Reid
Reid's group, consisting of himself Crofton and Sachiko, hadn't even made it halfway across the desert when problems arose. Apparently, the Ranger Mobile took more damage in Crofton's scuffle with Takamaru the day before than he thought. Now they were parked out under a large, cavelike boulder while Crofton and Sachiko's Jynx worked on fixing the ride.
"This isn't so bad," Crofton reassured his teammates as he poked his head out from under the jeep. "I can have this baby up and runnin' again in a jiffy. Good thing I took those supplementary R-R-R-RAAAAANGER courses in high school, or I wouldn't know how to fix my own ride..."
The pink haired woman sighed and pulled up her matching pink scarf to better cover her face from the sandstorm. "Whatever, just hurry up. My water bottle is almost empty." Sachiko turned to face Reid, who stood at the edge of their overhead shelter watching the sandstorm. "Any news from the others?"
Despite the brutal weather, Reid still was wearing his usual blue gakuran. "Jaiden just left Castelia, he's flying overhead," he informed his teammates without turning around. "At this rate, he may beat us to Nimbasa if he goes his fastest. Yana is trying to leave now, but Wayne Lee is at the gates. She's working on figuring out how to sneak past him."
Sachiko snickered. Looks like the b***h was caught by her own hubris. Even though Yana would be safe from police suspicion in regards to the explosion at Kero's house, Wayne would still believe it was her. It did make her look more dangerous, but at the same time it was a lot of potential attention she didn't want.
"Gotcha. You want some water?"
Reid shook his head, and Sachiko returned to the jeep. He continued to stare out at the desert with his fingers on his temple.
Not another mind within a mile's range other than his and his two companions. Perfect.

((Sorry Jump, been stuck in TERA too much to post.))
"Above Castelia," Kero said as the jet lifted up above the city. "I have a better idea, since you still require briefing, can you make it? Give us an angle and jump." An apathetic sounding challenge.

"If people grow up ruled, they'll always think that way. My bets on the future generations, not this one." Goldberg took the wheel of the boat and set them off to a new destination.
"Don't gotta like 'em, just gotta save 'em."

Zack
So far, Zack and Jacqueline had been waiting patiently for Jump to finish his call. Now from the sounds of things, they were being ditched. Zack put his hand on Jump's shoulder.
"If you're leaving, just give me one thing," he held out his palm, "car keys. Now."
He was not driving around in a camper van.
---
Wayne
"Sal!" Wayne stepped back, his face flushed, he felt kinda embarrassed by his outburst. He hadn't been shouting at Henrietta. Not really.
"Hey, err--" he glanced to Henrietta then back to Salieri, putting a grin on, "Hey! You ready for some training?!"

"Sal," Henrietta turned her head at the arrival of the martial artist. And then Wayne changed the subject instead of answering her. She shot him a glare. "Wayne, this is important. We could all die."

Jump
Jump rolled his eyes. "Give us an angle and jump," he repeated under his breath mockingly in annoyance. The Interpol Agent looked up at the ceiling of the warehouse. It didn't look too thick. "Uhhh, my angle is up. Straight up." He was an upholder of justice, not geometry. "Watch the sky for the next thirty seconds, I'll be there."
He hung up and lowered his xtransceiver. "Looks like your old man is taking me out on a date. Hope his ride is nice." Jump walked forward to give himself some space from Zack and Jacqueline. He tossed the keys over his shoulder to Zack. "DON'T blow it up. Seriously."
And then he jumped, moving upwards at unseeable speeds. He phased through the ceiling via vibration and rocketed into the sky over the warehouse.
The apex of his jump brought him just above the nearest skyscraper, and when he reached it he kicked downward at the ground. The kick had the effect of shifting the air so quickly that it propelled him upwards slightly, allowing him to essentially double jump to keep his altitude.
Jump scanned the sky, waiting for some sort of jet. Or maybe some giant, flying leviathan pokemon that was terrifying. He wouldn't put that past Kero.

Salieri
Salieri rose an eyebrow. The Battle Girl wondered what Wayne and Henrietta had been talking about that could have gotten him so embarrassed. She didn't hear any of their conversation until she got close thanks to the sandstorm's roar. "As ready as I'll ever-wait, what?"
She paused, then looked over her shoulder again. Still no one else around. Sal turned back to face the two again, then cleared her throat. "What, uh, what did you just say?" she asked Henrietta.

Nimbasa truly was a spectacular city. Luka had only been walking around for an hour or two, acquainting himself with the area so he knew where he could go and do stuff and where the gym was. From what he could tell the gym was in the amusement park which seemed like a bit of a bizarre location, but, when he saw the huge purple building with its lightning bolts and thunderous appearence it made sense. So, Elesa the gym leader wasn't very subtle with her electric based theme. Hopefully when Luka tackled the gym tomorrow he should do alright. The only Pokémon he had with a direct weakness to Electric types were Squirt and Professor Layton, and he had Misa on board who was completely immune to those types of attacks. Clearly Elesa would be prepared for such a tactic so he would have to be careful.
He found himself a bench and sent out all of his Pokémon so they could just sit and chill. He liked chilling with his Pokémon. It allowed them to bond. And from what he could tell it looked like Professor Layton was going to start another of his lectures on the history of the desert. Why did he seem to attract all of the weird Pokémon?
Still, that didn't matter. One reason for choosing this particular bench was that he could see lots of people around him. It was the perfect place to try out his weird super-sight thingy that he had. He had got it working somehow in the desert but now he needed to get control of it. After all, it could be useful and it might help him to help his Pokémon in battle. He concentrated really hard on picturing the area around him, disconnecting himself from where he was and ranging around the area. Before long, the mesh and the colours began to appear in his head. He could see his Pokémon in front of him with a bright yellow aura of general cheer and then as he pushed his mind further out he could identify other people who had a variety of different colours, some blue, some yellow, some green and some red. Unfortunately, he couldn't go too far, his mind hit a barrier a few feet away from him and he had to stop pushing. He opened his eyes and could still faintly see the mesh and colours over the top of the world around him. It was weird, but, if he could harness this ability it could be useful if he figured out how to use it properly.

"She's just lost it," Wayne cut in, "she's going all crazy about how some guy threatened her."
From the looks of her, she was more than threatened, but Wayne made the effort to ignore that.
"Just cause you can't go through the day without getting messed up doesn't mean someone's trying to make your life a misery," he said to Henrietta.

"We've fought them twice, Wayne!" Henrietta snapped, clearly meaning to make him be quiet, then she looked at Salieri. "Team Plasma, one of their people approached me last night. He said we've interfered with them enough. To look the other way or we're dead."
***
And the jet came, flying through the air to Jump's location. The cargo doors had been opened, giving Jump an entrance as the jet engine air ship slowed to a halt to hover and wait for Jump to get aboard.

Jump
Jump double jumped again, this time landing inside the hangar. He walked through the jet, hands in pockets until he found Kero.
"So? What's this about?"
Suddenly, Jump realized he was essentially locked in a room with Kero. The scary man who's ex wife he had been flirting with the night before. Was this some sort of morbid trap? A sweatdrop appeared on the back of his head and he gulped.
"If this is about the ex..."
****
Salieri
Team Plasma? "Guys..."
Salieri became more alert as she grabbed her friends' shoulders and reeled them in for a huddle. Liuye Dao turned his back to the group, watching for any intruders to the conversation.
"I never actually fought anybody for the Dragon Skull, back in the Pinwheel Forest," she told them, only talking loud enough to get her voice heard above the sandstorm. "A Parasol Girl from Team Plasma gave it to me. And this morning, she was in the hotel room next to mine."
Her eyes went up to Wayne's. "Remember that waiter we battled at the Italian Restaurant? The one with blood red hair and the phony accent? He was with her too, talking in Unovan dialect. There's a good chance he was Plasma too, which means..."
She paused. Up until now it had only been a suspicion, albeit one that made her paranoid. But with Henrietta's story pieced together with her own, Salieri felt that it couldn't be a coincidence. She didn't like to draw conclusions normally. Now seemed like a time to discard that aversion.
"Which means they've been watching us."

Oh s**t.
Wayne backed quietly. He held an apologetic look towards Henrietta then started to speak: "I... have a bit of a confession as well. That parasol girl you mentioned? Last night, I woke up to find her in my hotel room with a sword pointed at my neck."
The trainer frowned, "Said she'd hurt the people close to me if I told anyone. But then she mentioned my little sister and... it's not like I could hold back after that. Guys, after I told my dad they found out. They killed my friend. Blew up my granddad's place."
He looked back to Henrietta. "I'm serious about this. You guys should stay away from Plasma. We all should. Fighting them is not worth the risk."

"Jean-Pierre," Kero said, disregarding Jump's words entirely. A screen before them flickered to life, showing the man. Easily older than Kero, but not any less deadly. "The orders are to kill him, but bring back The Arsenal intact."
Lining the walls of the cargo hold was equipment. Weapons, bullet proof this and that, pretty much the cargo hold was designed for people to prepare for combat. Kero had donned a thick looking outfit, completely black but clearly plated for taking blows. Across his back running horizontally were two bladed tonfas, looking to be made out of a hard black material than metal. Nor did they appear to be sharp.
Kero lifted a remote and pressed a button and the screen changed to showing a humanoid robot looking thing. Armor, created for the sole purpose of being a constant weapon. This was The Arsenal, a powered exoskeleton that ran off of electricity and the aura of dragons.

"I won't back down unless everyone does," Henrietta said in a quiet voice. The realization that they've been under surveillance and still could be was not outside of the scope of assumptions to be made. But with them all here it seemed to drive the point home that this could end very badly. Still..
"Both of you, Luka, Crown, Robby, Takamaru. Everyone goes home or I don't, I can't let my friends put their lives in danger. I can fight." She meant it this time. Something had happened, awoken in her. Confidence brought about by the crystals that saved her life, or a desire to protect her friends. Either way, she had resolved to fight if anyone else planned to.
"We should get everyone together and figure out what comes next." A meeting in Nimbasa, but where could they hide that would be ideal? Well, the closest thing was.. "my house there. We can meet there."

Salieri
Salieri took a step back and folded her arms. So the same thing that happened to Henrietta happened to Wayne. And apparently, Team Plasma wasn't all talk. They were serious. They were dangerous. They killed people.
She closed her eyes in thought. Did Team Plasma actually care about any of them? It didn't seem like it. They just wanted people to stay out of their plans. When Sal met Plasma at the Dreamyard, the battle was started because Bill decided to attack her. In the Pinwheel Forest, she went after them not to stop their agenda, but to gain a gym badge.
Ghetsis had said the night before that the burning of the Pinwheel Forest was caused by rogue extremists in Plasma's faction. Now that she knew what sort of tactics they used to manipulate people such as herself and her friends, she wasn't so sure.
Salieri opened her eyes, took a deep breath...and shrugged.
"I don't care about Team Plasma. Not at all. I'm not trying to bring these psychos to justice, I'm no hero. If all they wanted was for me to get out of their way, then that would be fine with me."
She sighed. "Thing is, what they want to do -liberate pokemon, keep us under their eye- is in direct opposition with my goals. Now they're in my way. And I'm not having any of that nonsense."
"Wayne, if you want to turn your tail and run, be my guest. Henrietta, if you want to lead a crusade to protect people, go right ahead. Until they make it personal, I'm not making a move. But once they do, you can be damn sure that I'm not just going to stand around doing nothing." ****
Jump
"Uh huh, uh huh," Jump responded absentmindedly as he examined the equipment. As soon as he realized this business was actually business, he lightened up.
Weapons and the like. He was no good with most weapons. And armor just slowed him down. Plus, he still had those eight bullets Jackie gave him in Nacrene City. As far as he was concerned, preparation was complete.
"We gotta keep that thing safe?" He scratched his head. These were the worst type of missions. Almost like a hostage rescue, only the hostage is fighting you. "Alright, so we're going for precision. Does this thing have any weaknesses?... also can I try it out when we get it back? It reminds me of Iron Man, pre-tty neat."

"Remind me again why you think this is necessary?"
A few of the shoppers in the department store's toy section turned their heads when the pale raven haired girl spoke. Her voice had a reverberating quality to it that was slightly eery. Or perhaps it was just in their heads. Either way, they didn't care for too long and soon started walking again.
N shook his head, his back to Zero's human disguise. "I asked you not to talk with your Extrasensory voice in public while you're still mastering it. It draws too much attention."
Zero smirked and leaned back in her seat on a waiting bench. "Would you rather have me talk in feral grunts?"
"That's a good point you raise," he agreed in his usual level tone. "The candidates all seem to care about their pokemon. However, this could be a facade just to please me while I'm in their presence, because I make my interests known immediately. So I'd like to examine them further while they have no idea I'm there."
He turned around, pointing to a fake moustache over his lips and a pair of toy glasses attached to a fake nose covering his real one. "I've watched enough Unovan television these past few months to know that simple disguises like these are very effective against humans. I predict a 90% chance of successfully passing myself of as an unassuming bystander."
Zero tilted her head to the side. The Zoroark tried to stifle her laughter. N must have truly trusted this method if he believed it would be more effective than simply having her conjure an illusionary cover for the two of them. The monster fox decided not to mention that. It would be funnier this way. "It's perfect."
"Of course it is. And only 100 pokedollars."

Kero
"No," Kero said curtly. There was no way anyone with even a single brain cell would let someone like Jump into a valuable piece of technology. It was like handing a toddler a weapon of mass destruction and asking them to not blow something up.
The door to the cargo bay had closed by now, leaving them to their ride. "According to the data collection team we've located him on Route eighteen. He slipped up, which is unlike him." Kero had a bad feeling about it. If the man wanted to be found this could be a trap. Alternatively...
"Be prepared for the worst."
