Snow Raven appeared in the library at the Hall of Justice. Her hood was down, and her expression calm and collected as it always was. She was waiting for Brink and the Team to show up, having sent them each a message over their communicators to report to the Hall that morning.

...But nor am I an ugly, spiteful crow.

Vonna woke to the light beeping of the comm link in her earring. Sunlight was filtering through the blinds, brightening her bedroom, but not by much, so it was still pretty dim. She could see Aster sleeping on the futon next to the bed, and it brought a smile to her face to think that she had a friend she could actually bring home now. She tapped her earring, and the message from Snow Raven played into her ear. Well, it was a good thing it was a weekend. That meant she wouldn't have to give some excuse to her mom about why she'd be missing school.

Give me someone to protect. I'll give my life to keep them safe.
