"You are not incorrect," Xion agreed with Curry's evaluation of her quite chirpily. She completely embraced her uselessness, it appeared.
That was about when one of the tentacles jabbed Xion in the boob. Mildly surprised, she stepped back and tried to decipher the curiosity of the three distinct items held out to her. What had he said they were? Tentacles? If she remembered correctly, she had sort of felt like she had tentacles when in this one's body?... Without explanation, Xion's hands formed a few basic hand signs to activate the echo technique in her immediate vicinity. The slap of her hands as she formed the last sign served as the sound needed to catalyze the technique, and her brain received a far more detailed look at the situation before her. Curry's chakra had some sort of unknown abnormality, one that she attributed to his bloodline and what he had extended to her were, in fact, tentacles of the sort she would dip into batter and put into a fryer for delicious tempura. "My," Xion asked as she poked a tentacle, "Are these really tentacles? And they're connected to your body? If you could regrow these, then it's possible you won't have to worry about food at all." From tentative poke, her hand wrapped firmly around one tentacle, squeezing it to check how it felt. Very nice. Just the right enough of firm and very fresh. It would indeed make some very nice dishes.

Brushing his hair back, Shiro adjusted that bloody cloak on his shoulders so that the fur trim on his jacket would lay on top of it. Giving her a smirk he spoke softly,"Well heres hoping that you get to hear it more often. Though this new position might make that a bit more difficult then I anticipated." Though his words betrayed his feelings it was starting to show. He didn't like this position very much as it was already changing how people saw him. He did not want to be above them, he just wanted to be with them.

The eager and energy in Unki mellowed as Hakanai spoke. Like a calm, cooling breeze that left an almost somber impression Unki hadn’t yet been able to identify. What did he mean by "get past me" and why did he say it so ominously? Was this a test? It had to be. It's just like in the movies; the bad guy has the intrepid hero cornered, mere inches away from their goal, only to be met with a hardy "If you wish to save the day, you'll have to make it past me! NYAHAHAHAHA!" Shion delivered a smirk to the squidman as a tentacle erupted from his back. This was her moment to show what she was made of. Shion rocketed backwards, landing about a meter and a half away and creating a shadow clone as she did. Both Shion and the clone took a moment to examine the area. They were outdoors in a populated area. Hmm, not much to use out here. Slowly but surely, a plan began to click into place. Alright, time to go! With only a few moments between the initial leap back and the clone's creation, Shion's shadow clone raced towards the masked squidman, kunai in hand and ready to strike.

As if acting like allies in attempts to rescue a captured friend in need one of the three tentacles dove down to wrap itself around Xion's ankle and yank in an attempt to trip her flat on her back. Toso himself seemed seemed off in his own world. In truth they were reacting to his attempts of using chakra to manipulate his mind sets. The mind set in question was competitive, unyielding, and aggressive. He seemed to be unawares of his own tentacles behaviors as he was focusing inward on himself and his chakra. Unfortunately for Xion, if the tentacle had successfully caused her to trip the other two would forcefully bind her hands and ankles together while the third would either attempt to break free of her grip or if it was already free rise like a hooded cobra. While it lacked eyes a foreboding aura of some form of revenge seemed to emanate from it. Although she might not have seen it she would feel it, perhaps with the sixth sense many sight impaired individuals have for picking up danger. ~~Meanwhile~~ The Toso clone looked straight ahead, at the charging Shion clone. Perhaps to the real one's surprise a watery popping noise like someone had just squished a bag of jelly. If tried to be put into words it would have sounded like a *sppplrk* This sound happened not once but twice and incredibly fast. The squidman had three tentacles now which each emerged in a splurt of ink. "You're real self having you charge in like your expendable and you're just going to let her do it bloop?" The Toso clone saying this as a form of mind game to manipulate Shion's shadow clone. Speaking from a clone on clone perspective if the real Shion would feel insulted by someone treating her as expendable the clone would likely as well. After all, they did say some relationships with a shadow clone are not unlike real relationships. If she planned to switch places with it would it want to? Would it turn on its owner like Toso's clone intended it to? Or perhaps Shion's bond with her clone was more than any old words from another clone could sway? Who could say?
However, his words did not come without tactfulness. Already one of the tentacles was heading towards the Shion clone to ensnare it while the other two were heading towards the real one to do the same. A meter was nothing to the tentacles which could extend up to ten. While a solid clone it wasn't designed for combat but if the girl could not overcome something as simple as a sumi bunshin she would be a worrisome ally to have. Xion was flipped and bound quite easily. She hadn't been expecting such a reaction. In fact, she hadn't been expecting any reaction so it wasn't like she could have dodged. Rather matter-of-factly, Xion mentioned the obvious, "Curry, I will like to point out that I cannot use hand signs like this." She rather ineffectively wriggled to let Curry know that he should free her.
She could feel a rather threatening presence in front of her, as well. "Also, I believe there is a cobra in front of my face," Xion let Curry know so that he could quickly resolve the situation because she certainly was in no position to.
Carefully watching her opponent was looking like it was going to pay off in full. The moment Toso made his move against Shion's clone, The pair sprung their plan into action. Shion threw up a quick succession of hand seals and created yet another clone. Though with the immediate threat of incoming tentacles, this was all she was able to do before managing a quick and limber dodge of the tentacles initial jab at her. While this was all happening, Shion's Shadow Clone laughed as Toso's tentacle wrapped her in its embrace. "She knows full well I'm not expendable. That ditz put too much chakra into me" as she finished her remark, the shadow clone would poof into a cloud of smoke, being replaced with the new clone, and appearing next to the original Shion. "I, on the other hand, was made to be expendable!" the new clone would say as it buckled under the pressure of the grapple. Having given way to the massive crushing power, the ember clone would erupt into a ball of flames, threatening anyone nearby with some pretty nasty, albeit non-life threatening, burns. Shion knew this attack would probably be an easy dodge, but maybe it would serve as a suitable distraction for her and her clone to make a break for it... or at the very least avoid getting bible blacked by their opponent...

However, the menacing aura that the tentacle once had shifted into something different. Maybe one could call it...playful? Xion would probably feel something on her person slithering upward, and then...well it would begin targeting typical ticklish areas. The sides, the underarms, whether or not Xion was the ticklish type would be discovered here in. If she wasn't well then the tentacle would try in vain to get a laugh out of her. __ Ada felt herself be thrown back quite a ways after Selina's vibrant, flowery display of some kind of ninjutsu. Thinking back, she did recall plants being used in their last arrest. She'd pry herself from that fresh memory to perform an elegantly concise back flip in order to land where she'd been tossed away to. The proposition to spar after a show like that was hard to pass up. Ada could already feel her blood starting to pump but a messenger hawk flew into the building through an open window and immediately sought her out. She held her hand up to Selina as a gesture to wait for a moment after the bird landed on her shoulder. Ada took the message tucked away in a tube tied to the hawk's leg and it flew away before she even began reading. The message entailed a passed on invitation to visit a specialized shop in the city of Takumi. 'The Rio's doing, no doubt.' Well, it was an opportunity nonetheless. She rolled the small bit of parchment up and tucked it away for now. "Sorry partner. Looks like we'll have to postpone that spar a little longer. I'll catch up with you as soon as I finish some personal business." Ada bowed politely to excuse herself then walked away.

The fight, if you could even call it a fight, was over in a matter of moments and Shion stood as the winner, if you could even call that a win. Shion took a moment; in fact, she took several. Her clone dispersed to leave her alone with her thoughts while she searched for her new team leader. She'd be lying if she had said the thought wasn't troubling her, and I do think you could call it troubling. Thankfully, her thoughts wouldn't be troubling her for much longer... at least, not the ones focused on the fight, if you could even call that a fight. No, now a new set of troubles would take the forefront. On one hand, she had found Toso. On the other, he seemed to be assaulting another younger girl, and I do think you could call it assaulting. Shion approached the writhing mass of tentacles and people and cleared her throat. "Um, your clone sent me..." She said, tone laced with uncertainty. Yes... you could definitely call it uncertainty.
There was no response and while Xion awaited that response, Curry's tentacles had begun making their move. While they retained their vice-like, to the weak maid, grip upon Xion's body, they also moved to the generically sensitive spots, like the bottom of the feet, the palms of the hands, the knees, the armpits, and the sides of the waist. Feather-light touches teased the skin and very quickly Xion became uncomfortable. "Stop that," she tried to tell Curry to "stop that, young man," but her words were interrupted by her own lips, sealing themselves tightly to prevent laughter from leaking out. She tried again, "Stop- aha," and failed again. "Curry!" and other exclamations, each followed or preceded by unstoppable giggling of some sort until Xion was breathlessly laughing and trying to stop it had become a failed endeavor. "Ahahaha. Stop, Curry! CURRY STOP IT!". She was laughing, but boy oh boy, was she one of those vindictive types when tickled. It was torturous, not being able to reach anything or anywhere, and with her body bound midair like this, Xion was quickly beginning to lose track of her orientation as her mind filled with bubbling laughter and then a creeping fear.
All she could feel were tentacles or the open air. Even gravity was becoming a vaguely felt force in the midst of the tickling forced on her, indeed, sensitive body. All she could hear was blocked by her own laughter. She'd lost the majority of her ability to "see," in her manner, and that was... "NO! STOP IT! LET ME DOWN!" Xion shrieked, though she had been laugh-shrieking for a while.

If Toso didn't stop, then Xion worked to clumsily form a set of one-handed seals. Evidently, she finally remembered that she could use eiseijutsu with only one hand. While the grip Curry had on Xion was used to connect the spirits of the two, Xion sent a paralyzing shock through his muscles with the Suji dageki [ Muscle Shock] , hopefully tensing the muscles so that they'd release their grip on Xion. Oh, but Xion wasn't just aiming for that bare minimum. No, she dialed the technique up all the way to the 11th level on a scale of 1 to 10. Unlike when she was just testing this out on the innocent academy student, Xion wanted Toso to feel this. She wanted it very much. [1/2; Suji Dageki C-rank]
Xion put her feelings into the technique, fueling with her terror and need to get free from this lack of sensory information. Without any bearings on the outside world, Xion was all but paralyzed. She was going to make Toso feel that. She put in as much chakra as she could to hold him still for as long as possible. [2/2; Suji Dageki C-rank]
That wasn't the only reason, though. No, she wanted him still for the maximum length of time also because she was going to pay him back on top of shocking his muscles with the ninja equivalent of a taser. Xion's chakra concentrated amidst her panic. It streamlined itself into a fine weapon. [1/4; Suji Dageki B-rank]
Then she directed that fine weapon not just through Toso's tentacles, but through every portion of his body. She could originate this technique from anywhere she pleased, and it was going where she knew it would hurt. This wasn't a blind test, she was going to be ruthlessly effective at her job. On top of more precision, there was going to be more chakra. Wait, was that already mentioned? Whatever, even more chakra than what Xion first thought. After finding she was running low while sending it through to every part of the body the way she wanted to, Xion pumped in even more chakra. [3/4; Suji Dageki B-rank]
After building up this second wave of chakra like a good medical ninja, Xion released it all at once. The chakra coursed through... not the tentacles, but right where Xion wanted it from, the center of Toso's chest. It wouldn't stop her heart. She wasn't that heartless to want it anyways, but an attack from the center of the body was going to be a doozy of a shock and much more effective at paralyzing the entire body than one that had to travel through the tentacles. ~Current Theme Music~:Phweeen Biography - Mana Khemia Shion's voice would have been too quiet to penetrate Toso's intense self meditation, and as all individuals who were in such a state it would not have expected to be attacked. Xion's first attempt at release by targeting the tentacles themselves would backfire only slightly she'd be free'd from her tortuous laughter from the third tentacle as it stiffened more than a board but the first and second the ones having bound her hands and ankles tightened in response to the muscles in them tensing. Had this been Xion's neck they might've broken it with the sudden change but with what they were currently binding it would have likely just hurt suddenly.
This likely triggered the greater desperation for freedom, from the maid. In the time she was building up her chakra for the grande finale so to say the vice grip on her hands and ankles were starting to loosen but additionally the prodding third tentacle of tortures likewise was beginning to unstiffen. It's assault likely unsatisfied still in the instance of its freedom it would shoot towards Xion once more only to stop before contact. She could have targeted the tentacle but she instead targeted the source. Inadvertently the grips of the tentacles would loosen like removing a battery from a device they fell into limp heaps dropping the maid.
However, Xion might've been surprised that her attack would not incite the reaction she was probably looking for. Meanwhile in the machinations of Toso's inner mind. First a sudden pain that was unbearable and likely would have broken any persons meditation but this was usurped by the next state he entered. [Absolute Grey]. Suffice to say it's not as though Xion failed. The Squid was in all sense of the word immobile but what Toso drew from this well was certainly out there. Inside the inner Toso the man began to speak within himself. "Ah, is this, could it be? bloop...this is unexpected. Did I perhaps focus my chakra in such a way that? No...is such a thing possible...Have I achieved...NIRVANA. bloop." His body unresponsive Toso's state of mind began floating not unlike someone who had been submerged in a sensory deprivation chamber. Fully having believed he had achieved a higher state of being the cruelest thing to do now would probably be to snap the squid out of it.[Basic Training Meditate Complete]
Meanwhile Xion would be free to finally catch her breathe and probably begin forming a new grudge against the alleged 'client' of the mission. If Shion even remotely tried to speak with him she'd only see an incredibly stupid grin on his face where some drool began to form from the tensing of his facial muscles. These techniques maintain the same description and criteria to use, as well as require the same amount of time to mold the chakra through the weapon as would be needed to perform hand seals, meaning the techniques are not instantaneously cast. The user’s spirit is so strong, that they can utilize their physical bukijutsu techniques to negate ninjutsu techniques of the same rank or below.

However these extra limbs were intentionally made imperfect as they were easier and less excruciating to produce. They bear even more of a resemblance to their pacted brethren in the sense that limbs produced this way do not have digits and are instead nubs not unlike tentacles. • This Technique can be trained up only to the user's maximum body rank. It can then be retrained at each body rank increase the number of limbs. • Each Rank of [ Many Arms of the Squid ] confers an extra appendage that may extend from one's back, sides, or neck. The appendage is retractable capable of hiding within the body and may extend up to 10 yards away from the body. This appendage however, cannot form hand signs. • If an appendage is lost, the only way to recover it is with the Hojo technique [ Arms of the Squid ] which makes them just as precious as one's current limbs. • The appendages for the most part can be considered tentacles, these appendages feel pain as any other appendage, these appendages have a unique benefit of being treated as [ Whips ] for whip oriented Bukijutsu. • These appendages are severely disadvantaged using taijutsu that requires, hands, fists, or great feats of physical strength resulting in [-2 Rank Detriment] to the technique it's used in conjunction with. • Using these appendages with Taijutsu that grapple confers a [+1 Rank Bonus] to the grapple and sustaining the grapple. • These appendages can be used in conjunction with Hojo clan [ Sticky Fingers ]

Shion just stared at the two, completely bewildered by what the hell was even happening. THIS was the man who was supposed to be leading the mission? No words. Shion had no words. All she could do was repeat her statement, trying her best to reach the euphoric squidman. "Um... Tosokurui? I got past the clone you sent... now what?" That's right, Shion. Just keep repeating yourself. He has to hear you eventually... right? He couldn't be as dense as he looked... or could he... oh goodness!
