[・・・] A great bellow of a laugh erupted out of Inka, his head thrown back in surprised amusement. As quickly as the laugh had come over him, Inka was quiet once more, but there was grin on his face now, his amber eyes alight. "Of course, of course." He spoke, turning to write a quick note with his signature at the bottom in a small, neat, flourish. Turning back around, Inka handed over the note to Taylor - but he did not let go of the paper until he had her full attention once more. "Get some more missions done as well, Taylor. I want you promoted. You understand? I have a few that may be to your talents." The grin was just a whisper now, a smile full of hope - hope to see Taylor grow - but also, the darker depths of eyes flecked with red, was a sadness that was always there when he thought of every shinobi - under his command, in the academy, that he sends on missions, that he never sees again... "This will get you access to everything on your level. It's dated, however, not forever lasting. Come back in two days if you need an extension on your homework, kiddo." The smile widened a fraction. "Oh, and do me a favour? Stop in for lunch sometime? I'd enjoy the break from the paperwork without Krisella looming in the doorway." A soft chuckle and Inka released the note.

[・・・] A soft cough at the doorway and Inka looked up from Taylor to see Krisella standing at the threshold. The Mizukage gave a small, cheeky, smirk to the secretary and awaited the beratement...
"You're training session is soon, Lord Mizukage." Inka blinked at the news, his face quickly morphing to excitement - it had been so long since he was allowed to leave the office for the express purpose of physical training!
"Thank you, Krisella!" He grinned, teeth white and sharp. Inka turned back to Taylor and gave her a comforting pat on the shoulder. "Train well." He spoke, that edge of sadness threatening to spill through once again, before turning to leave the office, his black robe adorned on his shoulders.

Taylor froze at his words. Her face remained passive, barely. Inka wanted her promoted? Considering she was pretty sure she got smeared in the lay mission debriefing she was quite sure it would have been a dressing down. She looked up and nosed, pushing her glasses up onto her nose catching the light. "Yes sir. I'll try not to disappoint. " She said as she took the note and moved off. In her head she was recatigorizing inka from teaching to sempau [/sizei

A brief five minute walk later, Akoto and friend had arrived at the office of the Mizukage. She was a bit hesitant to go and explain how they didn't meet their mission's goals, but did end up with quite a lot of interesting information that the leader of the village should know. She explained her reason for being there to the secretary and scurried up the stairs towards the room where they would either be commended or scolded. It would be a pretty tough situation to be in, but hopefully he wouldn't outright kill them for failing. Once it was reached, Akoto gave a couple of weak knocks before stepping in with a pained expression on her face. "Ha, ah, Mi-Mizukage...We've returned from our mission." The youngest member of the duo looked down at the ground with twiddling with her fingers again. "We, er, brought back two prisoners during our, ah, travel, but there wasn't any sight of mercenaries. We did find some other strange things though..."
[・・・] Inka gave a distracted mumble of assent at the soft knocks at his door, though the ennounciation was slightly garbled by the pen held in his mouth. The papers and large book held open in his hands were already moving to set the loose sheets and heavy weight down onto his already cluttered desk as Akoto moved to enter his office. The pen was placed in a pocket as he stood up from his chair. Amber eyes flickered over the newly returned shinobi, a slight crease in his brow appearing before he locked their gazes together - or had tried to. Akoto was set at looking at the floor, her hands fidgeting.
"I'm aware of the prisoners." Inka spoke softly, his gaze showing his open worry for Akoto's nervous behaviour. A chuunin stationed at the Father Gates had called upon the genin's arrival with 'guests' and the two mercenaries were in custody, under supervision. "You've only just returned - take a seat and start from the beginning for me?" He offered, though the Godaime remained standing til Akoto would sit first. The Godaime was in no way obligated by manners or decorum to do so - but Akoto was obviously anxious, and he wanted to get the genin to feel more relaxed in his presence.

Kaneko was rushing to catch up to Akoto, why was she in such a rush to see the Mizukage? Even Kaneko knew that they didn't exactly complete their mission, but at least brought back something rather than nothing. She waved to the secretary, seeing Akoto go into the office and stopped at the door as the Mizukage spoke to her."Sorry I fell behind, Akoto."Unlike her partner, she stood straight; sort of. She had her hands behind her back and seemed to be more relaxed than Akoto in front of the Mizukage. She had heard the Mizukage say for Akoto to sit and nudged her friend and partner, afraid the poor girl would faint if she stayed standing. [ OOC: I'm here! ;^; ]

Seeing the clone of Inka that she totally thought was the real Inka, Akoto winced as he spoke. Had word gotten back to him this quickly? Kaneko and her had only dropped them off at the gates only a few minutes ago. Word must travel around the village at hasten speeds. Speaking of which, the spear wielder herself rejoined with Akoto and stood by her as she gave a weak smile at her team mate. "It's okay..." The girl mumbled before being motioned to sit and relay her information to Inka from a nice bump to guide her down. Not wanting to keep the Mizukage waiting, Akoto sat down in a nearby seat. Her hands gripped the sides of the chair with great unease, but at least her hands had found themselves busy for the time being. She would wait for Inka to sit down himself before managing to meet his eyes, her own full of discomfort and fear.
"I-It began when we were both in a cemetery, trying to f-find the mercenaries you had told us to stop. Our, uh, last two members had both disappeared and it was only Kaneko and I." A faint blush appeared on her cheeks as the child spoke. Her tone only confirmed her apparent emotions while her hands moved back to rest in her laps as she was slowly hanging her head back down. "The two bandits we brought here were busy doing something there. Then it became strange." Her brows furrowed while keeping her gaze down at the ground as her voice became softer and more troubled. "We found a purple aura near a tall figure with no name. He was clearly in a rage or unstable...His body had markings on it I've never seen before. After screaming about murder, he picked up another person there, a child. She had pink hair and didn't seem to know the man any. I don't think we have a name for her either....The last person was a blonde male. Turtle of the Uzimaki clan. He wanted to get his unconscious friend back to Kirigakure. Somebody named...Taka?" Another frown came, but her eyes traveled back up to the Inka clone's again. She was trying her best not to look too weak in front of the man, which proved to be a pretty hard task for her. "The marked man told us why he had come here. At least...I think. He said something about the blonde man owing him opium..."
The mention of that word was enough to affect Akoto. If Kaneko were near, her free hand would shoot up and grab onto whatever part of her she could grab. If she was not, however, the Senju would simply continue resting uneasily. "Sorry...Ah-I don't have a good...The man with markings transformed into a more normal form and asked the child if he should killed the Uzimaki's friend, which she said no. He vanished and left everyone there." Akoto said, finishing the tale before looking to Kaneko in case she forget a super important detail. The child leaned back in her seat and hoped that Inka wouldn't be mad at their lack of success. "Ah-I'm sorry for failing our mission. We couldn't find the camp and the marked man could have made the mission to hard for only the two of us..."
[・・・] Inka took his spot in the plush chair behind his desk and leaned forward onto his elbows, hands resting on opposite forearms. As Akoto spoke, however, his gaze turned inwards, and a hand lifted to brush scarred fingers over his thin lips. The Godaime's brow creased and, by the end of Akoto's retelling, Inka had closed his eyes as he let out a deep sigh.
"You did the right thing." He spoke, hand lowering to rest upon the surface of the heavy-set desk once more. "It appears I sent you into a far more dangerous situation than originally envisioned. The prisoners you brought back were taken straight to questioning and medical care, so we will, hopefully, get a proper location on their hideout for the first time, along with a more accurate estimate of their defences. No, you did the right thing." Inka pauses here, gaze darkened slightly, the red flecks around his pupil showing clearer than before. "The man with the.. markings. Did he appear to be with the mercenaries?" The child, the blond man, an individual named Taka, they didn't ring as many alarm bells, but there was concern as to why they were there. The marked man, however, if Inka's assumption was correct... A drug deal, perhaps? Opium - of all the things... "Or the blond man?"

Akoto let out a soft whine as Inka seemed to reflect upon the information that she had provided. His judgement of jumping ahead may have been true, but Akoto still felt partially responsible for not being able to fully complete the mission. "S-Sorry, Mizukage." She apologized while continuing to twiddle her fingers like normal. The topic switched to the man with markings she had discussed as the first point, being asked if she knew if his affiliation was with the mercenaries. This question baffled the young genin. She barely even knew if he could even have any allies in that sort of group. Or any group for that matter. "Ah-I'm not sure. He was agressive to the two prisoners, wh-which means there's reason to believe otherwise." Akoto looked back at Inka with a concerned expression. "The blond Uzimaki could have been. He s-seemed to be a rogue. His friend needed to come to the village before he was taken by the marked man. That's, er, all I know. Sorry, Mizukage."
[・・・] Inka blinked, remaining quiet, passive, allowing Akoto to find her proverbial footing in this situation. Or so he had been. But the girl was still floundering, and her partner was remaining a statue. She was still getting the information out, stuttered and twitering like a bird as it was, but flowed it did. When the genin ended with an apology, the clone only raised a hand, showing a universal gesture to remain calm - and it stayed even as he stood and began to walk, slowly, steps measured and calm, to lower his hand on Akoto's shoulder as Inka took a stance beside her.
"Breathe in," The Godaime's clone spoke. "To the count of seven." He would wait for Akoto to do as intructed, his hand on her shoulder to gently push back slightly while another hand waited, fingers poised to bare resistance as Akoto's posture was manuevered up and straight. "Good posture isn't just for formal occaisons, Akoto Nakahara." Inka explained smoothly. "It opens the airways. Open airways lead to better oxygen intake and slower breathing required. That leads to a calmer mindframe. Practice. Meditate." The hand at Akoto's spine falls away and the one on her should gives a reassuring squeeze. "You did good. Both of you. Write up your reports and submit them to the office desk or Krisella. Then go get cleaned up. Rest." Inka turned and returned to his desk - outside the heavy set doors of his office, a phone rang loud and piercing. It barely bleated before being answered. Inka looked over his shoulder to the door but otherwise didn't pause. "We'll take over from here. Dismissed." Inka sat down at his desk, amber eyes showing a brief moment of compassion before he returned to the paperwork laid out all over the thick piece of furniture. "I'm proud of your work."

Kaneko remained quiet while Akoto explained what they did; frankly she was just relieved the rogues and mercenary didn't hurt them. She did need to train thats for sure and maybe Akoto could help since she was also a medical shinobi. She waited for them to be dismissed and took Akoto's hand to pull her up and out of the office."Akoto, do you want to practice some medical justu at the hospital with me? I'll be there if you need me, don't be shy about wanting to practice together."She let the other's hand go before going downstairs and turning in her report once she got it written up, after that she left to go train unless she was needed later. The journey to the center of the village was quite a beautiful one. Houou had so many questions along the way, however taking his guides lead, Houou remained silent and stayed close to the man. Houou was awe struck as they arrived at the towering sero tree. Houou had never seen anything like it in all his life. This massive elder tree was truly a sight to behold. The wonder it bestowed on Houou was enough to make him stop in his tracks with his mouth wide open. Even joyous guide had to pause for a moment, making it clear that Houou was holding him up.
Rushing to catch up to the reading Kiri-nin, Houou found him entering the trunk of the Sero tree and making their way up a few level. Once at the top of the trunk, they came to a stop at a very well crafted desk. The name on the desk sad Krisella. Houou let the kiri nin do the talking, as he was in possession of all joyous paperwork. Houou merely stood in astonishment as his eyes wandered the insides of the tree.

KrissellaThanderveldt Kirigakure's Secretary
___ Krisella looked up from the log book laid out before her, blinking as a slightly crumpled pile of papers was held out for her. Two females walked out from the doorway set beside the desk. The secretary's face fell dark as she took the papers, noticing their less than pristine state. She opens her mouth, standing to her full height - the Rogue's escort dissapeared in a puff of smoke. Krisella's right eye twitched before she set her attention to the papers, doing a quick count and glance over the vital sections before nodding. Walking to the open set of doors, Krisella stepped in and spoke.
___ "An asylum application." Barely a beat of silence before Krisella was turning to Houou, finally looking the Rogue over before signalling to follow her in. The Office was open, spacious, with a large, heavy-set desk at one end, two chairs set before it. Behind the desk, Inka Hizara sat. A black robe drapped over the chair's back, the Godaime was tanned, sharp featured in the face. Brown hair and amber eyes appraised Houou, though he didn't appear to be particularly negative about the new arrival. Krisella walked over, handed the paperwork to the Godaime and left, leaving Houou in a silent office while Inka began reading the application -
___ "Oh," Inka spoke up, voice low and calm. He made a gesture to one of the chairs set before his desk. "Take a seat."

As houous guide vanished, leaving only a cloud of smoke, he found himself startled and slightly terrified. He could see that krisella was not satisfied with the papers in her hand. Luckily for Houou, her irritation wasn't directed at him in any way. As krisella gestured Houou to follow her, he quickly dusted himself off and made his way through the mizukages office doors. Giving a respectful bow to both krisella and Inka, Houou took a seat as instructed. Houou sat quietly as Inka looked over his paperwork and familiarized himself with Houous specific case.
