He gave her a playful glare, hitting the water for another splash at her. yeah yeah, maybe all this water in my ear made me forget." he said and shook his head, unable to hold back a smile. He layed back in the water, looking up at the sky. "Why did you want to be a ninja?" He asked.

 The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Kirinata laughed and let the water splash over her. It was rather refreshing actually. "Hmm? Why?" She repeated the question curiously, then answered. "Well, both my parents are ninjas. It was kinda expected that I follow their footsteps." She said with a shrug. She let him think on that for a moment, then grinned and added. "And then I fell in love with the wind jutsus and everything I could do with them. I want to learn every wind jutsu out there, and then create my own."  The tiger that should be....isn't....

Nowe smiled and looked at her from his comfertable spot. "Sounds great, I'm sure you'll do it in no time." he said. "So, what about your parents? Are they nice?" He asked, a bit curious. He never really got friendly with people, not that he minded the others. It just never happened.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Kirinata grinned at the praise, then lay on her back, floating with her arms behind her head. "I think they are, though you'd never guess it by listening to my brother." She said, laughing. "He makes them sound like ten-foot tall ogres that eat kids for breakfast, kittens for lunch, and puppies for dinner. But really, no. They're always there when I need them. Mom doesn't take many missions any more, but she's still quite fit. And god save you if you make her mad." The tiger that should be....isn't....

Nowe smiled lightly, "That sounds good. My mom is pretty sweet to. She wasn't a ninja like yours, but she still takes pretty good care of my burns from fire jutsu." He said. "What about your dad? Whats he like?" he asked, his voice changing lightly. Almost a bit hesitant.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Kirinata wondered at the change in Nowe's voice but answered anyways. "He's stern - you don't ever break his rules - but he knows how to laugh and joke. He's away on missions a lot, so I don't see him too much sometimes, but he always has a hug and a smile for all of us when he gets back." It was clear she loved her family dearly. "Why're you asking so suddenly?" She asked, her own question rather abrupt. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Nowe was silent for a moment, taking his time to answer. "No reason. Just for conversation sake. Sorry it was out of line." He said, his thoughts focused on elsewhere. He sat up in the water, looking over at her, "We should probably get out soon, it's getting late."

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Kirinata shrugged. "I didn't think it was out of line. I don't mind answering questions." She said easily. Laying on her back still, she began lazily swimming towards shore. "I suppose it is kinda late....." She trailed off. When she was shallow enough, she stood up and walked the last few steps out of the water. Wringing the water from her long hair, she glanced at the boy. "Hey Nowe? What''s your family like?" She asked softly, afraid of offending him. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Nowe paused when she asked the question, his shirt over his head. He pulled it down and picked up his head band. "Well, as I said before, my mom is really sweet. I don't have any siblings. As for my dad, he was a ninja. He loves this village and protects it. I look up to him, always have." He said as he tied his headband to his head.

But she didn't press for details, afraid of offending him, and merely nodded. She tugged her skirt on, tying her headband around her waist as a belt. Pulling the twin pony tails from her hair, she gathered all the long dark strands and coiled them into a bun, keeping the wet hair off her neck. "She we get back then?" She asked, tying off the bun. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Nowe nodded, fully dressed once more. "Yeah, lets go. I'm starving for dinner tonight." He said, thinking about what his mom might prepare. The thought caused his stomach to growl and he laughed lightly. "Lets just go." he said with a smile and started walking.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Kirinata's stomach growled soon after Nowe's. "Jeez. You're making me hungry!" She said with a laugh, walking beside him. She looked up at the sky. "So many pretty colors." She said softly, commenting on the sunset that was beginning to spread colors across the sky. The tiger that should be....isn't....
