The next portion of the training seemed to be simple moves; strikes, kicks, and palm strikes-- her forte. Moving towards the dummy she stood a small ways away, getting into her most comfortable stance, the stance she took when she was training in fire. She coiled herself in, becoming small, like a spring about to let loose. After a while of standing like this, getting use to the feeling of her muscles tensing with the energy to strike, she sprung forward blowing the black hair from her face.Her hand connected to the misshapen blob that was supposed to be the dummy’s head, and then recoiled back. She tried this strike a few times, imagining in her head what it would be like against a living target. When all one did was train against a dummy, it was all too easy to get lulled into a sense of complacency, to get used to an unmoving target.

The next move was a kick of sorts; the variety in the style was very attractive. Zyuna took a stance before the dummy, doing just as the move directed. Crouched knees, the extend a leg for the kick, hop, another stronger kick. The balance was weird on this move, and Zyuna was forced to do the move several times order to allow her to get used to it. She then attempted to do the chain into Coiled Snake like the move suggested and she found that when she did so, her Coiled Snake attack hit harder the more momentum was picked up from Extending Rooster. She wasn’t entirely happy with the move in itself and made a mental note to not use it unless she had to.

Zyuna sighed softly, making a few handseals to summon a simple clone. She gave it a simple direction, to just throw a simple punch or kick in her direction. After a few moments of a pause, it did so. Zyuna pushed back, jumping backwards out of the way a decent distance. She bounced on her dominant leg, her right, a few times before jumping back in, with a palm headed straight for her clone’s face. She stopped short, letting out a soft breath, staring back into her own pale eyes. She told the clone to do it again, going back into her original stance, and it obeyed. Several tries of this move got her acquainted with it, and she moved on dispersing the clone.

The next move was a defensive move, taking a deep breath Zyu got in to a stance much like when she was practicing water. The female let her hands flow, one hand above, one hand below, as she imagined water hardening in to protective ice. With a sharp turn of her hips, her arms repositioned so that one arm was protectively pointing down towards her foot, and the other was protectively up to protect her face and her upper torso. The movement created a barrier to protect both parts of her body, as she was in a crouched position. With another flowing movement of both arms, and raising her body up, Zyuna returned to her “Water” stance. She then practiced getting in and out of this stance, hoping for it to become as simple as breathing. After a few moments, the Hyuuga decided to move on.

Walking into the dojo Natsumi was somewhat nervous. She tried to not let it get to her but that was going to be rather difficult as there was a lot riding on her success. Moving over to the targets she took up a stance and readied herself. She pulled an arrow and released it hitting her target in the face. She was a natural with this as her father had her hunting most of her childhood. Pulling back another arrow she began to wonder how long she could keep this up. She began to launcher arrow after arrow at her target. No longer taking her time as she wanted to see if she could still be accurate while being quick with her attacks. She didn’t even pay attention to the arrows to see if they were hitting next to one another. She simply kept launching them one after another in the direction of the target before her. As she tried to draw another arrow she noticed that she was out of them. Blinking a bit more she became slightly embarrassed as the elder shinobi laughed a bit louder at her. She knew he wasn’t laughing directly at her but rather at her inexperience. Biting her lip she moved over to the target and began to take out each arrow. She nodded to each bit of information he gave her and took it to heart. Letting it sink in within her mind to try and develop it to muscle memory as she went too and from the stance. Every once in a while she needed a correction but it never discouraged her. If anything it only increased her determination to do great. “Isn’t that the Raikage’s?” He asked of her and she nodded in response. He took it right off his head and gave it to me today. I had just graduated and was trying to get a headband. The elder shinobi smiled at the thought and knew what it meant. The Raikage himself expected great things out of this girl. She took a different stance and looked up at her target. Quickly drawing an arrow and pulling the string. She waited for the apple to fall back down before anything else. Then as it began to fall back down she unleashed her arrow. Hitting her target with relative ease. {1/1 Stance of Drawing}
The elder caught the apple by the arrow and chuckled a bit. Taking out the arrow and tossing it back to her. Barely allowing her time to catch it as she was instructed to do a draw with her bow. Pulling back an arrow into a full draw she felt chakra surge in her back. Allowing her to pull back a bit more before releasing the arrow at a target. {1/1 Full Draw}
She then pulled another arrow from her quiver as she was about to use another technique. Focusing her chakra within the tip she knew this would be somewhat helpful. Upon firing her arrow something unique happened that got her to giggle a bit. A bright light lit up the dojo as it hit its target. The elder smirked a bit as she was doing good so far. {1/1 Tracer}
It wasn’t long before the elder rushed her attacking her. Her eyes went wide as she wasn’t ready for it and was quickly struck in the face. Falling to the ground she scrambled back up to her feet as she dropped an arrow. Her heart was racing as the elder was upon her once more. She continued to move out of striking range of the man. Knowing that he was pushing her as she had to realize that she would end up in this situation eventually. Her heart continued to soar as she began to think of a plan. She didn’t know what to do as he was relentless with his pursuit of her. Then something clicked within her mind. {2/3 Quick Knock}
She was going to have to attack him right back. To get some distance between the two of them so that she could continue on. She fully believed that if anything she was going to end up in the hospital if she didn’t do something about this. Yet would she put him in the hospital by firing an arrow at him? Focusing chakra within her arms she knocked an arrow in the blink of an eye and pointed it at the man. {3/3 Quick Knock}
The man smiled at her as he began to run around the dojo. Not giving her the capability of hitting him at all. Biting her lip she began to think of her way out of this. Waiting for him to slow down in the slightest. Yet he showed no signs of doing so. {1/3 Hawk’s Eye}
He had to be a taijutsu specialist with how much endurance he had. Something that was quickly discouraging the little Natsu during her training. But then something roared up within her as her mind began to fire off like a cannon. Dozens of thoughts of how to count this man came to her. Then one in particular came to her aid. {2/3 Hawk’s Eye}
She began to focus chakra within her eyes knowing what to do at this point. This technique would make sure that she hit him unless he got out of her range. Which with how he was moving wasn’t on the table. Taking in a deep breath she managed to use the technique. Causing chakra to glow within her eyes. {3/3 Hawk’s Eye}
Launching her arrow at the elder she nailed him in the chest. Very briefly she was worried she’d really harm him until she saw the arrow break. Which meant he was wearing armor under his top. Of course he would be as he was a warrior mad to engage the enemy. A sign of worry appeared upon Natsu’s face as she began to plan again. {1/3 Arrow Creation}
She focused upon her chakra as she held her bow out ready to strike the elder. He continued to hold his distance knowing that she could easily catch him. Her eyes moving with every slight movement that he produced. She wasn’t about to give up and let him win. She had to learn this style so that she could continue on and be useful to the village. {2/3 Arrow Creation}
She focused on her chakra more and more until she drew the bow string back. The elder stopped to laugh at her as she had no arrow upon the string. But this is where he’d pay for underestimating her. Her eyes narrowed as she concentrated a bit more upon her chakra. Focusing specifically upon where the arrow was supposed to be. {3/3 Arrow Creation.}
Within the blink of an eye an arrow was created upon her bow string. His eyes widened a bit understanding now the style she was learning. He quickly went back on the defensive running around as he didn’t dare get within point blank range of her. He knew he could do it but there’d be a strong chance she’d nail him again. His armor was resistant but not the best. {1/4 Skill: Multitasking}
She unleashed the ninjutsu arrow at him and he was barely able to dodge it while using a substitution jutsu. She gritted her teeth as she knew how to do this. She knew that she could beat him but she’d have to keep him on his toes. So she created arrow after arrow and kept launching them at him. Keeping him at a distance she began to think of what to do. She began to think like a shinobi would. Determining that this was her fight and she controlled how it went. She began to guide him in their dance as she launched arrow after arrow. Steeling herself she began to adapt to her enemy’s fighting style. {3/4 Skill: Multitasking}
She continued with her assault eventually drawing multiple arrows and letting them fly. Each of them hitting their mark forcing the elder to dance still. He seemed to become disgruntled as he grew tired. Her eyes narrowed as she didn’t care. This was him testing her needing to get her to understand what it meant to be a shinobi. {4/4 Skill: Multitasking}
She drew two more arrows and drew them back aiming at the man. He stopped and wiped his brow briefly. Laughing a bit as he seemed to be enjoying himself in an odd manner once more. Some kind of sick and twisted version of a game perhaps? Was he doing this to merely challenge himself? {1/3 Two Shot Spread}
He stood still watching her every movement. She in turn readied herself to use this technique. This was something she had to learn. She would become useful to Shiro if it was the last thing she did. Sighing a bit and letting out a smooth breath. {2/3 Two Shot Spread}
As he dashed forward towards her she made a movement that had him hesitate. He jumped away from her as if she was the devil. Ready to claim his soul as she held the arrows drawn back with great strength. Gritting her teeth she readied herself just in case he tried something. She began to think of how to learn the next technique as she was testing the waters with her opponent. His determination was noted but she knew he was determined to teach her not to kill her. No matter how real this training got she knew it was just that. Training. Licking her lips she continued to plan ahead of time against this man. {1/4 Wailing Spectre}
It didn’t take long for her to know what to do next. Letting out a slow deliberate breath she baited the elder to attack her. Something he eagerly obliged her with as she planned this. She aimed at two different points. One point directly in front of him. With the other point being behind him anticipating what he’d do. {2/4 Wailing Spectre}
When he rushed towards her she finally launched the two arrows at the man. One moving behind him and the other in front. He made a few hand signs before one of the arrows hit and substituted himself once more. She was quickly learning his tell in this combat. Focusing upon her chakra she drew another arrow. Taking her time deliberately to unleash it upon her enemy. She was baiting him in yet again so she could make him pay. Her eyes upon the man she poured chakra into the arrow tip. Knowing exactly what she was about to do. {4/4 Wailing Spectre}
Continuing his cautious style he tested the waters with her. Getting close only to retreat to see what she’d do. She knew this as well and was testing him as well. Her analytical mind soaring as she counted the possibilities. Anything that he might do on top of what he could do. There was no longer fear within her eyes and that’s exactly what the elder was trying to accomplish with her. {1/3 Crouching Stance}
She continued to bait the man to attack her. Knowing what she’d have to do to combat him. She believed that she could fend him off at this current moment. Just knowing she had a chance against this man made her heart soar. The only thing that spread any kind of doubt was the fact he was toying with her. {2/3 Crouching Stance}
The elder then rushed her causing her to growl with determination. She did something unexpected with him as she took a crouched stance with her bow. Pointing it directly into the air as she let loose the arrow. The arrow took off as her aim was true and soared through the air. Screaming a deafening pitch for all to hear in the area. {3/3 Crouching Stance}
As he covered his ears and hunched down she knew what to do. She launched two chakra arrows at the man rapidly. She knew he could take the hits without being injured. After all the man was trying to make this as real as possible for her. Something she would appreciate down the road. {1/4 Distance Creation}
She began to focus chakra into her legs as soon as she saw the arrows bounce off of him once more. Knowing that he was going to be furious at her. He was probably going to give her everything he had. Gritting her teeth she focused more and more chakra within her legs. The sense of urgency was real in this situation. {2/4 Distance Creation}
Letting out a smooth breath she saw him begin to charge her and and she activated her hawk eyes once more. Firing an arrow directly in front of him causing him to jump back. She began to fire arrow after arrow at the man keeping him on his toes. Making him dance once more until she reached to her quiver and felt no more arrows. This was when he rushed forth towards her causing her to howl with rage. {3/4 Distance Creation}
“Give it everything you got kid!” He shouted as he rushed her throwing one final round house kick at her. The devastating force of it would surely knock her out should it connect. Yet as she would have been hit she merely disappeared from sight. “What the…” He began to say until he looked in the distance to see her trying to catch her breath laughing at what just happened. {4/4 Distance Creation}
The man smiled as he walked over to her and patted her shoulder. “Take the rest of the day off from learning Bukijutsu. You’ve done a grand job today kid.” He said before walking away and letting her leave.
Entering the academy for her jutsu training a sensei pointed her over to her own section. She bit her lip and nodded to the man as he had taught her in the past. Something she recalled quite well as he beat her a** constantly. Sheepishly she walked past him worried he’d beat her a** there and then. Slowly working on her hand signs she mended them to her memory. With an understanding that her old mentor might come to shove his boot up her a** should she fail. He was always so brutal with his training with her. She quickly pushed the thought aside as she had a mission to accomplish. Her former sensei moved over to her looking down at her and giving her a glaring look. Her eyes widened a bit as he opened his mouth to speak to her. “Learn the sensory jutsu. Become a demon of the night and your use will have no limits.” He finished and walked off. She was puzzled by what he had said and told her to become. {½ Ryouken (Hunting Dog)}
Carving a rune into the ground, something that would mean something to her, she walked away from it. Closing her eyes and spinning a bit. Losing her sense of direction as she needed to do just that. Sighing she could sense the direction that the rune was upon the ground. She walked around a bit and discovered as she moved her sense of direction stayed on it. This was going to be a very useful jutsu in the future. Licking her lips she sighed softly and opened her eyes. Thinking of the next jutsu that she was going to need to use. {½ Mitsugo Heki (Whispering Walls)}
She quickly came to a conclusion and focused her chakra before anything else. Then gently using her hand signs she slowly went over them. Devoting them to her memory as she was going to have to do with many techniques. A bead of sweat ran down the side of her face as she used this jutsu. Placing her hand upon the wall she looked to find out if the fruits of her labor were ripe. {2/2 Mitsugo Heki (Whispering Walls)}
She got a mental picture of the room she was in and could pinpoint everyone within it. She could tell who had what bloodline and how strong they really were. She was smiling as she was doing so good currently. Releasing her hand she took in a deep breathe and removed her head band. Walking over to the door she began to think of how useful this next technique was. Licking her lips she focused upon her chakra once more within the area. Making hand signs she focused upon her power. Placing her hand upon the doorknob to the academy she focused more. When she walked away from the door she waited for people to leave. Closing her eyes she focused upon the jutsu and as everyone left she could tell the fine details about them. It was exactly what she needed at the current moment. Something that she thought for sure was going to make her former sensei proud. She began to think of what would be useful next. What would be pivotal for someone like her to learn this early in her career? What would keep her alive and her comrades alive too? She continued to think on this subject as it was perplexing her. This is one of the few things that her former sensei liked about her. Even as she was pondering what to do next her body would instinctually already begin to act. It was more of a process that her mind was slower than her body. Or her former sensei would jest about it in the past. She sneezed rather loudly disrupting her chakra flow and was quickly followed by someone blessing her. {3/4 Kagura Shingan (Kagura Mind’s Eye)}
Blushing a bit she went back to her hand signs. Roaming through them repeatedly as if to beat them within her mind. Repetition makes people memorize things a lot easier than instructions ever would. Her breathing quickened as she was becoming slightly tired. She stood perfectly still and was able to determine the location of everyone within the area. Her jutsu moving even beyond the walls as she took note of everyone. The jutsus they were prepping, their bloodlines, even how strong they were. Even her sensei was able to be detected by her at the moment. She could tell he was moving over to her as well and she continued to concentrate. {1/4 Kagura no Ishi (Will of Kagura)}
She eventually opened her eyes and wondered if she could move with this jutsu. Taking a step forward she noted how quickly the sense left her. This was perplexing to her as she needed this technique to truly be efficient. She wasn’t about to let her former sensei down or even the Raikage for that matter. It meant a lot to her that he handed her his very own headband. {2/4 Kagura no Ishi (Will of Kagura)}
Another bead of sweat ran down the side of her face as she was trying to do something unique. Applying more of her chakra to the technique that was used before she was searching for a different result. Something that others might have thought insane. Yet they would never understand someone such as Natsu as she was a stubborn one. Something that she would quickly find to be a good and bad thing. {3/4 Kagura no Ishi (Will of Kagura)}
Building her chakra up even more she gritted her teeth. She was becoming rather tired at this time but she wouldn’t stop. She had to keep going on and complete this. She was closer to utilizing this special technique and she knew it. Taking a few steps she could still maintain the kagura mind’s eye technique. Closing her eyes she began to move around the area. Still able to sense everyone within the room. She looked to the ceiling and knew that it was going to be a problem. She had to find a way to use this jutsu in doors and it was going to bug her. As this was a jutsu that she was going to need down the road. Something that could save her life and the lives of her comrades. “What are you attempting?” Her former sensei came over to ask her. She answered him quickly and continued trying her hand signs. Her sensei kept his eyes upon her as he debated something. “I’ll get it.” She said and he chuckled a bit as he believed her. Her former sensei blew a hole in the ceiling allowing for her to use her jutsu. “Thank you” She said as she continued her hand signs. Focusing on her chakra she was able to push through and use the jutsu. Using the clouds in the air she unleashed her potential with this jutsu. It didn’t take long for it to start raining in the area before she stopped and smiled at her progress. {4/4 Ukojizai no Jutsu (Fierce Raining Will)}
She wiped her brow as sweat was rolling down her face again. She was pushing herself harder than she ever had done before. Sneezing briefly she felt the rain touch her face and took note of everyone the rain touched. Smiling briefly as her use would know no bounds. Looking to her sensei he gave her an evil look. “Don’t you dare.” He said to her as she was using hand signs. Her look told him everything he needed to know about what she was going to do. Rushing over to her he aimed for a straight punch to her face. Just as she finished the hand signs she applied her chakra to use the techhnique. {2/2 Kanashibari no Jutsu (Temporary Body Paralysis Technique)}
His fist stopped right in front of her face and she gave him an ear to ear grin. But she knew at this point that she was in for some trouble. He was probably going to beat the hell out of her. He began to focus on his chakra to break out of the paralysis she put him in. As he did so Natsu was already using multiple hand signs while focusing on her chakra too. She was going to win this battle for once. She wasn’t going to be stopped by any means! She was finally going to prove to her former sensei that she had what it took to be a shinobi! {2/2 Oboro Bunshin no Jutsu (Haze Clone Technique)}
When he broke free he would be greeted with the production of hundreds of clones that looked just like her. Looking back and forth he was unable to tell which one was the real one. Swinging and kicking at them he would find it useless as she had used another technique as well. He had a good idea of what technique she used but didn’t know how to combat it. After all he was a taijutsu specialist rather than a sensor like her. {1/1 Bikou Ninjutsu (Shadowing Stealth Technique)}
He looked around for a few minutes trying to pinpoint any one of them that was acting odd. After all they were walking around in circles like nothing was wrong. Each one of them just as convincing as the last. His eyes narrowed as he was going to have to change his tactics against her. As she made a valiant attempt against her former sensei she forgot one thing. He was a lot stronger and a lot more experienced. Noticing a single difference in one of the Natsu’s clones and knew it was the real one. He charged forth and Natsu knew the jig was up. She shot through hand signs and used yet another jutsu. {2/2 Karasu Bunshin no Jutsu (Crow Clone Jutsu)}
As the clone was produced before him and took the hit the clone burst into dozens of crows. Cawing and dispersing through the area distracting him. Looking directly into her former sensei’s eyes she concentrated. He stared back directly into her eyes not avoiding eye contact as he couldn’t know what she was doing. She began to think of another jutsu that might help her in this situation. It was difficult enough dodging everything he threw at her because she was reading his mind. Something he was obviously not aware of and getting more frustrated with. It would only help her more and more in the end as he was getting even more predictable. Continuing his assault she continued to dodge his punches. With the odd kick here and there thrown into the mix she was making this look easy. Even though she knew he was taking it easy on her. Just as he was about to hit her, her hair expanded to drastic levels covering her body entirely. Wrapping around her like a protective cocoon preventing his taijutsu. Or rather deflecting it away from her. He continued to strike it over and over causing each strike to be deflected. He growled loudly as his confusion turned into rage. This would get worse and worse as she stayed there safely within her hair. Gritting her teeth she practiced her next set of hand signs with the understanding she’d need to get out of this eventually. The hair finally became spiked causing the man to harm his hand. Cutting it open and causing him to move back holding his hand. Growling loudly in pain in frustration he cursed and his voice carried through the entire area. He looked back to the lump of spiked hair and tore off after it. With one final strike against the jutsu he managed to tear through it. Her eyes widened as he looked like the devil himself. She shot through hand signs ready to use another jutsu. Her hair shot off towards him in order to subdue him. Quickly tightening around him and holding him in place she stared up at him. Her eyes wide as her heart was racing. Her determination began to fire up even more as she had him where she wanted. Focusing on the chakra within her mouth she began to set forth in the use of another jutsu. Eventually she used the jutsu spitting a few needles out of her mouth and towards her former sensei’s face. As the needles sunk into his flesh he howled with even more rage. Eventually overpowering her hair and breaking through the jutsu. Getting onto her feet she quickly began to evade his attacks once more. Quickly tossing up multiple senbon into the air they delved into the ground quickly moving and awaiting to strike. They would only move on her command and they would be a vicious strike against such a foe. Even the most trained of shinobi couldn’t dodge this technique in time. Her former sensei charged at her once more allowing her to unleash her jutsu. The senbon shot through the ground through his right foot causing him to shout in pain. He was growling and grunting in pain as he pulled them out. He gave her a devilish look and limped away obviously wanting nothing more to do with her. Biting her lip she slowly practiced hand signs again. Entirely relieved she could take her time with everything at this point. After all she had to think on the spot for a lot of that fight. Taking into account of this new jutsu she managed to see everything around her. Every single area where there was water droplets she could see around it. She began to think of another hair jutsu that would be beneficial for her. Rapidly moving through the hand signs she dedicated them to her memory. As if they were life itself to her very own soul. Letting out a deep breath she practiced her hand signs slowly. Dedicating them to memory continuously. Never ceasing for others that were watching her movements. She then knew she had to use another jutsu in conjunction with this one. Growing out her hair once more it surrounded her body. Forming a dark brown haired cocoon that protected her. Making sure no one was in the immediate area she readied herself to use the jutsu. Closing her eyes she focused even more on what could happen. Then aiming at the targets she shot dozens of hair needles at the targets. Her hair went back down to normal as she looked over the targets. Knowing that realistically that the targets would be dead. Looking to one of the targets she took a deep breath. Letting it out slowly she began building her chakra once more. Feeling the odd sensation within her mouth again. As she used the jutsu the odd sensation increased. She could feel an odd bulge within her throat as she spat it out quickly. She watched as the ball hit the target and wrapped around it almost violently. She was startled by the effectiveness of it all. Moving the chakra through her body she bit her lip. The sensation built up within her throat again and this time it didn’t bother her. Feeling it build up within her throat again she controlled it. Keeping it there as she needed to learn how to use it quickly. Aiming at the target she decided to let the jutsu loose. Staring it down as if it were her worst enemy. Until she sneezed causing the webbing to dissolve. When the webbing hit the target she noticed it maintained its form. Jerking her head to the left the webbing tore the dummy from the ground and slammed it into a wall. She noticed that the webbing was still there until she ended it. Such an odd yet useful jutsu that she could decimate an opponent with. Controlling the webbing within her mouth again a new sensation was added with it. This time it felt like some kind of liquid was mixed with the webbing. She briefly licked the roof of her mouth as it was getting dry. She was going to have to take a break soon. Due to the fact that she was having a terrible case of cotton mouth. Licking her lips she stared at the targets as she scratched the back of her head. Not knowing entirely what she was doing she just went for it. Mostly because that the scroll didn’t make sense how this would work. Focusing on her chakra she built up the new webbing quickly again. Producing many senban made from a powerful metal she threw them one at a time. At different targets that would get her thinking. That jutsu for her would be a very versatile one. Reading it over and over she found that this jutsu could be a hidden gem. Smiling she found herself happy once more… as if she hadn’t been happy this entire time. Slowly realizing that she was being a jackass with her ear to ear grin. Practically dancing as she moved she went back over to the targets. Firing a web at one of the targets she smiled as she watched the target slam into a wall. Once more she was dancing to her success. She was doing such a great job as of today. Focusing upon the webbing within her throat something felt off. She stopped immediately and her hand went to her throat. It freaked her out a bit because it felt more odd than both the webbing and metal she could produce. As if any of these jutsu were considered normal anyways. Forming it into a ball she shot it at the targets and noticed something. She never anticipated the size of the web as it consumed all the targets and pinned them to the wall. She knew this jutsu was going to be the most difficult. As the fact of the matter is it required all of her pores and saliva to be used. Making his way into the building Shiro absently waved off the "lord, Raikage," greetings he got. He wasn't used to the title nor did he like it. Kaileer did a good job as kage but, Shiro did not know the man to spend time outside the office. It isolated him. That was something that he did not want to allow. He wanted to be one with the people he lead. To fight and bleed with them, not send them out alone. Though seeing Natsumi he smiled a bit, the girls timid nature was second only to her potential. The young girl reminded him quite a bit of his early self and his upbringing within the order back in Shion. Minus the killer intent and such.
Crossing the distance to the young woman he gave her a polite wave,"Can you walk and talk Ao?" Making his way through the building, assuming she followed he would begin,"So I see you started archery training. I was one myself, an archer that is." Pulling a smoke free from his coat pocket he flicked it alight, blowing the smoke upwards and away from them. "Well before my bow and wrist broke that is."
Reaching the outside of the building and into the open air area he took his place on the far side of the clearing. Taking a deep breath he began circulating his chakra through, within, and around his body. As he did so his jacket lifted up a bit and his hair was pushed upwards. After a second he took a quick and sharp breath in, and his chakra exploded to life. All around his body sparks of ruby lightning poured from each inch of his body only to leap outwards and rejoin his body elsewhere. The Kaiser armor felt great, like a billion cups of coffee all at once. Giving the girl a wink he smiled,"Shoot me with an arrow."

"Ao?" Was the first thing she inquired about as that wasn't her name. But it didn't take long for her mind to understand he gave her a nickname due to her eyes and flower in her hair. She swallowed a bit of saliva in her mouth as she grew nervous. The man who led the village not only gave her a head band but a nickname as well. She hadn't a clue what it meant but knew there were a lot of implications behind it. She bowed to him respectfully and followed him like a lost puppy. Listening to how he used to be an archer in his past which intrigued her. Did this mean he was going to give her a few pointers?
She followed him outside and stopped when he motioned her to stay. She could see his chakra visually building around him and she was in awe. Fidgeting with her hands in front of her belly as she bit her lip she had no clue what this was about. Then his chakra quickly evolved to electricity violently flowing around his body. She recalled reading a style similar to this in the academy. It was said that it increased the users speed, strength, and even stamina to unnatural levels. It didn't take long for her to realize that what the Raikage was using was one and the same. But why was he showing her this? She couldn't learn something like that as she was an archer and sensor.
She blushed slightly as he winked at her and steeled herself as he ordered her to shoot him with an arrow. Her eyes began to glow bright with chakra turning them into an almost neon blue color. Acting without hesitation and as if she had done this a million times she moved to do as he said. Using another technique she pulled chakra to her arms to nock her arrow in the blink of an eye she let it loose without hesitation aiming for his chest. She readied herself to bail out of there if needed as she knew it wasn't going to be that simple. Charging chakra into her bow she readied herself for what he might throw at her.

She followed orders without hesitation, noted, though he wished she would have at least shown a bit when it came to this particular one. Though in that moment his eyes traced each and every single inch of her body as she drew her arrow. It wasn't that her form was wrong but that it wasn't fluid or efficient. He knew that in a long firefight her current form would tire her arms quickly.
He would help her with that, but for now, arrow. Twisting his hips he brought his palm upwards at the same time while allowing the armor to take the brunt of the impact. Batting the arrow aside he smiled approvingly of its force. Taking a deep breath his chakra armor faded into nothingness. Crossing the distance he nodded,"Your form is decent but inefficient. She then saw the armor took the brunt of the arrow as he deflected it. As he didn't charge her she knew it was over. She waited to see if she disappointed him or not. Her bright blue eyes looking at him as he let his technique down. Her eyes never leaving him as he approached her in this moment. Her tongue licking her lips to keep them from drying when he spoke. She looked to the ground for a moment as she took in his words. Curious why he was taking such an interest in her.
"Okay." She spoke as she held her bow in her right hand and drew another arrow. Nocking it and preparing herself for his instructions. Hoping that she wouldn't screw them up as she wasn't the greatest at taking instructions. It was a difficult thing as she had her own way of doing things. Rarely listening to others as there was always the possibility that they were leading her astray.
She could be useful that was for sure. Letting out a sigh he crossed the distance and stood behind her. Without a word he reached around her from behind and placed his hands on hers. Using his knees to shift her legs he began,"When you draw, step into it with your secondary leg." Lifting her bow he continued,"Inhale sharply and draw quickly. Draw it from the ground up to your ready point. This way you use every muscle in your body to draw the bow, and not just your upper body." Stepping back from her he nodded,"Alright. Try it like that and see how it goes for you."

When he got behind her he didn't hesitate wrapping his body around hers. Her face practically turning beat red as she wasn't ready for this. She hadn't expected it at all as he began to instruct her on what to correct. Following his movements she did as he instructed her to do. Eventually her face went back to normal but she could still feel the heat within her cheeks. Why was he taking such interest in her? She couldn't figure it out. Eventually she launched an arrow as he had instructed her stance and body form.
Now that her form was corrected she fired with the grace an archer deserved to flaunt. Smirking a bit he gave her a quick nod,"Good work." Waving for her to follow again he took a seat up against a tree with a sigh. Taking a nice deep drag of his smoke he exhaled it through his nose as he began,"Take a seat, please." Once she had he would continue,"I am sure your curious as to why I am helping you directly. Well its two fold, first because you remind me of who I was once, long ago. Second because I need to be able to count on you. Your skill set marks you as someone of great value to both myself directly and the village indirectly. In a year or so's time you might even be able to qualify to join the anbu or oinin hunter corps." Taking another drag he held it in his lungs for a time before slowly exhaling as he continued,"Of course you have a choice in this, I will never demand anything of any of my shinobi. I will never demand that they place themselves in jeopardy. But I will ask that they do their duty. For what it worth, I hate that term. Its just an excuse to send young men and women to their deaths."

She stood as she had too much energy to sit down. But she moved next to him and listened to his every word. Then she spoke after he finished as there was a bit that she needed to say on this matter. "Hotaru, whether or not you demand shinobi be placed in jeopardy it'll happen regardless. After all we sign up knowing that most likely we will die in some form of combat or espionage. As for duty its not only or job as a shinobi to put our lives on the line but our responsibility. I know that one day I'm going to die in combat. I'm okay with that because I know I'll be defending what matters most to me. Fighting for them every step of the way until I draw my last breath." She spoke confidently as she looked to Shiro hoping he was looking back to her. "After all, The beginning and the end are always the same. What truly matters is the journey along the way. Whether we decide to live our lives safely like a coward or live each day as if it could be our last... that's the only choice that truly matters when it comes to duty."
Closing his eyes for a moment he listened to the young woman's words. She had a point to which he smirked a bit as he drew another drag in. Here he was getting council from a new Gennin. The irony of it was not lost on him. Letting out a sigh he nodded,"I understand that, trust me I do. That way of life is something we all have to accept sooner or later. Its what makes this life so glamorous from the outside. But that being said, I would not be a very good leader If I did not at least, try, to protect you all. Just as you have a responsibility to fight, I have a responsibility to ensure those fights are as tilted in your favor as possible." Now that she had the shadow clone jutsu in her arsenal, Shion was ready for the ultimate method of training. The scroll containing the shadow clone jutsu had a detailed analysis of what the jutsu could do, and one that stuck out to her was information retrieval. The clones, when dispersed, transfer all gained knowledge to the original, so all she had to do was make a bunch of clones and have everyone train in one separate jutsu. She'd get weeks of training done in maybe a few hours; the perfect amount of time to meet up with Shiro at the Blue Dragon. "Alright, let's do this..." she muttered to herself. As she did, Shion cracked her knuckles and formed the necessary hand seals to perform the shadow clone jutsu. Chakra coursed through her body, separating into as many individual pools as her newbie abilities would allow. As it turns out, that was actually quite a few, as several clones took shape around her. The sheer exertion of the jutsu caused Shion to stagger where she stood for a brief moment, but she quickly steadied out. Looking to her many copies, Shion barked an order. Alright everyone, pick a technique and get to it!" Without a moment to spare, the many Shions began riffling through old scrolls and working out the jutsu.
Training - The Katon Chronicles
Shoumeidan no Jutsu [ Flare Technique ] Shion's first clone decided to tackle the basics of fire jutsu. She unrolled the scroll and quickly read over the academy level jutsu. First up was the flare technique. It seemed pretty simple based off the description. Shion's clone did a few quick hand signs, focused the katon chakra within her into a ball, and let loose a quick belch of flame. [1/1]
Fukumen no Jutsu [ Veil Technique ] Done and done. One down, one to go. Sure, there were other jutsu to learn at this level, but there were really only two that seemed to have any practical use. Next up was the Veil technique. Shion's clone focused the same chakra from the previous jutsu, but this time it was to her hands. The clone took in a deep breath, then suddenly slapped her hands together, creating a bright flash of light. [1/1]
Yojin Bunshin no Jutsu [ Ember Clone Technique ] While the first clone tackled the basics, the second clone decided to tackle the basic genin level jutsu. The first one that really stood out to her was the Ember Clone technique. Shion's clone read over the instructions and got ready to perform the technique [1/4]
The clone performed a quick succession of hand seals and let the katon chakra that had been building up within them out, creating another clone. [2/4]
Time for the moment of truth. Was the clone sturdy enough? Would it erupt into flames like it should? There was only one way to find out. The ember clone unsheathed a kunai and plunged it straight into her gut. [3/4]
The moment the kunai broke the skin, Shion's ember clone erupted into a gout of flames, sending a wave of flame rushing a few feet outward. [4/4]
Katon: Shunshin no Jutsu [ Fire Release: Instant Movement Technique ] The next technique that caught her eye was the flame variant of the body flicker technique. A handy jutsu for any ninja to have. Once again, Shion's clone began to read through the technique description and instructions, getting ready to perform the technique. [1/4]
She began, as she always did, with focusing her chakra. This technique called for rapid movement of the entire body, along with a quick release of fire. knowing the jutsu needed such a wide dispersal of chakra, Shion's clone gave an even flow throughout her body, focusing on mixing in her katon energy. The next step was the create the necessary hand seals and actually attempt it. So, Shion's clone strung together a brief set of seals and began her moving. With almost blinding speed, she went from one end of the room to the other. [3/4]
As she moved, Shion's clone also released the stored up Katon chakra. As a result, the location where she had been was washed in a wave of flames that radiated outwards from her original position. [4/4]
Gōkakyū no Jutsu [ Great Fireball Technique ] Much like the previous selection of jutsus, the genin level techniques didn't really have much to offer for what Shion wanted to do. The C-ranked jutsu however, held many great offensive techniques. The first her clone decided to read up on was the Fireball Jutsu. The description was pretty simple. Short, sweet, and simple fireball. [1/5]
The clone focusing on this level of jutsu began to prep with some simple breathing exercises, taking in deep breaths and slowly exhaling. With each breath, Shion's clone began to hasten her breathing pace as to mimic the sudden exhale described by the scroll. [2/5]
Next, she focused on her katon chakra, pouring it into her lungs. The more she focused, the more her chakra flowed, mixing with the air in her lungs forming a sea of katon energy. [3/5]
The next step was incredibly simple, but arguably the most important. Once her chakra was sufficiently mixed, she released the mixture into a quick outward breath, sparking the mixture as she did. [4/5]
The massive ball of energy rushed passed her lips and shot out several feet in front of her. The room was filled with a bright light and almost unbearable wave of heat as the great fireball roared to life. [5/5]
The Formless D-ranked Soft Physical thingy
As the small group of clones worked on their fire techniques, a single clone began to work on limbering up her body. It was clearly obvious that Shion was a fairly small person and, seeing as she was a hand to hand specialist, should probably do her best to be able to dodge oncoming attacks. [1/4]
The first step to any physical activity was stretching. You always want to be as limber as possible so you dont pull a muscle. She began by reaching down to touch her toes, then spreading her legs and leaning over to touch each one individually. Shion's clone spent a few more minutes stretching, then got ready for her next step. [2/4]
Speed was going to be a major factor in any of the moves she planned on doing. Now that she was all limbered up, Shion's clone began to run laps around the dojo. With each lap, she pushed herself harder and harder to decrease the time between laps. [3/4]
Shion spent several minutes sprinting around the gym. However, running is not all she did. Movement was one thing, but if she couldn't land a blow while running, what use was she? After about 10 laps around the dojo, Shion began to throw a shurikan at one of the many dummies in the dojo on each lap. Lap after lap, throw after throw, each hit grew closer and closer to the target before she finally hit the bullseye! [4/4]
The other Hard Physical formless thing that's D-rank
While one clone focused on speed and dodging, another decided to shift her studies to basic attacking technique. The clone made it's way over to a training dummy and got ready to begin her assault. [1/4]
Shion's clone began to deliver a rapid series of punches to the core of the training dummy. Each strike harder than the last. One, two, one, two... extending strikes and then withdrawing then extending again. Shion's clone repeated this until her fists began to ache and a noticable dent began to form in the dummy. [2/4]
Shion's clone stopped punching, then began to lash out with her legs. She began with a series of short upward kicks, slamming her foot into the core of the dummy. After a few reps, she switched to a fully extended kick, slamming her shin into the side of the clone. [3/4]
Once she got the basic form down, Shion's clone began to switch up between kicks and punches, lashing out in a random flurry of blows. She continued relentlessly, smashing into the clone and lightly splintering the wood and only stopped once she heard a loud cracking sound from the dummy, signalling that it was probably time to stop. [4/4]
A Taijutsu Style that I chose called Xinyi Liuhe Quan [-2 for monk spec, -1 for dojo, -1 for formless]
While all that other training went on, the real Shion and a clone looked over the scroll containing each technique and how to go about it. After about half an hour of reading later, both Shion and her clone got into position to test them out.
Shishi Ashi [ Lion Paw ] Shion took the first move and closed the gap, lashing out with a half exposed palm in a diagonal slash. [1/1]
Tora no Kobushi [ Tiger Fists ] Shion's clone blocked the strike with a downward smack of the hand, then returned the assault. This time, Shion's clone lashed out with two rapid strikes at Shion's core. [1/1]
Ryū Kiba [ Dragon Fang ] Shion swooped down low to block the oncoming assault, ducking just under the two striking fists. Carrying her momentum upward, shion launched a sharp uppercut at the Clone's jaw. [1/1]
Gurīndesutinī [ Crouching Tiger ] Shion's uppercut was cut short as Shion's clone swept out with one foot, spiraling on the heel of her other, knocking the original off her balance and halting the attack. Shion was instead sent sprawling to the floor, tumbling away from the clone. [1/1]
Gaō Tetsushi [ Roaring Iron Finger ] Shion quickly recovered, taking a wide footed stance. She didn't close the gap again, instead, she opted to let the clone make the next move. Just as expected, Shion's clone began a dead sprint at the original, but was sent backwards to the ground as Shion's finger jabbed into her core with one, swift, and powerful strike. [1/1]
Soudou Shō [ Double Pulsating Palms ] Shion gave the clone a smirk as it recovered and took the exact same stance as the original. Shion shook her head and went into a sprint, expecting the same move she had just used. Instead, the clone brought in both hands to it's core, then shot them outwards at Shion the moment she came within range [1/1]
Bibu no Mouko [ Tail of the Fierce Tiger ] The moment Shion's clone shot her hands out, Shion pivoted on her heal to the left and swung behind the clone, lashing out with a swift piercing blow at the core of the clone. [1/1]
Fukumigoe no Sho-ro [ Cry of a Muffled Voice ] As her strike traveled towards it's target, Shion focused chakra into her hands. Once her fingers made contact, she blasted the chakra outwards, blasting the clone away and dispersing it. [1/1]
