 The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Markus shrugged easily. "Well, I've gotten bigger too, so it stands to reason that my wings would grow don't you think? Otherwise, they'd be too small to be of any use to me." He explained as they walked. "My wings are a part of me and grow the same way my arm or leg would."  The tiger that should be....isn't....

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Markus looked at her huffily, pretending to be insulted. "Of course I'm sure! My wingspan is at least twelve feet now, maybe more." He said pride mixed in with the mock hurt. The tiger that should be....isn't....

"Well, you've ALWAYS been bigger than me, so it's hard to tell the difference." Akila shrugged and giggled. It was true, she was rather small for her age.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Markus stuck his tongue out at her. "You're just jealous." He told her, crossing his arms and turning away - Right into a tree. Said tree managed to dumb him on his bottom from the force he'd walked into it with. "Well. That wasn't fun." He muttered, rubbing his forehead. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Akila gasped, and kneeled beside him, "Hey, are you alright?" she held his arm carefully. Not that she would admit that the situation was kind of funnier since that happened.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Markus flashed her a grin. "Me? I'm always fine. No need to worry." He said, jumping to his feet and helping Akila up. "I just need to learn to walk. I can lead a rebellion and muster thousands but I still can't walk." He laughed as he spoke, amused by his own lack of coordination. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Akila laughed, and touched his head, "Bet you gave yourself a nasty goose-egg." She blew out a chuckle and a sigh at the same time, "Come on, then." She grabbed his hand, and started walking again.

"...yeah..." Corina? Was that someone that could like him too? No, impossible. Of coarse, she didn't let these thoughts show on her face. "Much happier." She smiled at him a little nervously, nearly walking into a tree, herself.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... "Pay attention would you?" Markus scolded her playfully. He wrapped an arm around her waist to steady her. "I'd rather not be the cause of more bruises or anything, alright?" The tiger that should be....isn't....

His arm felt warm around her waist, and Akila looked up at him, "Oh alright, I guess I'll try."

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... "Good." Markus gave her a warm smile then fell silent. They walked in peaceful silence for quite sometime before his sharp ears caught the sound of the town just ahead. He stood, pulling away from Akila. "This is where I leave you. I'm too noticeable to go into town." He said, sounding apologetic. The tiger that should be....isn't....
