Join Plasma? Was there a reason to be suspicious? Reid wondered if this was a feign. But such a question wouldn't be out of her character. Based on the profile Jaiden created that day, Henrietta was having doubts about being a trainer. A perfect fit for Team Plasma.
There was no real reason to be suspicious, outside of paranoia. Still, Reid remained wary.
"Oh? So then you support pokemon liberation?" They swayed side to side as the music slowed.
****
N stared at Kenta for a moment. He wasn't sure how to deal with this situation. This kid had seen him with Henrietta before? "Oh."
The green haired trainer looked away, and then down at the napkin. "It's a simple cube," he mumbled. His dull eyes shifted to Sasha.
"Is that a Zorua?"
****
Hot head? Jump's brow furrowed. "Alright, you don't wanna bet on us? That's fine with me. But I'm on a mission, and I'm not gonna stop Zack from helping me out if he wants to."
The xtransceiver beeped, and Jump looked down to see the caller. Zack's face was on screen, out in the streets. He looked up at Kero with a grin. "I'm just kickin' it with your dad, dude. So? Did you get lucky or what?"
****
Crofton shrugged as Luka walked away. "Some people just pass up good offers, I guess."
Sachiko walked back into the banquet hall, approaching Crofton. The pink haired woman held up a hand at her side, her palm facing Crofton. The Ranger knew what the look in her eyes meant. It was time for a high five.
Smoothly, he rose up his hand as well, holding it out to Sachiko like she did to him. He didn't have much time for the action, as her pace was steady. But he made sure not to disrupt the rhythm by going too quickly. It was perfectly in sync.
They both drew their palms back as Sachiko was within a step from Crofton. Her foot dropped back to the wood floor and her hand came forward. Crofton pushed through the air with his palm as well.
SNAP! The palms collided, releasing a righteous vibe of supreme coolness that radiated outwards between them. And then it was over, both of them lowering their hands for an cooldown while Sachiko continued her stride, never once breaking it. Epic high five.
Sachiko made her way back to the kitchen while Crofton readjusted his belt with a grin. "Yuuup. Looks like someone got laid."

Kero? Zack didn't betray his surprise openly, but anyone who knew him well knew what his current frown meant: '********.' While he may have left a pile of Plasma guards unconscious and trapped in a second floor office, at least he hadn't left anything that could be traced back to him. It wasn't like they kept (ex)operatives' finger prints on police record.
Government and Interpol record, yes. But not the normal police.
He was in the clear.
"Ditch him. Meet me outside and across the street."

"It's just a thought," Henrietta said as they moved. Her steps seemed to grow more and more graceful - she was getting used to dancing. "I'm sure if I said that to my friends they'd hate me forever, though." She managed a faint smile as her eyes drifted to look around the dance floor.
"Hum.. A student," Henrietta said, her eyes drifting to Reid. At a banquet you must attend, to make a good impression for the community.
"Are you intending to join Plasma tonight?" she asked.
***
"You'll be lucky if this isn't your last mission," Kero said and he turned from Jump, returning to the banquet.

"Word word!" Jump cheered, pumping his fist in the air. This time when Kero walked away, Jump stuck his tongue out at the back of the man's head. What was that guy's problem? He and Kero had never gotten along.
So he made his way outside, to meet Zack on the street. A few people were trying to convince the bouncer to let them in, and there were a few young trainer who drank too much and were kicked out for being far too intoxicated.
Ah, the youth of Unova. Jump grinned. Reminded him of his younger days.
"Dude, your dad is giving me all kinds of s**t about you going on this mission. He's really busting my balls, man. Anyway, whaddya got?"
****
Reid and Henrietta spun around on the dancefloor, moving with the other couples. The dance was picking up tempo again.
"Maybe. I want to hear what Ghetsis has to say first. What about you? What's your reason for wanting to join?"
He needed a better gauge on her motivation. Then maybe he could find out if she was telling the truth or trying to get into his head.

"Don't worry about it," Zack said, glancing over Jump's shoulder to check whether Kero had followed him. Apparently not. Still, it paid to be cautious. He pulled the research papers out of his pocket, unfolding them slightly so that Jump could see a black and white photograph printed on one of the sheets. It was of the Sinnoh Orbs, probably taken by one of the WG researchers. This information was most likely bought on the black market.
"The orbs," Zack spoke quietly, "you remember them, don't you? Plasma has started researching them. Jump, this could be as big as Sinnoh. Hoenn, if we're unlucky."

"Everyone really seems intent that their Pokemon are their friends, but I don't really know if I can see that. L-like, how much is conditioning and how much is real... Even my own Pokemon, I have doubts." Their steps carried them more gracefully, Henrietta being careful not to crush Reid's toes anymore, gauging how far his feet were going to move and attempting to match the distance without going too far.
"What kind of people are here, hum? Like, representatives of places. Do you know?"

The two had made their way to the banquet, both looking out of place among the people wearing their good clothes. Robby was confused at why so many would wear good clothes for a buffet. After all, they might get them dirty. Right? The lad and Ma stood, waiting for a chance to enter.
And then Maw collapsed, holding her arm and reaching out for the banquet as if for food. People looked at her, started gathering. Guards started moving towards her, everyone was starting to react. To notice her.
A good chance to slip inside for Robby Tobb. And a great chance to eat. Free food... His eyes glanced around for it.
Where was the food?

Luka couldn't see anyone at present. That kinda sucked. Eh, he would just go and get himself a drink. So, he went up to the bar, got himself a cider and proceeded to get a little tipsy. You see, this is because Luka is a light-weight. He just cannot take his booze. So, he kinda just sat there for a while thinking about life whilst he started to hiccup. Then, there was that pain in his arm again. It throbbed and then his eyes glazed over and it was like he was in a different world. In his mind he could see in front of him, but everything was black with a blue-ish haze outlining the bartender and a brown haze filling out the bar and his glass. Then it seemed as if Luka could see the entirety of the room. He didn't even have to turn his head. Everything in the room and all of the people... He could see them. But they were all varying shades of blue. What was happening to him. The throbbing in his arm increased until it reached the point where his normal vision returned to him like an explosion. He clutched his head for a few minutes before everything was back to normal. What the hell had just happened?

As Big Ma had a heart attack outside, Goldberg noticed Robby. "Hey," his voice boomed as he approached, standing at his full height. "How about we make this interesting?" After all, eating food normally was dull, and he hadn't had the chance to suggest eating food off of Sachiko before she left.
"Eating contest round two," he said before he turned, grasping a waiter's shoulder. "We'll have everything." He produced a credit card.

Robby looked up at the man. Lawrence... His eyes turned into a glare, his lips curled to snarl. "Alright. Sounds good." He said, looking at the waiter who had scampered off.
Food was loaded, and everything that Lawrence could afford with that card was brought. Robby stood at one side of the table, and looked at Lawrence for the timing. Now. His hands moved, his jaw opened. And what really couldn't be called eating began.

It was amazing and terrifying at the same time. The normal reaction to someone of Robby's size was a fear of being eaten. But Robby was different, it was like food just couldn't exist before him and because of that it appeared to cease to exist.
Consumed at a pace that could be more accurately described as 'disappearing' and swallowed at a pace could could be more like 'the destruction of matter' instead of eating and chewing.
Goldberg, however, was not so weak as to lose to such a man. Food consumed, disappearing at the same pace. A quickness, a haste and motion of hands that martial arts experts probably couldn't follow. Jaws closing around food at a speed that fighting pokemon probably couldn't follow.
