall, he still remained guarded, although this somewhat was moved off from as he ended up near an area that was partly blockaded off. In realization of that, his line of sight moved toward the various small figures who were spaced out across that area. Around himself, people were also paying attention to the apparent group; in that fact registering, his attention toward them then moved back to the blanketed space. A sort of curiosity spread across his expression, although still divided between that and relative uncertainty.
A few moments passed and his gaze drifted, in further realization that someone was looking after the cats. Here he paused again in thought, divided in between asking something and just remaining quiet. Although this was a conflicted tone that was obvious to others besides himself, it wasn’t sidelined, Sulfur more concentrated around his earlier inquiry and not yet moving on from the display for the same reason.

tabtab🌸 Laughing as the kittens climbed up on him. Smiling, petting them and scooping them up off his shoulders when they climbed up too high. "Now now you little rascals, I'm not a tree!" He chirped in amusement as they continued trying to scale him like a tree or mountain. Not paying much mind to the people milling about unless they wanted to come play with the cats or ask questions about them. Since it would help with adoptions. Most people just stopped and watched before continuing on to what they were shopping for or doing in the first place.
tabtab🌸 Seeing one of the kittens was mewling loudly up at an individual nearby, Kisari tilted his head up from where he sat. Wide eyed a moment when he saw the person with the horns evident on his head. Being something other then human, it wasn't strange for Kisari to see another kind of being. Maybe it was just....he was so used to seeing the mostly human looking individuals around town, he just didn't think anyone would be so outrightly....there. Just like, there in full blown appearance of what they were and not trying to hide as human.
tabtab🌸 Smiling as he got up, standing and walked over to the end of the playpen area where they were standing. Scooping up the munchkin that had been mewling up at the horned individual. "Hi there~ Did you have questions or anything? Or did you want to come in and play with the kittens a bit?" Unlatching the gate to let him in as a couple cats came running over to circle around the new stranger's ankles. "Oh, is it cold out? They appear to want to warm you up." As he heard their mewling saying 'this being is chilly, kitty pile time!' Chuckling lightly, he heard it like a rallying cry from the munchkins. More swarming around the horned individual. Kisari set down the one he was holding as they joined the fray. Extending his hand to shake, "It's nice to meet you...I'm Kisari. Sit if you'd like, it makes it easier with these munchkins wriggling about." Not accidentally stepping on any paws.

The door to the shop opened once again, slowly and creaking as the tall feminine figure stood in the doorway, backlit by the dim grey morning outside as their eyes scanned the store before they finally stepped in. Their boots made slow methodical 'clomps' as they heel-toed their way down the central isle, apparently not minding that they occasionally dripped water from their jacket and their wild mane of blonde hair. Every now and then the woman stopped and stared at on of the displays, pausing to eye some of the puppies and smaller mammals, at one point glaring intensely at a hamster before moving on to the reptiles. These seemed to catch her interest as the snakes slithered along the glass in curiosity as she dragged a finger along their cases before circling to the front where she stared down at the kittens romping in their pen. A smile crossed the woman's face as she knelt down and extended a hand toward the furry creatures, strangely it looked as if she was wearing a glove of some kind, armored with dull gold paint scratched in several places. As she brought her hand close to one of the kittens, the fur baby suddenly hissed and swiped a paw at the girl, causing her to quickly draw her hand back with a quick but faintly audible whirring sound. The blonde stared at her hand sadly for a moment before looking over at the kitten that had pressed itself back against the caretaker and sighed. "You too huh?"

For a moment, Sulfur hovered before the idea to turn away eventually passed through his mind. Instead of walking elsewhere by extent, there was a pause and shift in his demeanor as he looked down with some absent curiosity. Near where he was standing at, one of the small cats wandering around the space ahead had moved toward his direction and had started to meow at him, as far as that appeared. Briefly blinking at them, his attention moved away and more to a level angle as the person in that divide stood up and started to also move in this direction. At that realization, Sulfur shifted where he stood and indecision spaced out toward either excusing himself or remaining where he was. The latter was decided on by the fact he couldn’t drift off, and a background thought toward needing to be social.
After the other person ahead scooped up the cat, they stood, then aiming a greeting ahead. This was nearly answered right off, a pause to listen to what came after breaking up Sulfur’s response before he actually spoke. "--I don’t really have any. If that’s allowed, I guess that would be fine?" Around the time that was brought up, the other had unlatched the door to the fencing; after a pause, Sulfur walking ahead and hesitating as a couple cats wandered over and started to circle where he ended up.
Watching them run around, some inquiry and related curious tone went by his expression again, the idea to get down more to their level and interact passing by. Before doing that however, his gaze drifted back ahead to the other, another question having been aimed his way. "Not as far as I know--" Explaining that wasn’t too far from his mind, but at the same time held at more of a balance between trying to or not. As more cats started to run over for some reason, the other moved over and introduced himself, extending a hand to shake. This was taken shortly after a few words were managed in response. "--I go by Sulfur, same." Although awkward in wording, he didn’t stray away from that answer. After a moment and a brief look down again, a nod at the suggestion occurred before he did anything else.
Over to the side, there was a hiss from one of the cats. A shift in attention occurred, Sulfur looking over to where it had come from; a question spaced out in his mind before he aimed another unconscious inquiry toward the person that had been swatted at. "What...?" This died away shortly, self-consciousness at that word causing some indecision; Sulfur not yet sitting or doing else in response to earlier discussion.
