Shadow said nothing and let out a small sigh before taking a deep breath. "Well then, if you're tired, take a nap." She said, standing up and patting him on the back. "I got to work soon, so you can use my bed. I'll put the food in the fridge."

Apparently, the former crown prince made it back to Mt. Angelo. Rumors spread throughout the holy city about his return. They say he was bloody and his hair was a mess. They say he wore not the garb of residents of Mt. Angelo nor those fit for a prince... But simple clothes and a dark cloak that enveloped his toned body... That in his arms, his unconscious sister rested, slumbering with an angelic expression on her face... That as soon as he had handed her to a Mt. Angelo guard, he had collapsed and was taken to the hospital... That the people who witnessed were asked to keep quiet about it... That no one knows exactly what had happened.
"Tired of fighting. Everything" Zil said as he shook his head. What if they were no longer necessary? What if there were indeed better leaders that would emerge and succeed where they had failed?

"S-Sister..." Kyrell muttered in his sleep. The doctors did a good job of fixing him up although they still couldn't identify either what exactly he had done but it seems he was tortured and tied up for a brief time evidenced in the rope marks on his wrists and ankles as well as the possible concussion from his head being repeatedly bashed into a hard object... Probably a table.
"I've had a long enough nap, thank you. I think I'll go out for a bit", Zil said, looking to her with a bored look. "Going to meet with him again today?", he asked, trying to sound as uninterested as possible although his voice was almost seething with annoyance at the mention of 'him'.
Monica sighed, pulling her hair back as she kept track of the units in the capital city of Diethelm. She was already back at the Secret Police HQ, coordinating with the chief of the regular police and quietly scolded him from time to time as a video conference between the leaders of the internal national security agencies went on. Most of the secret police were stationed in the capital city to protect the seat of power and carry out "less common" missions concerning top officials. Whenever asked about those missions, she would always say 'That's none of your business. It's top secret information and only the absolute leader can give permission to disclose these matters'. The others would often grumble at her for it since they think many of these 'top secret matters' also involved the many unscrupulous and unpredictable crimes happening around Diethelm. And while the other chiefs would often request the assistance of her force to get to the bottom of these things, she rarely if ever gave them her men. It seems that these crimes were being directed elsewhere within the country to divert attention from the capital and this might just be a ploy to make sure the capital was unguarded once these shady characters begin to strike and she was not liking this one bit.

"Tsk!" Zil looked away, obviously uncomfortable with her answer. "N-No!", he cried out although he also made no effort to ask Shadow if she wanted there to be an affair. He grumbled to himself, tightening his fist and calling himself an idiot. He didn't want to look at Shadow after having asked that. What a nuisance!

"Angry? I don't know what you're talking about" Zil said in reply to her although his expression visibly softened when she touched his cheek. Zil hadn't realized it but his hand also raised itself up to touch Shadow's hand on the side of his face.
