Gideon woke up with a start, springing up from his bed, sweating, and barely holding in a scream. His wand was in his hand, but he gently put it down. It had only been a dream. And yet so vivid... While Gideon usually woke up early, he hardly ever had nightmares. Last night had been different. Already, the dream was slipping away. All Gideon could remember was screaming, flashes, Fabian, a house, green... Fabian. And what had the green been about? It had come in a flash, and then there was more screaming... Gideon shook his head. Dreams were dreams. Sometimes they meant things, but usually they were rubbish. Gideon thought this to be the latter. He went over to the water tap near the window. Dawn had just begun to shed its first light on the grounds. Gideon filled a glass, drank some, and poured the rest over his head, both to cool him down and wake him up. Despite his indifferent reaction to the dream, he felt a very real chill crawl up his spine. It was the inclusion of Fabian in it that disturbed him. It was hazy, but he knew his brother had been in it. And that green flash... No matter, Gideon thought to himself. It was just a bloody dream, okay? Gideon stretched, and then begun to change. His thoughts stayed on the nightmare until the noise of the rest of his house waking took his thoughts away. For the moment.

Severus heard the voices of the other boys waking up and jolted upwards. If they were already up, that meant it had to be nearly mid-morning. Usually a light, finicky sleeper, he was used to waking up minutes before the sun had arisen. How, then, had he allowed himself to sleep so long this night? Opening the bedcurtains, he was momentarily blinded by the sunlight streaming in from the window. He winced and blinked furiously, trying to adjust to the brightness of the room.
Getting up, he quickly tossed on the robes he had set out for himself that previous night and toed on his shoes. Running a comb quickly through his hair and giving himself a once-over in the mirror, he set out for the Great Hall to get a bite to eat.
Upon arriving, he noticed that many Slytherins were already there eating-- and a few Gryffindors. He cursed. Just what time was it, anyway? It had to be nearing noon for Gryffindors to be out of their beds. Sighing, he took a seat at the Slytherin table, grabbed a piece of toast and scooped some eggs onto his plate, and began eating resignedly.

Upon arriving to the castle, James had secretly schemed at some way to let Lucius Malfoy have it. Sure, Lucius had never done anything to him, but that prat deserved it. Walking around like he owned the place with that... with that.. shiny hair and that... well, okay, he really didn't have a reason but damn it, it would be funny as hell to do something to Lucius "Fabio" Malfoy.
His utterly brilliant plan had begun to take shape on the carriage ride there, but he didn't want to share with his fellow Gryffindor mates-- that would spoil the suprise! So he waited until after the feast when all the students would be heading back to their respective common rooms. In throngs. Many people around. That would be when he would surreptitiously hit Lucis the God of Slytherin Malfoy with a fainting hex. Ohhh, it was brilliant. He nearly cackled aloud at his sheer genius, but that would have given him away, invisibility cloak or no.
Creeping up behind Lucius as closely as he dared, he muttered the hex and noticed, to his glee, that Lucius began to slow his pace, then began to wobble a bit. He accidentally let out a bark of laughter as Lucius crumpled gracelessly to the floor, then clapped his hands tightly around his mouth, grimacing. A Slytherin looked in his direction, but he didn't see him, of course, because he had his invisibility cloak on, thank God.
Making a mad dash back towards the Gryffindor common room, he giggled with glee over what he had done. He flung off his cloak halfway there because he didn't want to seem suspicious, and, reaching the portrait, he muttered the pass and stepped inside, grinning fiendishly.
Well, he hadn't had the time to tell Remus and Sirius by the end of DADA the next day, 'cause they were running about together seeming Very Sulky and/or Suspicious, when he heard a low "You b*****d!" from behind him. Thinking "hmm?" to himself, he turned round, but not before a curse hit him squarely in the bum. In the bum! In horror, he saw that the curse-thrower was none other than Goyle. One of Lucius' lackeys. Who hadn't a brain cell in his entire head! How the hell had he been able to sneak up on James like that and curse him?! HOW? But right now his bum was smarting too much to shout anything other than "ARSEFACE!" before dashing to the Hospital Wing, rubbing his behind as he went. ____________________________
James emerged from the Hospital wing, pride still intact, albeit a little worse for wear. He winced a little, rubbing his sore bottom, where the curse had hit him. The curse that Goyle had thrown at him. Okay, so maybe his pride was a bit shattered, but no one else had noticed... hopefully. Damn Slytherins.... He had missed Astronomy, but oh well, that class was boring, anyway.
He made his way down to the Great Hall, and, entering, slunk over to the Gryffindor table and gingerly sat down, waiting for Sirius, Remus, and Peter.

Sirius woke up feeling quite refreshed. He sat up in his bed, noticing that he wasn't the only one who had slept late that day, and stretched, giving his hair a quick comb-through with his fingers. He slid out of bed and put on his nicely-pressed robes. Making sure they were, indeed, wrinkle-free, he went to stand in front of the mirror, admiring the view. After fixing his hair too look gorgeously rumpled, he went down to the common room to see who was around. Halfway down the steps, however, his stomach gave a mighty growl, and he decided that he might as well make a breakfast run.
On his way down to the Great Hall, he mused over the recent absence of James. It was odd for his best mate to go anywhere for long periods of time without even mentioning to Sirius in passing what he might be up to. Had the last time he'd seen James really been in DADA?
Upon entering the Great Hall, Sirius scanned the Gryffindor table, wondering who he should sit with. His eyes landed upon James, and Sirius' face lit up. He quickly took a seat next to him and shoveled food onto his plate. "Where've you been, mate?"

Bellatrix woke slowly from her dream, the morning light filtering through her green bed curtains. She yawned, rubbing the sleep out of her eyes as she sat up, her kitten tumbling off her chest as she did. Sighing, she climbed out of the bed, there was no rush this morning; since they had break first, then transfiguration. Glancing around the dorm room, she noticed most of the girls were still asleep in their beds, Bella had always been an early riser. Stretching her arms over her head, she yawned and made her way to the bathroom. After her morning routine, she went straight back to her bed, where Thos was playfully attacking the dust shining in the light. Laying back down on the bed, she pulled a book out of her bedstand drawer. The book was huge, and she layed it flat on the bed, laying on her stomach, her arms propping up her body. Finding the page she left off at, she began reading; she had awhile before she really needed to start working on her homework.

Remus awoke with a groan, lifting his head from his pillows. He was lying on his stomach, his covers tangled around his legs. Pulling himself out of the nest, he quickly dressed and washed, heading straight down to the Great Hall when he realized most everyone was already at breakfast. Once there, he smiled, spotting James and Sirius, quickly taking the seat across from Sirius. He grinned good-naturedly at James, "So, you're alive?"
He started piling food onto his plate, giving Sirius a soft, secretive smile before starting to shovel food into his mouth. Remus' mind was already on the homework that he would start during their free period. He knew if he didn't get the work done, then none of them would pass the year.
