___The Raikage had mentioned something about some new shinobi training in bukijutsu in the dojo, but Kaneo was perplexed to find no such thing. He'd been suggested there might be a spar involved, but all he saw was a few people meeting, discussing something he didn't much care to get involved with. He shrugged and found himself a spot to train on his own. He'd have preferred to have Mizuki around, of course, but at the end of the day they didn't really mesh well in regards to using each other's techniques in a spar.
Kaneo whipped open one of the scrolls that he was given permission, the first stage of Hagane no Shunkan. A perfect option for someone with as much chakra as he had. The first up was a simple thrust of his weapon. Not a complex technique by any measure, and not a great fit for his katana, but a good way to gain familiarity and balance in the style's stances. The dummy stood no chance as steel slid between the bamboo mats and retreated again just as quickly. Next up was the interesting named "Linear Step" technique. Relatively straight forward, pardon the pun, it simply asked the user to step or dash forwards, or backwards, quickly. Not terribly interesting overall, and Kaneo performed it with only a slight bit of bumbling. Its motion alone would make him slightly faster, the rest of its effects aside from that seemed lost on him. Either he did it wrong somehow, or the scroll oversold the technique - from his understanding it would hardly be the first time someone got a bit braggadocios about their beloved creations. And so it was time to finish up the first stage of Hagane no Shunkan with the first technique that seem tailor made to support his own proclivities. The scroll warned that this technique could be rather draining for those generally inclined to fighting with weapons, and Kaneo doubted he'd be trying to handle a lot of head on attacks or brute force defenses, but the layer of chakra he seemed to effortlessly apply to his weapon would certainly help if he found himself in a bit of a pickle. It acted so far as he could tell like a sort of buffer, and indeed striking the dummy did feel a bit deadened compared to normal. Honestly surprised by how easy it had been to master a whole stage of bukijutsu, Kaneo immediately dove into the next, hoping it would provide his clumsy a** some sort of a challenge. Alas, it seemed he'd be sticking with chakra techniques; useful to himself as a fighter, but ultimately less challenging. This particular technique asked him to focus his chakra along the side of the blade, leaving the the cutting edge exposed for attacks, but repelling parried attacks from the metal surface itself. He had to admit, it was quite an ingenious use of chakra in a martial setting, taking the physically damaging strain off the user and assisting them in gaining an advantage at the same time. He marveled at the forethought, or at least excessive trial and error, required to design something so simply effective, before moving once again. So far Kaneo had little in the way of actual offense, and unfortunately he wouldn't directly be getting that here either. Instead he'd get a setup technique. One capable of putting him in position for something a little more dangerous, while fending off an opponent's attack. The Genin place his weapon against the training dummy's wooden mimic, as if their weapons had just clashed, then drove forward into the attack, using leverage to control and zone off the weapon of his fictional opponent. He fumbled a bit with the follow through, a simple stab to the torso, but he'd grasped the concept well enough to move on. The rest would need to be learned on the fly, and he'd need to be careful judging his opponents abilities, considering meeting an attack head on might end up with him on his a**. Kaneo had to admit, he was a bit exasperated to find yet another defensive technique on his scroll. Supposedly these techniques all enhanced others used alongside them, but he wouldn't ever get that benefit if he never actually got around to learning any. For the moment, he practiced the pivoting block against the dummy, carefully sidestepping, rotating around the most suitable foot, and redirecting the training tool's imaginary attack away from him. It would be a stretch to say he was out and out bored, because he still had something to work at, but he wasn't exactly enthralled by his bukijutsu experience so far. Hopefully things would get more interesting down the road, because for now he could poke things... with a katana. Not exactly the most favorable of techniques for his chosen weapon. He was very good. Much more nimble than himself. When Hachiro came flying back at him, Genesis stumbled back in surprise. Furthermore, when the youth landed on his blade he hardly knew how to respond. He hadn't developed the quick responses or battle sense that the shinobi around him clearly had and his reflexes weren't up to par. Thus, Hachiro's blade found it's mark. The sword rapped him on the forearms, causing Genesis to drop his weapon and recoil backwards. "Ow ow ow" He said as he rubbed his now bruised forearm.
Stopping his retreat a few paces away, he gazed at Hachiro "You got me. I concede." Outwardly he was very calm, if not slightly disappointed. Inwardly, he was angry. Even if he didn't want to be, he was. Angry that he wasn't vicious enough, angry that he didn't have that natural battle instinct Hachiro seemed to have. Mostly he was angry at his weakness. He would have to double down on his training to fix that.

The day of training began with a shower. It was the top of the evening, and they would do as much as they could today. They stepped from the locker room shower completely refreshed, in separate bodies of course. Jay procured a scroll, and the two read it as they stretched.
The title of this book was The Hill that Moved the Mountain, and it contained information that the duo didn't buy too much into normally. They were very on the level with themselves about how they operated in combat. They would avoid damage as needed, but they were not afraid to take a hit and hit back. They, for all intents, were the mountain. Mountains are massive intimidating rocks, indomitable to the wind, to the rain, to the very forces that blow down the world around them. What is a hill but a small mound of dirt. Imagine a hill fighting a mountain. It cannot break through it with force. No, but with intelligence it can move the mountain. It can shove it away when it bears down and escape encroaching disaster with a well timed parry. The duo could incorporate this ideal into their combat style. In fact, they were fairly flexible from years of daily work and training. It wouldn't be hard to attempt to get a read on their prey and simply not be there when they tried to hit back. Their knowledge of the jing fe style was extensive enough that it could serve as a buffer for their attempts to parry an opponent. [C rank Formless]
it seemed as though the specifics were further detailed, special techniques that would be helpful to the duo. Where the two were formally trained in the art of being unmovable in lieu of their jungle training, they had neglected to learn that blocking wasn't everything. There was extensive information present that would help them out in that regard here. The two needed to relax their bodies and not be as tense. It was a waste of their energy. Their opponent would likely expend great deals of energy trying to knock them off of their footing, so it was good that they were going to be putting less forward. All they really needed to do was redirect it, and send whoever was encroaching on them to the floor. That, or they could use their blocking skill to make their attacks miss the mark and continue on, opening them up for further destruction. Something like a high punch could be intercepted and redirected, outright dodged, all in the hopes of opening up the opponent. The same principle applied when dealing with projectiles and projectile attacks. Move in, move out, be precise and direct about how you move and avoid. Simplicity is key. [B rank Formless]
In keeping with the idea that not everything needed to be direct, Jay snagged a scroll on Konoha Taijutsu with the swiftness and unfurled it. While the info was fresh in Jeon's mind he would need to ensure she could regurgitate the information. "Explain this skill to me," he spoke plainly. So Jeon read it a couple of times over. As far as her understanding went it was just extra steps when she could just hit someone really hard, but she could wrap her head around it fairly easily, and they were both at a point where the ability to visualize things was good enough for them to grasp an attack. "Long and short, you're not trying to break their form, rather a limb. It's a flying python's grasp." Jay nodded. "And why might this be better than trying to break someone's form, as you put it?""Cause the hill can move the mountain." Jay nodded, moving down to the next skill and giving them both some space. Now this next attack was a dangerous one. One that was fun and effective at making a point. To begin, the pair lifted their legs as high as they would go and simply held them there. Their target was a heavy bag, built to resist impacts of high caliber. They brought down their legs, hitting it with some force, but not with the full breadth of their destructive capabilities. No this was accuracy training. Just as important as being strong was being precise. When they were confident with both legs that they could strike without missing the center, they started battering it as hard as they could. They even stepped a few paces back and jumped to bring down more power and impact. The two nodded to each other and started kneading chakra into their legs. With one more powerful leap, they brought down their legs and released the mass of chakra on impact. To say that the noise from the impact was loud was an understatement. [Tsuuten Kyaku]
Tame Za Kyodou. That was the name of the brand new style they were going to learn. They continued doing basic stretches as they read over the first skill. It was painfully simple. Feint a punch and then deliver an actual punch in the space of time where they are distracted. It wasn't like this wasn't something that was smart to do anyway, or difficult to understand but it was only the beginning of the style. [Resu Tame Tabu]
The next skill was a bit more complex in practice because chakra was involved, but it was no less an easy skill to understand. It was a simple haymaker, with the added damage of a chakra based burst of cutting bruising force. This would be good for simple jabs, turning them into far deadlier attacks by far. [Rosutai]
The next skill was a very basic stance akin to that of a boxer. Legs spread a bit, resing on the balls of your feet with your arms up, this was a stance that would heavily favor sudden mvoements. From here, a kick OR a punch could be delivered, both with equal power behind them. [Juuryou no Yokorobi]
The next skill was one that Jeon would like a lot more than Jay would because of how pointedly disrespectful it was. With a sharp flex of the muscles, one was expected to hook around the back of a person's neck with their leg. Following that, they were expected to slam the victim's face into the ground with a driving force. They were very used to doing far more destructive things to people's bbodies than that, so it was nothing for them to learn. [Tsuyoi Senkou]
The next skill was extremely remnant of something they had already done earlier in training actually. It was another, less powerful heel drop skill, this one intended more to debilitate than it was to kill. The aim was to bring the heel down on somebody's head and disorient them, and that would open them up by weakening them. A lot of this style was good for doing harm to people with quick, precise attacks. [Kire Ono]
The very next skill was one that was a counterattack aimed at being difficult to react to depending on how much damage the opponent put in to hitting them. That moment of recoil would prove to be their undoing, as this skill aimed specifically to attack in that gap inbetween their defenses. Speed would be the key for this one, alongside the stamina to resist hitting the ground from whatever initially hit them. Still, there were a lot of potential uses and applications for it. [Keai]
Now they were in for the fun things. Jay liked the idea of stopping an opponents attack dead in it's tracks and then retaliating and punishing them for even trying to do him or his sister harm. His elbow would be the flail of god in this situation, striking down the poor fool. Summed up, he understood the concept of blocking and counterattacking very well. [Hyoushi Tentou]
The following skill was one more up Jeon's alley, what with how she refused to ever sit still. It was a lot of movement, moving to the side of an opponent to get inside of their defenses and then attack. The specific attack was an attempt to palm strike the back of the target's head and disorient them so bad they would be slow to move and react when they went to do so. [Assai Hiza]
Now, oddly enough the next skill was an improvement on the last one. The last one simply tried to get around and into the edge of the person's defense to strike the back of their head in a manner conducive to disorienting them. It would be a useful skill for those purposes of those who were involved with that sort of thing. Instead, this skill would improve upon that idea. It was a measure of throwing off a rushing attacker instead. The skill would prove to be far more effective if a target was coming at them, especially hostilely. This jostling bonetrousle of a move would also serve to increase the damage they would be able to dole out by leaping forward and slamming their knee into the back of the skull of their target. With the way they fought, that bit of damage would very quickly translate into another attack. [Rinten Atemi]
Jay really liked the next skill. There was always something about jamming your knuckles into something that really resonated with the younger, larger twin brother. This skill involved chakra, and was no less intense than the instant killing heel drop from the Konoha Style they had learned. The first motion, however, was a simply straight that would dig into the gut of the opponent. The move was so different from the Jing Fe style of striking, but nonetheless it was easy to understand. A straight always came with more damage than a jab, and was less irritating than it was damaging. However, for their purposes a ball of chakra would well up in the tenketsu of the fist, and following that be released on impact. The related damage would scale from debilitating to destructive quite fast. [Rocketobushi]
The last skill was admittedly less cool but still useful. The aim was to put them off balance by attacking the feet with the first kick. The kick was one aimed to straight up move it aside, scattering a stance wide or making an opponent's own attack go wildly off course,.The next motion would come immediately after, with a swift kick in the head or jaw with the intention to send them flying into the air. That would be a hell of a skill to end someone's drunkness for sure, which was oddly noted on the scroll. [Saidohando]
The two took the scroll and rolled it up. That was all they would be able to absorb and retain for now.
The two went to their respective locker rooms and found them empty of people. They had decided it was now nap time, and so it didn't take them much time to shower once more and then lay out on a bench with their bags serving as pillows. They were soldiers, and as such they were used to sleeping in weird positions, such as the one they found themselves in. They also were used to sleeping in barns around smelly animals so that also didn't bother them. As they snoozed for a spell, not even the temperature could bother them. Such as they were, they were completely at peace. Jeon tossed and turned a lot, but at the risk of falling off the edge of her space for sleeping, she didn't do much there. Jay, also in a similar position, if on the opposite side, didn't move much when he slept at all. Both of them simply snoozed away quietly. Snoring was a habit they murdered subconsciously under threat of being denied a meal for keeping the others awake. The small children they were they had grown out of, and that habit went out along with it. No, they merely slept like silent little babies. Gross as it was, Jeon had a tendency to drool. Jay luckily didn't unless they were merged, and they rarely slept merged when they napped together. They spent a lot of time sleeping so they didn't have to often, but now was a time they decided to fully rest. They woke up at the crack of whenever the ********, and came back out well rested.

Making his way back into the dojo, Shiro adjusted his newly cleaned coat. For some reason it was not sitting on his shoulders as well as it did before. Probably because it now had the "third raikage" mantle hanging from it, sewn under the fur collar. Letting out a heavy sigh he headed through the rooms until he happened across the twins. Almost instantly his mood shifted. Making his way over to them he extended his hand,"Good to see you two. How was the mission?" Extending his hand first to Jeon then to Jay he would shake each in turn.

"Oh! Shiro!" Jay said as he saw the man. It was upon seeing the mantle that the younger of the two realized he was now addressing the Raikage. The man was still leaps and bounds ahead of him. "Congratulations, lord Raikage," he spoke with a cheesy grin. He gave a light bow before his sister did the same thing.
"Yes quite! But don't think that mantle and a lofty title puts you that far ahead of us," she teased at him. Both had took his hand, but Jeon took a step farther, squeezing him in a hug. "As for the mission... well..." in another long winded anecdote that was far too accurate and extremely vivid she gave him the run down. By the end, she was rolling her arms out. "And then some girl and a white tionger cat monster thing took over and now we came to train and I actually feel a whole lot stronger."

Returning Jeon's hug he smiled a bit,"Hell if anything it might be just the opposite, time to train has been exceptionally limited as of late truth be told. Think I might be loosing my edge all things considered." Listening to her report he could not help but smirk. Their energy never ceased to amaze him. But his smile faded after a moment when the implications of what he was going to ask of them started to set in. After a heavy sigh he waved for them to follow him,"Come on we have to talk." Making his way out of the room he mounted the stairs all the way to the rooftop access. Pushing open the door he stepped into the light breeze and lit a smoke. Once the twins had joined him he let out anther light sigh.
"When I took this spot I made a promise that I would not allow it to change me. But despite my best efforts it already has. I am now intimately aware of the weight of my own choices and actions. Lives will burn brighter and be snuffed out by my choices whether I like it or not." Taking a drag he continued,"I trust you two, more then probably anyone in the village except probably Tosa and Unki if were being honest. I know if I give you a task that you two will see it done. I know that you can put your personal goals aside for the village's. But what I am about to ask you, hurts me."
With almost a force of will he managed to continue,"I want you two to become ANBU Black ops members. Glitz and glamor aside, the things I will be forced to ask you to do, are going to stick with you, there is no escaping that fact. The anbu corps will change you and more often then not, its not for the better. Your hands will be bloody. The choice is entirely yours, either anbu or squad leader, but you cannot be both." Taking another drag he slowly exhaled the smoke through his nose with a sigh. He hated to have to even have this conversation, he was slowly starting to curse Thanato's for his choice.

Jay smired as the newly made Raikage said he may have been losing his edge. Doubtful at best. Shiro was one of the world's hardest hitters, from Jay's limited perspective, and he sort of emulated that. The kage seemed to darken a bit. He was pointedly dejected which Jay knew from hospital work under the man. Jeon caught her twin's eye and they both motioned for him to do what was expected of him now, and they would take their place. He would lead, and they would follow. And so the duo began moving to the roof top. Not surprisingly, Jeon reached for her brother's hand: she could feel his energy, sensor or not. It put it in perspective for Jay, who was a lot less feeling and more thinking oriented. Whatever this was was going to be difficult to swallow.
Jeon so loved the feeling of the sun on her face. She loved how it warmed her. She loved being high up in the air. She loved Kumo because even on the ground she was closer to the sun that had always been a constant in the fields. Jay never quite got the whole "stop when the breeze comes in" thing quite like she did. He was slower than her, but he managed to keep up for it. He had a habit, though, of seeing a tree and not the forest. Jeon told him it lended to his inability to pick up emotional cues without her, and he countered she didn't have to focus to be as intuitive as she claimed. Point of contention aside, she was far more eager to hear what was eating at her once teacher, twice friend, now leader. Change. That was what he was feeling. She felt the pit of her stomach contort. She knew it well. Her hand left Jay's and the younger brother maintained a look of empathy. She could feel the weight of change. She and Jay had uprooted a decade ago to come here, alone, to a new climate, a new living style, a new life. His choice would bring wrath and ruin, life and prosperity. She knew he would need advisors. Jeon closed her eyes and inhaled as took a drag of the cigarette and something of a spark lit in her brain. Jay couldn't stop her as she slashed at the man's cigarette with her machete in a motion so deft there was almost no room for comic relief or levity. He wouldn't, likely, even see it, as he just kept speaking.
The two of them sort of had similar responses to what he said. The trust was greatly appreciated. They strived to be warriors. To be dependable. Some of it was residual, some of it was ambition if that was a word for it. Jay and Jeon both swelled a bit with pride, but what could he possibly feel was so hard to ask that it would hurt the twins. Jay crossed his arms, adopting a posture that was inquisitive, almost skeptical, but still reassuring. Jeon was stone still. The assertion that followed was met with an exchange of looks like someone promoted on spot. Jay and Jeon both narrowed their eyes, though, when he went on. Jay looked at his hands, unfolding his arms and pursing his lips. Jeon could see the apprehension and took his hands in her own. No words needed to flow. They communicated via minute changes in body language. Being masters of their genetics also allowed them minute changes in their homeostasis. Through contact, they understood each other perfectly. She searched his eyes for answers, and the way he barely moved a smidgen gave her so much information. She could feel him giving way. She could sense in him that he knew she was right, but even still something gnawed at his subconscious. She couldn't say the words. But she knew what he needed to hear. She put her hands on his cheeks, forcing him to see and hear her words, to feel the gravity of what didn't exist. The unspoken message was clear.
"We are slaves no more."
Jeon was the one who spoke, a smile on her face and the tornado of nonspeech ended. Even Jay held that ******** smile as he looked away. "We came here, and were given a home, food, and friendship. We enlisted to protect. We enlisted to become the shadows. You are the Shadow of Lighting, the highest title in Kumogakure. Who would we be to deny the leader of the land that gave us hope when there was none." Once more she embraced shiro, burying her face in his chest and poorly hiding the crying that was evident in her voice. Jay placed a hand on his shoulder and spoke a much more serious, direct, and astoundingly non-meretricious line.
"I have never wanted for a sibling before, but in you we found a brother. In you we trust, Shiro. In your words, we have faith. In your leadership, we have strength. If the ANBU is where we can serve as your left hand, or even the boot which will crush your enemies, the enemies of Kumogakure, it is so." Jeon looked up at him.
"If you stop smoking." they harmonized.

"Nice to meet you!" Her posture was straightened up and Unki looked less than suspicious of things now. Madam Maid ultimately instilled the basis of the unusal game. After hearing the 'how-to' Unki understood how she horribly botched that game. For a few moments, Unki dropped her sights to the floor and looked sheepish in the face of her confusion. "I get it now... Xion continued to speak and further to throw in casual, off-the-wall nicknames. Unki was taken back a bit by the use of the words "Curry" as she linked the word to Toso. The use of "Morning" was beyond her understanding as equally was "Manju". Must be a quirk. A fun and potentially confusing quirk. "Ahh... You're one-step ahead of me on the details. At least, that's what it feels like." Unki frowned and pressed a hand to her chin. Her sights drifted to one side as she began to think. "Well, given my luck of late, we can probably stumble upon Toso before then. In the meantime, let's keep tabs on one another!" If she could Unki would feel up to giving off a literal beam of confidence, for her temporary team to bask in, as she spoke. Like a sense of responsibility, Unki carried her words clearly for the others to hear. Time to be a leader! "I gotta' know if anyone here needs supplies! I have a few things to take care of myself before we get going. Napping is one of them. Go gather any goodies you think you'll need and we'll meet back.... She dropped her arms. "Uhm... At the gates! Yeah! Meet up at the gates when it comes time to head out. Toso's gotta head up that way anyway to leave, yeah? Of course, if either of us sees him do let him in on the meeting spot!" Unki was smiling again. Her perk of confidence came back. She then began to weave a hand into a vest pocket and poured her attention into dividing and counted out four 500 ryo bills. She paired two bills up, for a total of 1000 each and would offer them to her temporary underlings. "Use these to pick up whatever you may need! For you..." Unki, having approaching the kunoichi pair, passes a share to Shion and is careful to hand the other share to Xion. "Keep whatever you don't spend, yeah? "

Shion let out a little sigh of relief as their new teammate spoke. There were no odd speech patterns, no weird quirks... she seemed to make sense! Maybe things would be fine after all. Shion nodded as Unki suggested a meeting place and accepted the ryo. She didn't really need any supplies, having just recently stocked up, but she would never turn down aid. Who knows... maybe she'd find some niche tool that might come in handy on their quest. "I think a quick nap sounds like a great idea, actually." Though her little spat with Toso's clone wasn't really that intense, she did expend a lot of chakra, and she could feel it weighing on her. Can't go on a mission half cocked, now can we? "I'm going to head out for a few and meet you two at the gates. With this parting message, Shion turned and left, giving the two a quick wave goodbye as she headed out.
As he watched the twins debate his words, he felt something within him. Something akin to jealousy. The twins had a bond that he only prayed one day he would have with another human being. It allowed them to function and cooperate on a much more intimate level then anything he had seen outside of the most experienced and longest lasting anbu teams. Spitting out the butt of his newly trimmed cigarette he continued to watch them until they had apparently come to an agreement.
When Jeon said his piece about what they had gained from the village and what he had given him he could not help but sigh a bit. Shiro did not see it that way, he simply enabled them to have a life any human being deserved. The basic needs of humans. When Jeon reminded him of his position he could not help but twinge a bit. He did not feel like the Shadow of Lightning. He had heard the stories of the strength and power of the previous kage and he knew he did not even come close to measuring up.
Then, as if to pull him from his through, Jay buried her face on his chest to, poorly, hide her crying. Lightly stroking her hair, Shiro could not help but attempt to comfort her. After a moment he let out a sigh as he began,"I seriously dont know where your confidence in me comes from. But I can say this, you'll be a sword. To defend and to strike. To kill and to silence. BUT first I need to see if your up to snuff. You could either take a boring written test or you can throw down a couple of times with me, what do you say?" He was COMPLETELY ignoring the quite smoking line, he would address it later though.

___Back to training, this time Kaneo would be focusing on his clan techniques. First up was the most basic of techniques, the creation of Focus points themselves. First he'd need to select an item to focus upon; a kunai would serve the purpose just fine.[1/3] Kaneo focused his chakra into the kunai and awkwardly twirled it in his hand. A moment later he tossed it at a nearby training dummy, where it stuck fast slightly above what would have been the naval. Not the most advantageous of positions to expand his vision from, but it'd work for this purpose.[2/3] For a moment the genin seemed to float in a nether relm between his own body and the dummy, and then his world reoriented. Like water settling into a bowl, everything swam and slowly calmed. And, strangely enough, now he was staring at himself. He had to admit, he looked even more dapper from third person. Well, with the big function of his dojutsu learned, Kaneo figured he'd move on to its sensory elements. He could move his sight where he wanted, so it was time to expand what he could see. For the Mugen, that meant seeing all the chakra, and its movement, in the area around himself.[1/3] In essence, it was a time-lapse of everything that had move through his light of sight for the last half a day. He could turn certain elements up, highlighting frequencies and granting him a basic overview of what had been happening. He could see the bounding movements of those who had been sparing, the pools of chakra from those training techniques in one spot.[2/3] All of this flooded his senses, once again nearly overloading them. It was strange to see his own body react, to feel it react while his vision didn't. The next technique on Kaneo's radar, so to speak, would allow him to throw his projectiles with better velocity and aim. All he had to do was focus. Well and extend chakra to create a path for it to follow.[1/4] To start with he began by focusing his chakra. It was relatively simple, just extending a beam of chakra from the center of his vision to his target. In that beam he used his clan jutsu to lower the air pressure, which would setup for the next phase of the technique.[2/4] In order to meet his beam of chakra, Kaneo would need to throw his kunai in a very specific way. Having achieved that, Kaneo's kunai entered the stream. The air in front of it subsequently warped, increasing pressure in such a manner that it dragged the kunai along.[3/4] The kunai sped towards the target at high speed, and even more force than normal. It moved almost faster than Kaneo could even track, and buried itself into the dummy eyelet deep. Quite the impressive result, honestly.[4/4] [ Jet Stream | Rank C | Learned ]
The next Mugen technique on Kaneo's play was an explicitly offensive maneuver. It would create little balls of air that exploded after compressing. What that would accomplish was ultimately beyond him.[1/4] To start, the genin made a series of handsigns. In the future he'd be able to do this with a sword in his hand, thanks to his exceptional chakra control, but for now this would do. Focusing he began to compress his chakra around a larger size than his final product would be.[2/4] As he continued, the technique compressed the air into a smaller and smaller sphere. It was a surprisingly taxing process. Though, Kaneo figured that was to be expected as exerting force with one's chakra, on anything, always seemed to be the most challenging.[3/4] Completing the process, the genin released his handseal and the orb burst. He could feel the air from where he was, and figured that anyone decently close to it would get quite the jolt. The next technique was sure to be a nifty one if Kaneo played his cards right. In essence it would allow him to manipulate his opponent's position by sacrificing one of his focus points. That could be pretty useful if he played his cards right, so to speak.[1/4] For this particular training, he'd use the focus point he'd already created, leaving it in the dummy and using it to move an item laid on the floor. In this case a small ball-bearing, which the genin set at the edge of the technique's range. As he understood it, it'd be exiting and he'd rather it not be at high speed while not under his control.[2/4] Concentrating, Kaneo activated the technique. Focusing on the ball bearing he directed the air pressure within its range in such a manner that it would move. The little ball of metal shifted ever so slightly, and then rolled out of range of the technique.[3/4] Next Kaneo picked the ball bearing back up, tossing it into the range of the technique with a flick of his wrist. It traveled normally at first, and then gathering air pressure caught it, redirecting it rapidly. Next up was an ability that let Kaneo split his vision between two of his focus points. Oh god, he could feel it now, welling up in his stomach. This was going to be nauseating as hell, he just knew it. Felt it in his bones.[1/6] The genin formed the necessary handsigns and his vision began to shift again, this time just about breaking him. Two different viewpoints in his head at the same time? It was enough to nearly knock him out on the spot.[2/6] To say the adjustment process was rough was an understatement. The swimming sensation of moving his vision was one thing. Literally splitting it in two was another entirely.[3/6] A few minutes of heavy breathing, and hardly moving, later and Kaneo was able to take a few steps. And stand without wobbling. Mizuki had better get here soon though, because he'd need someone to help get his bearings for using this s**t in a fight.[4/6] A few minutes later though, and he had his bearings almost entirely. He was honestly impressed by the progress. Especially considering he had been ready to curl up in a ball and cry about 5 minutes ago.[5/6] For now, Kaneo practice with kunai. If he planned to throw any of his weapons, he'd need to get used to being able to aim absent his normal perspective. Kaneo's next trick involved compressing a bunch of air over a wider area than normal. Supposedly the change in pressure would cause his opponents to feel light headed. How exactly the technique managed that considering how absurd it was at even the most basic of levels was beyond him.[1/6] So, compressing a bunch of air huh? That seemed like a pretty... difficult task if Kaneo had to be honest. Air was a fickle beast, and he wasn't just creating wind chakra to manipulate here.[2/6] He supposed he might get started actually training instead of studying a scroll though, and set about honing his focus. Picking a point near the dummy, the genin began channeling chakra to it. For the moment he was just trying to form it into a dome of sorts, really just get the general shape down.[3/6] He managed the dome after a few minutes of trying, and then came the rest. He channeled his chakra to suck air into the dome and compress it. The result was a hemisphere of high pressure that would have most of its effectiveness in just a moment.[4/6] In order to do that though, he'd need as much pressure as possible. The shinobi watched as the dome strained against the force held within it. It was quite a significant amount of pressure, which would hopefully assist with what came next.[5/6] Releasing his handseal, Kaneo subsequently relinquished control over the dome of chakra. It held valiantly for a moment, but ultimately burst. The wave of air washed out into the area around him. Kaneo was wrapping things up, but he still had a few techniques to learn in order to wrap up his bloodline abilities. The next thing on his list was a slight upgrade to Jet Stream. He was never a fan of upgrades, honestly, but this on at least gave an interesting benefit. It was such a simple matter for Jay to believe in Shiro. He was there in the hospital, always ready to protect life through healing. In order to protect life the man had groomed the pair in how to fight. He had at one point helped teach them to fight in the Dojo. Jay took back his hand from Shiro's shoulder, and allowing his sister to pull away from him, almost peel herself off of him. His offer made the duo make eye contact, and then touch hands. Slowly, they stepped in harmony backwards, giving him some space. "If that's what you wanted, you could've just ask to blow off some steam." With each step, there was less Jay and Jeon and more simply Jay. Jeon had elected to take on a support roll for this, but she definitely planned on helping out. When she was merely a head on his neck, Jay was about 20 feet away. "A fight on the roof for our test? I'd love it." Jay separated his legs and brought up his fists to the sides of his face. He had his weapons on him, but he still felt like he was a bearcub looking down the maw of a dire wolf. Even so, he was confident. "Don't pull your punches, I won't." Every muscle on him was visibly tense, even in his face, in his smile. Jeon was absolutely giddy.

As the twins took the space and then faded into one single being Shiro took a deep breath and began to circulate his chakra. As his golden chakra began to form a small aura upon his flesh and turn his eyes into golden disks he adopted, not the shooter stance that he was known for, but a different one. The back stance. With a slight turn of his wrist the air around his left hand began to shimmer a bit, waving it directly before the twins he quickly lunched in place with his right hand. From his right hand, erupted a vacuum bullet of golden chakra. Time to see if he still had it, against a friend he cherished above most others.

He conceded? Hachiro snapped back to himself, realizing that he had actually caused some harm. As the blade was released, Hachiro leapt back from Genesis. He stood still for a moment, realizing that his claim of not being a shinobi was no joke. " Forgive me, Genesis-san, I thought you to be humble. I didn't realize the truth of your claim." He bowed, just after sheathing his blade. He hoped his apology was accepted. There was still much to learn from him even if he was not trained as shinobi of this land were.
Genesis bowed to Hachiro as well "No need to forgive. I am the one who should apologize. I have never fought another person before. Where I come from we were taught to be meek and passive. This is very new to me" Sheathing his blade on his back, he sighed deeply "I need to grow strong to protect those that cannot protect themselves. For that I must learn the way of the shinobi. I will become Kenra's Champion"
He turned to look over his shoulder and glanced towards the roll of scrolls on an academies cubby wall "I am going to resume my training, you are welcome to join if you wish!"
