"We'll send her over there now," the manager said and he waited for confirmation of that.
***
Henrietta nodded. "No, I've never been on a date." The walk there wasn't an overall amazing thing - but Henrietta was freezing and in heels. Still, she didn't complain, she simply rubbed her arms to keep them warm.
((Totally making the post longer with throw away actions.))
"What do you want to know?"
***
A whole bottle of Jack. To Goldberg, that was a shot. Just one. With a sigh of contentness as he finished the entire bottle in one go, he grinned, turning around to face the party.
"Hey," his voice boomed as he looked over at Jump. "Betcha fifty I can land a real looker before you can."

Luka nodded. "Hrm. Righteo." He held out his hand in greeting, "In case you were wondering, the name's Luka. Luka McFly. What's yours kid?" Luka didn't quite know what to do, so, he was just making polite conversation seeing as he hadn't spotted anyone he recognised just yet.

The manager would receive confirmation of that. It was good.

Reid couldn't help but let out a small laugh. "That's a good question," he mused, looking into the distance.
No. It was a great question. The target was willingly playing into his hand. This was excellent. But he couldn't blow it. He needed to make it natural.
"You're a pokemon trainer. Why?"
****
Jump's ears wiggled. A challenge? From whom?
He rose his eyebrows and looked up, up, up from his xtransceiver at Goldberg. His purple eyes looked over the giant man. Jump grinned, and stifled a laugh.
"For real? I mean-" Jump's tongue became tied while he covered up another short laugh. "I mean, c'mon. Do you know who I am?"

Luka nodded. "So, what are you doing here at the Plasma Banquet? It doesn't quite strike me as a place for a ten year old to go on a date."

Henrietta considered the question. "Why did I start? I guess..." She thought about it for a moment longer. "I was running away."
She looked over at Reid. "My turn. What's at this party? I'm not sure what we'll be doing there."
***
Goldberg laughed, a rumbling booming sound - jolly. "Don't believe anything you can't see, kiddo." She pointed to one of the girls, some pretty thing in a pink dress. "Alright, you'll woo her then."

"Idiots," Zack grumbled, switching off his Xtransceiver to stop Jump and Goldberg's voices blaring through. As he turned around, one of the patrolmen was making his way around the corner.
"Hey!" he called out, speeding up his pace, moving deliberately. Zack counted the seconds, possible excuses for skulking around the side of the building dwindling to nil. The patrolman must've been thinking similarly, because he started to reach for his radio.
He hit the floor a second later with a broken nose. Zack remained in position for a moment, palm raised and held where the man's head had been, legs spread in his ready stance. He breathed out sharply, letting his Aura settle. He'd been careful to steady its fluctuation. With luck, anyone who was watching out for Aura usage would assume it was a wild pokémon using a technique.
But still, he had to move quickly. Looking up at the second floor window, Zack gauged the climb and got to work. Leaving the patrolman unconscious, he scaled the drainpipe that ran up and past the window. Zack leant over and gave the lock a quick tap with his fist, breaking it and allowing the window to swing outward.
Getting inside was easy. He closed the window behind himself silently while glancing around the hall. The noise of the party was much louder inside. Still muffled because of the floor difference, but heavier. He could tell that more people were arriving. If Jump was right, then Ghetsis would be appearing soon and any intel Plasma had lying around would be off limits. Getting to it without raising an alarm would be too problematic.
"Okay," he said quietly, pulling the print-out of the floor schematics from his pocket. "All I have to do is follow this map."
Crap.

"Food. And dancing." Well, that was obvious. Henrietta didn't need to be a mind reader to know that. "Once the party is well underway, a representative of Team Plasma named Ghetsis will be giving a speech before holding a forum for questions. Then probably more dancing."
The blue haired teen smirked and met Henrietta's gaze. This was too easy. Reid needed to get her more comfortable. For telepaths, comfort meant vulnerability. But at the same time, he still needed to prod, which could make her wary. If she started thinking about it enough, he could scan her memories.
"My turn. What you were running from?"
****
Jump smirked and held up his xtransceiver again. "I have to go mister, uh, Uncle, uh...Zack. Good luck with your sobriety meeting!"
The Interpol Agent hung up, confident and unaware that it was Zack who had ended the call. Perfect cover. He didn't have an Uncle Zack at all. No way it could be tied back to anything. Not that it seemed to matter to this guy.
"So we're pickin' each other's lady, huh? Gotcha. Then you have to woo, uh, that one."
Jump jabbed his thumb over his shoulder. Across the room was a woman with pink hair and green eyes, wearing a waitress's uniform with the Plasma emblem. "She's your girl."

Robby had, well, been doing nothing really. He was sitting in some nameless location watching his pokemon arm wrestling. At some point, they'd been healed, and now, Bell and Bacon were seeing who was stronger. At the moment? The timburr was.
And then an unspeakable horror arrived, sneaking up behind the obese lad and speaking in a voice that he could barely understand. "Hey. Dey got food over der." The woman said, the woman known to the obese lad as Maw.
"Yeah?" He asked, standing up and returning his pokemon. "Why tell me?"
"Cause I gotta eat." Maw said. It made no sense.
And Robby accepted the logic to head towards the banquet, wearing his usual shirt and pants. Who ever heard of dressing up for a buffet?
And so, the two giants were off.

((The last furry we cut in half, after ruining everything he worked for. Just saying, don't be that guy.))
"People, myself, my past." Henrietta gave the simple answer as she stared off someplace in the clouds. The city skies weren't as pretty as other locations, but this was the sky Henrietta had grown up with. To her, this many stars was fine - it was still pretty.
Still, there was a certain surrealness to everything. She'd come a long way, a very hard, long road. Sure, it had only been six days - but six days that would've killed a lesser person. Would've made them quit. If Luka had experienced half of what she had, he probably would've just stayed in Nacrene - stayed home.
Henrietta felt calmer. Reid wasn't, to her, a date to impress. He wasn't a friend that she'd be scared of running off. He was just a guy asking questions - someone she'd never see again. And he'd done her a great favor. Coupled with that long road, she felt a conversation wasn't difficult. The shy little Humietta, coming out of her shell.
"I've never danced before. Why did you want to go to the banquet?"
***
"Buddy, I hope you brought cash with your ego," Goldberg's voice boomed. Rising to his full height, ten feet, he made his way across the dance floor - to the waitress. Oh yeah, this was going to be easy.

Luka nodded. "Still not the type of place I'd take a girl on a date, but, I'm assuming she's a real politics nut if she's come with you 'cus I can't see it being particularly fantastical. They don't strike me as those types of people." Well.... That wasn't quite true. Team Plasma were perhaps more than a little crazy and capable of doing some crazy things, but, that didn't quite make it seem like they would be putting on the most amazing party in the world. ((He's most likely so, so wrong. But eh. XD Should be fun to show his confusion at them actually pulling it off without a hitch if everything does go off without a hitch.))

Reid nodded, his fingers still to his head. He scanned Henrietta's surface memories, but dared not to probe further. Not until the banquet. From what he gathered, she was still willing to keep talking. Things were going well, and now they were only a block away.
"I'm going to listen to what Team Plasma has to say. Their activities have been interesting as of late. I saw on the news that they got into a scuffle in the Pinwheel Forest that may have started a fire."
****
Jump rolled his eyes as he also was handed a bottle of Jack. Of course he didn't bring cash with his ego. He wouldn't have enough cash to balance it out.
The Interpol Agent leaned the bottle back and prepared the chug, but stopped. He had almost forgotten that he had brought Salieri with him to the party. That meant no drinking. After all, what would Moze say if he found out that Jump was drunk and taking care of his sister?
"Well maybe just a little."
So he chugged the bottle. Unlike with Goldberg, a bottle of Jack to Jump was still a bottle of Jack. But he had started drinking when he was around twelve years old and had been going strong since. He wasn't phased.
He checked his hair one last time in the window behind the bar before making his way over to the girl in the pink dress. Pink. Not his favorite. As a general rule of thumb, Jump felt that girls who wore pink were either children or slutty. If it was the latter, it would make his job easier.
Except he didn't want to sleep with this random girl. He just wanted to show Goldberg that he could. But flirting was harmless, or so he thought.
So Jump walked over to the girl in the pink dress with one hand in his pocket and another holding a half full champagne glass, his stride confident and daring. Just be thankful you're still hot when you're closing in on 30, Jumpman.
"Hey," he said to her, flashing his pearly smile while coming up to her side to lean against the wall. "So are you here for the speech? Or for the dancing?"
****
Meanwhile, Sachiko looked up up and up as Goldberg walked over to her. She didn't budge from her spot, smiling politely up at him with her hands behind her back.
Her position was near the back of the room near the stage where Ghetsis was to enter from. One of her jobs was to make sure no one went back stage.
"Hi! Are you finding everything okay?" she asked Goldberg in the same nice tone she used for her nurse cover.
