"They're busy doing..." Vincent started.
"Other stuff..." Valkyrie continued.
"Like watching over the elites." Vincent finished.
"There are too many kids and not enough guards to watch them." Valkyrie started.
"There's not enough to put one in each class. And we're just normal scholarship students, even if we have the top grades." Vincent muttered, rolling his eyes.
"We used to be under protection until our grandparents died." Valkyrie sighed.
"But now we're wolf food, cause we're not important enough." Vincent finished with irritation. "Or rather, our mom isn't."
"No. It's because our grandparents aren't here to give donations anymore." Valkyrie muttered. "Money is power and status, Vincent."
"Oh, right. How could I forget." Vincent finished.

"I see. Well I will also mention something to the dean. If that is everything, then you two may go" the Absolute Leader stated. He was getting behind in his work now because of these kids, though he wasn't going to take it out on them. He thought the strap was enough.

"O....k...." Vincent muttered. The two tilted their head and looked at him, as if there was something strange about him. Normally, then never spoke to anyone freely, not even their own mother, but there was something about him that they just felt open about. "Do you..." Vincent started.
"Need help?" Valkyrie finished.
"We don't want to go back quite yet." Vincent said.
"But you will if you want us to..." Valkyrie finished, both giving him an odd look of curiosity.

"I prefer to work alone. This is adult matters I'm doing. It's no place for kids. I know you probably don't like your schoolmates but you live with them so you have to learn how to deal with them. Now go please. I have things to do" the Absolute Leader ordered. He didn't want kids hanging around while he was busy with stuff.

"Ok." Valkyrie started.
"We understand." Vincent finished. Both sounding extremely hurt. It was they way they were always shut out of everything and they hated it. The two stood up and Vincent led Valkyrie out. Valkyrie stopped to look at Damien one more time, but Vincent dragged her out of the room and closed the door behind him.

Jian saw the two exit and walk passed him, not even noticing him. Jian blinked and watched as Vincent wiped a tear from his eye with a determined look on his face, while Valkyrie kept her head down as she followed her brother towards the elevator.

Shadow walked over to her communicator and saw that someone was trying to call her. She let out a sigh and called them back.

Damien gave a heavy sigh. "I still can't believe that I am their biological father" he muttered to himself. He stood up and went over to a file cabinet. He unlocked it and began sorting through different files. He took a file back over to his desk and began looking through it, though his mind couldn't concentrate. He kept thinking about Vincent and Valkyrie. He shook his head. Snap out of it. I need to concentrate on the war at hand he said to himself in his head.

"I can't believe he ditched us like that." Vincent said, just as the elevator door closed.
"Brother, there's cameras." Valkyrie warned. "Besides, I don't think that's quite it."
"I know." Vincent said. "Damn it!"
"We'll see him again. He wants our work, remember. Besides, don't loose sight of what this means!" Valkyrie smiled.
"Yeah. We can build as much as we want, and we get our stuff back." Vincent said, as he started to calm down.
"And we don't have to get beaten up anymore." Valkyrie continued.
"But doesn't this mean we'll have to cut back on our pranking?" Vincent asked. Valkyrie thought for a moment.
". . . We'll get around security, just like we always do. We just can't tell the Absolute Leader." Valkyrie giggled.
"Of course." Vincent replied, just as the elevator door opened. Then noticed a bunch of security guys waiting for them, and they both screamed with alarm.

Zil chuckled at the response even as Sai was having her outburst as Kyrell leaned away from Sai as though scared from her outburst. Zil then put on his serious face and failed, having to repress his laughter one more time before speaking, "Chillax, people. I wouldn't suggest something that doesn't make sense. And no no. No guns, Mikhael. Well, at least you shouldn't be caught with them in my plan. Sai, you can borrow a fake ID from one of the 'missing' people. One that looks like you, preferably." He paused, "You can't go back without Fanny because despite the fact that she's a child, she's also one of the rebellion's top spies. Yeah, Dustin, Mikhael... She's provided more useful information than you two combined. Besides, Fanny knows a secret route through the 'troubled area' that even I don't know about. That's where she grew up. One of the border cities. I need you two to come in disguised as a mother and child duo. It'll work, Fanny's a good actress so don't worry about it" Zil said, laughing again about the outbursts. "And I assume she also knows where my weapon stack in Diethelm is. There's some food and clothes there as well as a motorcycle." He shrugged before adding, "Well, I think that thing is Dustin's. I forgot to give it back. Peeeaace" He said, holding up two fingers in front of Dustin.

"Wait, hold on!" Zil said as his communicator began to make a soft beeping noise. It was in his pocket and it was a good thing it wasn't on vibrate or something. He started, "Hello, sweet cheeks. How are you do- Oh. It's Shadow..." He said as he said louder, "Hi Shadow! It'll be hard to cross the border but don't worry. If you want, we'll come to fetch you. But maybe you should talk to Sai about that."

"Um... no." Shadow snapped. "Look, I had a rough night on call. I have a splitting headache, so I'll be frank. Who called me and why?"

Mikhael rolled his eyes, not so much out of spite, but more having fun. and from the use of his name. he didnt really care. this wass the circle of people who knew anyway. he looked over to Zil again, shrugging. "it was just a suggestion." he pulled his goggles off again, cleaning them off again.

The soldiers looked at each other, then at the kids. "Don't start that. We were told to escort you to your group." The squad leader said.
"Oh." Vincent said, taking a deep breath.
"Don't scare us like that." Valkyrie added in, as they both straitened up.
"Lead the way." Vincent said.

A few hours later, after the children had finished taking the tour, they were ordered back to the foyer to address the Absolute Leader and the Head General once more. As soon as Jian started to get caught up on his work, he got the message informing him that they were ready for him and the Absolute Leader. No doubt, Damien had also gotten the same message.
