Galantros shuddered, not at the strong emotion of hatred and evil that passed through the fortress, however briefly before it was suppressed, but at the worriesome negative feelings Ophelia and Banquo had been giving out when it hit.

"Banq? Phe? You two okay?"

- - - - - -

"A good meal... we haven't had one of those since... ever, really. I think we should at least think it over, Nerissa..."

He then gave the fallen angel a bit of a crazed, slightly threatening look, lightning in his eyes.

"It'd better not be a backstab, that's all I'm saying."

Whether he just said something stupid or nuts to be talking to a fallen angel like that was for the others to decide. It at least took a bit of bravado to do it. Fallen angels weren't known for being weak at all. The way the angel had seen fit to casually touch Nee was bothering the not quite all there hell hound though. She still WAS his sister, and there was something.... impure about his mannerisims, especially when asking for one of her pups. Were it one of his, it wouldn't have mattered though, the thing would be born as a mutt, nowhere near as a good as a full breed. Hell, it could even be served up as their next meal... That brought the idle of thought of what their own kind tasted like. Just then, he had a thought...

"What if we could capture that b***h Ophelia? Nym could have his way with her then, and you'd also get your pups...

There may have been trace family type feelings for Nerissa for whatever reason, but there wasn't much love lost with Opehlia. The little hellhound whore got a caring mistress to call her own while the rest of 'em were stuck with Heegh.... though, all praise Lord Heegh, Former Satan help you if you didn't. Unbeknowst to himself, he shuddered a little, his mind flashing back to the early years with him when they were more tortured by him. Yes, give all the praise Heegh's worthy of and thensome to him, or you'll have many regrets.

"Villans always backstab each other I suppose is what you've learned. If that were true then we would have died off a long time ago." He removed his hands from Nerissa giving her one last stroke behind the ear.

"That is a good idea, but no because even if Nym or you did the job, they will still have a higher probability to end up with her nature."

He moved that petting attention to Sal mumble joking on how impure a petting was and allowed the other two to give their comments on what he and Sal had said.

Sal twitched and fidgeted, and not in a way that showed he enjoyed being petted. It made him anxious, nervous. Electricity cackled at his tail. Paranoid, twitchy. He didn't like being touched in such a manner, it felt strange. The hellhound simply gritted his teeth though, resisting the strong urge to growl or release a few stray bolts of lightning out of instinct.

For now, he needed to play the angel's game.

The hound looked bored to some extent, thoughtful to another. "Let me Consider it." She looked the dark angel over. An almost mother-like protective feeling came over her. It was because of this feeling that Nee made up her mind, "Fine."

Nym looked shocked. It could be his pup! it was his mate.
---
Ophelia's ears were still bent, pressed against her head, "Nerissa is around." She told Galantros, "My sister, poisonous personality. Among other things."

"Turn into your dog forms." Once that was done he used one of the Limbo portal charms and opened a portal. He did this instead of porting his way because it would look unusual if he popped inside his house to any of his neighbors that knew he was gone. "Follow me."

They found themselves in what looked like an average upper middle class neighborhood in front of a house with a well fenced half to an acre yard with neighbors under similar conditions. "Try to not get into fights with each other, absolutely do not show aggression to anyone or their pets while here, you may bark, if one of their pets attack you try not to kill it or hurt it too badly, try not to make much of a mess, and most importantly of all..."

He stopped in front of a gate which had a whining scratching noise behind it and opened it. Immediately two paws from a breed of canine that looked like the Hellhounds current form were on his shoulders wagging its tail. He put his hands on her face and sort of shook it a little and moved his hand to the top of her head and started patting it. His gaze turned to the others with him and gave them a very cold look that had possibly millions of years of practice to achieve. "Most importantly of all, if you harm or kill this dog I will reduce the quantity of the items I planned to give you and... don't think for an instant that it's okay once you have them. Come in."

As they walked to the house his dog sniffed at the hell hounds. He opened the door and inside someone jumped a little. "Donna! What are you still doing here?"

"I forgot my purse sir," said a woman who hurried out the door. After she was gone and all the dogs including his domestic one came in he shut and looked the door and started closing blinds.

The house itself was like a bachelor's pad. It had a den with a pool table, books, a couch, and a mini bar. The kitchen was organized with marble counters, a table, some hanging lights, and other necessities. "She is my house keeper," he explained as he opened a fridge and got out some stew and heated it up.

"She goes to church most Sundays." He gave each of them a bowl of the stew and put some medicine in the one he gave his dog. He pured himself a drink. "However..." Takes a sip while his dog happily ate her dinner. "She has been stealing from me lately... isn't it wonderful?"

Salanio would ask why the fallen angel didn't just rip out the woman's throat for doing such a thing, but figured if he said it was lovely, there was a reason behind it. It's not like the items of a fallen angel couldn't be replaced. He'd seen them before, producing items of their desires on a whim at times when they had enough energy. Still.... it scratched at his brain. Perhaps it was because he was expecting something more wrathful, due to being raised by Heegh.

"How is it a wonderful thing that she steals from you, and you do not tear her apart for her slights against you? Does that not show a sign of weakness?"

The hellhound's question was less sarcastic, and more curiosity fueled at this point. Even if the hell angel could recraft, purchase, or steal back what he wanted, it still took energy to do so. And besides, bathing in warm blood was a wonderous sensation, especially if it was still squirting as you ate their flesh. Salanio licked his lips as he devoured some of his stew, imagining the warm broth to be life fluids of some unknown victim.

"One raised by Heegh would think that." He finished his drink thinking on how he'd word the answer to the question and sat it down when he was done. "Her slights against me goes against the commandments of God which sum up to love everyone more than yourself, but specifically thou shall not steal. If she is stealing from me, then she doesn't love me or God. What makes it wonderful is that she claims to love Him, yet she is now intentionally sinning. I would be considered weak in this world if I killed or striked at anyone I pleased instead of holding back at times... do you know why it is important for me or the rest of us to not start a bloody war on every one and anyone on a whim or immediately retaliate and kill those who would steal from me, insult me, beat me, rape me, or kill me? Do you know that very important reason that makes it fantastic for them to abuse me in some way? Do you know why it is a weak trait to be an obvious bloody mass murderer and to not hold back until the time is right?"

Salanio gulped down his stew and thought about it for a moment. It was blasphemy a bit to go thinking against Heegh's ways, though the Satan seemed to be gradually shifting in some manners to something else he couldn't put his paw on. Then again, what was Hell, but one big blasphemy against some other deity that he's never felt the love of before. So he tried thinking outside his box for once...

and thought.... and thought.... A spark of electricity shot up from the back of his head, a memory coming to the forefront. Perhaps one he had tried to surpress. One of Heegh summoning screaming, twisted dark souls that howled worse than any banshee. Souls! He used those things to make some of the most powerful demons.

Salanio was actually rather bright, though mentally unsound. He thought back to the fallen angel's questions and information given. He had heard from some of the demons of old that the flow of darkened, corrupted souls had been diminished ever since Heegh took over, something that apparently wasn't the case when Lucifer was around. The souls were a power source, though renewable. If that was the case, then wouldn't Heaven be trying to get that same power, or make sure Hell had less of it? Then... if they went around just killing anyone that would have any slight against them, they'd start rumors of demons and hellish things dragging people to Hell.

Well good! A nasty reputation is always... no wait. Wait, think. They'd be afraid of Hell. And if they're afraid of Hell, they would do everything in their power to avoid it, including align themselves with Heaven. Wasn't there some talk about Lucifer being more about temptations then brute force?

....If people wanted to go to Hell, or even... unaware of it, and darkening their own souls until they died by sinning, they'd get their souls instead of Heaven. Perhaps.... perhaps the point was, to not be so feared, to be more inviting, to seem like such a horrible place did not exist... and you would end up with more of the souls.

During this entire time, Salanio had been scratching at his head furiously with his claws, to the point of drawing blood while thinking.... It wasn't that it was a huge struggle to think so hard, it just helped him focus... drawing a little blood, feeling the nice ache of minor pains.

"Souls... Hell needs souls so that Heaven doesn't get more of them. If we... If we kill or maim and terrorize too much, we get a reputation of being such an obvious evil... Nnnngh... so, we trick them? Make them think we're friendly, or don't even exist? So we can corrupt them, or they corrupt themselves, and we get more of them than God does?"

"Yes Hell needs souls, but rarely does Heaven get more of them... without souls Hell wouldn't exist, however Heaven would because Hell wasn't meant to exist to begin with. Only worlds familiar with Limbo are privy to the knowledge of the heaven hell gates... and there are millions of them that aren't. Therefore those worlds only have the prophets and faith and some an actual Bible of sorts to go by so it's easier to convince them that we don't exist. Limbo is more difficult. I won't go into the details of our trickery. By the by, unlike you those created demons cannot breed so he has to keep using souls and energy to create more."

He gave any of the dogs who wanted more some more. He moved away and left the kitchen coming back with a few items. Still talking mostly to Sal. "Your sister has already agreed to one of my terms therefore I will start on making it harder for any angels at the location I believe Adira will eventually end up at to communicate with other angels outside the place and to God. I must make it clear though that I've never guaranteed anything I promised to do to do anything more than to better your chances for if God himself interferes there isn't anything I can do other than maybe get you out alive. I've been thinking ever since you suggested it... I may end up doing something I haven't thought of to help you so if we succeed and could capture that b***h Ophelia would you still do your suggestion even if I end up not having to do anything extra?"

The suburban setting created discomfort with Nerissa. She didn't appreciate it one bit. As a result, she was hyper aware. She sniffed the stew, aware that her senses were significantly more dull than they were with her previous form. She lapped it up, eyeing her surroundings the whole time.

The conversation was an interesting one. It didn't go against the doctrine she was taught by Heegh. Heegh raised Nee to be an occasional killer, she was mostly used as a threat. Many demons knew of her silent, unavoidable poison. Many feared it. However, if Heegh wanted someone killed he would have Sal do it. Sal was fast and easy. One bolt. Boom. Dead. She rolled her eyes. Her brother seemed just a little slow. She thought him to be smarter than her mate, however. Nee didn't care much for her mate while he was around, but she wouldn't admit that she missed him when he was away from her.

Nerissa's ears perked at the mention of Ophelia. Her hair stood on end. Sal's other half. Sal and Ophelia were twins of sorts--both containing the same elemental origin: energy. Nee was the wild card. Her "twin" was dead. Dead before it even breathed its first breath.

Nym was interested in the conversation, more at home with his surroundings, "We can take that risk," He spoke when the fallen spoke of God, he added when the other hound was mentioned, "What of my brother?"

"I am ignorant to the exact words used when Heegh gave you your orders, thus I am unable to properly answer that question." He started rubbing Nym's head a little. "But don't tell me now. The sooner I do this the better."

His form changed to that of someone else. As he changed so did black wings appear on his back. As soon as they appeared all happiness from the room died, negative feelings and thoughts would try to pry into those who weren't already thinking them, a dreadful energy came off and at the same time threatened to suck the energy out of the others. The slightly weaker glimpse of home to the hell-hounds vanished as he drew it in and controlled it. "Be a good girl now," he said patting his dog who hadn't flinched. "You too... if you get that bored you can go outside and chase rodents as you are."

Once he had vanished she glanced at the other dogs and went into the den and laid on the spot on the couch that had a protective cover on it and actually clicked on the entertainment viewing screen.

---------

He of course didn't appear anywhere near his target and took on his ethereal form quickly moving to his target. When he got close enough he saw guards and many of them and even some who thought they were invisible. He went back deep into the forest outside of the alarm system's reach and the guard's patrol area.

He activated a device of his own invention that made him invisible to the whole Limbo alarm system even the cameras. After he did that he prepared a spot that looked like a campsite and prepared a poorly protected campfire that caught. The wind wasn't blowing the right direction to head towards the house but he gambled that a large enough forest fire close enough would get their attention.

It did, so while everyone was looking one way he came in from the other and stood next to THoR in the shadows on the side opposite that facing the fire where the guards were now headed to possibly put out. He cast his spell, using up a lot of energy to make sure it stayed effective and strong for many days once activated by having an angel enter the affected area before it would start to weaken.

Once that was done he went on the roof and put little devices that instantly blended into their surroundings in the chimneys and other openings up there. He entered the house and did things like create pens that looked like the other pens, removing one so when counted there wouldn't be extra and doing the same with other household items that he suspected many people normally touched, but he didn't make too many because he didn't have a great deal of time before someone got back. Done with his work he left. Once he got back, probably an hour or so later, he took the image he introduced himself with, but kept his wings out. He had apparently changed his appearance the first time in case someone saw him.

While the angel was gone, Sal hadn't actually done very much. He ate more food, talked to the dog to try to learn more about her master, and fooled around in his more human form temporarily to play with the billards table.

(Remember Heegh was a warmonger and preferred brute force and direct action over other methods... he can't teach that which he doesn't know.

According to Brooke Nym went outside and dug holes while Nerissa snooped about.)

Nerissa didn't really find out much about him that wasn't easily obtained from public records. The current name he went by at least was (Duran M. Lockhart or Masa D. Lockhart [it's under debate]) he was a vet that worked both in a normal clinic a couple days a week and at one that cared for abused animals so it was probably common for him to come home with animals, mail that revealed this, there were pictures of him and his dog, and of some 'family' members, there was one though of a dog that had markings like Nerissa and her siblings and one of a pup that had markings like the current dog of the house. He had tools for tinkering, many dog beds around the house that smelt like his dog, one for him, presumably a guest bed, and an office with tax papers, books, science journals, limbo's equivalent of a newspaper, a screen, and other things. His room had a bed, clothes, models he built, its own small entertainment system among other things... really it looked like a normal house.

She (the dog) looked at Sal while he spoke to her and sniffed at his paw. It was that time of the month for her. She was likely the dog mentioned for the deal. If she could talk, she decided not to at this instance and wagged her tail slightly.

Upon arriving back his dog got up and ran into the kitchen to greet him. He got himself out something to eat and put on a pair of ordinary looking glasses and watched what all the dogs did in fast forward while he was gone. Once done he took them off and had them vanish into his own personal dimensional storage.

He entered the room with Sal and watched him play while he ate.

Salanio had what looked like a sandwich hanging out of his mouth, mostly eaten, using a pool stick to send the cue ball slamming into the last remaining sphere, the 8-ball careening and depositing into a corner pocket. Tearing off a bit of his food and gripping what little remained of the sandwich, he chewed idly and looked up at Duran... he was still in human form in order to play the game. Electricity cackled in his eyes, but it was non-threatening, as if it were an unconscious twitch of some sort.

"Should I even bother asking what you just went and done? Feh..."

He gulped down the rest of his sandwich, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand. When he got his answer, and was then asked what orders Heegh gave them, Salanio squinted at the fallen angel then shrugged indifferently.

"Basically, he said. 'I want you to search certain areas in Limbo, and on Gaia Earth for Adira and her miserable filthy dogs. DO NOT let yourselves be known, or you'll regret it horribly when I collect you again, because you will not want to come back to Hell willingly if you ******** up. Simply report back if you find her.'"

Salanio frowned at this as he reviewed it over in his head again. Did the fallen angel count? He was one of them, one of Hell, right? Or was this something that would come back and bite them in the a**?

It was all moot if the spy had turned traitor really, which he had a strong feeling the spy had done so. They would need to tear Sylin apart to make amends to Heegh for that. However, he couldn't act if his sister and her mate weren't in agreement. He growled, electricity sparking between his fingers... he never was much of a team player. Maybe if he could have went it alone, things wouldn't have gotten so messed up.

Secretly, almost unknown to himself, he wanted free of Heegh. Would he do any good for himself or others once free? He wasn't so certain about that. A twisted part of him really enjoyed the tortures and killing sometimes, but at other times it left him feeling frustratingly empty.

Little did he remember or know, that fallen angels were good at seeing such hidden desires in others. It was one of their traits.

(I was asking Brooke, not you XD)

He sat his things down and sat back in the couch resting his hands on his stomach and twiddled his thumbs a bit. The other dogs probably wandered back in by now. "I did go o'er to House of Romance as a cutpurse where I do believe Adira will come and did my work which I have promised ere the house becomes full once more. I cast a most dreadful spell that I spent much energy to have not anyone notice the witchcraft which will stay or reduce the messenger's of the lord skill at communicating with their master making it harder to detect thy trickery. It will trigger once a messenger of the lord crosses it such as the airling messenger fair mistress Mori. As well it shall alert me upon their return." [this was a pain in the a** and I'm not even sure I did it right]

He decided to speak once again like more modern people do after Salanio spoke. "So then all you need to do is confirm her location and then Master Heegh decides the rest. Well I can't say anything of Nym's brother, nor is anything discussed about Ophelia a definite promise depending on what he decides. Nor should anything be done to Sylin even if he has turned traitor for all you are doing is confirming her location. Destroying him yourself will greatly increase the chance of blowing your cover yourself and not through him."

He continued to eat thinking. He kept his thoughtful face when he realized Sal wanted to be free of Heegh for it was somewhat a surprise since of all of them his thoughts made him seem more like his master's true dog. He wasn't entirely sure what to do with that info at the moment as he was pondering on other things.

"Ah, here's a thought on how to either confirm her location to be at that house once it is occupied by the owners or to find it to be false. None of you should approach the house as none of you seem to know how to fiend kindness or gentleness in your eyes. Even if you were to approach it in a guise of people wanting to stay, they would find something odd about you. Therefore I propose you get near the house as birds. We can either observe the species commonly found at this time of year in the area or I could simply research it. If the curtains aren't covering the windows you'd be able to peek in and no one would think twice about birds. If they are covering them and one of you fly into a window that you think someone is near and land right maybe someone would see you, come out, pick you up and bring you in to check on you and release you again once you seem well."
