Valiant followed behind, off of the group, not really wanting to show them his shame. He hated the fact that he was weaker than them all, even if their skills and intelligence were halved.

“The trees that whisper in the evening... Carried away by a moonlight shadow...”Falathiel looks back at Valiant, a frown hidden under her mask. "Now really isn't the time for feeling shame and self hate, boy.", she informs him, sensing what he was feeling but still giving him the privacy of his specific thoughts. “Sing a song of sorrow and grieving... Carried away by a moonlight shadow...” -'Moonlight Shadow', Mike Oldfield

Scott instantly summoned a Cerberus to protect his thoughts as he looked up, blushing. "Sorry." He summoned the Cerberus only to keep her out, in case that was how she knew how he was feeling. It was also more like self-disappointment.

“The trees that whisper in the evening... Carried away by a moonlight shadow...”"Your feelings are strong enough that I can feel them without entering your mind...", Flathiel says softly as she falls back to walk beside him. She hesitates a moment before asking, "What's wrong..?" Her human social skills were sadly lacking, but she was willing to at least try and help the young man with whatever was troubling him. “Sing a song of sorrow and grieving... Carried away by a moonlight shadow...” -'Moonlight Shadow', Mike Oldfield

Valiant turned away a bit and lowered his Cerberus guard. "Read my thoughts." He didn't want the others finding out. He instantly made ready his thoughts for her, thinking about how he wasn't strong like his family or the others. Even his younger sisters were stronger. Well, they were more like his cousins his parents took care of, but still.

((lol, I've done that, especially if I'm using similar colors for my posts. I also keep misspelling Falathiel)) “The trees that whisper in the evening... Carried away by a moonlight shadow...”Falathiel listens quietly to Valiant's thoughts before sending him a thought of her own, "We're all weak at first, it's all a matter of patience, especially with an element like water." “Sing a song of sorrow and grieving... Carried away by a moonlight shadow...” -'Moonlight Shadow', Mike Oldfield

Val shook his head slightly. You would think that an element that flows throughout all like would be easier to control. Most I did was purify some water and create a small puddle. Other times water just rippled.

“The trees that whisper in the evening... Carried away by a moonlight shadow...”"The flow is why it's so difficult to control. If you try to force it to immediately change to something completely different, it won't go how you want. It can be stubborn in this way, much like earth.", the Huntress sends in response. “Sing a song of sorrow and grieving... Carried away by a moonlight shadow...” -'Moonlight Shadow', Mike Oldfield ((Am I making sense..?))

Valiant sighed. He shrugged and blocked her out again. "I guess your right,' He said. He breathed deeply, gathering his strength to fight the depression.

“The trees that whisper in the evening... Carried away by a moonlight shadow...”Falathiel watches him for a few more seconds before making her way to the front of the group once again. “Sing a song of sorrow and grieving... Carried away by a moonlight shadow...” -'Moonlight Shadow', Mike Oldfield

Rand crouched low to the ground as he cupped his chin in his hands, his thoughts going back to part of his reasons for coming to the Light Kingdom. While Fala was assisting Valiant he was already lost in his own memories on how he had been wandering aimlessly, his life devoid of purpose beyond avenging his father. He hadn't initially come along to fulfill his role as a Guardian; he just wanted to find out who he needed to kill to ease the small spark of vengeance that rested within his chest. Yet now he had a new goal, even if he still would enjoy striking down those responsible for his loss; he could at least try to help as many people as he could with the power he had been gifted with.

"You came here for the purpose of vengeance?" Shechina asked Rand softly. He hadn't said anything out loud, and she realized that the second the words came out of her mouth. "Sorry," she said, blushing with embarrassment. "I don't mean to intrude on your mind and thoughts. It's just that those thoughts were almost projected out, and a Spirit mage is able to hear thoughts. I've been working on blocking others' thoughts, but it doesn't always work when they're so strong."
