Jae didn't so much as flinch when he placed a hand on her shoulder, confirming what she knew all along. She shrugged out from under it, Noctis already venturing off. When he was gone she sighed, looking further out into the clearing."See Ayaki. Totally different now." Her eyes watered but she refused to cry. Taking another swig of the sake bottle, she downed it completely. She was going to forget this and was never going to look back on it. That was how she always did things and that was how she remained safe in her world. She sat there for awhile, continuing to sing to herself, switching to humming a different tune completely now and then. A new song. Something different. She wasn't sure when it was she would finish this song but she knew that when she finally had she would be a totally different person by then. Jae needed to let lose. She had been feeling so good only to be mellowed out drastically. Mulling over a few possibilities, all leading to trouble, she narrowed down her choices. First a walk. To sort of clear her head.

Skipping into the fields, the tiny girl spotted an open area without any weeds or farming material. Most of the Serec Fields were used for crops, but this little area seemed to be just fine for them to do their stuff in. Yawning, the little snow child rubbed her eyes and sat on the ground. Perhaps that nap she took earlier wasn't good enough... "Well, we'll be out here for the night. Is there anything you'd like to do, or talk about? Or would you like to get right into learning stuff?" The young Shinobi's amethyst tinted hues watched for what the Kunoichi was going to do, along with keeping her pet in her sights as well. The stipulations of this mission was that they could learn techniques, or spar. And since she had never sparred before, she didn't know when they actually started.

Just behind the little girl, Kinuyo and Nobu arrived at the field. It was surprising that she could find an open area like this, but it seemed as if it would be a reasonable place to stay. Almost immediately, Nobu stretched out his legs and found a nice area to lie down. Kinuyo eyed him enviously. He always seemed to found some place to be lazy. Then, Ayume spoke and Kinu directed her attention towards the child. "This is a mission, we should probably train first." Kinu replied. She didn't really want to spar with a little girl, even if the girl was an evil Shinobi using a transformation technique. Not only because that was, for obvious reasons, frowned upon in society, but also because she needed a lot more reviewing. At the same time... it would be good for Nobu to get off his lazy butt and do some fighting of his own rather than just watch Kinu train.

Nibbling on her lower lip, the child stood up and nodded as the Kitty Lady said they should probably train. "Well, how about this...how about we train a little on dodging. I have the perfect thing that won't harm us." Tapping into her Yukiton Chakra she formed two small fluffy clouds of snow that hung around her head. The only other person who was capable of this was the village's Kage, and even then, it was very unlikely that any Genin would know of the Hokage's abilities. Ayume had only just learned these techniques a few days before and was eager to be able to use them to have fun. Closing her eyes, the little girl concentrated as best she could on her Yukiton Chakra, making sure to keep the Fuuton base form settled within her. She was still getting used to having to select what form she wished her Chakra to take instead of just throwing it out there like she had done before. For people who had triple chakras, this must be damn near impossible!

Shooting the two clouds of snow up into the air, far into the cloud structures, she waited until they burst and a large amount of snow began to fall to the earth. Since it was nearing night, the air was cool and the ground was cold enough so the snow began to collect in their immediate area. Giggling, the child in pink ran around in circles, calling out to the cat woman. "Okay so, here's our weapon!" bending down, she collected snow and compacted it into a tiny little ball and held it out for Kinu to see. "We'll have a snowball fight! Fun huh?" With her words done, she focused a bit more and raised a large ball of snow at her side. It was about the size of bowling ball and was beginning to spin, taking aim at the girl who would be its target. "This is gonna be so much fun!" the tiny girl exclaimed before launching her tiny little snowball, as well as her massive one towards her female counterpart.

Dodging? What could she mean? Kinuyo wondered. Sparring usually was light contact or no contact, so maybe they'd just be sparring? The problem was that Kinu's objection was not a fear of hurting the little girl, just that fighting her at all didn't seem real fair. Suddenly, Ayume began some sort of attack, or move, or whatever. Instinctively, Kinuyo tensed and prepared to retaliate with her own somewhat lacking training. But... it appeared that wasn't what would be happening. Rather, once the girl shot the clouds into the sky, it started to...

Snow.

It all came back to Kinuyo so fast that the wind was nearly knocked out of her. She was a five year-old little girl, alone in the tundra, surrounded by bloody corpses of an unknown origin. Shaking. She was shaking uncontrollably. Yes... it would look like she was cold on the outside, but the memories she had pushed out were gone, brought on by a harmless training session. Kinuyo tried to swallow, but her saliva froze in her throat. Something came flying at her, but she couldn't move. It would hit her, but it was just snow. But her tiger was still there; Nobu stepped in front of Kinu clamped his mouth shut around the snowballs. They crushed in his massive jaws, like the bones of a weak prey. He nosed Kinuyo a bit, but she still seemed stunned. Despite his earlier bond with the small child, he shot a deadly glare at the small girl as if she had any way of knowing that this would shock Kinuyo as it did.

Putting her hands on her hips, Ayume pouted as her snow was eaten by the tiger. "No, no, no, that's not how you play!" Crossing her arms over her chest, she stomped her foot and stood there watching as Kinuyo shivered. Was it cold? Ayume couldn't tell since she was always in an aura of cold. The Hokage's office felt no different to her than standing outside in the sun. To most it would be chilled like a mid-winter morning. Chilled so much that you could see your breath before you. So needless to say, Ayume had never felt cold. Trudging through the quickly piling snow, her silver tresses following behind her like snow in the wind, she came up to the pair and knit her brows together in a bit of confusion and worry. "Are you okay Miss Kitty Lady? Are you cold?"

A voice broke through Kinuyo's out-of-body experience. The little girl from earlier approached, now in taller than little five year-old Kinuyo in her mind. Surrounded by blood and death, the sight was only less comforting. Something about the cold. She wasn't cold; being born in the snow country, she had the snow in her blood. The weather would never make her cold. But she was chilled. Kinuyo tried to respond, but also akin to a frightened child, no words came out. All she could do was stare at her with her childish brown eyes as if Ayume were the murderer, right there in the flesh. Yet, just like before, Nobu was beside her. His warm body seemed to almost melt the snow, just as it had all those years ago when he saved her. This brought Kinuyo back into reality. Fifteen again, but still unmoving. "I'm... fine," she lied.

Raising a pale brow at the girl's words, Ayume put her hands on her hips again. "You sure? You looked like a snow lion was going to eat you alive." Was there such things as snow lions? Snow... leopards? Yeah, that was them, but she already said lions so she inwardly shrugged and let it pass. "Well, are you ready to play now?" Smiling, the young Shinsetsu member was ready to play, completely unaware of whatever it was Kinu had gone through. Without her telling, how could the six year old even know? "Or would you rather just learn a few moves than have a snowball fight?"

Ready? Far from it. Kinuyo could hardly breathe, but how could she tell a child that seeing this snow was all of her night terrors coming back all at once. That might've worked, but an instinct had driven Kinuyo to deny being overly affected by the snow. "I'm... fine." She repeated the same sentence, her inflection identical to the first time she lied. But now that she had agreed to the snowball fight, there was no way to get out of it. Except, just as she thought this, Nobu began digging his paw in the snow. Or, at least, it looked like he was digging. Upon closer examination, each claw through the snow was him rolling it over, until he had created a small, lumpy snowball. Nobu shoved it with his paw, and it meekly collided with the nearby Ayume. Kinuyo was shocked, and still speechless.

The female was about to say something else to the girl's denial when she saw the lion rolling a ball. As it hit her leg, she giggled. "Aw, no fair! I wasn't ready Nobu! Okay, so that's 1 against 0. So not fair that you have two against one, but oh well. I'll give you a run for your money." Giggling yet again, Ayume turned and ran to get a bit of distance. Leaning down, she grabbed a small handful of snow and began to roll it up into a ball. Once she was satisfied with how far she was, she turned and tried to launch it towards the girl. Unfortunately, she had no physical strength, so it fell and began to roll its way toward them instead. Pouting, the girl figured the only way she'd get any real distance would be with the jutsu she learned earlier from the Hokage. That would be yet another thing Kinu had over Ayume, that she would need to expel Chakra in order to be in the snowball fight. "Okay so, the first to get to 5 points wins!"

The girl began running to create some distance, but Kinu still felt too sick to her stomach to move. It was dizzying, and whenever she lost her focus, the crimson began to return to the snow. The darkness, the emptiness... At least Nobu appeared to be handling the sparring situation. She directed her attention to him now, his eyes intent on such a trivial matter. But, somehow she could tell that he was only doing this because he didn't want Kinu to lose her pride in admitting her weakness. He took her pride of this fatal flaw into his own hands--well, paws--and directed this into winning some silly snowball fight. A snowball began rolling towards them. Nobu quickly kicked up some snow to redirect the attack so it moved around the frozen Kinuyo. Then, he quickly moved to scoop up some snow with his great paw as he had earlier and roll this towards his opponent. From these two attacks, the match appeared as if it would be more of a snowbowling fight than a traditional snowball fight.

A high pitch giggle escaped her lips as another ball of snow came at her. She'd have to make sure that she kept out of the way of the balls the tiger rolled at her in order to win. Slowly, Ayume began to form her own ball again, using her Hatsuyuki to add more and more snow, packing it into a tight circular object. A devilish little smile was on her lips as she got it to about the size she had last time. Looking at it, she wondered if she could get it any bigger. So she tried to do so. Adding more of her Yukiton chakra into her snow, she formed more snow onto the object until it was nearly as big as a canon ball. It was large and took quite a bit of her total chakra to create, but it would be pretty hard for the striped creature to avoid. It had a lot of mass to it as well, so it would give quite a hard impact if it hit him. This wasn't something he could eat like he did her others. It may just take out a tooth or two of his if he tried.

While his master was still frozen with her memories, Nobu took matters into his own paws. Creating a snowball was hard with paws and claws, and as such retaliating took a great amount of effort for the tiger. As his paws scrapped through the ground, creating a small dust of snow, the little one had already begun creating another snowball for her own attack. Seeing her finishing and launching the bizarrely large snowball, Nobu barely had enough time to move out of the way. His tail was hit as he moved out of the way. The remnants of snow melted against his flesh, and he instinctively flinched as the cold liquid touched his skin. Trying to create another snowball would be too difficult, and so for now Nobu figured he could simply try to create a distraction. The effects of the snow had to go away soon; Nobu would wait them out. For this purpose, he kicked up a large amount of snow into a dust-like veil of frost and increased their distance.

Ayume saw the ball change direction just slightly as it came into contact with the creature's tail. Gasping, she jumped up and down and pointed at him. "I got you, I got you!" It was just then that he started to kick up snow, ceasing her happy leaping. Scowling, the girl brought her hands up and whip up a large amount of wind and snow flakes. The wind would swirl around, creating a horrid snow storm of freezing wind. Using her control over the wind and snow, she launched the stuff outwards, creating a clear line of sight to her victims. Her frown was still on her lips as she pointed to the tiger. "Not fair! Not fair! You're trying to cheat!" she exclaimed.

Soon, this would all be over. Or, at least, so Nobu figured. When the girl cleared the snow, he pulled his gums back over his teeth in a ferocious growl. No longer a little kitty, Nobu saw this girl as a threat and was prepared to retaliate should she attack him or Kinuyo. His back legs tensed, ready to pounce, and his nails stretched in the snow. The snow, which continued to fall and pile up around them.
