Looking over at the book that was now moving quite quickly William closed the bottom portal just as the book entered causing it to slam into the ground as it came from the top portal. "Guess they don't realize I am here" he muttered with a bit of a sigh standing up slowly as he headed towards the room he had been assigned to. He had thought that at one point his father had sent for him to wait in the library but he had been waiting there now for hours it seemed. "What a pain" he muttered shoving his hands in his pockets as he walked thru the League's halls.

Is whether they use a human shield or make themselves one.

Vonna smiled at Aster. "Not too far. Let's go, shall we?" She took Aster's hand and led the girl out of the Hall of Justice to a parking lot meant for visitors to the Hall. Vonna's car, a blue Aston Martin, sat in one of the parking spaces. "Hop in," she grinned.

((Um...something I don't think I mentioned before and probably should have...the Hall of Justice was actually not built with separate rooms for people to stay in. Some rooms were built to allow a hero to rest in them, but there are no actual dormitories. The Leaguers either have their own homes outside of the Hall or reside in the Watchtower, and the Team live wherever they live in their aliases. At least, until they get their own HQ, which will be happening very soon. Sorry for not mentioning that before... sweatdrop ))

Aster follows obediently, though hesitates a moment before getting in the car. She buckles herself in and starts to sign something before stopping herself. She starts to sign several times before seeming to give up and busies her hands by playing with a small chain she pulls from a pocket instead.

Vonna noticed Aster start to sign something then stop a few times. "Something wrong?" she asked, starting the car. "Go ahead and use your telepathy. I can't exactly watch you sign when I'm trying to drive."

Aster hesitantly reaches over and lightly touches Vonna's arm, "Nothing's wrong..." She continues to fiddle with the chain one handed.

"I... Really don't know... I've never really had many proper conversations before this...", Aster responds with a small frown, her chain fiddling increasing.

Vonna chuckled. "You don't have to talk if it makes you uncomfortable," she said, pulling off onto a side road. "We're almost there, anyway. Toldja it wasn't too far."

Aster blinks, a bit surprised that it hadn't taken very long. "... Okay..." She pulls her hand back and looks out the window.

Vonna drove through a small, suburban neighbourhood and pulled into the driveway of a mint green house at the end of the street. "Well, here we are. Home sweet home."
