The difference between the good guys and the bad guys Looking at Luca as he stood Kai remained silent. He was less listening to his words and more watching his movements along with Kojo's. His eyes followed the boy as he went to pull the cards from his sleeve. His mind was going thru all the possible things that could happen and the feelings from Xandra filling his head. She didn't trust the two for a reason as they were the one's that had put her in pain. Kai remained silent as the boy extended his hand out to shake his. His eyes on full intake as he made note of every little detail of him in a few seconds as he slowly reached his hand out towards the outstretched hand.
Is whether they use a human shield or make themselves one.

Luca smiled. "Again i apologize for my friend...he is rather rash. No hard feelings eh?" he said sweetly as he closed his eyes.
Kojo sighed. "Yeah sorry...." He said sincerely.

Zil shook his head and laughed with Reiko as he followed Koyuki to the next classroom. "You're right. Blood rites are too painful. Sacred, blessed or special inks are hard to come by though and I hear they're grueling to make. Which is why dad didn't give me any when he sent me here. He just gave me pre-written talismans. They use his spirit guardian's power though since well, I can't because I don't have a guardian." He brought out the one his father gave him on the last minute. It was a high level paper talisman with the symbols for luck written on it in an ancient language. One could feel the powerful aura emanating from it. He handed it to Reiko saying, "Here, you can have this one if you like. It's pretty good. Blessed by the current head of our clan"

Reiko looked at the talisman and smiled. "Thank you. Spirit ink is hard to come by, how ever i'm a guardian who uses an infinite amount of it." he said tapping his brush. "Though my magic isn't as strong as some others." He said looking at the ground

Zil laughed heartily and shook his head. He said to Reiko, "Everyone starts out a beginner at first but having that mindset will cripple you. I'm not the greatest shaman nor knife artist right now but..." He looked up in delightful thought, "I'll train hard and surpass my father someday." He then thought of what Reiko said and thought, 'Geez. It'd be so cool if this little guy were my guardian. But he probably already has a student'. He shrugged and smiled sweetly. "Mind you, I don't believe I caught your name", he said, looking a tad embarrassed.

"My name is Reiko. And yours is?" he said smiling. He for sure felt a connection with this child. he felt as if he finally found the student he was supposed to be partners with. He knew he could become stronger with this kid

Zil felt surprisingly relaxed while he chatted with Reiko. It was not merely a facade but he genuinely did feel lighthearted. He replied. "I'm Zil. Artiste extraordinaire, at your service!", he made a flamboyant and rather comedic bow with a slight tip of the imaginary hat before looking up again and saying, "Pleasure to meet you!"

Yu came to a stop when he noticed Mikey appear in front of him. "...Fine if you insist, but don't blame us if something happens to you." he said before continuing on.
Koyuki let out a silent sigh. When they reached the classroom, she stopped a bit away from the door so she could hear the thoughts of those inside without anyone noticing. She heard the lies they were spewing as well as finding out that the little blue cat was safe for now.

Zil gestured to Reiko and said, "C'mon. I'm gonna be late for class. By the way, where's your student? You wandering alone?", he asked in an attempt to find out if Reiko really had a partner yet or not. He put a gentle hand on Koyuki's shoulder when he passed through the door, waving awkwardly at Mikey, singing a children's nursery rhyme inside his head in order to not be able to think about anything relating to Koyuki, other men and jealousy. He, himself, found it improper to think like that. After all, just about an hour or so ago, he thought Koyuki was a guy. He walked over to a nice, empty seat, patting the table next to his, gesturing to Penny as Koyuki seemed a little busy. He knew she would come soon anyway when class starts.

Reiko shoke his head. "I have no partner." he said sadly. "I"ve been here for centuries and have found no one i synced with." He said simply sighing as he followed Zil inside
Luca's eyes narrowed. he picked up on Koyuki listening in he reconized the sense of being spied on from earlier. He shrugged his shoulder sending a grey aura up to kojo. "Unlock" he whispered
Kojo nodded. "I got it." he said closing his eyes. He opened his mouth as a purple fog rolled out of him. It flowed onto the floor before flowing out into the hall. It flowed around Koyuki's legs "So you want to spy on our thoughts...." kojo's voice rang out as the fog wrapped around Koyuki. a hand formed from the fog and wrapped around her chest grabbing her shoulder. a young man in a steam punk top hat appeared behind her with purple eyes. "I should rip the soul form your mortal...." The young man whispered and smiled creepily, much like kojo's smile.

"Ahh, is that so?", Zil replied to Reiko, looking a bit contemplative. 'Must be a picky one. Don't want to look pushy though', he thought to himself. Zil smiled at him and scratched the back of his head. "Then I hope we could both find our partners soon. I wish I knew how you feel this 'syncing' thing though. Sounds tricky if you haven't found a partner in centuries. Surely, you look like a great buddy"
"Oh crap.", Zil said then, sensing trouble. He decided he did not want to waste any more talismans on the petty bullying of Luca and Kojo. He narrowed his eyes, looking at them before closing his eyes again, beginning to chant softly to himself, holding the beads that were wrapped around his arm. They began to vibrate subtly and suddenly, regular spirits appeared at Zil's summoning. Some were ghosts from around campus, some were called from outside. A great samurai spirit lead the charge, spiritually decapitating the spirit from the purple fog and four of the spirits hovered around Koyuki although her being able to see them would depend entirely on whether she had her third eye open or not. He just planned on keeping her safe until the start of the class anyway so this should be enough. Anyway, when spirits are defeated in battle, they are simply subdued and unable to move about. Cleansing is the only way to force them into the light if they don't do it themselves. When his instructions were clear, he opened his eyes again and said to Reiko, "Sorry. Some of my friends are coming over, it seems." He smiled aagain.

Sitting back in his chair Kai shook his head slightly. He didn't like how things seemed to be in this class with Luca and his guardian. He made a mental note to stay away from them. Letting his eyes gaze around the class he watched what Kujo had been doing and followed the thing that he had unleashed as it headed out of the classroom. Was he attacking another student he wondered. As long as it wasn't him or his guardian he wouldn't step in and would instead let the teachers do there job in this kind of case.

Kyo hissed and lunged that the man that appeared behind Koyuki.
Once the other spirits came, she felt the grip loosen as she used that opportunity to break away, stumbling back and facing the purple fog. Koyuki couldn't see the ghosts, but she could definitely feel something around her, something that was helping her.

Luca smirked as he went to sit down. "Silly shaman."
The spirit of the fog fell to the ground and then stood back up. "Ouch...." He said as his head reattached. "Oh...a samurai...a new snack!" He said as his eyes turned feral.
Reiko saw the fog and saw what Zil was doing. "Zil...call them off before it's too late! Kojo is unbound from his medium!" Reiko said as he looked towards the door.
The man smirked. "I can finally get my hands on you mortals. Being cramped up in the doll makes me hungry! I'm glad Luca unlocked my medium for me!" He said licking his lips. He stretched his arm out and grabbed the samurai by his face. "Your souls are my favorite..." He lifted him up and pulled him towards him. Kojo opened his mouth and devoured the samurai. "Yummy....who's next." He said as he licked his lips.
Reiko looked around. "Zil, would you like to watch me seal a spirit in it's medium?" he said smirking

"Relax. These are cleansed spirits. Their intents are pure. No taint can hold them down since they're not earthbound. Only binding and sealing will work on them. They're spirit guardian material. Most of them actually want to be spirit guardians so they choose not to go into the light. The samurai is actually one of my friends' spirit guardians. But I guess we can't use his full potential when his partner is several kilometers away. That's the only negative thing about being a guardian", Zil said calmly.
The samurai drifted out of Kojo again. 'Tsk. I'll overstay my welcome. You know we guardians can't be separated from our partners too long. Farewell, Zil. I'll tell my partner that you are alive and well', the spirit said straight into Zil's mind.
"Hn. Well that's peculiar. He's gone already" Zil said. " Anyway, spirit guardians grow weaker the farther and the longer away they are from their partners. you can't kill a spirit guardian. You can subdue their partners though. They go straight into the light when their partners die anyway. There's a one day grace period in case someone else might feel an attraction to the guardian though. Besides, if only he weren't some kind of necromancer, this room can be blazing with spirits in one moment. But because he is, these kinds are the only ones I can call. Unless of course I took the arduous route of cleansing them one by one and seeing who will stay and who will go to face judgment"
He looked at Reiko with curious eyes and said, "Go right ahead. I've only heard of them but I haven't seen it being done personally since there's really no need where we live"
