The Machine [Open/Accepting]

After her bath, Shadow opened up the door with a towel wrapped around her body. Curiously, around her neck was a pendent with the symbol for the Mt. Angelo church. She walked over to Zil to make sure he was still out. She leaned over to check his eyes, smelling like sweet fruit and fresh steam with a hint of booze. "Good. He's still out." She muttered, turning and getting dressed in pajamas.

Zil still pretended to be asleep although Shadow's scent rather aroused him. As she dressed, he did his best to keep his eyes shut but stole a glimpse every now and then, closing his eyes again and cursing himself inside to stop frikking looking at her that way. In the end, his respect for her and a few peeks won over and he continued pretending to be asleep although very much aroused.

After getting in her pajamas, instead of crawling into bed like she normally did, she went to check him again. She put her hand to his head, feeling his heart beating quickly as his forehead burned. "A fever?" She muttered surprised he had gotten one so suddenly. 'Maybe that's why he seemed so convincing.' She thought, leaving to get him a glass of water with a straw before returning and setting the glass within his reach. 'What a pain. How am I supposed to interrogate someone who is unhealthy?'

'Oh crap... Really' Zil thought to himself, his head still a little fuzzy from her trying to knock him out. He did his best to appear still and in dream state but what he couldn't hid was the standing ovation in his pants. Even so, he still pretended to be asleep and unconscious or something...

"I suppose I'll deal with it when it comes." She sighed, thinking about how much of a pain it would be to bring him back to health while trying to get information out of him. She gave him a small kiss on the nose like her mother had always done when she was sick. Then she let out a sigh before turning and crawling into bed to sleep.

Zil got out of his binds like they were nothing after he was able to reach his knife. "Now let's get out of here", he muttered bluntly. He was about to find an exit like last time but passing by Shadow's bed distracted him. He glanced at her at first. He thought looking would be just harmless but then his feet started to rebel. Next thing he knew, he was at her bedside, about to touch her when he snapped out of it and winced, taking his hand back as though it was about to get lost if he didn't. "Why did she...?" he trailed off, remembering the kiss on the nose. He contorted his face, embarrassed, remembering it and as much as he wanted to touch her, he just stood there, neither coming closer or leaving. "I must be a monster to you", he said in a somber tone.

Shadow's eyes opened slightly as she watched Zil, waiting for him to leave. She quickly closed her eyes as he turned back towards her and spoke. 'Why are you still here?' She thought. After all, she knew he was probably going to do this, which is why she didn't search him. As he stood over her, she pretended to still be asleep.

"What the heck?" Zil said, heading back to the recliner. He wouldn't want those guys coming back and attacking Shadow again tonight. Besides, maybe there was still a chance to convince her even if it meant telling the truth. The truth sounded fine to him at this point. He felt like she was to be a part of him one day... If she could only forgive him. Being framed really hurt but if only... If only there was a way to convince her. He sat back in the chair heaving a great sigh. Talking wasn't his favorite thing in the world.. Which is why he normally left it to Dustin.

Shadow said nothing, hearing him as he went back to sleep in the recliner. 'Why is he staying?' she thought, but tried not to think too hard. She rolled over in her bed and tried to go to sleep.

Damien headed back to his manor in a pissed off mood. He needed to see his kids to calm down. He also needed some good action in bed with one or more of his lovers to try and make him forget what happened at the restaurant.

The twins were waxing the new finish on the car and washing it off. When they finished, both stood back, amazed at their hard work. It was decorated in an antique, Gothic type of fashion, like the cars Damien liked, giving a sleek look of high class. It was black on gold, with a gold rose pattern covering the sides to create an image of black roses. It turned out better then either of them expected, and they both couldn't wait to see their father's face when he saw.

Damien was informed where the twins were and went down. He knocked on the door of the garage because he didn't want to surprise them if they were doing something important with the car.

The twins looked at each other. 'Dinner time already?' They thought, turning to the door. "Come in!" They called to the person behind the door, thinking it was a servant with a platter of food rather then their father.

Damien opened the door and stepped in. He had changed out of his disguise, so he would be recognisable. "Hello, there what are you two-" he started to ask before spotting the car. After a moment of just staring at it, he finally said "wow".

Seeing their father's face of shock, the twins smiled and squirmed giddily. "It's finished!" They announced together with beaming faces.
